Mehdi Amini 6610b01a27 [ASAN] Add the binder globals on Darwin to llvm.compiler.used to avoid LTO dead-stripping
The binder is in a specific section that "reverse" the edges in a
regular dead-stripping: the binder is live as long as a global it
references is live.

This is a big hammer that prevents LLVM from dead-stripping these,
while still allowing linker dead-stripping (with special knowledge
of the section).

Etienne Bergeron 0ca0568604 [asan] Support dynamic shadow address instrumentation
Summary:
This patch is adding the support for a shadow memory with
dynamically allocated address range.

The compiler-rt needs to export a symbol containing the shadow
memory range.

This is required to support ASAN on windows 64-bits.

Summary:
Adds an option -esan-assume-intra-cache-line which causes esan to assume

show that the performance difference can be 2x or more, and accuracy loss
is typically negligible, so we turn this on by default. This currently
applies just to the working set tool.

Xinliang David Li 7008ce3f98 [profile] value profiling bug fix -- missing icall targets in profile-use
Inline virtual functions has linkeonceodr linkage (emitted in comdat on
supporting targets). If the vtable for the class is not emitted in the
defining module, function won't be address taken thus its address is not
recorded. At the mercy of the linker, if the per-func prf_data from this
module (in comdat) is picked at link time, we will lose mapping from
function address to its hash val. This leads to missing icall promotion.
The second test case (currently disabled) in compiler_rt (r271528):
instrprof-icall-prom.test demostrates the bug. The first profile-use
subtest is fine due to linker order difference.

With this change, no missing icall targets is found in instrumented clang's
raw profile.

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith a59d3e5af8 DebugInfo: Remove MDString-based type references
Eliminate DITypeIdentifierMap and make DITypeRef a thin wrapper around
DIType*. It is no longer legal to refer to a DICompositeType by its
'identifier:', and DIBuilder no longer retains all types with an
'identifier:' automatically.

Aside from the bitcode upgrade, this is mainly removing logic to resolve
an MDString-based reference to an actualy DIType. The commits leading
up to this have made the implicit type map in DICompileUnit's
'retainedTypes:' field superfluous.

This does not remove DITypeRef, DIScopeRef, DINodeRef, and
DITypeRefArray, or stop using them in DI-related metadata. Although as
of this commit they aren't serving a useful purpose, there are patchces
under review to reuse them for CodeView support.

The tests in LLVM were updated with deref-typerefs.sh, which is attached

Adrian Prantl 75819aedf6 [PR27284] Reverse the ownership between DICompileUnit and DISubprogram.
Currently each Function points to a DISubprogram and DISubprogram has a
scope field. For member functions the scope is a DICompositeType. DIScopes
point to the DICompileUnit to facilitate type uniquing.

Distinct DISubprograms (with isDefinition: true) are not part of the type
hierarchy and cannot be uniqued. This change removes the subprograms
list from DICompileUnit and instead adds a pointer to the owning compile
unit to distinct DISubprograms. This would make it easy for ThinLTO to
strip unneeded DISubprograms and their transitively referenced debug info.

Motivation
----------

Materializing DISubprograms is currently the most expensive operation when
doing a ThinLTO build of clang.

We want the DISubprogram to be stored in a separate Bitcode block (or the
same block as the function body) so we can avoid having to expensively
deserialize all DISubprograms together with the global metadata. If a
function has been inlined into another subprogram we need to store a
reference the block containing the inlined subprogram.

Attached to https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=27284 is a python script

Ryan Govostes 653f9d0273 [asan] Support dead code stripping on Mach-O platforms
On OS X El Capitan and iOS 9, the linker supports a new section
attribute, live_support, which allows dead stripping to remove dead
globals along with the ASAN metadata about them.

With this change __asan_global structures are emitted in a new
__DATA,__asan_globals section on Darwin.

Additionally, there is a __DATA,__asan_liveness section with the
live_support attribute. Each entry in this section is simply a tuple
that binds together the liveness of a global variable and its ASAN
metadata structure. Thus the metadata structure will be alive if and
only if the global it references is also alive.

Adhemerval Zanella e600c99a4e [sanitizer] [msan] Fix origin store of array types
This patch fixes the memory sanitizer origin store instrumentation for
array types. This can be triggered by cases where frontend lowers
function return to array type instead of aggregation.

For instance, the C code:

--
struct mypair {
 int64_t x;
 int y;
};

mypair my_make_pair(int64_t x, int y)  {
 mypair p;
 p.x = x;
 p.y = y;
 return p;
}

int foo (int p)
{
  mypair z = my_make_pair(p, 0);
  return z.y + z.x;
}
--

It will be lowered with target set to aarch64-linux and -O0 to:

--
[...]
define i32 @_Z3fooi(i32 %p) #0 {
[...]
%call = call [2 x i64] @_Z12my_make_pairxi(i64 %conv, i32 0)
%1 = bitcast %struct.mypair* %z to [2 x i64]*
store [2 x i64] %call, [2 x i64]* %1, align 8
[...]
--

The origin store will emit a 'icmp' to test each store value again the
TLS origin array. However since 'icmp' does not support ArrayType the
memory instrumentation phase will bail out with an error.

This patch change it by using the same strategy used for struct type on
array.

It fixes the 'test/msan/insertvalue_origin.cc' for aarch64 (the -O0 case).

Pete Cooper 72bc23ef02 Change memcpy/memset/memmove to have dest and source alignments.
Note, this was reviewed (and more details are in) http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20151109/312083.html

These intrinsics currently have an explicit alignment argument which is
required to be a constant integer. It represents the alignment of the
source and dest, and so must be the minimum of those.

This change allows source and dest to each have their own alignments
by using the alignment attribute on their arguments. The alignment
argument itself is removed.

There are a few places in the code for which the code needs to be
checked by an expert as to whether using only src/dest alignment is
safe. For those places, they currently take the minimum of src/dest
alignments which matches the current behaviour.

For example, code which used to read:
  call void @llvm.memcpy.p0i8.p0i8.i32(i8* %dest, i8* %src, i32 500, i32 8, i1 false)
will now read:
  call void @llvm.memcpy.p0i8.p0i8.i32(i8* align 8 %dest, i8* align 8 %src, i32 500, i1 false)

For out of tree owners, I was able to strip alignment from calls using sed by replacing:
  (call.*llvm\.memset.*)i32\ [0-9]*\,\ i1 false\)
with:
  $1i1 false)

and similarly for memmove and memcpy.

I then added back in alignment to test cases which needed it.

A similar commit will be made to clang which actually has many differences in alignment as now
IRBuilder can generate different source/dest alignments on calls.

In IRBuilder itself, a new argument was added. Instead of calling:
  CreateMemCpy(Dst, Src, getInt64(Size), DstAlign, /* isVolatile */ false)
you now call
  CreateMemCpy(Dst, Src, getInt64(Size), DstAlign, SrcAlign, /* isVolatile */ false)

There is a temporary class (IntegerAlignment) which takes the source alignment and rejects
implicit conversion from bool. This is to prevent isVolatile here from passing its default
parameter to the source alignment.

Note, changes in future can now be made to codegen. I didn't change anything here, but this
change should enable better memcpy code sequences.

Peter Collingbourne d4bff30370 DI: Reverse direction of subprogram -> function edge.
Previously, subprograms contained a metadata reference to the function they
described. Because most clients need to get or set a subprogram for a given
function rather than the other way around, this created unneeded inefficiency.

For example, many passes needed to call the function llvm::makeSubprogramMap()
to build a mapping from functions to subprograms, and the IR linker needed to
fix up function references in a way that caused quadratic complexity in the IR
linking phase of LTO.

This change reverses the direction of the edge by storing the subprogram as
function-level metadata and removing DISubprogram's function field.

Since this is an IR change, a bitcode upgrade has been provided.

Fixes PR23367. An upgrade script for textual IR for out-of-tree clients is

While working on the testcases, I realized that

purpose was to check for a corner case in PR22792 where two subprogram

precludes that possibility.

I updated almost all the IR with the following script:

Alexey Samsonov 869a5ff37f [ASan] Disable dynamic alloca and UAR detection in presence of returns_twice calls.
Summary:
returns_twice (most importantly, setjmp) functions are
optimization-hostile: if local variable is promoted to register, and is
changed between setjmp() and longjmp() calls, this update will be
undone. This is the reason why "man setjmp" advises to mark all these
locals as "volatile".

This can not be enough for ASan, though: when it replaces static alloca
with dynamic one, optionally called if UAR mode is enabled, it adds a
whole lot of SSA values, and computations of local variable addresses,
that can involve virtual registers, and cause unexpected behavior, when
these registers are restored from buffer saved in setjmp.

To fix this, just disable dynamic alloca and UAR tricks whenever we see
a returns_twice call in the function.

We currently version `__asan_init` and when the ABI version doesn't match, the linker gives a `undefined reference to '__asan_init_v5'` message. From this, it might not be obvious that it's actually a version mismatch error. We obviously don't want the initializer to be named like that, so it's a separate symbol that is used only for the purpose of version checking.

Alexey Samsonov 19ffcb900f Let llvm::ReplaceInstWithInst copy debug location from old to new instruction.
Currently some users of this function do this explicitly, and all the
rest forget to do this.

ThreadSanitizer was one of such users, and had missing debug
locations for calls into TSan runtime handling atomic operations,
eventually leading to poorly symbolized stack traces and malfunctioning
suppressions.

This is another change relevant to PR23837.

David Majnemer 7fddeccb8b Move the personality function from LandingPadInst to Function
The personality routine currently lives in the LandingPadInst.

This isn't desirable because:
- All LandingPadInsts in the same function must have the same
  personality routine. This means that each LandingPadInst beyond the
  first has an operand which produces no additional information.

- There is ongoing work to introduce EH IR constructs other than
  LandingPadInst. Moving the personality routine off of any one
  particular Instruction and onto the parent function seems a lot better
  than have N different places a personality function can sneak onto an
  exceptional function.

The following code triggers a fatal error in the compiler instrumentation
of ASan on Darwin because we place the attribute into llvm.metadata section,
which does not have the proper MachO section name.

void foo() __attribute__((annotate("custom")));
void foo() {;}

This commit reorders the checks so that we skip everything in llvm.metadata

parse. That check will be done lower in the compilation pipeline anyway.

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith a9308c49ef IR: Give 'DI' prefix to debug info metadata
Finish off PR23080 by renaming the debug info IR constructs from `MD*`
to `DI*`. The last of the `DIDescriptor` classes were deleted in
r235356, and the last of the related typedefs removed in r235413, so
this has all baked for about a week.

Note: If you have out-of-tree code (like a frontend), I recommend that
you get everything compiling and tests passing with the *previous*
commit before updating to this one. It'll be easier to keep track of
what code is using the `DIDescriptor` hierarchy and what you've already
updated, and I think you're extremely unlikely to insert bugs. YMMV of
course.

Back to *this* commit: I did this using the rename-md-di-nodes.sh
upgrade script I've attached to PR23080 (both code and testcases) and
filtered through clang-format-diff.py. I edited the tests for
test/Assembler/invalid-generic-debug-node-*.ll by hand since the columns
were off-by-three. It should work on your out-of-tree testcases (and
code, if you've followed the advice in the previous paragraph).

Some of the tests are in badly named files now (e.g.,
test/Assembler/invalid-mdcompositetype-missing-tag.ll should be
'dicompositetype'); I'll come back and move the files in a follow-up
commit.

David Blaikie 23af64846f [opaque pointer type] Add textual IR support for explicit type parameter to the call instruction
See r230786 and r230794 for similar changes to gep and load
respectively.

Call is a bit different because it often doesn't have a single explicit
type - usually the type is deduced from the arguments, and just the
return type is explicit. In those cases there's no need to change the
IR.

When that's not the case, the IR usually contains the pointer type of
the first operand - but since typed pointers are going away, that
representation is insufficient so I'm just stripping the "pointerness"
of the explicit type away.

This does make the IR a bit weird - it /sort of/ reads like the type of
the first operand: "call void () %x(" but %x is actually of type "void
()*" and will eventually be just of type "ptr". But this seems not too
bad and I don't think it would benefit from repeating the type
("void (), void () * %x(" and then eventually "void (), ptr %x(") as has
been done with gep and load.

This also has a side benefit: since the explicit type is no longer a
pointer, there's no ambiguity between an explicit type and a function
that returns a function pointer. Previously this case needed an explicit
type (eg: a function returning a void() function was written as
"call void () () * @x(" rather than "call void () * @x(" because of the
ambiguity between a function returning a pointer to a void() function
and a function returning void).

No ambiguity means even function pointer return types can just be
written alone, without writing the whole function's type.

This leaves /only/ the varargs case where the explicit type is required.

Given the special type syntax in call instructions, the regex-fu used
for migration was a bit more involved in its own unique way (as every
one of these is) so here it is. Use it in conjunction with the apply.sh
script and associated find/xargs commands I've provided in rr230786 to
migrate your out of tree tests. Do let me know if any of this doesn't
cover your cases & we can iterate on a more general script/regexes to
help others with out of tree tests.

About 9 test cases couldn't be automatically migrated - half of those
were functions returning function pointers, where I just had to manually
delete the function argument types now that we didn't need an explicit
function type there. The other half were typedefs of function types used
in calls - just had to manually drop the * from those.

Reid Kleckner 92b9c6e6fe [ASan] Don't use stack malloc for 32-bit functions using inline asm
This prevents us from running out of registers in the backend.

Introducing stack malloc calls prevents the backend from recognizing the
inline asm operands as stack objects. When the backend recognizes a
stack object, it doesn't need to materialize the address of the memory
in a physical register. Instead it generates a simple SP-based memory
operand. Introducing a stack malloc forces the backend to find a free
register for every memory operand. 32-bit x86 simply doesn't have enough
registers for this to succeed in most cases.

Dmitry Vyukov 618d580ec9 asan: optimization experiments
The experiments can be used to evaluate potential optimizations that remove
instrumentation (assess false negatives). Instead of completely removing
some instrumentation, you set Exp to a non-zero value (mask of optimization
experiments that want to remove instrumentation of this instruction).
If Exp is non-zero, this pass will emit special calls into runtime
(e.g. __asan_report_exp_load1 instead of __asan_report_load1). These calls
make runtime terminate the program in a special way (with a different
exit status). Then you run the new compiler on a buggy corpus, collect
the special terminations (ideally, you don't see them at all -- no false
negatives) and make the decision on the optimization.

The exact reaction to experiments in runtime is not implemented in this patch.
It will be defined and implemented in a subsequent patch.

Introduce -mllvm -sanitizer-coverage-8bit-counters=1
which adds imprecise thread-unfriendly 8-bit coverage counters.

The run-time library maps these 8-bit counters to 8-bit bitsets in the same way
AFL (http://lcamtuf.coredump.cx/afl/technical_details.txt) does:
counter values are divided into 8 ranges and based on the counter
value one of the bits in the bitset is set.
The AFL ranges are used here: 1, 2, 3, 4-7, 8-15, 16-31, 32-127, 128+.

These counters provide a search heuristic for single-threaded
coverage-guided fuzzers, we do not expect them to be useful for other purposes.

Depending on the value of -fsanitize-coverage=[123] flag,
these counters will be added to the function entry blocks (=1),
every basic block (=2), or every edge (=3).

Use these counters as an optional search heuristic in the Fuzzer library.
Add a test where this heuristic is critical.

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith e274180f0e DebugInfo: Move new hierarchy into place
Move the specialized metadata nodes for the new debug info hierarchy
into place, finishing off PR22464. I've done bootstraps (and all that)
and I'm confident this commit is NFC as far as DWARF output is
concerned. Let me know if I'm wrong :).

The code changes are fairly mechanical:

  - Bumped the "Debug Info Version".
  - `DIBuilder` now creates the appropriate subclass of `MDNode`.
  - Subclasses of DIDescriptor now expect to hold their "MD"
    counterparts (e.g., `DIBasicType` expects `MDBasicType`).
  - Deleted a ton of dead code in `AsmWriter.cpp` and `DebugInfo.cpp`
    for printing comments.
  - Big update to LangRef to describe the nodes in the new hierarchy.
    Feel free to make it better.

Testcase changes are enormous. There's an accompanying clang commit on
its way.

If you have out-of-tree debug info testcases, I just broke your build.

  - `upgrade-specialized-nodes.sh` is attached to PR22564. I used it to
    update all the IR testcases.
  - Unfortunately I failed to find way to script the updates to CHECK
    lines, so I updated all of these by hand. This was fairly painful,
    since the old CHECKs are difficult to reason about. That's one of
    the benefits of the new hierarchy.

This work isn't quite finished, BTW. The `DIDescriptor` subclasses are
almost empty wrappers, but not quite: they still have loose casting
checks (see the `RETURN_FROM_RAW()` macro). Once they're completely
gutted, I'll rename the "MD" classes to "DI" and kill the wrappers. I
also expect to make a few schema changes now that it's easier to reason
about everything.

David Blaikie 79e6c74981 [opaque pointer type] Add textual IR support for explicit type parameter to getelementptr instruction
One of several parallel first steps to remove the target type of pointers,
replacing them with a single opaque pointer type.

This adds an explicit type parameter to the gep instruction so that when the
first parameter becomes an opaque pointer type, the type to gep through is
still available to the instructions.

* This doesn't modify gep operators, only instructions (operators will be
  handled separately)

* Textual IR changes only. Bitcode (including upgrade) and changing the
  in-memory representation will be in separate changes.

* geps of vectors are transformed as:
    getelementptr <4 x float*> %x, ...
  ->getelementptr float, <4 x float*> %x, ...
  Then, once the opaque pointer type is introduced, this will ultimately look
  like:
    getelementptr float, <4 x ptr> %x
  with the unambiguous interpretation that it is a vector of pointers to float.

* address spaces remain on the pointer, not the type:
    getelementptr float addrspace(1)* %x
  ->getelementptr float, float addrspace(1)* %x
  Then, eventually:
    getelementptr float, ptr addrspace(1) %x

Importantly, the massive amount of test case churn has been automated by
same crappy python code. I had to manually update a few test cases that
wouldn't fit the script's model (r228970,r229196,r229197,r229198). The
python script just massages stdin and writes the result to stdout, I
then wrapped that in a shell script to handle replacing files, then
using the usual find+xargs to migrate all the files.

apply.sh:
for name in "$@"
do
  python3 `dirname "$0"`/update.py < "$name" > "$name.tmp" && mv "$name.tmp" "$name"
  rm -f "$name.tmp"
done

The actual commands:
From llvm/src:
find test/ -name *.ll | xargs ./apply.sh
From llvm/src/tools/clang:
find test/ -name *.mm -o -name *.m -o -name *.cpp -o -name *.c | xargs -I '{}' ../../apply.sh "{}"
From llvm/src/tools/polly:
find test/ -name *.ll | xargs ./apply.sh

After that, check-all (with llvm, clang, clang-tools-extra, lld,
compiler-rt, and polly all checked out).

The extra 'rm' in the apply.sh script is due to a few files in clang's test
suite using interesting unicode stuff that my python script was throwing
exceptions on. None of those files needed to be migrated, so it seemed
sufficient to ignore those cases.

An atomic store always make the target location fully initialized (in the
current implementation). It should not store origin. Initialized memory can't
have meaningful origin, and, due to origin granularity (4 bytes) there is a
chance that this extra store would overwrite meaningfull origin for an adjacent

accompanying clang commit for frontend testcases. I'll attach the
testcase upgrade script I used to PR21433 to help out-of-tree
frontends/backends.

This changes the schema for `DebugLoc` and `DILocation` from:

    !{i32 3, i32 7, !7, !8}

to:

    !MDLocation(line: 3, column: 7, scope: !7, inlinedAt: !8)

Note that empty fields (line/column: 0 and inlinedAt: null) don't get
printed by the assembly writer.

Just dropping the $name causes problems for

So the syntax is changed to

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith be7ea19b58 IR: Make metadata typeless in assembly
Now that `Metadata` is typeless, reflect that in the assembly. These
are the matching assembly changes for the metadata/value split in
r223802.

  - Only use the `metadata` type when referencing metadata from a call
    intrinsic -- i.e., only when it's used as a `Value`.

  - Stop pretending that `ValueAsMetadata` is wrapped in an `MDNode`
    when referencing it from call intrinsics.

So, assembly like this:

    define @foo(i32 %v) {
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{i32 %v}, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{i32 7}, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !1, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !3, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{metadata !3}, metadata !0)
      ret void, !bar !2
    }
    !0 = metadata !{metadata !2}
    !1 = metadata !{i32* @global}
    !2 = metadata !{metadata !3}
    !3 = metadata !{}

turns into this:

    define @foo(i32 %v) {
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata i32 %v, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata i32 7, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata i32* @global, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !3, metadata !0)
      call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{!3}, metadata !0)
      ret void, !bar !2
    }
    !0 = !{!2}
    !1 = !{i32* @global}
    !2 = !{!3}
    !3 = !{}

I wrote an upgrade script that handled almost all of the tests in llvm
and many of the tests in cfe (even handling many `CHECK` lines). I've
attached it (or will attach it in a moment if you're speedy) to PR21532
to help everyone update their out-of-tree testcases.

This is part of PR21532.

Alexey Samsonov 4b7f413e3e [ASan] Change fake stack and local variables handling.
This commit changes the way we get fake stack from ASan runtime
(to find use-after-return errors) and the way we represent local
variables:
  - __asan_stack_malloc function now returns pointer to newly allocated
    fake stack frame, or NULL if frame cannot be allocated. It doesn't
    take pointer to real stack as an input argument, it is calculated
    inside the runtime.
  - __asan_stack_free function doesn't take pointer to real stack as
    an input argument. Now this function is never called if fake stack
    frame wasn't allocated.
  - __asan_init version is bumped to reflect changes in the ABI.
  - new flag "-asan-stack-dynamic-alloca" allows to store all the
    function local variables in a dynamic alloca, instead of the static
    one. It reduces the stack space usage in use-after-return mode
    (dynamic alloca will not be called if the local variables are stored
    in a fake stack), and improves the debug info quality for local
    variables (they will not be described relatively to %rbp/%rsp, which
    are assumed to be clobbered by function calls). This flag is turned
    off by default for now, but I plan to turn it on after more
    testing.

Justin Bogner 61ba2e3996 InstrProf: An intrinsic and lowering for instrumentation based profiling
Introduce the ``llvm.instrprof_increment`` intrinsic and the
``-instrprof`` pass. These provide the infrastructure for writing
counters for profiling, as in clang's ``-fprofile-instr-generate``.

The implementation of the instrprof pass is ported directly out of the
CodeGenPGO classes in clang, and with the followup in clang that rips
that code out to use these new intrinsics this ends up being NFC.

Doing the instrumentation this way opens some doors in terms of
improving the counter performance. For example, this will make it
simple to experiment with alternate lowering strategies, and allows us
to try handling profiling specially in some optimizations if we want
to.

Finally, this drastically simplifies the frontend and puts all of the
lowering logic in one place.

We currently have no infrastructure to support these correctly.

This is accomplished by generating a call to a runtime library function that
aborts at runtime in place of the regular wrapper for such functions. Direct

We also remove the "split-stack" attribute from such wrappers, as the code

David Blaikie c6c6c7b177 DebugInfo+DFSan: Ensure that debug info references to llvm::Functions remain pointing to the underlying function when wrappers are created
This is somewhat the inverse of how similar bugs in DAE and ArgPromo
manifested and were addressed. In those passes, individual call sites
were visited explicitly, and then the old function was deleted. This
left the debug info with a null llvm::Function* that needed to be
updated to point to the new function.

In the case of DFSan, it RAUWs the old function with the wrapper, which
includes debug info. So now the debug info refers to the wrapper, which
doesn't actually have any instructions with debug info in it, so it is
ignored entirely - resulting in a DW_TAG_subprogram with no high/low pc,
etc. Instead, fix up the debug info to refer to the original function
after the RAUW messed it up.

Adrian Prantl 87b7eb9d0f Move the complex address expression out of DIVariable and into an extra
argument of the llvm.dbg.declare/llvm.dbg.value intrinsics.

Previously, DIVariable was a variable-length field that has an optional
reference to a Metadata array consisting of a variable number of
complex address expressions. In the case of OpPiece expressions this is
wasting a lot of storage in IR, because when an aggregate type is, e.g.,
SROA'd into all of its n individual members, the IR will contain n copies
of the DIVariable, all alike, only differing in the complex address
reference at the end.

By making the complex address into an extra argument of the
dbg.value/dbg.declare intrinsics, all of the pieces can reference the
same variable and the complex address expressions can be uniqued across
the CU, too.
Down the road, this will allow us to move other flags, such as
"indirection" out of the DIVariable, too.

The new intrinsics look like this:
declare void @llvm.dbg.declare(metadata %storage, metadata %var, metadata %expr)
declare void @llvm.dbg.value(metadata %storage, i64 %offset, metadata %var, metadata %expr)

This patch adds a new LLVM-local tag to DIExpressions, so we can detect
and pretty-print DIExpression metadata nodes.

What this patch doesn't do:

This patch does not touch the "Indirect" field in DIVariable; but moving
that into the expression would be a natural next step.

Peter Collingbourne fab565a56b [dfsan] Fix non-determinism bug in non-zero label check annotator.
We now use a std::vector instead of a DenseSet to store the list of
label checks so that we can iterate over it deterministically.

Peter Collingbourne f39430bd4a [dfsan] Treat vararg custom functions like unimplemented functions.
Because declarations of these functions can appear in places like autoconf
checks, they have to be handled somehow, even though we do not support
vararg custom functions. We do so by printing a warning and calling the
uninstrumented function, as we do for unimplemented functions.

Reid Kleckner 3ae6e1528a msan: Handle musttail calls
First, avoid calling setTailCall(false) on musttail calls. The funciton
prototypes should be "congruent", so the shadow layout should be exactly
the same.

Second, avoid inserting instrumentation after a musttail call to
propagate the return value shadow. We don't need to propagate the
result of a tail call, it should already be in the right place.

Alexey Samsonov d9ad5cec0c [ASan] Use metadata to pass source-level information from Clang to ASan.
Instead of creating global variables for source locations and global names,
just create metadata nodes and strings. They will be transformed into actual
globals in the instrumentation pass (if necessary). This approach is more
flexible:
1) we don't have to ensure that our custom globals survive all the optimizations
2) if globals are discarded for some reason, we will simply ignore metadata for them
   and won't have to erase corresponding globals
3) metadata for source locations can be reused for other purposes: e.g. we may
   attach source location metadata to alloca instructions and provide better descriptions
   for stack variables in ASan error reports.

No functionality change.
