David Bozier 6e01cd6795 Improve error message of FileCheck when stdin is empty
Summary: Replace '-' in the error message with <stdin>. This is also consistent with another error message in the code.

Joel E. Denny f471eb8e99 [FileCheck] Make FILECHECK_OPTS useful for its test suite
Without this patch, `FILECHECK_OPTS` isn't propagated to FileCheck's
test suite so that `FILECHECK_OPTS` doesn't inadvertently affect test
results by affecting the output of FileCheck calls under test. As a
result, `FILECHECK_OPTS` is useless for debugging FileCheck's test
suite.

In `llvm/test/FileCheck/lit.local.cfg`, this patch provides a new
subsitution, `%ProtectFileCheckOutput`, to address this problem for
both `FILECHECK_OPTS` and the deprecated
`FILECHECK_DUMP_INPUT_ON_FAILURE`. The rest of the patch uses
`%ProtectFileCheckOutput` throughout the test suite

Fixes PR40284.

Douglas Yung a493843372 Fixup test after r352704 since it changes how paths may be emitted.
On Unix/Mac OS X, normpath() returns the path unchanged (FileCheck), but
on case-insensitive filesystems (like NTFS on Windows), it converts the
path to lowercase (filecheck) which was causing the test to fail.

Joel E. Denny dc5ba317b1 [FileCheck] Implement -v and -vv for tracing matches
-v prints all directive pattern matches.

-vv additionally prints info that might be noise to users but that can
be helpful to FileCheck developers.

To maximize code reuse and to make diagnostics more consistent, this
patch also adjusts and extends some of the existing diagnostics.
CHECK-NOT failures now report variables uses. Many more diagnostics
now report the check prefix and kind of directive.

Justin Bogner 1b9f936f91 FileCheck: Add a flag to allow checking empty input
Currently FileCheck errors out on empty input. This is usually the
right thing to do, but makes testing things like "this command does
not emit some error message" hard to test. This usually leads to
people using "command 2>&1 | count 0" instead, and then the bots that
use guard malloc fail a few hours later.

By adding a flag to FileCheck that allows empty inputs, we can make
tests that consist entirely of "CHECK-NOT" lines feasible.
