Peter Collingbourne f770683f14 Implement the __builtin_call_with_static_chain GNU extension.
The extension has the following syntax:

  __builtin_call_with_static_chain(Call, Chain)
  where Call must be a function call expression and Chain must be of pointer type

This extension performs a function call Call with a static chain pointer
Chain passed to the callee in a designated register. This is useful for
calling foreign language functions whose ABI uses static chain pointers
(e.g. to implement closures).

Removes the ability to look for generic attributes and keywords via this macro, which has the potential to be a breaking change. However, since there is __has_cpp_attribute and __has_declspec_attribute, and given the limited usefulness of querying a generic attribute name regardless of syntax, this seems like the correct path forward. 2014-12-05 15:24:55 +00:00

//===----------------------------------------------------------------------===//
// C Language Family Front-end
//===----------------------------------------------------------------------===//

Welcome to Clang. This is a compiler front-end for the C family of languages
(C, C++, Objective-C, and Objective-C++) which is built as part of the LLVM
compiler infrastructure project.

Unlike many other compiler frontends, Clang is useful for a number of things
beyond just compiling code: we intend for Clang to be host to a number of
different source-level tools. One example of this is the Clang Static Analyzer.

If you're interested in more (including how to build Clang) it is best to read
the relevant web sites. Here are some pointers:
