If you remember the mail [1] I sent out about how I envision the future of the
already existing checkers to look dependencywise, one my main points was that no
checker that emits diagnostics should be a dependency. This is more problematic
for some checkers (ahem, RetainCount [2]) more than for others, like this one.
The MallocChecker family is a mostly big monolithic modeling class some small
reporting checkers that only come to action when we are constructing a warning
message, after the actual bug was detected. The implication of this is that
NewDeleteChecker doesn't really do anything to depend on, so this change was
relatively simple.
The only thing that complicates this change is that FreeMemAux (MallocCheckers
method that models general memory deallocation) returns after calling a bug
reporting method, regardless whether the report was ever emitted (which may not
always happen, for instance, if the checker responsible for the report isn't
enabled). This return unfortunately happens before cleaning up the maps in the
GDM keeping track of the state of symbols (whether they are released, whether
that release was successful, etc). What this means is that upon disabling some
checkers, we would never clean up the map and that could've lead to false
positives, e.g.:

There two possible approaches I had in mind:
Make bug reporting methods of MallocChecker returns whether they succeeded, and
proceed with the rest of FreeMemAux if not,
Halt execution with a sink node upon failure. I decided to go with this, as
described in the code.
As you can see from the removed/changed test files, before the big checker
dependency effort landed, there were tests to check for all the weird
configurations of enabled/disabled checkers and their messy interactions, I
largely repurposed these.

Similarly to other patches of mine, I'm trying to uniformize the checker
interface so that dependency checkers don't emit diagnostics. The checker that
made me most anxious so far was definitely RetainCount, because it is definitely
impacted by backward compatibility concerns, and implements a checker hierarchy
that is a lot different to other examples of similar size. Also, I don't have
authority, nor expertise regarding ObjC related code, so I welcome any
objection/discussion!

The os_log helper functions are linkonce_odr and supposed to be
uniqued across TUs, so attachine a DW_AT_decl_line on it is highly
misleading. By setting the function decl to implicit, CGDebugInfo
properly marks the functions as artificial and uses a default file /
line 0 location for the function.

We currently diagnose static data members directly contained in unnamed classes,
but we should also diagnose when they're in a class that is nested (directly or
indirectly) in an unnamed class. Do this by iterating up the list of parent
DeclContexts and checking if any is an unnamed class.
Similarly also check for function or method DeclContexts (which includes things
like blocks and openmp captured statements) as then the class is considered to
be a local class, which means static data members aren't allowed.

It presents 2 issues that have bugged me for years now:
* OSObject is NOT a boolean option. It in fact has 3 states:
* osx.OSObjectRetainCount is enabled but OSObject it set to false: RetainCount
regards the option as disabled.
* sx.OSObjectRetainCount is enabled and OSObject it set to true: RetainCount
regards the option as enabled.
* osx.OSObjectRetainCount is disabled: RetainCount regards the option as
disabled.
* The hack involves directly modifying AnalyzerOptions::ConfigTable, which
shouldn't even be public in the first place.
This still isn't really ideal, because it would be better to preserve the option
and remove the checker (we want visible checkers to be associated with
diagnostics, and hidden options like this one to be associated with changing how
the modeling is done), but backwards compatibility is an issue.

During CodeGen for AArch64 Neon intrinsics, Clang was incorrectly
assuming all the pointers from which loads were being generated for vld1
intrinsics were aligned according to the intrinsics result type, causing
alignment faults on the code generated by the backend.
This patch updates vld1 intrinsics' CodeGen to properly capture the
correct load alignment based on the type of the pointer provided as
input for the intrinsic.

-fno-semantic-interposition is currently the CC1 default. (The opposite
disables some interprocedural optimizations.) However, it does not infer
dso_local: on most targets accesses to ExternalLinkage functions/variables
defined in the current module still need PLT/GOT.
This patch makes explicit -fno-semantic-interposition infer dso_local,
so that PLT/GOT can be eliminated if targets implement local aliases
for AsmPrinter::getSymbolPreferLocal (currently only x86).
Currently we check whether the module flag "SemanticInterposition" is 0.
If yes, infer dso_local. In the future, we can infer dso_local unless
"SemanticInterposition" is 1: frontends other than clang will also
benefit from the optimization if they don't bother setting the flag.
(There will be risks if they do want ELF interposition: they need to set
"SemanticInterposition" to 1.)

Previous implementation was incorrectly passing an uint64_t, that got converted
to an uint8_t, to finalize the hash computation. This led to different functions
having the same hash if they only differ by the remaining statements, which is
incorrect.
Added a new test case that trivially tests that a small function change is
reflected in the hash value.
Not that as this patch fixes the hash computation, it invalidates all hashes
computed before that patch applies, which could be an issue for large build
system that pre-compute the profile data and let client download them as part of
the build process.

When loop counter is a function parameter "isPossiblyEscaped" will not find
the variable declaration which lead to hitting "llvm_unreachable".
Parameters of reference type should be escaped like global variables;

When a program that contains a loop to which both `omp parallel for`
pragma and `clang loop` pragma are associated is compiled with the
-fopenmp option, `clang loop` pragma did not take effect. The example
below should not be vectorized by the `clang loop` pragma but it was
actually vectorized. The cause is that `llvm.loop.vectorize.width`
was not output to the IR when -fopenmp is specified.
The fix attaches attributes if they exist for the loop.

iAs listed in the summary D77846, we have 5 different categories of bugs we're
checking for in CallAndMessage. I think the documentation placed in the code
explains my thought process behind my decisions quite well.
A non-obvious change I had here is removing the entry for
CallAndMessageUnInitRefArg. In fact, I removed the CheckerNameRef typed field
back in D77845 (it was dead code), so that checker didn't really exist in any
meaningful way anyways.

NoDebug attr does not totally eliminate debug info about a function when

The title and the included test file sums everything up -- the only thing I'm

D35259 introduced a case where complex types of non-long-double would
result in FI.getReturnInfo() to not be initialized properly. This
resulted in a crash under some very specific circumstances when
dereferencing the LLVMContext.
This patch makes sure that these types have the intended getReturnInfo
initialization.
It was enabled by default accidentally; still missing some important
features. Also it needs a better package because it doesn't boil down to
API modeling.

When I fixed the targets specific builtins to make sure that aux-targets
are checked, it seems I didn't consider cases where the builtins check
the target info for further info. This patch bubbles the target-info
down to the individual checker functions to ensure that they validate
against the aux-target as well.

I think anyone who added a checker config wondered why is there a need
to test this. Its just a chore when adding a new config, so I removed
it.
To give some historic insight though, we used to not list **all**
options, but only those explicitly added to AnalyzerOptions, such as the
ones specified on the command line. However, past this change (and
arguably even before that) this line makes little sense.
There is an argument to be made against the entirety of
analyzer-config.c test file, but since this commit fixes some builtbots
and is landing without review, I wouldn't like to be too invasive.

The very essence of MallocChecker lies in 2 overload sets: the FreeMemAux
functions and the MallocMemAux functions. The former houses most of the error
checking as well (aside from leaks), such as incorrect deallocation. There, we
check whether the argument's MemSpaceRegion is the heap or unknown, and if it
isn't, we know we encountered a bug (aside from a corner case patched by
@balazske in D76830), as specified by MEM34-C.
In ReallocMemAux, which really is the combination of FreeMemAux and
MallocMemAux, we incorrectly early returned if the memory argument of realloc is
non-symbolic. The problem is, one of the cases where this happens when we know
precisely what the region is, like an array, as demonstrated in the test file.
So, lets get rid of this false negative :^)
Side note, I dislike the warning message and the associated checker name, but
I'll address it in a later patch.

- This treats `throw()` in the same way as `noexcept`.
- This ignores and prints a warning for `throw(type, ..)`, for a
temporary measure. This warning is controlled by

warning by using `-Wno-wasm-exception-spec`.

Summary:
Variable-length array (VLA) should have a size that fits into
a size_t value. According to the standard: "std::size_t can
store the maximum size of a theoretically possible object of
any type (including array)" (this is applied to C too).
The size expression is evaluated at the definition of the
VLA type even if this is a typedef.
The evaluation of the size expression in itself might cause
problems if it overflows.

rL82131 changed -O from -O1 to -O2, because -O1 was not different from
-O2 at that time.
GCC treats -O as -O1 and there is now work to make -O1 meaningful.

One of the pain points in simplifying MallocCheckers interface by gradually
changing to CallEvent is that a variety of C++ allocation and deallocation
functionalities are modeled through preStmt<...> where CallEvent is unavailable,
and a single one of these callbacks can prevent a mass parameter change.
This patch introduces a new CallEvent, CXXDeallocatorCall, which happens after
preStmt<CXXDeleteExpr>, and can completely replace that callback as
demonstrated.

On the one hand, one might interpret the use of the max-token pragmas or
-fmax-tokens flag as an opt-in to the warning. However, in Chromium
we've found it useful to only opt in selected build configurations, even
though we have the pragmas in the code. For that reason, we think it
makes sense to turn it off by default.

This patch fixed the error of counting the remaining FPRs. Complex floating-point
values should be passed by two FPRs for the hard-float ABI. If no two FPRs are
available, it should be passed via a 64-bit GPR (fp+fp). `ArgFPRsLeft` is only
decreased one while the type is complex floating-point. It causes two floating-point
values in the complex are passed separately by two GPRs.

The `arm_cmse.h` header includes standard headers, but some tests that
include this header explicitly specify a target. The standard headers
found via the standard include paths need not be compatible with the
explicitly-specified target from the tests. In order to avoid test

Such a builtin function is mostly useful to preserve btf type id
for non-global data. For example,

The function "foo" in the above only see raw data and does not

This patch implemented a BPF specific builtin
u32 btf_type_id = __builtin_btf_type_id(param, flag)
which will return a btf type id for the "param".
flag == 0 will indicate a BTF local relocation,
which means btf type_id only adjusted when bpf program BTF changes.
flag == 1 will indicate a BTF remote relocation,
which means btf type_id is adjusted against linux kernel or
future other entities.

Commit 73152a2ec2 fixed type checking for
blocks with qualified id parameters. But there are existing APIs in
Apple SDKs relying on the old type checking behavior. Specifically,
these are APIs using NSItemProviderCompletionHandler in
Foundation/NSItemProvider.h. To keep existing code working and to allow
developers to use affected APIs introduce a compatibility mode that
enables the previous and the fixed type checking. This mode is enabled
only on Darwin platforms.

Fixes PR42445 (compiler driver options -Os -Oz translate to

-nogpulib makes sense when there is a host (where -nostdlib would
apply) and offload target. Accept nostdlib when there is no offload
target as an alias.
My test needs a requires target clause to support inline assembly. This
patch splits out the asm tests into a separate test so we don't skip the
rest of the conditions.
The backends don't seem to properly handle the _ExtInt type in inline
assembly with crashes occurring in many. While the ones I tested seem to
work for powers of 2 < 64 (and some any multiple of 64 greater than
that), it seemed like a better idea to just use of this type in inline
assembly prohibited.
Summary:
If a given parameter in a FunctionDecl has a nonull attribute then the NonNull
constraint in StdCLibraryFunctionsChecker has the same effect as
NonNullParamChecker. I think it is better to emit diagnostics from the simpler
checker. By making NonNullParamChecker as a dependency, in these cases it will
be the first to emit a diagnostic and to stop the analysis on that path.

The stub function is generated by compiler and its instructions have nothing
to do with the kernel source code.
Currently clang generates debug info for the stub function, which causes
confusion for the HIP debugger. For example, when users set break point
on a line of a kernel, the debugger should break on that line when the kernel is
executed and reaches that line, but instead the debugger breaks in the stub function.
This patch disables debug info for stub function for HIP.

An earlier change eliminated spaces between the close brackets of nested
template lists. Unfortunately that prevents the Windows debuggers from
matching some types to their corresponding visualizers (e.g., std::map).
This selects the SeparateTemplateClosers flag when generating CodeView.
Note that we were already making formatting adjustments under similar
circumstances for similar reasons.
This wasn't caught by existing tests because they were using only
-std=c++98.

Summary:
Analyses that are statefull should not be retrieved through a proxy from
an outer IR unit, as these analyses are only invalidated at the end of
the inner IR unit manager.
This patch disallows getting the outer manager and provides an API to
get a cached analysis through the proxy. If the analysis is not
stateless, the call to getCachedResult will assert.

In D49466, sys::path::replace_path_prefix was used instead startswith for -f[macro/debug/file]-prefix-map options.
However those were reverted later (commit rG3bb24bf25767ef5bbcef958b484e7a06d8689204) due to broken Windows tests.
This patch restores those replace_path_prefix calls.
It also modifies the prefix matching to be case-insensitive under Windows.

Sometimes you want to disable a FileCheck directive without removing
it entirely, or you want to write comments that mention a directive by
name. The `COM:` directive makes it easy to do this. For example,
you might have:

because they look like directive typos:

We create overloaded `&&` and `||` operators to hold the possible
unqualified lookup results (if any) when the operands are dependent. We
could avoid building these in some cases (we will never use the stored
lookup results, and it would be better to not store them or perform the
lookups), but in the general case we will probably still need to handle
overloaded operators even with that optimization.

As proposed in https://github.com/WebAssembly/simd/pull/122. Since
these instructions are not yet merged to the SIMD spec proposal, this
patch makes them entirely opt-in by surfacing them only through LLVM
intrinsics and clang builtins. If these instructions are made

We should check non-dependent element types before creating a
DependentSizedMatrixType. Otherwise we do not generate an error message
for dependent-sized matrix types with invalid non-dependent element
types, if the template is never instantiated. See the make5 struct in
the tests.
It also moves the SEMA template tests to
clang/test/SemaTemplate/matrix-type.cpp and introduces a few more test
cases.
Merge with the new --rocm-path handling used for OpenCL. This looks
for a usable set of device libraries upfront, rather than giving a
generic "no such file or directory error". If any of the required
bitcode libraries are missing, this will now produce a "cannot find
ROCm installation." error. This differs from the existing hip specific
flags by pointing to a rocm root install instead of a single directory
with bitcode files.
This tries to maintain compatibility with the existing the
--hip-device-lib and --hip-device-lib-path flags, as well as the
HIP_DEVICE_LIB_PATH environment variable, or at least the range of
uses with testcases. The existing range of uses and behavior doesn't
entirely make sense to me, so some of the untested edge cases change
behavior. Currently the two path forms seem to have the double purpose
of a search path for an arbitrary --hip-device-lib, and for finding
the stock set of libraries. Since the stock set of libraries This also
changes the behavior when multiple paths are specified, and only takes
the last one (and the environment variable only handles a single
path).
If --hip-device-lib is used, it now only treats --hip-device-lib-path
as the search path for it, and does not attempt to find the rocm
installation. If not, --hip-device-lib-path and the environment
variable are used as the directory to search instead of the rocm root
based path.
This should also automatically fix handling of the options to use
wave64.

For now, it seems the most feasible workaround is to treat implicit host device function and explicit host
device function differently. Basically in device compilation for implicit host device functions, keep the
old behavior, i.e. give host device candidates and wrong-sided candidates equal preference. For explicit
host device functions, favor host device candidates against wrong-sided candidates.
The rationale is that explicit host device functions are blessed by the user to be valid host device functions,
that is, they should not cause diagnostics in both host and device compilation. If diagnostics occur, user is
able to fix them. However, there is no guarantee that implicit host device function can be compiled in
device compilation, therefore we need to preserve its overloading resolution in device compilation.

Adds a new data structure, ImmutableGraph, and uses RDF to find LVI gadgets and add them to a MachineGadgetGraph.
More specifically, a new X86 machine pass finds Load Value Injection (LVI) gadgets consisting of a load from memory (i.e., SOURCE), and any operation that may transmit the value loaded from memory over a covert channel, or use the value loaded from memory to determine a branch/call target (i.e., SINK).

This patch adds a matrix type to Clang as described in the draft
specification in clang/docs/MatrixSupport.rst. It introduces a new option
-fenable-matrix, which can be used to enable the matrix support.
The patch adds new MatrixType and DependentSizedMatrixType types along
with the plumbing required. Loads of and stores to pointers to matrix
values are lowered to memory operations on 1-D IR arrays. After loading,
the loaded values are cast to a vector. This ensures matrix values use
the alignment of the element type, instead of LLVM's large vector
alignment.
The operators and builtins described in the draft spec will will be added in
follow-up patches.

Summary:
Although using `__builtin_shufflevector` and the `shufflevector`
instruction works fine, they are not opaque to the optimizer. As a
result, DAGCombine can potentially reduce the number of shuffles and
change the shuffle masks. This is unexpected behavior for users of the
WebAssembly SIMD intrinsics who have crafted their shuffles to
optimize the code generated by engines. This patch solves the problem
by adding a new shuffle intrinsic that is opaque to the optimizers in
line with the decision of the WebAssembly SIMD contributors at
https://github.com/WebAssembly/simd/issues/196#issuecomment-622494748. In
the future we may implement custom DAG combines to properly optimize
shuffles and replace this solution.

RecoveryExprs are modeled as dependent type to prevent bogus diagnostics
and crashes in clang.
This patch allows to preseve the type for broken calls when the
RecoveryEprs have a known type, e.g. a broken non-overloaded call, a
overloaded call when the all candidates have the same return type, so
that more features (code completion still work on "take2args(x).^") still
work.
However, adding the type is risky, which may result in more clang code being
affected leading to new crashes and hurt diagnostic, and it requires large
effort to minimize the affect (update all sites in clang to handle errorDepend
case), so we add a new flag (off by default) to allow us to develop/test
them incrementally.
This patch also has some trivial fixes to suppress diagnostics (to prevent regressions).
Tested:
all existing tests are passed (when both "-frecovery-ast", "-frecovery-ast-type" flags are flipped on);

Defaulting to -Xclang -coverage-version='407*' makes .gcno/.gcda
compatible with gcov [4.7,8)
In addition, delete clang::CodeGenOptionsBase::CoverageExtraChecksum and GCOVOptions::UseCfgChecksum.
We can infer the information from the version.
With this change, .gcda files produced by `clang --coverage a.o` linked executable can be read by gcov 4.7~7.
We don't need other -Xclang -coverage* options.
There may be a mismatching version warning, though.
(Note, GCC r173147 "split checksum into cfg checksum and line checksum"
made gcov 4.7 incompatible with previous versions.)
Objective-C++11 and under MS extensions.
This matches the MSVC behavior, and means that Objective-C behaves as a
set of extensions to the base language, rather than replacing the base
language rule with a different one.
The 'class' or 'struct' keyword is only permitted as part of either an
enum definition or a standalone opaque-enum-declaration, not as part of
an elaborated type specifier. We previously failed to diagnose this, and
generally didn't properly implement the restrictions on elaborated type
specifiers for enumeration types.
In passing, also fixed incorrect parsing for enum-bases, which we
previously parsed as a type-name, but are actually a type-specifier-seq.
This matters for cases like 'enum E : int *p;', which is valid as a
Microsoft extension.
Plus some minor parse diagnostic improvements.
Bumped the recently-added ExtWarn for 'enum E : int x;' to be
DefaultError; this is not an intentional extension, so producing an
error by default seems appropriate, but the warning flag to disable it
may still be useful for code written against old Clang. The same
treatment is given here to the diagnostic for 'enum class E x;', which
we similarly have incorrectly accepted for many years. These diagnostics
continue to be suppressed under -fms-extensions and when compiling
Objective-C code. We will need to decide separately whether Objective-C
should follow the C++ rules or the (older) MSVC rules.
rL144865 incorrectly wrote function names for GCOV_TAG_FUNCTION
(this might be part of the reasons the header says
"We emit files in a corrupt version of GCOV's "gcda" file format").
rL176173 and rL177475 realized the problem and introduced -coverage-no-function-names-in-data
to work around the issue. (However, the description is wrong.
libgcov never writes function names, even before GCC 4.2).
In reality, the linker command line has to look like:
clang --coverage -Xclang -coverage-version='407*' -Xclang -coverage-cfg-checksum -Xclang -coverage-no-function-names-in-data
Failing to pass -coverage-no-function-names-in-data can make gcov 4.7~7
either produce wrong results (for one gcov-4.9 program, I see "No executable lines")
or segfault (gcov-7).
(gcov-8 uses an incompatible format.)
This patch deletes -coverage-no-function-names-in-data and the related
function names support from libclang_rt.profile

The test tried to do the right thing by only using -mem2reg with opt,
but it was using -O3 before that step, so the opt part was meaningless.

Previously we implemented non-standard disambiguation rules to
distinguish an enum-base from a bit-field but otherwise treated a :
after an elaborated-enum-specifier as introducing an enum-base. That
misparses various examples (anywhere an elaborated-type-specifier can
appear followed by a colon, such as within a ternary operator or
_Generic).
We now implement the C++11 rules, with the old cases accepted as
extensions where that seemed reasonable. These amount to:
* an enum-base must always be accompanied by an enum definition (except
in a standalone declaration of the form 'enum E : T;')
* in a member-declaration, 'enum E :' always introduces an enum-base,
never a bit-field
* in a type-specifier (or similar context), 'enum E :' is not
permitted; the colon means whatever else it would mean in that
context.
Fixed underlying types for enums are also permitted in Objective-C and
under MS extensions, plus as a language extension in all other modes.
The behavior in ObjC and MS extensions modes is unchanged (but the
bit-field disambiguation is a bit better); remaining language modes
follow the C++11 rules.
Fixes PR45726, PR39979, PR19810, PR44941, and most of PR24297, plus C++
core issues 1514 and 1966.
Summary:
Since the underlying wait and notify instructions are only available
when the atomics feature is enabled, it only makes sense to expose

`AsmPrinter::emitGlobalIndirectSymbol` is dependent on
`MCStreamer::emitAssignment` to produce `.set` directives for alias
symbols; however, the `.set` pseudo-op on AIX is documented as not

D52774 fixed a bug with typo correction of includes, but didn't add
a test.
D65907 then broke recovery of typo correction of includes again,
because it extracted the code that writes to Filename to a separate
function that took the parameter not by reference.

This is a standalone patch and this would help Propeller do a better job of code
layout as it can accurately attribute the profiles to the right internal linkage
function.
This also helps SampledFDO/AutoFDO correctly associate sampled profiles to the
right internal function. Currently, if there is more than one internal symbol
foo, their profiles are aggregated by SampledFDO.
This patch adds a new clang option, -funique-internal-funcnames, to generate
unique names for functions with internal linkage. This patch appends the md5
hash of the module name to the function symbol as a best effort to generate a
unique name for symbols with internal linkage.

I discovered that when using an aux-target builtin, it was recognized as
a builtin but never checked. This patch checks for an aux-target builtin
and instead validates it against the correct target.
It does this by extracting the checking code for Target-specific
builtins into its own function, then calls with either targetInfo or
AuxTargetInfo.

current disk drive in lower case into a form in lit where I could
mkdir it and cd to it. But the change does have test coverage in
that I can remove the case normalization in lit, and tests failed
on several bots (and for me locally if in a pwd with a lower-case
drive) without that normalization prior to this change.

Summary:
Conflicting types for the same section name defined in clang section
pragmas and GNU-style section attributes were not properly captured by
Clang's Sema. The lack of diagnostics was caused by the fact the section
specification coming from attributes was handled by Sema as implicit,
even though explicitly defined by the user.
This patch enables the diagnostics for section type conflicts between
those specifications by making sure sections defined in section
attributes are correctly handled as explicit.

This is the result of an audit of all of the ABIs in clang to implement
and enable the type for those targets.
Additionally, this finds an issue with integer-promotion passing for a
few platforms when using _ExtInt of < int, so this also corrects that

The built-in SVE types are supposed to be treated as opaque types.
This means that for initialisation purposes they should be treated
as a single unit, much like a scalar type.
However, as Eli pointed out, actually using "scalar" in the diagnostics
is likely to cause confusion, given the types are logically vectors.
The patch therefore uses custom diagnostics or generalises existing
ones. Some of the messages use the word "indivisible" to try to make
it clear(er) that these types can't be initialised elementwise.
I don't think it's possible to trigger warn_braces_around_(scalar_)init
for sizeless types as things stand, since the types can't be used as
members or elements of more complex types. But it seemed better to be
consistent with ext_many_braces_around_(scalar_)init, so the patch
changes it anyway.

1. each VarDecl is built separately during the parsing stage.
2. perform the semantic analysis (Sema::BuildDeclaratorGroup) to check
whether the type of the two VarDecl is the same, if not mark it as invalid.
in step 1, VarDecl c and d are built, both of them are valid (after D77395),
but d is without the InitExpr attached (under -fno-recovery-ast), crash
happens in step 2 when accessing the source range of d's InitExpr.

Currently, normalize() for posix replaces backslashes to slashes, except
that two backslashes in sequence are kept as-is.
clang calls normalize() to convert \ to / is microsoft compat mode. This
generally works well, but a path like "c:\\foo\\bar.h" with two
backslashes doesn't work due to the exception in normalize().
These paths happen naturally on Windows hosts with e.g.
`#include __FILE__`, and them not working on other hosts makes it
more difficult to write tests for this case.
The special case has been around without justification since this code
was added in r203611 (since then moved around in r215241 r215243). No
integration tests fail if I remove it.
Try removing the special case.

This change fixes an aarch64-specific bug in the generation of the NDS and WDS values used to compute the signature of the vector functions out of OpenMP directives like `declare simd`. When the directive is used in conjunction with the `linear` clause, the size of the pointee must be used instead of the size of the pointer to compute NDS and WDS.
The code-fix is strictly related to the behavior for `linear`, but given that the only way we have to test the NDS and WDS values is to check the resulting `<vlen>` token in the mangled name of the vector function, the tests have been extended to cover all the possible values of WDS and NDS as defined in the ABI at https://github.com/ARM-software/abi-aa/tree/master/vfabia64.

union ctor does not call ctors of its data members. union dtor does not call dtors of its data members.
Also union does not have base class.
Currently when clang checks whether union has an empty ctor/dtor, it checks the ctors/dtors of its
data members. This causes incorrectly diagnose device side global variables and shared variables as
having non-empty ctors/dtors.
This patch fixes that.

There are some lookup oddities with these as reported in PR45780, and
GCC doesn't support these behaviors at all. To be more consistent with
GCC and prevent the crashes caused by our lookup issues, nip the problem
in the bud and prohibit enums here.
* svdupq builtins that duplicate scalars to every quadword of a vector
are defined using builtins for svld1rq (load and replicate quadword).
* svdupq builtins that duplicate boolean values to fill a predicate vector
are defined using `svcmpne`.

The approach in D30000 assumes that the '/' returned by path::begin()
is the first element for absolute paths, but that's not true on
Windows.
Also, on Windows backslashes in include lines often end up escaped
so that there are two of them. Having backslashes in include lines
is undefined behavior in most cases and implementation-defined
behavior in C++20, but since clang treats it as normal repeated
path separators, the diagnostic should too.
Unbreaks -Wnonportable-include-path for absolute paths on Windows,
and unbreaks it on non-Windows in the case of absolute paths with
repeated directory separators.
This affects e.g. the `#include __FILE__` technique if the file
passed to clang has the wrong case for the drive letter. Before:

Summary:
Per Windows SEH Spec, except _leave, all other early exits of a _try (goto/return/continue/break) are considered abnormal exits. In those cases, the first parameter passes to its _finally funclet should be TRUE to indicate an abnormal-termination.
One way to implement abnormal exits in _try is to invoke Windows runtime _local_unwind() (MSVC approach) that will invoke _dtor funclet where abnormal-termination flag is always TRUE when calling _finally. Obviously this approach is less optimal and is complicated to implement in Clang.
Clang today has a NormalCleanupDestSlot mechanism to dispatch multiple exits at the end of _try. Since _leave (or try-end fall-through) is always Indexed with 0 in that NormalCleanupDestSlot, this fix takes the advantage of that mechanism and just passes NormalCleanupDest ID as 1st Arg to _finally.

I added a limit to make sure that _ExtInt isn't exposed on systems that
haven't considered it in their ABI. The ext-int.cpp Sema test didn't
have a triple, so on non x86/x86_64 it would fail with this new error.
This patch adds said triple to make sure this passes.
Since the _ExtInt type got into the repo, we've discovered that the ABI
implications weren't completely understood. The other architectures are
going to be audited (see D79118), however downstream targets aren't
going to benefit from this audit.
This patch disables the _ExtInt type by default and makes the
target-info an opt-in. As it is audited, I'll re-enable these for all
of our default targets.
I'm currently auditing all of the calling convention implications of
_ExtInt for all platforms, so splitting them up into their own test will
make this a much easier task to organize.
After speaking with Craig Topper about some recent defects, he pointed
out that _ExtInts should be passed indirectly if larger than the largest
int register, and like ints when smaller than that. This patch
implements that.
Note that this changed the way vaargs worked quite a bit, but they still
work.

Summary:
Objective-C Class objects can be used to do a dynamic dispatch on
class methods. The analyzer had a few places where we tried to overcome
the dynamic nature of it and still guess the actual function that
is being called. That was done mostly using some simple heuristics
covering the most widespread cases (e.g. [[self class] classmethod]).
This solution introduces a way to track types represented by Class
objects and work with that instead of direct AST matching.

Fix a few bugs where we would fail to properly determine header to
module correspondence when determining whether to suggest a #include or
import, and suggest a #include more often in language modes where there
is no import syntax. Generally, if the target is in a header with
include guards or #pragma once, we should suggest either #including or
importing that header, and not importing a module that happens to
textually include it.
In passing, improve the notes we attach to the corresponding
diagnostics: calling an entity that we couldn't see "previous" is
confusing.
Summary:
This is a small improvement for OpenCL diagnostics, but is also useful
for our CHERI fork, as our __capability qualifier is suppressed from
diagnostics when all pointers are capabilities, only being used when pointers
need to be explicitly opted-in to being capabilities.

Prior to this change, for a few compiler-rt libraries such as ubsan and
the profile library, Clang would embed "-defaultlib:path/to/rt-arch.lib"
into the .drective section of every object compiled with
-finstr-profile-generate or -fsanitize=ubsan as appropriate.
These paths assume that the link step will run from the same working
directory as the compile step. There is also evidence that sometimes the
paths become absolute, such as when clang is run from a different drive
letter from the current working directory. This is fragile, and I'd like
to get away from having paths embedded in the object if possible. Long
ago it was suggested that we use this for ASan, and apparently I felt
the same way back then:

This is also consistent with how all other autolinking usage works for
PS4, Mac, and Windows: they all use basenames, not paths.
To keep things working for people using the standard GCC driver
workflow, the driver now adds the resource directory to the linker
library search path when it calls the linker. This is enough to make
check-ubsan pass, and seems like a generally good thing.
Users that invoke the linker directly (most clang-cl users) will have to
add clang's resource library directory to their linker search path in
their build system. I'm not sure where I can document this. Ideally I'd
also do it in the MSBuild files, but I can't figure out where they go.
I'd like to start with this for now.

This is primarily motivated by the desire to move from Python2 to
Python3. `PYTHON_EXECUTABLE` is ambiguous. This explicitly identifies
the python interpreter in use. Since the LLVM build seems to be able to
completed successfully with python3, use that across the build. The old
path aliases `PYTHON_EXECUTABLE` to be treated as Python3.
When passing a value of a struct/union type from secure to non-secure
state (that is returning from a CMSE entry function or passing an
argument to CMSE-non-secure call), there is a potential sensitive
information leak via the padding bits in the structure. It is not
possible in the general case to ensure those bits are cleared by using
Standard C/C++.
This patch makes the compiler emit code to clear such padding
bits. Since type information is lost in LLVM IR, the code generation
is done by Clang.
For each interesting record type, we build a bitmask, in which all the
bits, corresponding to user declared members, are set. Values of
record types are returned by coercing them to an integer. After the
coercion, the coerced value is masked (with bitwise AND) and then
returned by the function. In a similar manner, values of record types
are passed as arguments by coercing them to an array of integers, and
the coerced values themselves are masked.
For union types, we effectively clear only bits, which aren't part of
any member, since we don't know which is the currently active one.
The compiler will issue a warning, whenever a union is passed to
non-secure state.
Values of half-precision floating-point types are passed in the least
significant bits of a 32-bit register (GPR or FPR) with the most
significant bits unspecified. Since this is also a potential leak of
sensitive information, this patch also clears those unspecified bits.
