Christian Kandeler 6b28835b37 clangd: Make documentation property of completion items more similar
... to the one of signature hints.
In particular, completion items now also carry annotations, which client

Sam McCall ece4e92085 [CodeComplete] Basic code completion for attribute names.
Only the bare name is completed, with no args.
For args to be useful we need arg names. These *are* in the tablegen but
not currently emitted in usable form, so left this as future work.

C++11, C2x, GNU, declspec, MS syntax is supported, with the appropriate
spellings of attributes suggested.
`#pragma clang attribute` is supported but not terribly useful as we
only reach completion if parens are balanced (i.e. the line is not truncated)

There's no filtering of which attributes might make sense in this
grammatical context (e.g. attached to a function). In code-completion context
this is hard to do, and will only work in few cases :-(

There's also no filtering by langopts: this is because currently the
only way of checking is to try to produce diagnostics, which requires a
valid ParsedAttr which is hard to get.
This should be fairly simple to fix but requires some tablegen changes
to expose the logic without the side-effect.

[clangd] Check if macro is already in the IdentifierTable before loading it
Having nested macros in the C code could cause clangd to fail an assert in clang::Preprocessor::setLoadedMacroDirective() and crash.

An example of the code that causes the assert failure:
```
...
```

During code completion in clangd, the macros will be loaded in loadMainFilePreambleMacros() by iterating over the macro names and calling PreambleIdentifiers->get(). Since these macro names are store in a StringSet (has StringMap underlying container), the order of the iterator is not guaranteed to be same as the order seen in the source code.

When clangd is trying to resolve nested macros it sometimes attempts to load them out of order which causes a macro to be stored twice. In the example above, ECHO2 macro gets resolved first, but since it uses another macro that has not been resolved it will try to resolve/store that as well. Now there are two MacroDirectives stored in the Preprocessor, ECHO and ECHO2. When clangd tries to load the next macro, ECHO, the preprocessor fails an assert in clang::Preprocessor::setLoadedMacroDirective() because there is already a MacroDirective stored for that macro name.

In this diff, I check if the macro is already inside the IdentifierTable and if it is skip it so that it is not resolved twice.

Sam McCall 7d1b499cae Revert "[clangd] Extract symbol-scope logic out of Quality, add tests. NFC"
On second thought, this can't properly be reused for highlighting.

Consider this example, which Quality wants to consider function-scope,
but highlighting must consider class-scope:

  class X {

  };
}

Sam McCall d0817b5f18 [clangd] Extract symbol-scope logic out of Quality, add tests. NFC
This prepares for reuse from the semantic highlighting code.

There's a bit of yak-shaving here:
 - when the enum is moved into the clangd namespace, promote it to a
   scoped enum. This means teaching the decision forest infrastructure
   to deal with scoped enums.
 - AccessibleScope isn't quite the right name: e.g. public class members
   are treated as accessible, but still have class scope. So rename to
   SymbolScope.
 - Rename some QualitySignals members to avoid name conflicts.
   (the string) SymbolScope -> Scope
   (the enum) Scope -> ScopeKind

Utkarsh Saxena 7df80a1204 [clangd] Add support for multiple DecisionForest model experiments.
With every incremental change, one needs to check-in new model upstream.
This also significantly increases the size of the git repo with every
new model.
Testing and comparing the old and previous model is also not possible as
we run only a single model at any point.

One solution is to have a "staging" decision forest which can be
injected into clangd without pushing it to upstream. Compare the
performance of the staging model with the live model. After a couple of
enhancements have been done to staging model, we can then replace the
live model upstream with the staging model. This reduces upstream churn
and also allows us to compare models with current baseline model.

This is done by having a callback in CodeCompleteOptions which is called
only when we want to use a decision forest ranking model. This allows us
to inject different completion model internally.

Utkarsh Saxena a8b55b6939 [clangd] Use Decision Forest to score code completions.
By default clangd will score a code completion item using heuristics model.

Scoring can be done by Decision Forest model by passing `--ranking_model=decision_forest` to
clangd.

Features omitted from the model:
- `NameMatch` is excluded because the final score must be multiplicative in `NameMatch` to allow rescoring by the editor.
- `NeedsFixIts` is excluded because the generating dataset that needs 'fixits' is non-trivial.

There are multiple ways (heuristics) to combine the above two features with the prediction of the DF:
- `NeedsFixIts` is used as is with a penalty of `0.5`.

Various alternatives of combining NameMatch `N` and Decision forest Prediction `P`
- N * scale(P, 0, 1): Linearly scale the output of model to range [0, 1]
- N * a^P:
  - More natural: Prediction of each Decision Tree can be considered as a multiplicative boost (like NameMatch)
  - Ordering is independent of the absolute value of P. Order of two items is proportional to `a^{difference in model prediction score}`. Higher `a` gives higher weightage to model output as compared to NameMatch score.

Baseline MRR = 0.619
MRR for various combinations:
N * P = 0.6346, advantage%=2.5768
N * 1.1^P = 0.6600, advantage%=6.6853
N * **1.2**^P = 0.6669, advantage%=**7.8005**

Sam McCall 30667c967d [clangd] Add error() function for creating formatv-style llvm::Errors. NFC
Summary:
This is considerably terser than the makeStringError and friends, and
avoids verbosity cliffs that discourage adding log information.

It follows the syntax used in log/elog/vlog/dlog that have been successful.

The main caveats are:
 - it's strictly out-of-place in logger.h, though kind of fits thematically and
   in implementation
 - it claims the "error" identifier, which seems a bit too opinionated
   to put higher up in llvm

I've updated some users of StringError mostly at random - there are lots
more mechanical changes but I'd like to get this reviewed before making
them all.

Summary:
This patch adds an instrumentation mode for clangd (enabled by
corresponding option in cc_opts).
If this mode is enabled then user can specify callbacks to run on the
final code completion result.

Moreover the CodeCompletion::Score will contain the detailed Quality and
Relevance signals used to compute the score when this mode is enabled.
These are required because we do not any place in which the final
candidates (scored and sorted) are available along with the above
signals. The signals are temporary structures in `addCandidate`.

The callback is needed as it gives access to many data structures that
are internal to CodeCompleteFlow and are available once Sema has run. Eg:
ScopeDistnace and FileDistance.

If this mode is disabled (as in default) then Score would just contain 2
shared pointers (null). Thus cost(memory/time) increase for the default
mode would be fairly cheap and insignificant.
