Patch by Igor Sugak.
Summary:
As mentioned in D69104, glibc changed ABI recently with the [[ https://sourceware.org/git/?p=glibc.git;a=commitdiff;h=2f959dfe849e0646e27403f2e4091536496ac0f0| 2f959dfe ]] change.
D69104 dealt with just 32-bit ARM, but that is just one of the many affected architectures.
E.g. x86_64, i?86, riscv64, sparc 32-bit, s390 31-bit are affected too (and various others).
This patch instead of adding a long list of further architectures that wouldn't be checked ever next to arm 32-bit changes the structures to match the 2.31 layout and performs the checking on Linux for ipc_perm mode position/size only on non-Linux or on Linux with glibc 2.31 or later. I think this matches what is done for aarch64 already.
If needed, we could list architectures that haven't changed ABI (e.g. powerpc), so that they would be checked even with older glibcs. AFAIK sanitizers don't actually use ipc_perm.mode and
so all they care about is the size and alignment of the whole structure.
Note, s390 31-bit and arm 32-bit big-endian changed ABI even further, there will now be shmctl with old symbol version and shmctl@@GLIBC_2.31 which will be incompatible. I'm afraid this isn't really solvable unless the sanitizer libraries are symbol versioned and use matching symbol versions to glibc symbols for stuff they intercept, plus use dlvsym.
This patch doesn't try to address that.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.
Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and

itimerval can contain padding that may be legitimately uninitialized.
On NetBSD there are four integers of type "long, int, long, int", the
int argument stands for __sanitizer_suseconds_t. Compiler adds extra
padding in this layout.
Check every field of struct itimerval separately.
Define __sanitizer_suseconds_t as long on FreeBSD, Linux and SmartOS,
and int on NetBSD. Define __sanitizer_timeval and __sanitizer_itimerval.

NetBSD renames symbols for historical and compat reasons.
Add required symbol renames in sanitizer_common_interceptors.inc:
- gettimeofday -> __gettimeofday50
- getrusage -> __getrusage50
- shmctl -> __shmctl50
Additionally handle sigaction symbol mangling.
Rename the function symbol in the file to SIGACTION_SYMNAME and define
it as __sigaction14 for NetBSD and sigaction for !NetBSD. We cannot use
simple renaming with the proprocessor, as there are valid fields named
sigaction and they must be left intact.

Summary:
Very recently, FreeBSD 12 has been updated to use 64-bit inode numbers:
<https://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/base/318737>. This entails many
user-visible changes, but for the sanitizers the modifications are
limited in scope:
* The `stat` and `lstat` syscalls were removed, and should be replaced
with calls to `fstatat`.
* The `getdents` syscall was removed, and should be replaced with calls
to `getdirentries`.
* The layout of `struct dirent` was changed to accomodate 64-bit inode
numbers, and a new `d_off` field was added.
* The system header <sys/_types.h> now contains a macro `__INO64` to
determine whether the system uses 64-bit inode numbers.
I tested these changes on both FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT (after r318959,
which adds the `__INO64` macro), and FreeBSD 11.0-STABLE (which still
uses 32-bit inode numbers).

intercepting utmp functions altogether for FreeBSD.

GLIBC now follows POSIX [1] for both msghdr and cmsghdr definitions,
which means that msg_iovlen, msg_controllen, and cmsg_len are no
longer size_t but sockelen_t for 64-bits architectures. The final struct
size does not change, since paddings were added.
This patch fixes the build issue against GLIBC 2.24 socket.h header by
using the same definition for internal __sanitizer_msghdr and
__sanitizer_cmsghdr.

Old version of sem_init (GLIBC_2.0) fails to initialize parts of
sem_t that are used in sem_timedwait. This is fixed in GLIBC_2.1,

build. Workaround by zero-initializing sem_t in sem_init.

Most of tests are passing with exception of:
* Linux/mallinfo.cc
* chained_origin_limits.cc
* dlerror.cc
* param_tls_limit.cc
* signal_stress_test.cc
* nonnull-arg.cpp
The 'Linux/mallinfo.cc' is due the fact AArch64 returns the sret in 'x8'
instead of default first argument 'x1'. So a function prototype that
aims to mimic (by using first argument as the return of function) won't
work. For GCC one can make a register alias (register var asm ("r8")), but
for clang it detects is an unused variable and generate wrong code.
The 'chained_origin_limits' is probably due a wrong code generation,
since it fails only when origin memory is used
(-fsanitize-memory-track-origins=2) and only in the returned code
(return buf[50]).
The 'signal_streess_test' and 'nonnull-arg' are due currently missing variadic
argument handling in memory sanitizer code instrumentation on LLVM side.
Both 'dlerror' and 'param_tls_test' are unknown failures that require
further investigation.
All the failures are XFAIL for aarch64 for now.
