clang Tooling, and more specifically Refactoring/Rename, have support
code to extract source locations given a Unified Symbol Resolution set.
This support code is used by clang-rename and other tools that might not
be in the tree.
Currently field designated initializer are not supported.
So, renaming S::a to S::b in this code:
S s = { .a = 10 };
will not extract the field designated initializer for a (the 'a' after the
dot).
This patch adds support for field designated initialized to
RecursiveSymbolVisitor and RenameLocFinder that is used in
createRenameAtomicChanges.

The class `SymbolOccurrences` can store either a single `SourceRange`
in-place or multiple `SourceRanges` on the heap. In the latter case
the number of source ranges is stored in the internal representation
of the beginning `SourceLocation` of the in-place `SourceRange`
object.
This change gets rid of such hack by placing `SourceRange` in a union
which holds either a valid `SourceRange` or an `unsigned int` (a number
of ranges).
The change also adds `static_assert`s that check that `SourceRange` and
`SourceLocation` are trivially destructible (this is required for the
current patch and for D94237 which has already been committed).

`OS << ND->getDeclName();` is equivalent to `OS << ND->getNameAsString();`
without the extra temporary string.
This is not quite a NFC since two uses of `getNameAsString` in a
diagnostic are replaced, which results in the named entity being
quoted with additional "'"s (ie: 'var' instead of var).
This change adds a Metadata field to ASTEdit, Edit, and AtomicChange so that
edits can have associated metadata and that metadata can be constructed with
Transformer-based RewriteRules. Metadata is ignored when applying edits to
source, but other consumers of AtomicChange can use this metadata to direct how
they want to consume each edit.

Summary:
As discussed previously when landing patch for OpenMP in Flang, the idea is
to share common part of the OpenMP declaration between the different Frontend.
While doing this it was thought that moving to tablegen instead of Macros will also
give a cleaner and more powerful way of generating these declaration.
This first part of a future series of patches is setting up the base .td file for
DirectiveLanguage as well as the OpenMP version of it. The base file is meant to
be used by other directive language such as OpenACC.
In this first patch, the Directive and Clause enums are generated with tablegen
instead of the macros on OMPConstants.h. The next pacth will extend this
to other enum and move the Flang frontend to use it.

while clangd-rename uses the ClassTemplateDecl.

DynTypedNode and ASTNodeKind are implemented as part of the clang AST
library, which uses the main clang namespace. There doesn't seem to be a
need for this extra level of namespacing.
I left behind aliases in the ast_type_traits namespace for out of tree
clients of these APIs. To provide aliases for the enumerators, I used
this pattern:

constexpr TraversalKind TK_AsIs = ::clang::TK_AsIs;
}
I think the typedefs will be useful for migration, but we might be able
to drop these enumerator aliases.

This is how it should've been and brings it more in line with
std::string_view. There should be no functional change here.
This is mostly mechanical from a custom clang-tidy check, with a lot of
manual fixups. It uncovers a lot of minor inefficiencies.
This doesn't actually modify StringRef yet, I'll do that in a follow-up.
The only part of ASTContext.h that requires most AST types to be
complete is the parent map. Nothing in Clang proper uses the ParentMap,
so split it out into its own class. Make ASTContext own the
ParentMapContext so there is still a one-to-one relationship.
After this change, 562 fewer files depend on ASTTypeTraits.h, and 66
fewer depend on TypeLoc.h:

I computed deps-before.txt and deps-after.txt with `ninja -t deps`.
This removes a common and key dependency on TemplateBase.h and
TypeLoc.h.
This also has the effect of breaking the ParentMap RecursiveASTVisitor
instantiation into its own file, which roughly halves the compilation
time of ASTContext.cpp (29.75s -> 17.66s). The new file takes 13.8s to
compile.
I left behind forwarding methods for getParents(), but clients will need
to include a new header to make them work:

I noticed that this parent map functionality is unfortunately duplicated
in ParentMap.h, which only works for Stmt nodes.

location in the source code. This patch refines how that location is chosen and
defines it as an explicit function so it can be shared by other Transformer
implementations.
This patch was inspired by a bug found by a clang tidy, wherein two changes were

The change in r368681 contains a (probably unintentional) behavioral change for
rewrite rules with a single matcher. Previously, the single matcher would not
need to be bound (`joinCaseMatchers` returned it directly), even though a final
DynTypeMatcher was created and bound by `buildMatcher`. With the new change, a
single matcher will be bound, in addition to the final binding (which is now in
`buildMatchers`, but happens roughly at the same point in the overall flow).
This patch simply duplicates the "final matcher" trick: it creates an extra
DynTypedMatcher for each rewrite rule case matcher, and unconditionally makes it
bindable. This is probably not the right long-term fix, but it does allow
existing code to continue to work with this interface.

lead to dangling references. This change converts all uses in the API of

Using a static function as a template parameter gets a bogus compile-time
error with Visual Studio 2017, prior to version 15.8. Our current
minimum-version requirement is a particular update to VS2015, and we
assume all Visual Studio 2017 versions are usable. This patch makes the
code buildable with older versions of VS2017, and can be reverted after
we upgrade the minimum version sometime in the future.
