Add crash-resilient Human-in-the-Loop suspension and resume for agentic systems (#5767)

## Change

This work has been inspired by the discussion in this issue on the
quarkus-langchain4j extension
https://github.com/quarkiverse/quarkus-langchain4j/issues/2638

However the task of improving the Human-in-the-Loop suspension is
something that we already discussed and that in my opinion belong mostly
to the langchain4j implementation.

This pull request:

- Adds the ability to suspend an agentic system when human input is
required, checkpoint its state to a persistent store, and resume it
later — even after a process restart or crash. Users choose the behavior
by returning either a `SuspendedResponse` (suspend and release the
thread) or a `PendingResponse` (block and wait in-process) from their
human-in-the-loop handler.
- Supports nested and parallel suspension points within the same
workflow, each independently resumable by response ID.
- Provides a `completePendingResponse(value)` convenience method on
`AgenticScope` for the common single-response case.
- Works with both the programmatic API (`HumanInTheLoop.builder()`) and
the declarative `@HumanInTheLoop` annotation.

You can find more details on how this works giving a look to the updated
documentation.

## Issue
<!-- Please specify the ID of the issue this PR is addressing. For

Closes #

## Change

PR #5759 changed `AgentMonitor.onAgentInvocationError` to defer moving
the `MonitoredExecution` from `ongoingExecutions` to `failedExecutions`
until all agents in `ongoingInvocations` have completed. This correctly
fixes the parallel sub-agent race condition described in the PR, but it
breaks the sequential (sequence/loop) error case.

Investigating this issue I also found a secondary bug: `rootCallEnded`
was never called on error, leaking ephemeral `AgenticScope` instances in
the registry. I added one more test case for this.

<!-- Please specify the ID of the issue this PR is addressing. For

Closes #5760

## Change

The `@A2AClientAgent` annotation previously required `a2aServerUrl` as a
compile-time string literal, making it impossible to configure the URL
per environment (dev, staging, production).

This PR adds an `@A2AServerUrlSupplier` companion annotation — a static
method that returns the URL at agent construction time — following the
same supplier pattern already used by `@McpClientSupplier` for
`@McpClientAgent`.

It also bumps the A2A client to the latest `1.1.0.Final` version.

## Change

Agentic patterns define a `beforeCall` method that didn't have a
counterpart in the declarative API. With this pull request I also added
a new `writeStateIfAbsent` method on the `AgenticScope` and tried to
clarify a bit the documentation of the declarative API itself.

Fix race condition in AgentMonitor.onAgentInvocationError with parallel sub-agents (#5759)

## Issue
`AgentMonitor.onAgentInvocationError` unconditionally removed the entire
`MonitoredExecution` from `ongoingExecutions` when any single agent
errored. In a `ParallelAgent` scenario, if one sub-agent failed (e.g. a
`SocketTimeoutException`) while siblings were still running, those
siblings would hit an `NPE` in `afterAgentInvocation` because the shared
execution had already been removed.

Closes #

## Change

The fix makes `onAgentInvocationError` mirror the lifecycle of
`afterAgentInvocation`: it removes only the erroring agent from the
execution's `ongoingInvocations` and defers removal of the execution
itself until all agents have completed.

Surface async agent failures as AgentInvocationException (#5746)
## Issue
Closes #5745

## Change

`DelayedResponse.blockingGet()` resolves its future with
`CompletableFuture.join()`, which wraps any failure in a
`java.util.concurrent.CompletionException`. So when an async agent
fails, the caller does not get the `AgentInvocationException` that the
sync path throws; it gets a `CompletionException` (cause
`AgentInvocationException`) once the result is resolved through
`AgenticScope.readState(...)` or when the root call ends. A `catch
(AgentInvocationException)` handles the sync case but misses the async
one.

`AsyncResponse`, `StreamingResponse` and `PendingResponse` are the three
`DelayedResponse` implementations, and all leak `CompletionException`
from `blockingGet()` the same way. This adds a shared
`DelayedResponse.join(CompletableFuture)` helper that rethrows the
original cause instead of the `CompletionException` wrapper when the
cause is unchecked (`RuntimeException`/`Error`), and routes all three
through it. A checked-exception cause is left wrapped, so no checked
exception is thrown from an unchecked method.

Behaviour change: `blockingGet()` no longer leaks `CompletionException`;
it surfaces the underlying cause. An async agent failure now throws
`AgentInvocationException`, matching the sync path; a streaming or
pending failure surfaces its own cause (for streaming that is the model
error, which was never an `AgentInvocationException`). Code that
specifically caught `CompletionException` here would now catch that
underlying type. This does not touch the parallel executor, which
surfaces sub-agent failures through its own `ExecutionException`
handling.

Tests:
- `DelayedResponseTest` (unit, per implementation): a failed
`AsyncResponse` / `PendingResponse` / `StreamingResponse` rethrows the
original `AgentInvocationException` (same instance), a checked cause
stays wrapped in `CompletionException`, and a successful response is
returned unchanged.
- `AsyncAgentExceptionParityTest` (end-to-end through
`AgenticServices`): a failing agent throws `AgentInvocationException` on
both the sync and async paths, and the two exceptions have the same
type.

Both fail on current main (async throws `CompletionException`) and pass
with the change.

```
mvn -pl langchain4j-agentic test
```

Module suite: 78 tests, 0 failures (7 new).

Follow-up to #5653 addressing review feedback on AgentsRegistry.

## Change

  CompositeAgentsRegistry.allAgents() returns an unmodifiable map
The interface javadoc promises "an unmodifiable map of agent names to
AgentInstances" and EmptyAgentsRegistry honors this with Map.of(), but
CompositeAgentsRegistry was returning the internal HashMap directly.
Callers could
put()/clear() and silently corrupt the shared registry. Now wrapped with
Collections.unmodifiableMap().

  AgentsRegistryIT calls refresh() after classloader swap
The integration test was setting the context classloader but not calling
AgentsRegistry.refresh(), so it only worked if no prior code in the JVM
had triggered AgentsRegistry.get(). If any earlier test initialized the
holder
(e.g. AgentsRegistryTest leaving it as the empty registry), the IT would
see a stale empty registry. Added refresh() in both @BeforeAll and
@AfterAll.

  Evaluated but not changed

  Static initializer poisoning (LazyHolder.INSTANCE = discover())
The reviewer noted that if discover() throws during the static field
initializer (e.g. duplicate agent names), the holder class is
permanently poisoned with ExceptionInInitializerError, and every
subsequent get()/refresh()
throws NoClassDefFoundError. Moving discovery out of the static
initializer was considered, but the only alternatives either break
thread safety (multiple threads calling discover() concurrently on first
access) or require
explicit synchronization (double-checked locking), which adds complexity
disproportionate to the risk. The poisoning scenario only occurs with a
misconfigured SPI provider, which is a deployment-time error rather than
a
runtime race. The holder idiom's thread safety guarantee via the JVM
class loading mechanism was preserved as-is.

  Registry override via builder (.registry(myOwnRegistry))
Allowing builders to accept an explicit registry instead of relying
solely on SPI was acknowledged as a good idea but deferred to a
follow-up PR to keep this change scoped.

@RegistryAgent ignoring @V parameters / exception types / package
placement
These were flagged as minor/non-blocking in the review and are not
addressed here.

## Change

This is a complete rework of the `AgentRegistry` implemented by this
pull request github.com/langchain4j/langchain4j/pull/5551

The scope of this second implementation is quite different and less
invasive than the original one since it doesn't care of providing a
mechanism for dynamic discovery and rewiring of agents for an ongoing
execution, but only to provide a thin layer of integration with external
agents providers.

The new section added to the documentation should better clarify how
this works.

fix: advance the planner when an agent error handler returns a result (#5682)
# Issue

Fixes #5681

## Change

When an agent inside a workflow (e.g. a `sequenceBuilder()`) fails and
the configured `errorHandler` returns `ErrorRecoveryResult.result(...)`,
`invoke()` never returns. The calling thread spins at 100% CPU with no
response.

Reproduction from the issue: a two-agent sequence where the second agent
is invoked with a missing argument, and the handler returns a default
value:

```java
.errorHandler(errorContext -> ErrorRecoveryResult.result("it is default value"))
```

The handler runs (its logging is printed), but the workflow then hangs.

### Root cause

In `AgentExecutor`, the normal completion path writes the output key,
registers the invocation, and calls `planner.onSubagentInvoked(...)` so
the planner can schedule the next action. The synchronous
`RETURN_RESULT` recovery branch skipped all of this and just returned
the recovered value.

As a result the planner was never advanced past the failed agent. In
`PlannerBasedInvocationHandler.PlannerLoop.loop()` the `nextAction`
stays `null` and the loop keeps running `Thread.yield(); continue;`
forever.

`retry()` and `throwException()` were unaffected (retry re-enters the
normal completion path, throw propagates out of the loop), which is why
only `result()` hung, and it had no workflow-level test coverage.

### Fix

Route the returned recovery result through the same completion logic as
a normal response (extracted into `completeAgentInvocation`): write the
output key, register the invocation, and notify the planner.

The async path already notifies the planner with a placeholder before
the task runs, so it keeps returning the raw recovered value to avoid a
double notification.

### Test

Added `ErrorRecoveryResultTest`, a model-free regression test (stub
`ChatModel`) covering both planner outcomes when a failed agent recovers
via `result(...)`: one where the failing agent is in the middle of the
sequence (the planner must advance to the next agent, which receives the
recovered value) and one where it is the last agent (the planner must
terminate and return the recovered value, matching the issue repro).
`assertTimeoutPreemptively` makes a regression fail fast rather than
hang CI.

```
mvn -pl langchain4j-agentic test
Tests run: 65, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0
```

Verified the new test times out (fails) on unmodified main and passes
with the fix. `mvn -pl langchain4j-agentic spotless:check` is clean.

Also ran the existing error-recovery and sequence integration tests in
`WorkflowAgentsIT` against a live model (`sequential_agents_tests`,
`sequential_agents_with_error_tests`,
`sequential_declarative_agents_with_error_recovery_tests`,
`sequential_programmatic_agents_with_error_recovery_tests`,
`error_recovery_with_async_agent_tests`); all green, confirming the
`retry()` / `throwException()` paths and the shared completion path are
unaffected.

Closes #5569

## Change

I added a configurable upper limit for the entries retained by the
`AgentMonitor`. There is a breaking change due to the fact that the
`AgentMonitor` itself doesn't directly implement anymore the
`AgentListener` interface, but it does so trough an inner class. I did
this because I wanted to clearly separate the public `AgentMonitor` API
from the `AgentListener` 's methods implementation.

fix: declarative agentic Javadoc. replace removed `@SubAgent` with the array form (#5473)
## Issue
Closes #5472

## Change
PR #4081 (commit `e5fde130f`) removed the `@SubAgent` annotation and
updated the six main declarative annotations to the `subAgents = {
X.class, ... }` array form, but nine helper annotations in
`langchain4j-agentic/.../declarative/` still show the old
`@SubAgent(type = X.class, outputKey = "...")` in their Javadoc
`{@code}` examples, so copying them no longer compiles. This PR updates
those 9 files (`ErrorHandler`, `Output`, `ParallelExecutor`,
`ChatModelSupplier`, `PlannerSupplier`, `SupervisorRequest`,
`ActivationCondition`, `LoopCounter`, `ExitCondition`) to the array
form, matching `SequenceAgent`. Javadoc-only; no API/behaviour change,
no tests needed. Two of these files (`ChatModelSupplier`,
`PlannerSupplier`) additionally pick up Spotless `ratchetFrom`
formatting (static-import ordering, empty-body `{}`) that editing them
mandates for green CI — no functional effect.

```java
// before
@SequenceAgent(outputKey = "story", subAgents = {
        @SubAgent(type = CreativeWriter.class, outputKey = "story"),
        @SubAgent(type = AudienceEditor.class, outputKey = "story") })
// after
@SequenceAgent(outputKey = "story",
        subAgents = { CreativeWriter.class, AudienceEditor.class })
```

fix: Coerce Number values to short and byte target types in agentic argument adaptation (#5469)
## Issue
Closes #5468

## Change
`AgentUtil.adaptValueToType(Object, Class)` coerces a `Number` from the
agentic scope to common target types, but its `switch` omitted
`short`/`byte` (and their boxed forms). For those targets the `default
-> value` branch returned the original boxed value (e.g. `Integer`), so
reflective invocation of the agent method failed with `argument type
mismatch`. The sibling `String` branch in the same method already
handled a broader set, making the handling asymmetric.

This adds the two missing cases to the `Number` switch:

```java
case "short", "java.lang.Short" -> n.shortValue();
case "byte", "java.lang.Byte" -> n.byteValue();
```

No other line is touched; existing behaviour is unchanged — only
previously-uncoerced targets are fixed.

Added two unit tests in `AgentUtilTest`
(`should_coerce_integer_to_short`, `should_coerce_integer_to_byte`)
mirroring the existing `should_coerce_string_to_integer`, exercising the
public path `AgentUtil.agentInvocationArguments(...)` deterministically
(no LLM/API key). Both fail before the fix (`Integer 42 != Short/Byte
42`) and pass after.

fix: LoopAgent subAgents() Javadoc: sub-agents run in sequence, not in parallel (#5475)
## Issue
Closes #5474

## Change
`LoopAgent.subAgents()` Javadoc claimed sub-agents are "invoked in
parallel", but `LoopPlanner` calls them one at a time per loop iteration
(`LoopPlanner.nextAction()` increments `agentCursor` and calls
`agents.get(agentCursor)`; there is no parallel path). The text was
apparently copied from `@ParallelAgent` and also contradicts
`LoopAgent`'s own class Javadoc ("in a loop"). Changed the one line to
"invoked in sequence at each loop iteration", matching `SequenceAgent`'s
wording. Javadoc-only; no API/behaviour change, no tests. The file also
picks up Spotless `ratchetFrom` static-import reordering that editing it
mandates for green CI — no functional effect.

```java
// before
Array of sub-agents that will be invoked in parallel.
// after
Array of sub-agents that will be invoked in sequence at each loop iteration.
```

feat(agentic): support SupplierParameterResolver for @ParallelExecutor (#5437)
## Issue
Closes #5378

## Change
- Resolve `@ParallelExecutor` method parameters through the existing
`SupplierParameterResolver` mechanism.
- Reuse the same executor resolution path for declarative
`@ParallelAgent` and `@ParallelMapperAgent` services.
- Fail fast when a parameterized `@ParallelExecutor` has no registered
resolver, instead of passing unresolved parameters through the default
path.
- Add tests for resolved parallel executors, resolved parallel mapper
executors, and the missing-resolver failure case.

## Tests
- `./mvnw -pl langchain4j-agentic -Dtest=SupplierParameterResolverTest
test`
- `./mvnw -pl langchain4j-agentic spotless:check`

feat(agentic): generalise SupplierParameterResolver to all supplier types (#5394)
## Summary

Generalises the parameter resolver SPI to all supplier annotation types,
not just `@ChatModelSupplier` and `@StreamingChatModelSupplier`.

Previously, supplier methods for `@ContentRetrieverSupplier`,
`@RetrievalAugmentorSupplier`, `@ChatMemorySupplier`,
`@ToolProviderSupplier`, `@ToolsSupplier`, and `@AgentListenerSupplier`
rejected any parameters via `checkArguments(method)`. DI frameworks like
Quarkus could only resolve parameters on chat model suppliers.

## Changes

- **New `SupplierParameterResolver` interface** — generalised name,
identical contract to the old `ChatSupplierParameterResolver`
- **`ChatSupplierParameterResolver` deprecated** — retained as a
subinterface for backward compatibility
- **`DeclarativeUtil` updated** — extracted
`invokeSupplierWithResolvers()` helper, applied parameter resolution to
all supplier types in `configureAgent()`
- **Backward compatible** — `addChatSupplierParameterResolver()` and
`getChatSupplierParameterResolvers()` still work (deprecated)

## Motivation

This enables DI frameworks to provide CDI/Spring beans as parameters to
any supplier method. For example, in Quarkus:

```java
@ContentRetrieverSupplier
static ContentRetriever retriever(@CdiBean VectorDbRetriever vectorDb) {
    return vectorDb;
}
```

Without this change, `@CdiBean` only works on `@ChatModelSupplier`. See
quarkiverse/quarkus-langchain4j for the consuming implementation.

Closes #5377

## Test plan

- [x] All 4 existing `ChatSupplierParameterResolverTest` tests pass
(backward compat)
- [x] 3 new `SupplierParameterResolverTest` tests:
`@ContentRetrieverSupplier` resolution, `@ChatMemorySupplier`
resolution, context reports correct supplier method
- [x] Full suite: 50 tests, 0 failures

Closes #5311

## Change

I added to documentation how this works and pasting documentation here
for your convenience.

**Multi-turn conversations with A2A servers**

The A2A protocol supports multi-turn conversations through `contextId`
and `taskId` fields on the message envelope. A `contextId` groups
related tasks into a conversation, while a `taskId` references a
specific task within that conversation. When omitted, the A2A server
generates new values; when provided, the server continues the existing
conversation.

To pass these fields on the outgoing message envelope, annotate method
parameters with `@A2AContextId` and `@A2ATaskId`. These parameters are
**not** sent as message content — they are set on the message envelope
instead.

```java
public interface ChatAgent {
    @A2AClientAgent(a2aServerUrl = "http://localhost:8080", outputKey = "response")
    String chat(@V("question") String question,
                @A2AContextId @V("contextId") String contextId,
                @A2ATaskId @V("taskId") String taskId);
}
```

When `null` is passed for `contextId` or `taskId`, the field is omitted
from the envelope and the server creates new values.

When the `@A2AContextId` or `@A2ATaskId` parameters also have
recognizable names, possibly configured through the `@V` annotation, the
server-assigned values from the response are automatically written back
to the `AgenticScope` under that name. This enables multi-turn flows
where the first call captures the IDs and subsequent calls reuse them.

If the method returns `ResultWithAgenticScope`, the IDs are accessible
directly:

```java
public interface ChatAgent {
    @A2AClientAgent(a2aServerUrl = "http://localhost:8080", outputKey = "response")
    ResultWithAgenticScope<String> chat(
            @V("question") String question,
            @A2AContextId @V("contextId") String contextId,
            @A2ATaskId @V("taskId") String taskId);
}
// First turn — server generates contextId and taskId
ResultWithAgenticScope<String> first = chatAgent.chat("hello", null, null);
String contextId = (String) first.agenticScope().readState("contextId");
String taskId = (String) first.agenticScope().readState("taskId");
// Second turn — reuse the server-generated IDs to continue the conversation
ResultWithAgenticScope<String> second = chatAgent.chat("follow-up", contextId, taskId);
```

In this way, when an A2A agent is used in an agentic system, the
`contextId` and `taskId` are automatically propagated through the shared
`AgenticScope`. This means a sequence of two A2A calls to the same
server will naturally form a multi-turn conversation:

```java
public interface EchoSubAgent {
    @A2AClientAgent(a2aServerUrl = "http://localhost:8080", outputKey = "response")
    String echo(@V("question") String question,
                @A2AContextId @V("contextId") String contextId,
                @A2ATaskId @V("taskId") String taskId);
}
public interface MultiTurnWorkflow extends AgenticScopeAccess {
    @Agent
    ResultWithAgenticScope<String> converse(@V("question") String question);
}
EchoSubAgent firstTurn = AgenticServices
        .a2aBuilder("http://localhost:8080", EchoSubAgent.class)
        .outputKey("firstResponse").build();
EchoSubAgent secondTurn = AgenticServices
        .a2aBuilder("http://localhost:8080", EchoSubAgent.class)
        .outputKey("secondResponse").build();
MultiTurnWorkflow workflow = AgenticServices.sequenceBuilder(MultiTurnWorkflow.class)
        .subAgents(firstTurn, secondTurn)
        .outputKey("secondResponse").build();
ResultWithAgenticScope<String> result = workflow.converse("hello");
```

In this sequence, the first agent sends a message with no
`contextId`/`taskId` (they are `null` in the scope). The server creates
a new task and context. The response IDs are written to the scope. When
the second agent runs, it reads the now-populated `contextId` and
`taskId` from the scope and sends them on the message envelope,
continuing the same conversation.

## Change

This pull request introduces the new Blackboard agentic pattern working
as explained in the new section added to the `agents.md` documentation.

It also implements a minor non-breaking improvement to the
`HumanInTheLoop` pattern allowing to optionally declare its input keys,
so that they can be used by agentic patterns using the agent's inputs as
precondition for its activation like GOAP, P2P and this new Blackboard
one.

fix(agentic): avoid duplicate declarative tool providers (#5315)
## Issue
Fixes #5309

## Change
This PR fixes duplicate declarative `@ToolProviderSupplier` registration
when a declarative agent is built through
`AgenticServices.createAgenticSystem(...)` fallback logic or as a
regular sub-agent.

The public `AgentBuilder(Class)` constructor still applies declarative
configuration as before. For the two `AgenticServices` paths that
already call `configureAgent(...)` explicitly, this PR adds an internal
builder creation path that skips constructor-time declarative
configuration, so the same declarative tool provider is applied only
once.

`ToolService` duplicate-tool validation is intentionally left unchanged,
so legitimate duplicate tool definitions should still fail as before.

fix: make AgentMonitor thread-safe under concurrent invocations (#5297)
## Summary

`AgentMonitor` is auto-registered on every agent built via
`AgentBuilder`
([AgentBuilder.java#L210-L212](https://github.com/langchain4j/langchain4j/blob/main/langchain4j-agentic/src/main/java/dev/langchain4j/agentic/agent/AgentBuilder.java#L210-L212))
and is therefore reachable from multiple threads whenever an agentic
system runs a parallel topology (`ParallelAgentService`,
`ParallelMapperService`, …) or when several invocations share the same
`memoryId`. Two thread-safety defects could lose tracked executions or
corrupt the result lists.

### 1. Non-atomic check-then-put on `ongoingExecutions`

`beforeAgentInvocation` did a plain check-then-put on a
`ConcurrentHashMap`:

```java
MonitoredExecution currentExecution = ongoingExecutions.get(memoryId);
if (currentExecution == null) {
    currentExecution = new MonitoredExecution(agentRequest);
    ongoingExecutions.put(memoryId, currentExecution); // race
}
```

Two threads entering with the same `memoryId` could both observe `null`,
both construct a new `MonitoredExecution` and both `put` — the losing
`put` silently overwrites the winner, so one of the two invocations is
never tracked and the corresponding `afterAgentInvocation` later throws
`IllegalStateException` from `MonitoredExecution.afterAgentInvocation`.
Structurally the same defect that was fixed for
`ChatMemoryService.getOrCreateChatMemory` in #5253.

Fixed by replacing the check-then-put with `computeIfAbsent`, using an
`AtomicBoolean` to distinguish the just-created case (no inner
`beforeAgentInvocation` needed) from the existing case (delegate to the
existing `MonitoredExecution`).

### 2. Non-thread-safe `ArrayList` inside `ConcurrentHashMap`

`afterAgentInvocation` and `onAgentInvocationError` stored plain
`ArrayList`s as values:

```java
successfulExecutions.computeIfAbsent(memoryId, k -> new ArrayList<>()).add(execution);
failedExecutions.computeIfAbsent(memoryId, k -> new ArrayList<>()).add(execution);
```

`computeIfAbsent` is atomic, but the `add` that follows is not —
concurrent completions on the same `memoryId` can corrupt the underlying
array (lost entries, `ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException`, `null` slots).
Switched both maps to `Collections.synchronizedList(new ArrayList<>())`,
which is the convention already used elsewhere in the module
([DefaultAgenticScope.java#L46-L47](https://github.com/langchain4j/langchain4j/blob/main/langchain4j-agentic/src/main/java/dev/langchain4j/agentic/scope/DefaultAgenticScope.java#L46-L47),
[AgentInvocation.java#L19-L20](https://github.com/langchain4j/langchain4j/blob/main/langchain4j-agentic/src/main/java/dev/langchain4j/agentic/observability/AgentInvocation.java#L19-L20)).

## Changes

- `AgentMonitor.java` — `computeIfAbsent` + `AtomicBoolean` for
`beforeAgentInvocation`; `synchronizedList` for `successfulExecutions` /
`failedExecutions`.
- `AgentMonitorConcurrencyTest.java` — new tests:
- `concurrent_invocations_with_distinct_memory_ids_are_all_tracked` —
200 top-level invocations across 32 threads with distinct memory IDs;
verifies all are recorded and no state leaks into `ongoingExecutions`.
- `concurrent_parallel_sub_agent_invocations_are_all_recorded` — 200
sub-agents running under a single root invocation, fanned out across 32
threads; verifies all nested invocations land in the root's
`nestedInvocations` list and that the root completes cleanly.

## Test plan

- [x] `mvn -pl langchain4j-agentic test -DskipITs` — 45 tests pass,
including the two new concurrency tests.
- [x] No public API changes (internal observability bookkeeping only).

## Change
<!-- Please describe the changes you made. -->

This pull requests introduces two new features:

- It allows an agent to switch among different models based on the
result of a selector function of the `AgenticScope`
- A new `Voting` agentic pattern that fans out all sub-agents in
parallel and aggregates their results via a pluggable `VotingStrategy`.

Regarding the new voting pattern, I understand that something quite
similar could have been achieved already with the parallel workflow,
plus an output function, but I received multiple feedback on the fact
that it will be nice to have more explicit and use-case driven agentic
patterns implementation and use them as building blocks for more complex
agentic system, so I collected a few proposals and will add a few other
patterns in the near future.

Closes #5103

## Change

The NPE only happens when using the supervisor pattern, because it
internally uses a chat model on its own. I reproduced the bug in an
isolated way and fixed the supervisor to always propagate the agentic
scope even when calling its own internal AiService.
