We were still using the Unix response file tokenizer for all driver
modes. This was difficult to get right in the beginning because there is
a circular dependency. The Driver class also can't officially determine
its mode until it can see all possible --driver-mode= flags, and those
flags could come from the response file.
Now we use the Windows parsing algorithm if the program name looks like
clang-cl, or if the --driver-mode=cl flag is present on the main command
line.

This patch adds ObjectFilePCHContainerOperations uses the LLVM backend
to put the contents of a PCH into a __clangast section inside a COFF, ELF,
or Mach-O object file container.
This is done to facilitate module debugging by makeing it possible to
store the debug info for the types defined by a module alongside the AST.

A PCHContainerOperations abstract interface provides operations for
creating and unwrapping containers for serialized ASTs (precompiled
headers and clang modules). The default implementation is
RawPCHContainerOperations, which uses a flat file for the output.
The main application for this interface will be an
ObjectFilePCHContainerOperations implementation that uses LLVM to
wrap the module in an ELF/Mach-O/COFF container to store debug info
alongside the AST.

Currently, when --serialize-diagnostics is passed this only includes
the diagnostics from clang -cc1, and driver diagnostics are
dropped. This causes issues for tools that use the serialized
diagnostics, since stderr is lost and these diagnostics aren't seen at
all.
We handle this by merging the diagnostics from the CC1 process and the
driver diagnostics into a single file when the driver invokes CC1.

We currently use a null FailingCommand when generating crash reports
as an indication that the cause is FORCE_CLANG_DIAGNOSTICS_CRASH, the
environment variable that exists to test crash dumps. This means that
our tests don't actually cover real crashes at all, and adds a more
complicated code path that's only used in the tests.
Instead, we can have the driver synthesize that every command failed
and just call generateCompilationDiagnostics normally.

This patch aims at fixing PR17239.
This bug happens because the /link (clang-cl.exe argument) is marked as
"consume all remaining arguments". However, when inside a response file,
/link should only consume all remaining arguments inside the response
file where it is located, not the entire command line after expansion.
The LLVM side of the patch will change the semantics of the
RemainingArgsClass kind to always consume only until the end of the
response file when the option originally came from a response file.
There are only two options in this class: dash dash (--) and /link.

The rewrite facility's footprint is small so it's not worth going to these
lengths to support disabling at configure time, particularly since key compiler
features now depend on it.
Meanwhile the Objective-C rewriters have been moved under the
ENABLE_CLANG_ARCMT umbrella for now as they're comparatively heavy and still
potentially worth excluding from lightweight builds.
Tests are now passing with any combination of feature flags. The flags
historically haven't been tested by LLVM's build servers so caveat emptor.

The clang -cc1as options are nearly a strict subset of -cc1. Instead of
duplicating the definitions and documentation, let's go ahead and share the
definitions in a similar way the current handling of combined driver and
frontend flags, eliminating some of the vestigial legacy surrounding the

Assertion failures call abort(), which return an exit code of 3 on
Windows. The 'not' utility has the same check.
Unfortunately, the crash-report.c test requires a shell, so it does not
run for me locally, so I can only test this manually.
There's still more work to be done here: we should generate a batch

This corrects long-standing misuses of LLVM's internal config.h.
In most cases the public llvm-config.h header was intended and we can now
remove the old hacks thanks to LLVM r210144.
The config.h header is private, won't be installed and should no longer be
included by clang or other modules.

All callers were passing in "a.out" or garbage so a sensible default works fine
here as a cleanup.
This also brings about the possibility of adapting the value based on the

For those playing at home this produced some fairly subtle behavior. The
sections created in InitMCObjectFileInfo were created without compressed
debug info (a mistake, but not necessarily /broken). Since these
sections were almost always referenced by the existing MCSection object,
this almost worked.
This got weird when we got to handling the relocations for a section.
See ELFObjectWriter::WriteSection where we compute the true section for
a relocation section by simply stripping the ".rela" prefix and then
looking up that section - doing so hit the compression codepath, looked
up .zdebug_blah and found a newly constructed empty section... thus,
things got weird.
This is untestable without a cross-project test (let me know if people
would prefer that to no testing).

The separate Xcode project generated for Clang is putting the clang
executables into the same location where the LLVM executables are
going. This is wrong, and breaks the Clang build because we try to
create clang++ and clang-cl symlinks in the wrong place and to the
wrong place.
As a stop-gap to get these builds working again, teach the symlink
generation to point into the LLVM executable directory instead.

This is second of the two steps to allow us to do this. The first was a
change to llvm-mc with revision 172630 to provide a method to set the
AT_producer string. This second step has the clang driver passing the value
of getClangFullVersion() via the new flag -dwarf-debug-producer when invoking
the integrated assembler on assembly source files. Then using the new
setDwarfDebugProducer() method to set the AT_producer string.

That commit added a new library just to hold the RawCommentList. I've
started a discussion on the commit thread about whether that is really
meritted -- it certainly doesn't seem necessary at this stage.
However, the immediate problem is that the AST library has a hard
dependency on the Comment library, but the dependencies were set up
completely backward. In addition to the layering violation, this had an
unfortunate effect if scattering the Comments library dependency
throughout the build system, but inconsistently so -- several parts of
the CMake dependencies were missing and only showed up due to transitive
deps or the fact that the target wasn't being built by tho bots.
It turns out that the Comments library can't (currently) be a well
formed layer *below* the AST library either, as it has an API that
accepts an ASTContext. That parameter is currently unused, so maybe that
was a mistake?
Anyways, it really seems like this is logically part of the AST --
that's the whole point of the ASTContext providing access to it as far
as I can tell -- so I've merged it into the AST library to solve the
immediate layering violation problems and remove some of the churn from
our library dependencies.

Previously, only diagnostics thrown by the cc1 process were
actually honoring the diagnostic options given on the command line,
like -Werror.
Reuse the existing code in Frontend currently used for cc1,
adjusting it to not interpret -Wl, linker flags as warnings.
Also fix a faulty test exposed by this change.
It wasn't actually testing anything, and was giving this warning:
clang-3: warning: argument unused during compilation: '-verify'
Which -Werror didn't turn into an error because it was output
by the driver, not the cc1 process, and diagnostic options
weren't parsed by the driver. And you couldn't see the warning
when running the test suite.
