The Decl::isUsed has a value for every decl. In non-module builds it is very
difficult (but possible) to break this invariant but when we walk up the redecl

When deserializing the decls from a module it is much more difficult to update
correctly this invariant. The patch centralizes the information whether a decl
is used in the canonical decl marking the entire entity as being used.

This patch does not add new tests. The goal is to preserve the existing functionality while storing more info in the clauses.

I. Current implementation of images is not conformant to spec in the following points:
1. It makes no distinction with respect to access qualifiers and therefore allows to use images with different access type interchangeably. The following code would compile just fine:
void write_image(write_only image2d_t img);
kernel void foo(read_only image2d_t img) { write_image(img); } // Accepted code
which is disallowed according to s6.13.14.
2. It discards access qualifier on generated code, which leads to generated code for the above example:
call void @write_image(%opencl.image2d_t* %img);
In OpenCL2.0 however we can have different calls into write_image with read_only and wite_only images.
Also generally following compiler steps have no easy way to take different path depending on the image access: linking to the right implementation of image types, performing IR opts and backend codegen differently.
3. Image types are language keywords and can't be redeclared s6.1.9, which can happen currently as they are just typedef names.
4. Default access qualifier read_only is to be added if not provided explicitly.
II. This patch corrects the above points as follows:
1. All images are encapsulated into a separate .def file that is inserted in different points where image handling is required. This avoid a lot of code repetition as all images are handled the same way in the code with no distinction of their exact type.
2. The Cartesian product of image types and image access qualifiers is added to the builtin types. This simplifies a lot handling of access type mismatch as no operations are allowed by default on distinct Builtin types. Also spec intended access qualifier as special type qualifier that are combined with an image type to form a distinct type (see statement above - images can't be created w/o access qualifiers).
3. Improves testing of images in Clang.

Finally, the patch adds a new templated function to ASTNodeImporter that imports

Support the constexpr specifier on lambda expressions - and support its inference from the lambda call operator's body.
i.e.
auto L = [] () constexpr { return 5; };
static_assert(L() == 5); // OK
auto Implicit = [] (auto a) { return a; };
static_assert(Implicit(5) == 5);
We do not support evaluation of lambda's within constant expressions just yet.
Implementation Strategy:
- teach ParseLambdaExpressionAfterIntroducer to expect a constexpr specifier and mark the invented function call operator's declarator's decl-specifier with it; Have it emit fixits for multiple decl-specifiers (mutable or constexpr) in this location.
- for cases where constexpr is not explicitly specified, have buildLambdaExpr check whether the invented function call operator satisfies the requirements of a constexpr function, by calling CheckConstexprFunctionDecl/Body.
Much obliged to Richard Smith for his patience and his care, in ensuring the code is clang-worthy.

Implement lambda capture of *this by copy.
For e.g.:
struct A {
int d = 10;
auto foo() { return [*this] (auto a) mutable { d+=a; return d; }; }
};
auto L = A{}.foo(); // A{}'s lifetime is gone.
// Below is still ok, because *this was captured by value.
assert(L(10) == 20);
assert(L(100) == 120);
If the capture was implicit, or [this] (i.e. *this was captured by reference), this code would be otherwise undefined.
Implementation Strategy:
- amend the parser to accept *this in the lambda introducer
- add a new king of capture LCK_StarThis
- teach Sema::CheckCXXThisCapture to handle by copy captures of the
enclosing object (i.e. *this)
- when CheckCXXThisCapture does capture by copy, the corresponding
initializer expression for the closure's data member
direct-initializes it thus making a copy of '*this'.
- in codegen, when assigning to CXXThisValue, if *this was captured by
copy, make sure it points to the corresponding field member, and
not, unlike when captured by reference, what the field member points
to.
- mark feature as implemented in svn

clang -cc1 -ast-print put the struct
definition in the wrong place, like this:
struct {} typedef S;
The reason that this happens is that the printing code
first prints the struct definition, and then tells the next
declaration to leave out the type. This behavior
is correct for simple variable declarations, but fails for
typedefs (or extern, mutable, etc).
The patch address this problem by skipping the struct
declaration when we first see it, and then telling the first
subsequent declaration that it needs to print out the full
struct definition.

This is a follow-up to r261512, which made the 'strict' availability
attribute flag behave like 'unavailable'. However, that fix was
insufficient. The following case would (erroneously) error when the
deployment target was older than 10.9:
struct __attribute__((availability(macosx,strict,introduced=10.9))) A;
__attribute__((availability(macosx,strict,introduced=10.9))) void f(A*);
The use of A* in the argument list for f is valid here, since f and A
have the same availability.
The fix is to return AR_Unavailable from DeclBase::getAvailability

added in r261163, instead relying on the well-tested logic for

Really long symbols are hashed using MD5 and prefixed/suffixed with the
usual sigils. There is an additional reason beyond the usual
compatibility with MSVC, it is important to keep COFF symbols shorter
than 0xFFFF because the CodeView debugging format has a maximum
symbol/record size of 0xFFFF.
There are some quirks worth noting:
- Some mangled names reference other entities which are mangled
separately. A quick example:
int I;
template <int *> struct S {};
S<I> s;
In this case, the mangling for 's' doesn't depend directly on the
mangling for 'I'. While 's' would need an MD5 hash if 'I' also needed
one, the hash for 's' applied to the fully realized mangled name. In
other words, the mangled name for 's' will not depend on the MD5 of the
mangled name for 'I'.
- Some mangled names, like the venerable CatchableType, embed the MD5
verbatim.
- Finally, the complete object locator is handled as a special case.
A complete object locators are mangled exactly like a VFTable except for
a small deviation in the prefix sigils. However, complete object
locators for hashed vftables result in a complete object locator whose
name is identical to the vftable except for an additional suffix.

Add parsing, sema analysis and serialization/deserialization for 'declare reduction' construct.
User-defined reductions are defined as
#pragma omp declare reduction( reduction-identifier : typename-list : combiner ) [initializer ( initializer-expr )]
These custom reductions may be used in 'reduction' clauses of OpenMP constructs. The combiner specifies how partial results can be combined into a single value. The
combiner can use the special variable identifiers omp_in and omp_out that are of the type of the variables being reduced with this reduction-identifier. Each of them will
denote one of the values to be combined before executing the combiner. It is assumed that the special omp_out identifier will refer to the storage that holds the resulting
combined value after executing the combiner.
As the initializer-expr value of a user-defined reduction is not known a priori the initializer-clause can be used to specify one. Then the contents of the initializer-clause
will be used as the initializer for private copies of reduction list items where the omp_priv identifier will refer to the storage to be initialized. The special identifier
omp_orig can also appear in the initializer-clause and it will refer to the storage of the original variable to be reduced.

According to the Itanium ABI, vendor extended qualifiers are
supposed to be mangled in reverse-alphabetical order before

plausibly order-significant (they are associated with the
function type), which permits us to ignore the need to correctly
inter-order them with any other vendor qualifiers on the parameter

Implementing these rules correctly is technically an ABI break.
Apple is comfortable with the risk of incompatibility here for

Original message:
Make CF constant string decl visible to name lookup to fix module errors
The return type of the __builtin___*StringMakeConstantString functions
is a pointer to a struct, so we need that struct to be visible to name
lookup so that we will correctly merge multiple declarations of that
type if they come from different modules.
Incidentally, to make this visible to name lookup we need to rename the
type to __NSConstantString, since the real NSConstantString is an
Objective-C interface type. This shouldn't affect anyone outside the
compiler since users of the constant string builtins cast the result
immediately to CFStringRef.
Since this struct type is otherwise implicitly created by the AST
context and cannot access namelookup, we make this a predefined type
and initialize it in Sema.
Note: this issue of builtins that refer to types not visible to name
lookup technically also affects other builtins (e.g. objc_msgSendSuper),
but in all other cases the builtin is a library builtin and the issue
goes away if you include the library that defines the types it uses,
unlike for these constant string builtins.

We would also benefit from some test coverage of this (OpenCL +

For ObjCXX, we can create a CastExpr with Kind being CK_UserDefinedConversion
and SubExpr being BlockExpr. Specifically one can return BlockExpr from
BuildCXXMemberCallExpr and the result can be used to build a CastExpr.
Fix the assumption in CastExpr::getSubExprAsWritten that SubExpr can only
be CXXMemberCallExpr.

PropertyMap used to map IdentifierInfo (name of the property) to
ObjcPropertyDecl *. Now that a class property can have the same name as

iterating over all properties.

Add "enum ObjCPropertyQueryKind" to a few APIs that used to only take the name
of the property: ObjCPropertyDecl::findPropertyDecl,
ObjCContainerDecl::FindPropertyDeclaration,
ObjCInterfaceDecl::FindPropertyVisibleInPrimaryClass,
ObjCImplDecl::FindPropertyImplDecl, and Sema::ActOnPropertyImplDecl.
ObjCPropertyQueryKind currently has 3 values:
OBJC_PR_query_unknown, OBJC_PR_query_instance, OBJC_PR_query_class
This extra parameter specifies that we are looking for an instance property with
the given name, or a class property with the given name, or any property with
the given name (if both exist, the instance property will be returned).

__GetExceptionInfo triggered Sema::LazilyCreateBuiltin which tries to
create a non-templated function decl. This is unnecessary and
ill-advised, there is no need for us to create a declaration for such a
builtin.
This fixes PR26298.

Tag and specifier printing can be suppressed in Decl::printGroup, but these suppressions leak into the initializers. Thus
int *x = ((void *)0), *y = ((void *)0);
gets printed as
int *x = ((void *)0), *y = ((*)0);
And
struct { struct Z z; } z = {(struct Z){}};
gets printed as
struct { struct Z z; } z = {(){}};
The stops the suppressions from leaking into the initializers.

Support for the following OpenMP 4.5 restriction on 'target enter data' and 'target exit data':
- A map-type must be specified in all map clauses.
I have to save 'IsMapTypeImplicit' when parsing a map clause to support this constraint and for more informative error messages. This helps me support the following case:
#pragma omp target enter data map(r) // expected-error {{map type must be specified for '#pragma omp target enter data'}}
and distinguish it from:
#pragma omp target enter data map(tofrom: r) // expected-error {{map type 'tofrom' is not allowed for '#pragma omp target enter data'}}

We might get into bad situations where we try to embed the signature of
an inner lambda into an outer lambda which cannot work: the inner lambda
wants to embed the name of the outer lambda!
Instead, omit the return type for lambdas.
This fixes PR26105.
N.B. While we are here, make lambdas nested within functions use an
artificial scope so that they can get demangled.

1) Print qualifiers for templates with zero arguments
2) Add a few more tests for the template type diffing refactoring.
Specifically, PR24587 has been fixed and has a test case from
http://reviews.llvm.org/D15384
3) Adds asserts to check the DiffTree is in correct state when moving nodes
4) Rename the field FromType and ToType since it is heavily used within
member functions.
llvm-svn: 257870
Remove an old assertion that does not hold. It is possible for a template
argument to be a declaration in one instantiation and an integer in another.
Create two new diff kinds for these (decl vs int and int vs decl).
llvm-svn: 257869
Save the integer type when diffing integers in template type diffing. When
integers are different sizes, print out the type along with the integer value.
Also with the type information, print true and false instead of 1 and 0 for
boolean values.
llvm-svn: 257861
If available, use the canonical template argument to fill in information for
template type diffing instead of attempting to special case and evaluate Expr's
for the value. Since those are the values used in template instantiation,
we don't have to worry about difference between our evaluator and theirs. Also
move the nullptr template arguments from DiffKind::Expression to
DiffKind::Declaration and allow DiffKind::Declaration to set an Expr. The only
effect that should result is that a named nullptr will show up as
'ptr aka nullptr' in diagnostics.

Value, type, and instantiation dependence were not being handled
correctly for CUDAKernelCallExpr AST nodes. As a result, if an
undeclared identifier was used in the triple-angle-bracket kernel call
configuration, there would be no error during parsing, and there would
be a crash during code gen. This patch makes sure that an error will be
issued during parsing in this case, just as there would be for any other
use of an undeclared identifier in C++.

Modify the TSTiterator to have two internal iterators, which will walk
the provided sugared type and the desugared type. This will provide better
access to the template argument information. No functional changes.
llvm-svn: 257838
1) Instead of using pairs of From/To* fields, combine fields into a struct
TemplateArgInfo and have two in each DiffNode.
2) Use default initialization in DiffNode so that the constructor shows the
only field that is initialized differently on construction.
3) Use Set and Get functions per each DiffKind to make sure all fields for the
diff is set. In one case, the Expr fields were not set.
4) Don't print boolean literals for boolean template arguments. This prevents
printing 'false aka 0'
Only #3 has a functional change, which is reflected in the test change.
llvm-svn: 257831
In {CG,}ExprConstant.cpp, we weren't treating vector splats properly.
This patch makes us treat splats more properly.
Additionally, this patch adds a new cast kind which allows a bool->int
cast to result in -1 or 0, instead of 1 or 0 (for true and false,
respectively), so we can sanely model OpenCL bool->int casts in the AST.

By storing the instantiated expression back in the ParmVarDecl,
we remove the last need for separately storing the sub-expression
of a CXXDefaultArgExpr. This makes PCH/Modules merging quite
simple: CXXDefaultArgExpr records are serialized as references
to the ParmVarDecl, and we ignore redundant attempts to overwrite
the instantiated expression.
This has some extremely marginal impact on user-facing semantics.
However, the major effect is that it avoids IRGen errors about
conflicting definitions due to lambdas in the argument being
instantiated multiple times while sharing the same mangling.
It should also slightly improve memory usage and module file size.
