The version information for Visual Studio is spread over multiple variables.
The newer Windows SDK has started making use of some of the extended versioning
variables that were previously undefined. Enhance our compatibility definitions
for these cases.
_MSC_VER is defined to be the Major * 100 + Minor. _MSC_FULL_VER is defined to
be Major * 10000000 + Minor * 100000 + Build. And _MSC_BUILD is the build
revision of the compiler.
Extend the -fmsc-version option in a compatible manner. If the value is the
previous form of MMmm, then we assume that the build number is 0. Otherwise, a
specific build number may be passed by using the form MMmmbbbbb. Due to
bitwidth limitations of the option, it is currently not possible to define a
revision value.
The version information can be passed as either the decimal encoded value
(_MSC_FULL_VER or _MSC_VER) or as a dot-delimited value.
The change to the TextDiagnostic is to deal with the updated encoding of the
version information.

If we lookup a path using its 'real' path first, we need to ensure that
when we run header search we still use the VFS-mapped path or we will
not be able to find the corresponding module for the header.
The real problem is that we tie the name of a file to its underlying
FileEntry, which is uniqued by inode, so we only ever get the first name
it is looked up by. This doesn't work with modules, which rely on a
specific file system structure. I'm hoping to have time to write up a
proposal for fixing this more permanently soon, but as a stopgap this
patch updates the name of the file's directory if it comes from a VFS

To differentiate between two modules with the same name, we will
consider the path the module map file that they are defined by* part of
the ‘key’ for looking up the precompiled module (pcm file).
Specifically, this patch renames the precompiled module (pcm) files from
cache-path/<module hash>/Foo.pcm
to
cache-path/<module hash>/Foo-<hash of module map path>.pcm
In addition, I’ve taught the ASTReader to re-resolve the names of
imported modules during module loading so that if the header search
context changes between when a module was originally built and when it
is loaded we can rebuild it if necessary. For example, if module A
imports module B
first time:
clang -I /path/to/A -I /path/to/B ...
second time:
clang -I /path/to/A -I /different/path/to/B ...
will now rebuild A as expected.
* in the case of inferred modules, we use the module map file that
allowed the inference, not the __inferred_module.map file, since the
inferred file path is the same for every inferred module.

Additional clarification from Uli for the background on _CALL_ELF:
"Historically GCC has provided various _CALL_... predefines depending on the
ABI currently being compiled for. (_CALL_SYSV,_CALL_AIXDESC, _CALL_DARWIN )
When we needed a new define for the current ABI, we decided on using _CALL_ELF
since the official name of the ABI is the OpenPower ElfV2 ABI, with the
current Linux ABI retro-actively being renamed the ELFv1 ABI
and so we decided on using _CALL_ELF to identify the Linux (+BSD etc.) ELF ABI,
with _CALL_ELF=1 for the v1 ABI and _CALL_ELF=2 for the v2 ABI.
(Note that this matches the gcc compiler switch -mabi=elfv1 vs. -mabi=elfv2)."
In code, a (_CALL_ELF==2) check will indicate when the ELFv2 ABI is
to be used. This is the desired default for the PPC64 LE target.

Prior to this change, none of the multi-character PPC constraints were handled

There were two issues with the original patch that have now been fixed.
1. We were memset'ing over a FileEntry in a test case. After adding a

2. I didn't pass the FileManager into the new compiler instance in

clear the module cache in the test.
Also, I changed the copy constructor for FileEntry, which was memcpy'ing
in a (now) unsafe way.
llvm-svn: 202539
A 'remark' is information that is not an error or a warning, but rather some
additional information provided to the user. In contrast to a 'note' a 'remark'
is an independent diagnostic, whereas a 'note' always depends on another
diagnostic.
A typical use case for remark nodes is information provided to the user, e.g.
information provided by the vectorizer about loops that have been vectorized.
This patch provides the initial implementation of 'remarks'. It includes the
actual definiton of the remark nodes, their printing as well as basic parameter
handling. We are reusing the existing diagnostic parameters which means a remark
can be enabled with normal '-Wdiagnostic-name' flags and can be upgraded to
an error using '-Werror=diagnostic-name'. '-Werror' alone does not upgrade
remarks.
This patch is by intention minimal in terms of parameter handling. More
experience and more discussions will most likely lead to further enhancements
in the parameter handling.

llvm-svn: 202439
This cleans up some constructors that would not be safe once FileEntry
owns the storage for its name. These were already suspect, since they
wouldn't work if the FileEntry had an open file descriptor. The only
user for these constructors was in UniqueFileContainer, which wasn't a
very useful abstraction anyway. So it and UniqueDirContainer have been
replaced with std::map<UniqueID, *>.
This change should not affect anything outside the FileManager.
llvm-svn: 202420
When true, sets the name of the file to be the name from
'external-contents'. Otherwise, you get the virtual path that the file
was looked up by. This will not affect any non-virtual paths, or fully
virtual paths (for which there is no reasonable 'external' name anyway).
The setting is available globally, but can be overriden on a per-file
basis.
The goal is that this setting will control which path you see in debug
info, diagnostics, etc. which are sensitive to which path is used. That
will come in future patches that pass the name through to FileManager.
llvm-svn: 202329
This allows the 'name' field to contain a path, like
{ 'type': 'directory',
'name': '/path/to/dir',
'contents': [ ... ] }
which not only simplifies reading and writing these files (for humans),
but makes it possible to easily modify locations via textual
replacement, which would not have worked in the old scheme.
E.g. sed s:<ROOT>:<NEW ROOT>

llvm-svn: 197442
An empty string for an ASM input constraint is invalid, and will crash
during clang CodeGen. Change TargetInfo::validateInputConstraint to
reject an empty string.

We already support using "r" on 64-bit values (a GPRPair is
allocated), but Sema doesn't know this yet so issues a warning. This
should fix it.

- krait processor currently modeled with the same features as A9.
- Krait processor additionally has VFP4 (fused multiply add/sub)
and hardware division features enabled.
- krait has currently the same Schedule model as A9
- krait cpu flag is not recognized by the GNU assembler yet,
it is replaced with march=armv7-a to avoid a lower march
from being used.

There seem to be quite a few references to the old macro __ARM_NEON__ on the
internet, so I don't think it's a good idea to remove it entirely (at least
yet), but the canonical name does not have the trailing underscores so we
should use that ourselves.
llvm-svn: 195353
We already have builtins that are only available in GNU mode, so this
mirrors that.

llvm-svn: 194615
Like GCC, this re-uses the 'f' constraint and a new 'w' print-modifier:
asm ("ldi.w %w0, 1", "=f"(result));
Unlike GCC, the 'w' print-modifer is not _required_ to produce the intended
output. This is a consequence of differences in the internal handling of
the registers in each compiler. To be source-compatible between the
compilers, users must use the 'w' print-modifier.
MSA registers (including control registers) are supported in clobber lists.

substitution failure, allow a flag to be set on the Diagnostic object,
to mark it as 'causes substitution failure'.
Refactor Diagnostic.td and the tablegen to use an enum for SFINAE behavior
rather than a bunch of flags.

This change fixes Richard's testcase for r193815. Now we include non-explicit
submodules into the list of exports.
The test failed previously because:
- recursive_visibility_a1.inner is not imported (only recursive_visibility_a1 is),
- thus the 'inner' submodule is not showing up in any of the import lists,
- and because of this getExportedModules() is not returning the
correct module set -- it only considers modules that are imported.
The fix is to make Module::getExportedModules() include non-explicit submodules
into the list of exports.
llvm-svn: 194018
This change makes Module::buildVisibleModulesCache() collect exported modules
recursively.
While computing a set of exports, getExportedModules() iterates over the set of
imported modules and filters it. But it does not consider the set of exports
of those modules -- it is the responsibility of the caller to do this.
Here is a certain instance of this issue. Module::isModuleVisible says that
CoreFoundation.CFArray submodule is not visible from Cocoa. Why?
- Cocoa imports Foundation.
- Foundation has an export restriction: "export *".
- Foundation imports CoreFoundation. (Just the top-level module.)
- CoreFoundation exports CoreFoundation.CFArray.
To decide which modules are visible from Cocoa, we collect all exported modules
from immediate imports in Cocoa:
> visibleModulesFro(Cocoa) = exported(Foundation) + exported(CoreData) + exported(AppKit)
To find out which modules are exported, we filter imports according to
restrictions:
> exported(Foundation) = filterByModuleMapRestrictions(imports(Foundation))
Because Foundation imports CoreFoundation (not CoreFoundation.CFArray), the
CFArray submodule is considered not exported from Foundation, and is not
visible from Cocoa (according to Module::isModuleVisible).

Enables the clang driver to begin targeting specific CPUs. Introduced a
"generic" CPU which will ensure that the optional FP feature is enabled
by default when it gets to LLVM, without needing any extra arguments.
Cortex-A53 and A-57 are also introduced with tests, although backend
handling of them does not yet exist.
llvm-svn: 193740
requires ! feature
The purpose of this is to allow (for instance) the module map for /usr/include
to exclude <tgmath.h> and <complex.h> when building in C++ (these headers are
instead provided by the C++ standard library in this case, and the glibc C
<tgmath.h> header would otherwise try to include <complex.h>, resulting in a
module cycle).
llvm-svn: 193549
Although we wire up a bit for v8fp for macro setting
purposes, we don't set a macro yet. Need to ask list
about that.

Clang uses UTF-16 and UTF-32 for its char16_t's and char32_t's
exclusively. This means that we can define __STDC_UTF_16__ and
__STDC_UTF_32__ unconditionally.
While there, define __STDC_MB_MIGHT_NEQ_WC__ for FreeBSD. FreeBSD's
wchar_t's don't encode characters as ISO-10646; the encoding depends on
the locale used. Because the character set used might not be a superset
of ASCII, we must define __STDC_MB_MIGHT_NEQ_WC__.

- We really shouldn't compute line numbers for every file that is asked if it's
the main file, it destroys the lazy computation.
- Invalid locations are no longer accounted to the main file, no other
functionality change.

Review: http://llvm-reviews.chandlerc.com/D1546.
I have picked up this patch form Lawrence
(http://llvm-reviews.chandlerc.com/D1063) and did a few changes.
From the original change description (updated as appropriate):
This patch adds a check that ensures that modules only use modules they
have so declared. To this end, it adds a statement on intended module
use to the module.map grammar:
use module-id
A module can then only use headers from other modules if it 'uses' them.
This enforcement is off by default, but may be turned on with the new
option -fmodules-decluse.
When enforcing the module semantics, we also need to consider a source
file part of a module. This is achieved with a compiler option
-fmodule-name=<module-id>.
The compiler at present only applies restrictions to the module directly
being built.

Intrinsics added shaintrin.h, which is included from x86intrin.h if __SHA__ is
enabled. SHA implies SSE2, which is needed for the __m128i type.
Also add the -msha/-mno-sha option.
