The recent expression type changes still need more discussion, which will happen on phabricator or on the mailing list. The precise list of commits reverted are: - "Refactor division generation code" - "[NFC] Generate runtime checks after the SCoP" - "[FIX] Determine insertion point during SCEV expansion" - "Look through IntToPtr & PtrToInt instructions" - "Use minimal types for generated expressions" - "Temporarily promote values to i64 again" - "[NFC] Avoid unnecessary comparison for min/max expressions" - "[Polly] Fix -Wunused-variable warnings (NFC)" - "[NFC] Simplify min/max expression generation" - "Simplify the type adjustment in the IslExprBuilder" Some of them are just reverted as we would otherwise get conflicts. Polly - Polyhedral optimizations for LLVM ----------------------------------------- http://polly.llvm.org/ Polly uses a mathematical representation, the polyhedral model, to represent and transform loops and other control flow structures. Using an abstract representation it is possible to reason about transformations in a more general way and to use highly optimized linear programming libraries to figure out the optimal loop structure. These transformations can be used to do constant propagation through arrays, remove dead loop iterations, optimize loops for cache locality, optimize arrays, apply advanced automatic parallelization, drive vectorization, or they can be used to do software pipelining.
