GCC collect2 passes several options to the linker even if LTO is not used (note, lld does not support GCC LTO). The lto-wrapper may be a relative path (especially during development, when gcc is in a build directory), e.g. -plugin-opt=relative/path/to/lto-wrapper We need to ignore such options, which are currently interpreted by cl::ParseCommandLineOptions() and will fail with `error: --plugin-opt: ld.lld: Unknown command line argument 'relative/path/to/lto-wrapper'` because the path is apparently not an option registered by an `llvm:🆑:opt`. See lto-plugin-ignore.s for how we interpret various -plugin-opt= options now. Reviewed By: grimar, tejohnson Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D78158 |

LLVM Linker (lld)
This directory and its subdirectories contain source code for the LLVM Linker, a modular cross platform linker which is built as part of the LLVM compiler infrastructure project.
lld is open source software. You may freely distribute it under the terms of the license agreement found in LICENSE.txt.
Benchmarking
In order to make sure various developers can evaluate patches over the same tests, we create a collection of self contained programs.
It is hosted at https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/linker-tests/lld-speed-test.tar.xz
