Replace `std::vector<SectionChunk*> AssociativeChildren` with a

1,954,071 KB of heap. These numbers exclude memory mapped files, which

Note that LLVM/Clang currently specifies code models differently to GCC, where
small and medium imply the same functionality as GCC's medlow and medany

...we have a case where we want to fold a binop of select-shuffle (blended) values.
Rather than try to match commuted variants of the pattern, we can canonicalize the
shuffles and check for mask equality with commuted operands.
We don't produce arbitrary shuffle masks in instcombine, but select-shuffles are a
special case that the backend is required to handle because we already canonicalize
vector select to this shuffle form.
So there should be no codegen difference from this change. It's possible that this

This patch adds an experimental stage named MicroOpQueueStage.
MicroOpQueueStage can be used to simulate a hardware micro-op queue (basically,
a decoupling queue between 'decode' and 'dispatch'). Users can specify a queue
size, as well as a optional MaxIPC (which - in the absence of a "Decoders" stage
- can be used to simulate a different throughput from the decoders).
This stage is added to the default pipeline between the EntryStage and the
DispatchStage only if PipelineOption::MicroOpQueue is different than zero. By
default, llvm-mca sets PipelineOption::MicroOpQueue to the value of hidden flag
-micro-op-queue-size.
Throughput from the decoder can be simulated via another hidden flag named
-decoder-throughput. That flag allows us to quickly experiment with different
frontend throughputs. For targets that declare a loop buffer, flag
-decoder-throughput allows users to do multiple runs, each time simulating a
different throughput from the decoders.
This stage can/will be extended in future. For example, we could add a "buffer
full" event to notify bottlenecks caused by backpressure. flag
-decoder-throughput would probably go away if in future we delegate to another
stage (DecoderStage?) the simulation of a (potentially variable) throughput from
the decoders. For now, flag -decoder-throughput is "good enough" to run some
simple experiments.

The issue here is that we actually allow CGSCC passes to mutate IR (and
therefore invalidate analyses) outside of the current SCC. At a minimum,
we need to support mutating parent and ancestor SCCs to support the
ArgumentPromotion pass which rewrites all calls to a function.
However, the analysis invalidation infrastructure is heavily based
around not needing to invalidate the same IR-unit at multiple levels.
With Loop passes for example, they don't invalidate other Loops. So we
need to customize how we handle CGSCC invalidation. Doing this without
gratuitously re-running analyses is even harder. I've avoided most of
these by using an out-of-band preserved set to accumulate the cross-SCC
invalidation, but it still isn't perfect in the case of re-visiting the
same SCC repeatedly *but* it coming off the worklist. Unclear how
important this use case really is, but I wanted to call it out.
Another wrinkle is that in order for this to successfully propagate to
function analyses, we have to make sure we have a proxy from the SCC to
the Function level. That requires pre-creating the necessary proxy.
The motivating test case now works cleanly and is added for
ArgumentPromotion.

[llvm] Prevent duplicate files in debug line header in dwarf 5.
Motivation: In previous dwarf versions, file name indexes started from 1, and
the primary source file was not explicit. Dwarf 5 standard (6.2.4) prescribes
the primary source file to be explicitly given an entry with an index number 0.
The current implementation honors the specification by just duplicating the
main source file, once with index number 0, and later maybe with another
index number. While this is compliant with the letter of the standard, the
duplication causes problems for consumers of this information such as lldb.
(Some files are duplicated, where only some of them have a line table although
all refer to the same file)
With this change, dwarf 5 debug line section files always start from 0, and
the zeroth entry is not duplicated whenever possible. This requires different
handling of dwarf 4 and dwarf 5 during generation (e.g. when a function returns
an index zero for a file name, it signals an error in dwarf 4, but not in dwarf 5)
However, I think the minor complication is worth it, because it enables all
consumers (lldb, gdb, dwarfdump, objdump, and so on) to treat all files in the
file name list homogenously.

AA changes:

- All AAResultBase implementations add the QueryInfo member to all APIs. AAResults APIs maintain wrapper APIs such that all alias()/getModRefInfo call sites are unchanged.
- AA now provides a BatchAAResults type as a wrapper to AAResults. It keeps the AAResults instance and a QueryInfo instantiated to batch mode. It delegates all work to the AAResults instance with the batched QueryInfo. More API wrappers may be needed in BatchAAResults; only the minimum needed is currently added.
MemorySSA changes:
- All walkers are now templated on the AA used (AliasAnalysis=AAResults or BatchAAResults).
- At build time, we optimize uses; now we create a local walker (lives only as long as OptimizeUses does) using BatchAAResults.
- All Walkers have an internal AA and only use that now, never the AA in MemorySSA. The Walkers receive the AA they will use when built.
- The walker we use for queries after the build is instantiated on AliasAnalysis and is built after building MemorySSA and setting AA.
- All static methods doing walking are now templated on AliasAnalysisType if they are used both during build and after. If used only during build, the method now only takes a BatchAAResults. If used only after build, the method now takes an AliasAnalysis.

This patch adds the ability to read a yaml form of a minidump file and

directory, only three basic stream kinds are supported:
- Text: This kind is used for streams which contain textual data. This
is typically the contents of a /proc file on linux (e.g.
/proc/PID/maps). In this case, we just put the raw stream contents
into the yaml.
- SystemInfo: This stream contains various bits of information about the
host system in binary form. We expose the data in a structured form.
- Raw: This kind is used as a fallback when we don't have any special
knowledge about the stream. In this case, we just print the stream
contents in hex.
For this code to be really useful, more stream kinds will need to be
added (particularly for things like lists of memory regions and loaded
modules). However, these can be added incrementally.

The previous logic also rejected certain binaries as false positives.
Some bind and rebase opcodes can modify the state machine such that the
next bind or rebase will fail. libObject will reject these opcodes as
invalid in order to be helpful and print an error message associated
with the instruction that caused the problem, even though the binary is
not actually illegal until it consumes the invalid state in the state
machine. In other words, libObject may reject a Mach-O binary that
Apple's dynamic linker may consider legal. The original version of
macho-rebase-add-addr-uleb-too-big is an example of such a binary.
I have replaced the existing checkSegAndOffset and checkCountAndSkip
functions with a single function, checkSegAndOffsets, which validates
all of the fixups realized by a DYLD_INFO opcode. checkSegAndOffsets
verifies that a Mach-O section fully contains each fixup. Every fixup
realized by an opcode is validated, and some (but not all!)
inconsistencies in the state machine are allowed until a fixup is
realized. This means that libObject may fail on an opcode that realizes
a fixup, not on the opcode that introduced the arithmetic error.
Existing test cases have been modified to reflect the changes in error
messages returned by libObject. What's more, the test case for
macho-rebase-add-addr-uleb-too-big has been modified so that it actually
triggers the error condition; the new code in libObject considers the
original test binary "legal".

Summary:
Implements a new target features section in assembly and object files
that records what features are used, required, and disallowed in
WebAssembly objects. The linker uses this information to ensure that
all objects participating in a link are feature-compatible and records
the set of used features in the output binary for use by optimizers
and other tools later in the toolchain.
The "atomics" feature is always required or disallowed to prevent
linking code with stripped atomics into multithreaded binaries. Other
features are marked used if they are enabled globally or on any
function in a module.
Future CLs will add linker flags for ignoring feature compatibility
checks and for specifying the set of allowed features, implement using
the presence of the "atomics" feature to control the type of memory
and segments in the linked binary, and add front-end flags for
relaxing the linkage policy for atomics.

Summary:
In the new wasm EH proposal, `rethrow` takes an `except_ref` argument.
This change was missing in r352598.
This patch adds `llvm.wasm.rethrow.in.catch` intrinsic. This is an
intrinsic that's gonna eventually be lowered to wasm `rethrow`
instruction, but this intrinsic can appear only within a catchpad or a
cleanuppad scope. Also this intrinsic needs to be invokable - otherwise
EH pad successor for it will not be correctly generated in clang.
This also adds lowering logic for this intrinsic in
`SelectionDAGBuilder::visitInvoke`. This routine is basically a
specialized and simplified version of
`SelectionDAGBuilder::visitTargetIntrinsic`, but we can't use it
because if is only for `CallInst`s.
This deletes the previous `llvm.wasm.rethrow` intrinsic and related
tests, which was meant to be used within a `__cxa_rethrow` library
function. Turned out this needs some more logic, so the intrinsic for
this purpose will be added later.
LateEHPrepare takes a result value of `catch` and inserts it into
matching `rethrow` as an argument.
`RETHROW_IN_CATCH` is a pseudo instruction that serves as a link between
`llvm.wasm.rethrow.in.catch` and the real wasm `rethrow` instruction. To
generate a `rethrow` instruction, we need an `except_ref` argument,
which is generated from `catch` instruction. But `catch` instrutions are
added in LateEHPrepare pass, so we use `RETHROW_IN_CATCH`, which takes
no argument, until we are able to correctly lower it to `rethrow` in
LateEHPrepare.

TimePassesHandler object (implementation of time-passes for new pass manager)
gains ability to report into a stream customizable per-instance (per pipeline).
Intended use is to specify separate time-passes output stream per each compilation,
setting up TimePasses member of StandardInstrumentation during PassBuilder setup.
That allows to get independent non-overlapping pass-times reports for parallel
independent compilations (in JIT-like setups).
By default it still puts timing reports into the info-output-file stream
(created by CreateInfoOutputFile every time report is requested).
Unit-test added for non-default case, and it also allowed to discover that print() does not work

Summary:
The AliasSummary previously contained the AliaseeGUID, which was only
populated when reading the summary from bitcode. This patch changes it
to instead hold the ValueInfo of the aliasee, and always populates it.
This enables more efficient access to the ValueInfo (specifically in the
recent patch r352438 which needed to perform an index hash table lookup
using the aliasee GUID).
As noted in the comments in AliasSummary, we no longer technically need
to keep a pointer to the corresponding aliasee summary, since it could
be obtained by walking the list of summaries on the ValueInfo looking
for the summary in the same module. However, I am concerned that this
would be inefficient when walking through the index during the thin
link for various analyses. That can be reevaluated in the future.
By always populating this new field, we can remove the guard and special
handling for a 0 aliasee GUID when dumping the dot graph of the summary.
An additional improvement in this patch is when reading the summaries
from LLVM assembly we now set the AliaseeSummary field to the aliasee
summary in that same module, which makes it consistent with the behavior
when reading the summary from bitcode.

The way c++ template argument deduction works, both arguments are used
to deduce the template type in the three-argument overload of
mapOptional. This is a problem if the types are slightly different, even
if they are implicitly convertible. This is fairly easy to trigger with
integral types, as the default type of most integral constants is int,
which then requires casting the constant to the type of the other
argument.
This patch fixes that by using a separate template type for the default
value, which is then cast to the type of the first argument. To avoid
this conversion triggerring conversions marged as explicit, we use

Prior to this change, any function symbols of the form "X.Y" were

With this change, the policy on suffixes can be changed by adding a
new attribute "sample-profile-suffix-elision-policy" to the function:
this attribute can have the value "all" (the default), "selected", or
"none". A value of "all" preserves the previous behavior (chop off
everything after the first "." character, then treat that as the
symbol name). A value of "selected" chops off only the rightmost
".llvm.XXXX" suffix (where "XXX" is any string not containing a "."

This patch adds a new option to SplitAllCriticalEdges and uses it to avoid splitting critical edges when the destination basic block ends with unreachable. Otherwise if we split the critical edge, sanitizer coverage will instrument the new block that gets inserted for the split. But since this block itself shouldn't be reachable this is pointless. These basic blocks will stick around and generate assembly, but they don't end in sane control flow and might get placed at the end of the function. This makes it look like one function has code that flows into the next function.
This showed up while compiling the linux kernel with clang. The kernel has a tool called objtool that detected the code that appeared to flow from one function to the next. https://github.com/ClangBuiltLinux/linux/issues/351#issuecomment-461698884

To enable analysis of clib functions, we not only need an intrinsic ID and

look at alignment and values of arguments. So, this is the initial plumbing to
pass the user of an intrinsinsic on to getCallCosts, which queries

Fixes https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36796.
Implement basic legalizations (PromoteIntRes, PromoteIntOp,
ExpandIntRes, ScalarizeVecOp, WidenVecOp) for VECREDUCE opcodes.
There are more legalizations missing (esp float legalizations),
but there's no way to test them right now, so I'm not adding them.
This also includes a few more changes to make this work somewhat
reasonably:
* Add support for expanding VECREDUCE in SDAG. Usually
experimental.vector.reduce is expanded prior to codegen, but if the
target does have native vector reduce, it may of course still be
necessary to expand due to legalization issues. This uses a shuffle
reduction if possible, followed by a naive scalar reduction.
* Allow the result type of integer VECREDUCE to be larger than the
vector element type. For example we need to be able to reduce a v8i8
into an (nominally) i32 result type on AArch64.
* Use the vector operand type rather than the scalar result type to
determine the action, so we can control exactly which vector types are
supported. Also change the legalize vector op code to handle
operations that only have vector operands, but no vector results, as
is the case for VECREDUCE.
* Default VECREDUCE to Expand. On AArch64 (only target using VECREDUCE),
explicitly specify for which vector types the reductions are supported.
This does not handle anything related to VECREDUCE_STRICT_*.

Summary:
Binary formats often include various enumerations or bitsets, but using
endian-specific types for accessing them is tricky because they
currently only support integral types. This is particularly true for
scoped enums (enum class), as these are not implicitly convertible to
integral types, and so one has to perform two casts just to read the
enum value.
This fixes that support by adding first-class support for enumeration
types to endian-specific types. The support for them was already almost
working -- all I needed to do was overload getSwappedBytes for
enumeration types (which casts the enum to its underlying type and performs the
conversion there). I also add some convenience template aliases to simplify
declaring endian-specific enums.

Includes a fix to emit a CheckOpcode for build_vector when immAllZerosV/immAllOnesV is used as a pattern root. This means it can't be used to look through bitcasts when used as a root, but that's probably ok. This extra CheckOpcode will ensure that the first match in the isel table will be a SwitchOpcode which is needed by the caching optimization in the ISel Matcher.
Original commit message:
Previously we had build_vector PatFrags that called ISD::isBuildVectorAllZeros/Ones. Internally the ISD::isBuildVectorAllZeros/Ones look through bitcasts, but we aren't able to take advantage of that in isel. Instead of we have to canonicalize the types of the all zeros/ones build_vectors and insert bitcasts. Then we have to pattern match those exact bitcasts.
By emitting specific matchers for these 2 nodes, we can make isel look through any bitcasts without needing to explicitly match them. We should also be able to remove the canonicalization to vXi32 from lowering, but I've left that for a follow up.

This patch replaces `memcmp(a, b, s) == 0` by `bcmp(a, b, s) == 0` on platforms

`bcmp` can be made much more efficient than `memcmp` because equality

The SubtargetFeature class managed a list of features as strings. And it also had functions for setting bits in a FeatureBitset.
The methods that operated on the Feature list as strings are used in other parts of the backend. But the parts that operate on FeatureBitset are very tightly coupled to MCSubtargetInfo and requires passing in the arrays that MCSubtargetInfo owns. And the same struct type is used for ProcFeatures and ProcDesc.
This has led to MCSubtargetInfo having 2 arrays keyed by CPU name. One containing a mapping from a CPU name to its features. And one containing a mapping from CPU name to its scheduler model.
I would like to make a single CPU array containing all CPU information and remove some unneeded fields the ProcDesc array currently has. But I don't want to make SubtargetFeatures.h have to know about the scheduler model type and have to forward declare or pull in the header file.

This patch adds a new flag named -bottleneck-analysis to print out information
about throughput bottlenecks.
MCA knows how to identify and classify dynamic dispatch stalls. However, it
doesn't know how to analyze and highlight kernel bottlenecks. The goal of this
patch is to teach MCA how to correlate increases in backend pressure to backend
stalls (and therefore, the loss of throughput).
From a Scheduler point of view, backend pressure is a function of the scheduler
buffer usage (i.e. how the number of uOps in the scheduler buffers changes over
time). Backend pressure increases (or decreases) when there is a mismatch
between the number of opcodes dispatched, and the number of opcodes issued in
the same cycle. Since buffer resources are limited, continuous increases in
backend pressure would eventually leads to dispatch stalls. So, there is a
strong correlation between dispatch stalls, and how backpressure changed over
time.
This patch teaches how to identify situations where backend pressure increases
due to:
- unavailable pipeline resources.
- data dependencies.
Data dependencies may delay execution of instructions and therefore increase the
time that uOps have to spend in the scheduler buffers. That often translates to
an increase in backend pressure which may eventually lead to a bottleneck.
Contention on pipeline resources may also delay execution of instructions, and
lead to a temporary increase in backend pressure.
Internally, the Scheduler classifies instructions based on whether register /
memory operands are available or not.
An instruction is marked as "ready to execute" only if data dependencies are
fully resolved.
Every cycle, the Scheduler attempts to execute all instructions that are ready
to execute. If an instruction cannot execute because of unavailable pipeline
resources, then the Scheduler internally updates a BusyResourceUnits mask with
the ID of each unavailable resource.
ExecuteStage is responsible for tracking changes in backend pressure. If backend
pressure increases during a cycle because of contention on pipeline resources,
then ExecuteStage sends a "backend pressure" event to the listeners.
That event would contain information about instructions delayed by resource
pressure, as well as the BusyResourceUnits mask.
Note that ExecuteStage also knows how to identify situations where backpressure
increased because of delays introduced by data dependencies.
The SummaryView observes "backend pressure" events and prints out a "bottleneck
report".
Example of bottleneck report:
```
Cycles with backend pressure increase [ 99.89% ]
Throughput Bottlenecks:
Resource Pressure [ 0.00% ]
Data Dependencies: [ 99.89% ]
- Register Dependencies [ 0.00% ]
- Memory Dependencies [ 99.89% ]
```
A bottleneck report is printed out only if increases in backend pressure
eventually caused backend stalls.
About the time complexity:
Time complexity is linear in the number of instructions in the
Scheduler::PendingSet.
The average slowdown tends to be in the range of ~5-6%.
For memory intensive kernels, the slowdown can be significant if flag
-noalias=false is specified. In the worst case scenario I have observed a
slowdown of ~30% when flag -noalias=false was specified.
We can definitely recover part of that slowdown if we optimize class LSUnit (by
doing extra bookkeeping to speedup queries). For now, this new analysis is
disabled by default, and it can be enabled via flag -bottleneck-analysis. Users
of MCA as a library can enable the generation of pressure events through the
constructor of ExecuteStage.

Summary:
Before when we implemented the first EH proposal, 'catch <tag>'
instruction may not catch an exception so there were multiple EH pads an
exception can unwind to. That means a BB could have multiple EH pad
successors.
Now after we switched to the new proposal, every 'catch' instruction
catches an exception, and there is only one catchpad per catchswitch, so
we at most have one EH pad successor, making `ThrowUnwindDest` map in
`WasmEHInfo` unnecessary.
Keeping `ThrowUnwindDest` map in `WasmEHInfo` has its own problems,
because other optimization passes can split a BB that contains possibly
throwing calls (previously invokes), and we have to update the map every
time that happens, which is not easy for common CodeGen passes.
This also correctly updates successor info in LateEHPrepare when we add
a rethrow instruction.

Add an SMLoc to CodeInit that records the source line it originated from.
This allows tablegen to point precisely at portions of code when reporting
errors within the CodeInit. For example, in the upcoming GlobalISel
combiner, it can report undefined expansions and point at the instance of
the expansion. This is achieved using something like:
SMLoc::getFromPointer(SMLoc::getPointer() +
(StringRef - CodeInit::getValue()))
The location is lost when producing a CodeInit by string concatenation so
a fallback SMLoc is required (e.g. the Record::getLoc()) but that's pretty
rare for CodeInits.
There's a reasonable case for extending tracking of a couple other Init
objects, for example StringInit's are often parsed and it would be good to
point inside the string when reporting errors about that. However, location
tracking also harms de-duplication. This is fine for CodeInit where there's
only a few hundred of them (~160 for X86) and it may be worth it for
StringInit (~86k up to ~1.9M for roughly 15MB increase for X86).
However the origin tracking would be a _terrible_ idea for IntInit, BitInit,
and UnsetInit. I haven't measured either of those three but BitInit would
most likely be on the order of increasing the current 2 BitInit values up
to billions.

Subtarget features are stored in a std::bitset that has been subclassed. There is a special constructor to allow the tablegen files to provide a list of bits to initialize the std::bitset to. This constructor isn't constexpr and std::bitset doesn't support many constexpr operations either. This results in a static global constructor being used to initialize the feature bitsets in these files at startup.
To fix this I've introduced a new FeatureBitArray class that holds three 64-bit values representing the initial bit values and taught tablegen to emit hex constants for them based on the feature enum values. This makes the tablegen files less readable than they were before. I can add the list of features back as a comment if we think that's important.
I've added a method to convert from this class into the std::bitset subclass we had before. I considered making the new FeatureBitArray class just implement the std::bitset interface we need instead, but thought I'd see how others felts about that first.
I've simplified the interfaces to SetImpliedBits and ClearImpliedBits a little minimize the number of times we need to convert to the bitset.

In D57601, I described the expectations around usage of AtomicSDNode and LoadSDNode/StoreSDNode w.r.t. atomic and volatiles. This patch simply embeds those expectations in assertions so that they can't be accidentally weakened.
Note: The reason only AtomicSDNodes of ATOMIC_LOAD and ATOMIC_STORE opcode are currently checked is that AMDGPU has an intrinsic which gets lowered to an ATOMIC_LOAD_FADD w/o a corresponding atomic MMO. This is suspicious, and I've brought it to the attention of the relevant developers. Once resolved, I'll strengthen that assertion.
Note 2: If this breaks your out-of-tree backend, go read the update instructions associated w/the previously mentioned patch. This will assert on (a subset of) things you need to update per those instructions.

This patch introduces Memory::MF_HUGE_HINT which indicates that allocateMappedMemory() shall return a pointer to a large memory page.
However the flag is a hint because we're not guaranteed in any way that we will get back a large memory page. There are several restrictions:
- Large/huge memory pages aren't enabled by default on modern OSes (Windows 10 and Linux at least), and should be manually enabled/reserved.
- Once enabled, it should be kept in mind that large pages are physical only, they can't be swapped.
- Memory fragmentation can affect the availability of large pages, especially after running the OS for a long time and/or running along many other applications.
Memory::allocateMappedMemory() will fallback to 4KB pages if it can't allocate 2MB large pages (if Memory::MF_HUGE_HINT is provided)
Currently, Memory::MF_HUGE_HINT only works on Windows. The hint will be ignored on Linux, 4KB pages will always be returned.

"wrong line number info for obj file compiled with -ffunction-sections"
bug. The problem happened with only .o files. If object file contains
several .text sections then line number information showed incorrectly.
The reason for this is that DwarfLineTable could not detect section which
corresponds to specified address(because address is the local to the
section). And as the result it could not select proper sequence in the
line table. The fix is to pass SectionIndex with the address. So that it
would be possible to differentiate addresses from various sections. With
this fix llvm-objdump shows correct line numbers for disassembled code.

Current PGO profile counts are not context sensitive. The branch probabilities
for the inlined functions are kept the same for all call-sites, and they might
be very different from the actual branch probabilities. These suboptimal
profiles can greatly affect some downstream optimizations, in particular for
the machine basic block placement optimization.
In this patch, we propose to have a post-inline PGO instrumentation/use pass,
which we called Context Sensitive PGO (CSPGO). For the users who want the best
possible performance, they can perform a second round of PGO instrument/use on
the top of the regular PGO. They will have two sets of profile counts. The
first pass profile will be manly for inline, indirect-call promotion, and
CGSCC simplification pass optimizations. The second pass profile is for
post-inline optimizations and code-gen optimizations.
A typical usage:
// Regular PGO instrumentation and generate pass1 profile.
> clang -O2 -fprofile-generate source.c -o gen
> ./gen
> llvm-profdata merge default.*profraw -o pass1.profdata
// CSPGO instrumentation.
> clang -O2 -fprofile-use=pass1.profdata -fcs-profile-generate -o gen2
> ./gen2
// Merge two sets of profiles
> llvm-profdata merge default.*profraw pass1.profdata -o profile.profdata
// Use the combined profile. Pass manager will invoke two PGO use passes.
> clang -O2 -fprofile-use=profile.profdata -o use

Summary:
In D58580 i have noted that `llvm::to_string()` is a memory hog.
It uses `raw_string_ostream`, and since it was buffered,
every `raw_string_ostream` had a cost of `BUFSIZ` bytes
(which is `8192` at least here). So every `llvm::to_string()`
call, even to just print an `int`, costed `8192` bytes.
In D58580, getting rid of that buffering //had// significant
performance and memory consumption improvements for `llvm-xray convert`.
Similarly, in D58580 @rnk pointed out that the `raw_svector_ostream`
is already unbuffered, and `write_unsigned_impl` and friends
do internal buffering. So it should be ok performance-wise to just
make the `raw_string_ostream` itself unbuffered.
Here, i don't have any perf measurements.
Another letdown is that i'm leaving a loose-end - not deleting the
`flush()` method. I don't expect that cleanup to be anything more
than just fixing every new compiler error, but i'm presently unable
to do that. Will look into that later.

More or less all the instructions defined in the v8.2a full-fp16
extension are defined as UNPREDICTABLE if you put them in an IT block
(Thumb) or use with any condition other than AL (ARM). LLVM didn't
know that, and was happy to conditionalise them.
In order to force these instructions to count as not predicable, I had
to make a small Tablegen change. The code generation back end mostly
decides if an instruction was predicable by looking for something it
can identify as a predicate operand; there's an isPredicable bit flag
that overrides that check in the positive direction, but nothing that
overrides it in the negative direction.
(I considered the alternative approach of actually removing the
predicate operand from those instructions, but thought that it would
be more painful overall for instructions differing only in data type
to have different shapes of operand list. This way, the only code that
has to notice the difference is the if-converter.)
So I've added an isUnpredicable bit alongside isPredicable, and set
that bit on the right subset of FP16 instructions, and also on the
VSEL, VMAXNM/VMINNM and VRINT[ANPM] families which should be
unpredicable for all data types.
I've included a couple of representative regression tests, both of
which previously caused an fp16 instruction to be conditionalised in
ARM state and (with -arm-no-restrict-it) to be put in an IT block in
Thumb.

Summary:
This patch separates two semantics of `applyUpdates`:
1. User provides an accurate CFG diff and the dominator tree is updated according to the difference of `the number of edge insertions` and `the number of edge deletions` to infer the status of an edge before and after the update.
2. User provides a sequence of hints. Updates mentioned in this sequence might never happened and even duplicated.
Logic changes:
Previously, removing invalid updates is considered a side-effect of deduplication and is not guaranteed to be reliable. To handle the second semantic, `applyUpdates` does validity checking before deduplication, which can cause updates that have already been applied to be submitted again. Then, different calls to `applyUpdates` might cause unintended consequences, for example,
```
DTU(Lazy) and Edge A->B exists.
1. DTU.applyUpdates({{Delete, A, B}, {Insert, A, B}}) // User expects these 2 updates result in a no-op, but {Insert, A, B} is queued
2. Remove A->B
3. DTU.applyUpdates({{Delete, A, B}}) // DTU cancels this update with {Insert, A, B} mentioned above together (Unintended)
```
But by restricting the precondition that updates of an edge need to be strictly ordered as how CFG changes were made, we can infer the initial status of this edge to resolve this issue.
Interface changes:
The second semantic of `applyUpdates` is separated to `applyUpdatesPermissive`.
These changes enable DTU(Lazy) to use the first semantic if needed, which is quite useful in `transforms/utils`.

By default, gcov uses the full pathname of the source files to to

can overflow filesystem limits. This option creates names of the

the final filename part and the md5 component is calculated from

Summary:
Instruments is a useful tool for finding performance issues in LLVM but it can
be difficult to identify regions of interest on the timeline that we can use
to filter the profiler or allocations instrument. Xcode 10 and the latest
macOS/iOS/etc. added support for the os_signpost() API which allows us to
annotate the timeline with information that's meaningful to LLVM.
This patch causes timer start and end events to emit signposts. When used with
-time-passes, this causes the passes to be annotated on the Instruments timeline.
In addition to visually showing the duration of passes on the timeline, it also
allows us to filter the profile and allocations instrument down to an individual
pass allowing us to find the issues within that pass without being drowned out
by the noise from other parts of the compiler.
Using this in conjunction with the Time Profiler (in high frequency mode) and
the Allocations instrument is how I found the SparseBitVector that should have
been a BitVector and the DenseMap that could be replaced by a sorted vector a
couple months ago. I added NamedRegionTimers to TableGen and used the resulting
annotations to identify the slow portions of the Register Info Emitter. Some of
these were placed according to educated guesses while others were placed
according to hot functions from a previous profile. From there I filtered the
profile to a slow portion and the aforementioned issues stood out in the
profile.
To use this feature enable LLVM_SUPPORT_XCODE_SIGNPOSTS in CMake and run the
compiler under Instruments with -time-passes like so:
instruments -t 'Time Profiler' bin/llc -time-passes -o - input.ll'
Then open the resulting trace in Instruments.
There was a talk at WWDC 2018 that explained the feature which can be found at

I'm prepared to revert that commit as soon as validation breaks,
which is likely to happen.

This class is used for two difference tablegen generated tables. For one of the tables the Value FeatureBitset only has one bit set. For the other usage the Implies field was unused.
This patch changes the Value field to just be an unsigned. For the usage that put a real vector in bitset, we now use the previously unused Implies field and leave the Value field unused instead.
This is good for a 16K reduction in the size of llc on my local build with all targets enabled.

In preparation for supporting vector expansion.
Add an isPostTypeLegalization flag to makeLibCall(), because this
expansion relies on the legalized form using MERGE_VALUES. Drop
the corresponding variant of ExpandLibCall, which is no longer used.
