Enrico Granata a3c8f042cd Add an accessor to ValueObject that determines if the object represents a base class, and also returns the depth of base-class-ness. For instance if one has class C : public B {} class B : public A {}, the value for A nested in B nested in C would be a base class of depth 2

Enrico Granata 5d84a69731 This is a fairly bulky patch, but a lot of it involves rearranging existing code
What it does:

- it introduces a concept of EncodingToType to the ObjCLanguageRuntime
The ObjC runtime has a "type encoding" feature that describes types as strings
The EncodingToType is a decoder for that format, making types out of type encoding strings
This feature already existed in some shape as we were using it to create method signatures out of the runtime, but this checkin extends the parser to support the full syntax, and moves things so that more parts of LLDB have access to this decoder

- it splits the ClassDescriptorV2 object to its own file, it was starting to grow too large

- it adds to the ClassDescriptor mechanism a notion of ivar storage; the ObjC runtime vends ivar information as well as method information
While ivar information is not ready for prime type (i.e. we don't want to add it to the runtime generated types for expression evaluator usage), there are potentially useful scenarios in which realizing ivar types could be useful. For now, the ClassDescriptor is going to hold ivar information directly. Existing code already allows describing ivars, this patch hooks those moving parts up so that one can actually ask a ClassDescriptor about ivars for the class it represents

and as a couple minor niceties:
- it makes it possible to retrieve the LLDB ClangASTContext that is associated to a clang::ASTContext
- it extends the ValueObject-to-ClassDescriptor API in the language runtime to deal correctly with base-class hierarchies

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith 33de00cf59 IR: Fix ConstantExpr::replaceUsesOfWithOnConstant()
Change `ConstantExpr` to follow the model the other constants are using:
only malloc a replacement if it's going to be used. This fixes a subtle
bug where if an API user had used `ConstantExpr::get()` already to
create the replacement but hadn't given it any users, we'd delete the
replacement.

This relies on r216015 to thread `OnlyIfReduced` through
`ConstantExpr::getWithOperands()`.

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith 170eb985da IR: Thread OnlyIfReduced through ConstantExpr::getWithOperands()
In order to change `ConstantExpr::replaceUsesOfWithOnConstant()` to work
like other constants (e.g., using `ConstantArray::getImpl()`), thread
`OnlyIfReduced` through as necessary. When `OnlyIfReduced` is false,
there's no functionality change. When it's true, if there's no constant
folding or type changes `nullptr` is returned instead of the new
constant.

`ConstantExpr::replaceUsesOfWithOnConstant()` will be updated to use the
"true" version in a follow-up commit.

Juergen Ributzka b46ea081ad Reapply [FastISel][AArch64] Add support for more addressing modes (r215597).
Note: This was originally reverted to track down a buildbot error. Reapply
without any modifications.

Original commit message:
FastISel didn't take much advantage of the different addressing modes available
to it on AArch64. This commit allows the ComputeAddress method to recognize more
addressing modes that allows shifts and sign-/zero-extensions to be folded into
the memory operation itself.

For Example:
  lsl x1, x1, #3     --> ldr x0, [x0, x1, lsl #3]
  ldr x0, [x0, x1]

  sxtw x1, w1
  lsl x1, x1, #3     --> ldr x0, [x0, x1, sxtw #3]
  ldr x0, [x0, x1]

Juergen Ributzka e3698ab6e3 Reapply [FastISel][X86] Add large code model support for materializing floating-point constants (r215595).
Note: This was originally reverted to track down a buildbot error. Reapply
without any modifications.

Original commit message:
In the large code model for X86 floating-point constants are placed in the
constant pool and materialized by loading from it. Since the constant pool
could be far away, a PC relative load might not work. Therefore we first
materialize the address of the constant pool with a movabsq and then load
from there the floating-point value.

Note: This was originally reverted to track down a buildbot error. Reapply
without any modifications.

Original commit message:
This mostly affects the i64 value type, which always resulted in an 15byte
mobavsq instruction to materialize any constant. The custom code checks the
value of the immediate and tries to use a different and smaller mov
instruction when possible.

Original commit message:
This change materializes now the value "0" from the zero register.

materialization is need at all.

Juergen Ributzka 4bf6c01cdb Reapply [FastISel] Let the target decide first if it wants to materialize a constant (215588).
Note: This was originally reverted to track down a buildbot error. This commit
exposed a latent bug that was fixed in r215753. Therefore it is reapplied
without any modifications.

I run it through SPEC2k and SPEC2k6 for AArch64 and it didn't introduce any new
regeressions.

Original commit message:
This changes the order in which FastISel tries to materialize a constant.
Originally it would try to use a simple target-independent approach, which
can lead to the generation of inefficient code.

On X86 this would result in the use of movabsq to materialize any 64bit
integer constant - even for simple and small values such as 0 and 1. Also
some very funny floating-point materialization could be observed too.

On AArch64 it would materialize the constant 0 in a register even the
architecture has an actual "zero" register.

On ARM it would generate unnecessary mov instructions or not use mvn.

This change simply changes the order and always asks the target first if it
likes to materialize the constant. This doesn't fix all the issues
mentioned above, but it enables the targets to implement such
optimizations.

Rafael Espindola 48af1c2a1a Don't own the buffer in object::Binary.
Owning the buffer is somewhat inflexible. Some Binaries have sub Binaries
(like Archive) and we had to create dummy buffers just to handle that. It is
also a bad fit for IRObjectFile where the Module wants to own the buffer too.

Keeping this ownership would make supporting IR inside native objects
particularly painful.

This patch focuses in lib/Object. If something elsewhere used to own an Binary,
now it also owns a MemoryBuffer.

This patch introduces a few new types.

* MemoryBufferRef. This is just a pair of StringRefs for the data and name.
This is to MemoryBuffer as StringRef is to std::string.
* OwningBinary. A combination of Binary and a MemoryBuffer. This is needed
for convenience functions that take a filename and return both the
buffer and the Binary using that buffer.

The C api now uses OwningBinary to avoid any change in semantics. I will start
a new thread to see if we want to change it and how.

If the user directly specifies --disable-aslr {true, false}, that setting will control whether the process is launched with ASLR disabled accordingly. Renato Golin dd6394d833 Small refactor on VectorizerHint for deduplication
Previously, the hint mechanism relied on clean up passes to remove redundant
metadata, which still showed up if running opt at low levels of optimization.
That also has shown that multiple nodes of the same type, but with different
values could still coexist, even if temporary, and cause confusion if the
next pass got the wrong value.

This patch makes sure that, if metadata already exists in a loop, the hint
mechanism will never append a new node, but always replace the existing one.
It also enhances the algorithm to cope with more metadata types in the future
by just adding a new type, not a lot of code.

This patch creates a HostInfo class, a static class used to answer
basic queries about the host platform. As part of this change,
some functionality is moved from Host to HostInfo, and relevant
fixups are performed in the rest of the codebase.

This is part of a larger effort to isolate more code in the Host
layer into platform-specific groups, to make it easier to make
platform specific changes for a particular Host without breaking
other hosts.
