Summary:
Targets often have instructions that can sign-extend certain cases faster
than the equivalent shift-left/arithmetic-shift-right. Such cases can be
identified by matching a shift-left/shift-right pair but there are some
issues with this in the context of combines. For example, suppose you can
sign-extend 8-bit up to 32-bit with a target extend instruction.
%1:_(s32) = G_SHL %0:_(s32), i32 24 # (I've inlined the G_CONSTANT for brevity)
%2:_(s32) = G_ASHR %1:_(s32), i32 24
%3:_(s32) = G_ASHR %2:_(s32), i32 1
would reasonably combine to:
%1:_(s32) = G_SHL %0:_(s32), i32 24
%2:_(s32) = G_ASHR %1:_(s32), i32 25
which no longer matches the special case. If your shifts and extend are
equal cost, this would break even as a pair of shifts but if your shift is
more expensive than the extend then it's cheaper as:
%2:_(s32) = G_SEXT_INREG %0:_(s32), i32 8
%3:_(s32) = G_ASHR %2:_(s32), i32 1
It's possible to match the shift-pair in ISel and emit an extend and ashr.
However, this is far from the only way to break this shift pair and make
it hard to match the extends. Another example is that with the right
known-zeros, this:
%1:_(s32) = G_SHL %0:_(s32), i32 24
%2:_(s32) = G_ASHR %1:_(s32), i32 24
%3:_(s32) = G_MUL %2:_(s32), i32 2
can become:
%1:_(s32) = G_SHL %0:_(s32), i32 24
%2:_(s32) = G_ASHR %1:_(s32), i32 23
All upstream targets have been configured to lower it to the current
G_SHL,G_ASHR pair but will likely want to make it legal in some cases to
handle their faster cases.
To follow-up: Provide a way to legalize based on the constant. At the
moment, I'm thinking that the best way to achieve this is to provide the
MI in LegalityQuery but that opens the door to breaking core principles
of the legalizer (legality is not context sensitive). That said, it's
worth noting that looking at other instructions and acting on that
information doesn't violate this principle in itself. It's only a
violation if, at the end of legalization, a pass that checks legality
without being able to see the context would say an instruction might not be
legal. That's a fairly subtle distinction so to give a concrete example,
saying %2 in:
%1 = G_CONSTANT 16
%2 = G_SEXT_INREG %0, %1
is legal is in violation of that principle if the legality of %2 depends
on %1 being constant and/or being 16. However, legalizing to either:
%2 = G_SEXT_INREG %0, 16
or:
%1 = G_CONSTANT 16
%2:_(s32) = G_SHL %0, %1
%3:_(s32) = G_ASHR %2, %1
depending on whether %1 is constant and 16 does not violate that principle
since both outputs are genuinely legal.

To support spilling/filling of scalable vectors we need a more generic
representation of a stack offset than simply 'int'.
For this we introduce the StackOffset struct, which comprises multiple
offsets sized by their respective MVTs. Byte-offsets will thus be a simple
tuple such as { offset, MVT::i8 }. Adding two byte-offsets will result in a
byte offset { offsetA + offsetB, MVT::i8 }. When two offsets have different
types, we can canonicalise them to use the same MVT, as long as their
runtime sizes are guaranteed to have the same size-ratio as they would have
at compile-time.
When we have both scalable- and fixed-size objects on the stack, we can
create an offset that is:
({ offset_fixed, MVT::i8 } + { offset_scalable, MVT::nxv1i8 })
The struct also contains a getForFrameOffset() method that is specific to
AArch64 and decomposes the frame-offset to be used directly in instructions
that operate on the stack or index into the stack.
Note: This patch adds StackOffset as an AArch64-only concept, but we would
like to make this a generic concept/struct that is supported by all
interfaces that take or return stack offsets (currently as 'int'). Since
that would be a bigger change that is currently pending on D32530 landing,
we thought it makes sense to first show/prove the concept in the AArch64
target before proposing to roll this out further.

ThreadSafeModule/ThreadSafeContext are used to manage lifetimes and locking
for LLVMContexts in ORCv2. Prior to this patch contexts were locked as soon
as an associated Module was emitted (to be compiled and linked), and were not
unlocked until the emit call returned. This could lead to deadlocks if
interdependent modules that shared contexts were compiled on different threads:
when, during emission of the first module, the dependence was discovered the
second module (which would provide the required symbol) could not be emitted as
the thread emitting the first module still held the lock.
This patch eliminates this possibility by moving to a finer-grained locking
scheme. Each client holds the module lock only while they are actively operating
on it. To make this finer grained locking simpler/safer to implement this patch
removes the explicit lock method, 'getContextLock', from ThreadSafeModule and
replaces it with a new method, 'withModuleDo', that implicitly locks the context,
calls a user-supplied function object to operate on the Module, then implicitly
unlocks the context before returning the result.
ThreadSafeModule TSM = getModule(...);
size_t NumFunctions = TSM.withModuleDo(
[](Module &M) { // <- context locked before entry to lambda.
return M.size();
});
Existing ORCv2 layers that operate on ThreadSafeModules are updated to use the
new method.
This method is used to introduce Module locking into each of the existing
layers.

The file collector class is useful for constructing reproducers by
creating a snapshot of the files that are accessed. Sometimes it might
also be important to construct directories that don't necessarily have files,
but are still accessed by some tool that we want to make a reproducer for.
This is useful for instance for modeling the behavior of Clang's header search,
which scans through a number of directories it doesn't actually access when
looking for framework headers. This commit extends the file collector to allow
it to work with paths that are just directories, by constructing them as the
files are copied over.

Summary:
This is an implementation of a directed graph base class with explicit
representation of both nodes and edges. This implementation makes the
edges explicit because we expect to assign various attributes (such as
dependence type, distribution interference weight, etc) to the edges in
the derived classes such as DDG and DIG. The DirectedGraph consists of a
list of DGNode's. Each node consists of a (possibly empty) list of
outgoing edges to other nodes in the graph. A DGEdge contains a
reference to a single target node. Note that nodes do not know about
their incoming edges so the DirectedGraph class provides a function to
find all incoming edges to a given node.

contribute upstream in order to implement Data Dependence Graph and
Program Dependence Graph.

Summary:
This patch is part of a patch series to add support for FileCheck
numeric expressions. This specific patch lift the restriction for a
numeric expression to either be a variable definition or a numeric
expression to try to match.
This commit allows a numeric variable to be set to the result of the
evaluation of a numeric expression after it has been matched
successfully. When it happens, the variable is allowed to be used on
the same line since its value is known at match time.
It also makes use of this possibility to reuse the parsing code to
parse a command-line definition by crafting a mirror string of the
-D option with the equal sign replaced by a colon sign, e.g. for option
'-D#NUMVAL=10' it creates the string
'-D#NUMVAL=10 (parsed as [[#NUMVAL:10]])' where the numeric expression
is parsed to define NUMVAL. This result in a few tests needing updating
for the location diagnostics on top of the tests for the new feature.
It also enables empty numeric expression which match any number without
defining a variable. This is done here rather than in commit #5 of the
patch series because it requires to dissociate automatic regex insertion
in RegExStr from variable definition which would make commit #5 even
bigger than it already is.

Summary:
Commit r365249 changed usage of FileCheckNumericVariable to have one
instance of that class per variable as opposed to one instance per
definition of a given variable as was done before. However, it retained
the safety check in setValue that it should only be called with the
variable unset, even after r365625.
However this causes assert failure when a non-pseudo variable is being
redefined. And while redefinition of @LINE at each CHECK line work in
the general case, it caused problem when a substitution failed (fixed in
r365624) and still causes problem when a CHECK line does not match since
@LINE's value is cleared after substitutions in match() happened but
printSubstitutions also attempts a substitution.
This commit solves the root of the problem by changing setValue to set a
new value regardless of whether a value was set or not, thus fixing all
the aforementioned issues.

Extract the sources to the GCD of the original size and target size,
padding with implicit_def as necessary.
Also fix the case where the requested source type is wider than the

Use an anyext to the requested type for the leftover operand to
produce a slightly wider type, and then truncate the final merge.
I have another implementation almost ready which handles arbitrary
widens, but I think it produces worse code in this example (which I
think is 90% due to not folding redundant copies or folding out
implicit_def users), so I wanted to add this as a baseline first.

It is possible that exit block has two predecessors and one of them is a latch
block while another is not.
Current algorithm is based on the assumption that all exits are dedicated
and therefore we can check only first predecessor of loop exit to find all unique
exits.
However if we do not consider latch block and it is first predecessor of some
exit then this exit will be found.
Regression test is added.
As a side effect of algorithm re-writing, the restriction that all exits are dedicated

The traits object is only used by a few methods. Deserializing a hash
table and walking it is possible without the traits object, so it
shouldn't be required to build a dummy object for that use case.
The TraitsT object used to be a function template parameter before
r327647, this restores it to that state.
This makes it clear that the traits object isn't needed at all in 1 of
the current 3 uses of HashTable (and I am going to add another use that
doesn't need it), and that the default PdbHashTraits isn't used outside
of tests.
While here, also re-enable 3 checks in the test that were commented out
(which requires making HashTableInternals templated and giving FooBar
an operator==).

On Windows, Posix integer file descriptors are a compatibility layer
over native file handles provided by the C runtime. There is a hard
limit on the maximum number of file descriptors that a process can open,
and the limit is 8192. LLD typically doesn't run into this limit because
it opens input files, maps them into memory, and then immediately closes
the file descriptor. This prevents it from running out of FDs.
For various reasons, I'd like to open handles to every input file and
keep them open during linking. That requires migrating MemoryBuffer over
to taking open native file handles instead of integer FDs.

Summary:
Diagnosing use of undefined variables takes place in
parseNumericVariableUse() and printSubstitutions() for numeric variables
but only takes place in printSubstitutions() for string variables. The
reason for the split location of diagnostics is that parsing is not
aware of the clearing of variables due to --enable-var-scope and thus
use of variables cleared in this way can only be catched by
printSubstitutions().
Beyond the code level inconsistency, there is also a user facing
inconsistency since diagnostics look different between the two
functions. While the diagnostic in printSubstitutions is more verbose,
doing the diagnostic there allows to diagnose all undefined variables
rather than just the first one and error out.
This patch create dummy variable definition when encountering a use of
undefined variable so that parsing can proceed and be diagnosed by
printSubstitutions() later. Tests that were testing whether parsing
fails in such case are thus modified accordingly.

The bitstream reader handles errors poorly. This has two effects:
* Bugs in file handling (especially modules) manifest as an "unexpected end of
file" crash
* Users of clang as a library end up aborting because the code unconditionally
calls `report_fatal_error`
The bitstream reader should be more resilient and return Expected / Error as
soon as an error is encountered, not way late like it does now. This patch
starts doing so and adopting the error handling where I think it makes sense.
There's plenty more to do: this patch propagates errors to be minimally useful,
and follow-ups will propagate them further and improve diagnostics.

File entries are defined in llvm::gsym::FileEntry. This class splits the file up into a directory and filename represented by uniqued string table offsets. This allows all files that are referred to in a GSYM file to be encoded as 1 based indexes into a global file table in the GSYM file.
Function information in stored in llvm::gsym::FunctionInfo. This object represents a contiguous address range that has a name and range with an optional line table and inline call stack information.
Line table entries are defined in llvm::gsym::LineEntry. They store only address, file and line information to keep the line tables simple and allows the information to be efficiently encoded in a subsequent patch.
Inline information is defined in llvm::gsym::InlineInfo. These structs store the name of the inline function, along with one or more address ranges, and the file and line that called this function. They also contain any child inline information.
There are also utility classes for address ranges in llvm::gsym::AddressRange, and string table support in llvm::gsym::StringTable which are simple classes.
The unit tests test all the APIs on these simple classes so they will be ready for the next patches where we will create GSYM files and parse GSYM files.

Summary:
These functions are documented as not modifying the offset argument if
the extraction fails (just like other DataExtractor functions). However,
while reviewing D63591 we discovered that this is not the case -- if the
function reaches the end of the data buffer, it will just return the
value parsed until that point and set offset to point to the end of the
buffer.
This fixes the functions to act as advertised, and adds a regression
test.

This change processes `OptionCategory`s and `SubCommand`s as they

Removing the `OptionCategory` cache saved 24 bytes, and removing

rather than two callbacks.
The asynchronous lookup API (which the synchronous lookup API wraps for
convenience) used to take two callbacks: OnResolved (called once all requested
symbols had an address assigned) and OnReady to be called once all requested
symbols were safe to access). This patch updates the asynchronous lookup API to
take a single 'OnComplete' callback and a required state (SymbolState) to
determine when the callback should be made. This simplifies the common use case
(where the client is interested in a specific state) and will generalize neatly
as new states are introduced to track runtime initialization of symbols.
Clients who were making use of both callbacks in a single query will now need to
issue two queries (one for SymbolState::Resolved and another for
SymbolState::Ready). Synchronous lookup API clients who were explicitly passing
the WaitOnReady argument will now need neeed to pass a SymbolState instead (for
'WaitOnReady == true' use SymbolState::Ready, for 'WaitOnReady == false' use
SymbolState::Resolved). Synchronous lookup API clients who were using default
arugment values should see no change.

The implementation is conceptually simple: We separate the LHS and
RHS into positive and negative components and then also compute the
positive and negative components of the result, taking into account
that e.g. only pos/pos and neg/neg will give a positive result.
However, there's one significant complication: SignedMin / -1 is UB
for sdiv, and we can't just ignore it, because the APInt result of
SignedMin would break the sign segregation. Instead we drop SignedMin
or -1 from the corresponding ranges, taking into account some edge
cases with wrapped ranges.
Because of the sign segregation, the implementation ends up being
nearly fully precise even for wrapped ranges (the remaining
imprecision is due to ranges that are both signed and unsigned
wrapping and are divided by a trivial divisor like 1). This means
that the testing cannot just check the signed envelope as we
usually do. Instead we collect all possible results in a bitvector
and construct a better sign wrapped range (than the full envelope).

Summary:
Terminology introduced by [[#]] blocks is confusing and does not
integrate well with existing terminology.
First, variables referred by [[]] blocks are called "pattern variables"
while the text a CHECK directive needs to match is called a "CHECK
pattern". This is inconsistent with variables in [[#]] blocks since
[[#]] blocks are also found in CHECK pattern yet those variables are
called "numeric variable".
Second, the replacing of both [[]] and [[#]] blocks by the value of the
variable or expression they contain is represented by a
FileCheckPatternSubstitution class. The naming refers to being a
substitution in a CHECK pattern but could be wrongly understood as being
a substitution of a pattern variable.
Third and lastly, comments use "numeric expression" to refer both to the
[[#]] blocks as well as to the numeric expressions these blocks contain
which get evaluated at match time.
This patch solves these confusions by
- calling variables in [[]] and [[#]] blocks as string and numeric
variables respectively;
- referring to [[]] and [[#]] as substitution *blocks*, with the former
being a string substitution block and the latter a numeric
substitution block;
- calling [[]] and [[#]] blocks to be replaced by the value of a
variable or expression they contain a substitution (as opposed to
definition when these blocks are used to defined a variable), with the
former being a string substitution and the latter a numeric
substitution;
- renaming the FileCheckPatternSubstitution as a FileCheckSubstitution
class with FileCheckStringSubstitution and
FileCheckNumericSubstitution subclasses;
- restricting the use of "numeric expression" to refer to the expression
that is evaluated in a numeric substitution.
While numeric substitution blocks only support numeric substitutions of
numeric expressions at the moment there are plans to augment numeric
substitution blocks to support numeric definitions as well as both a
numeric definition and numeric substitution in the same numeric
substitution block.

Summary:
It was supposed that Ref LazyCallGraph::Edge's were being inserted by
inlining, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Instead, it seems that
there was no test for a blockaddress Constant in an instruction that
referenced the function that contained the instruction. Ex:
```
define void @f() {
%1 = alloca i8*, align 8
2:
store i8* blockaddress(@f, %2), i8** %1, align 8
ret void
}
```
When iterating blockaddresses, do not add the function they refer to
back to the worklist if the blockaddress is referring to the contained
function (as opposed to an external function).
Because blockaddress has sligtly different semantics than GNU C's
address of labels, there are 3 cases that can occur with blockaddress,
where only 1 can happen in GNU C due to C's scoping rules:
* blockaddress is within the function it refers to (possible in GNU C).
* blockaddress is within a different function than the one it refers to
(not possible in GNU C).
* blockaddress is used in to declare a global (not possible in GNU C).
The second case is tested in:
```
$ ./llvm/build/unittests/Analysis/AnalysisTests \
--gtest_filter=LazyCallGraphTest.HandleBlockAddress
```
This patch adjusts the iteration of blockaddresses in
LazyCallGraph::visitReferences to not revisit the blockaddresses
function in the first case.
The Linux kernel contains code that's not semantically valid at -O0;
specifically code passed to asm goto. It requires that asm goto be
inline-able. This patch conservatively does not attempt to handle the
more general case of inlining blockaddresses that have non-callbr users
(pr/39560).

numeric expressions. This specific patch introduces regular numeric
variables which can be set on the command-line.
This commit introduces regular numeric variable that can be set on the
command-line with the -D option to a numeric value. They can then be
used in CHECK patterns in numeric expression with the same shape as
@LINE numeric expression, ie. VAR, VAR+offset or VAR-offset where offset
is an integer literal.
The commit also enable strict whitespace in the verbose.txt testcase to
check that the position or the location diagnostics. It fixes one of the
existing CHECK in the process which was not accurately testing a
location diagnostic (ie. the diagnostic was correct, not the CHECK).

Close the temporary file after the test is done using it.
If it is not closed and the file was created on NFS, it will cause the test
to fail. The problem happens in the cleanup process afterwards. It first
tries to delete the file but it is not really deleted. Afterwards, the
program fails to delete the directory containing the file, causing the whole
test to fail.

This patch changes the return type of sys::Process::getPageSize to
Expected<unsigned> to account for the fact that the underlying syscalls used to
obtain the page size may fail (see below).
For clients who use the page size as an optimization only this patch adds a new
method, getPageSizeEstimate, which calls through to getPageSize but discards
any error returned and substitues a "reasonable" page size estimate estimate
instead. All existing LLVM clients are updated to call getPageSizeEstimate
rather than getPageSize.
On Unix, sys::Process::getPageSize is implemented in terms of getpagesize or
sysconf, depending on which macros are set. The sysconf call is documented to
return -1 on failure. On Darwin getpagesize is implemented in terms of sysconf
and may also fail (though the manpage documentation does not mention this).
These failures have been observed in practice when highly restrictive sandbox
permissions have been applied. Without this patch, the result is that
getPageSize returns -1, which wreaks havoc on any subsequent code that was
assuming a sane page size value.

This patch is part of a patch series to add support for FileCheck
numeric expressions. This specific patch introduces the @LINE numeric
expressions.
This commit introduces a new syntax to express a relation a numeric
value in the input text must have with the line number of a given CHECK
pattern: [[#<@LINE numeric expression>]]. Further commits build on that
to express relations between several numeric values in the input text.
To help with naming, regular variables are renamed into pattern
variables and old @LINE expression syntax is referred to as legacy
numeric expression.
Compared to existing @LINE expressions, this new syntax allow arbitrary
spacing between the component of the expression. It offers otherwise the
same functionality but the commit serves to introduce some of the data
structure needed to support more general numeric expressions.

If the user passes a flag like `-version` to a program, it's more likely
they mean `--version` than `-version:`, since there's no parameter
passed. Hence, give delimited arguments a penalty of 1 if the user input

The motivation is that with this, lld-link can suggest "--version"

Background: A definition generator can be attached to a JITDylib to generate
new definitions in response to queries. For example: a generator that forwards
calls to dlsym can map symbols from a dynamic library into the JIT process on
demand.
If definition generation fails then the generator should be able to return an
error. This allows the JIT API to distinguish between the case where a
generator does not provide a definition, and the case where it was not able to
determine whether it provided a definition due to an error.
The immediate motivation for this is cross-process symbol lookups: If the
remote-lookup generator is attached to a JITDylib early in the search list, and
if a generator failure is misinterpreted as "no definition in this JITDylib" then
lookup may continue and bind to a different definition in a later JITDylib, which
is a bug.

lld-link used to write PDB files that DIA couldn't recover natvis
files from if:
- The global strings table was > 64kiB
- There were at least 3 natvis files
The cause was that the hash function for the /src/headerblock stream
was incorrect: It needs to be truncated to 16 bit.
If the global strings table was <= 64kiB, truncating to 16 bit is a
no-op, so this wasn't needed for small programs.
If there are only 1 or 2 natvis files, then the growth strategy in
HashTable::grow() would mean the hash table would have 2 buckets (for 1
natvis file) or 4 buckets (for 4 natvis files), and since the hash
function is used modulo number of buckets, and since 2 and 4 divide
0x10000, the missing `% 0x10000` is a no-op there too. For 3 natvis
files, the hash table grows to 6 buckets, which has a factor that's not
common with 0x10000 and the difference starts to matter.

Prior to this change, parsing of -D option was very loose: it assumed
that there is an equal sign (which to be fair is now checked by the

This patch adjusts APSInt to override isNegative, isNonNegative, and
isStrictlyPositive with implementations that consider whether the type

A large set of Clang OpenMP tests are affected. Without this patch,
these tests assume that `true` is not a valid argument for clauses

llvm-svn: 358855
Summary:
JITLink is a jit-linker that performs the same high-level task as RuntimeDyld:
it parses relocatable object files and makes their contents runnable in a target
process.
JITLink aims to improve on RuntimeDyld in several ways:
(1) A clear design intended to maximize code-sharing while minimizing coupling.
RuntimeDyld has been developed in an ad-hoc fashion for a number of years and
this had led to intermingling of code for multiple architectures (e.g. in
RuntimeDyldELF::processRelocationRef) in a way that makes the code more
difficult to read, reason about, extend. JITLink is designed to isolate
format and architecture specific code, while still sharing generic code.
(2) Support for native code models.
RuntimeDyld required the use of large code models (where calls to external
functions are made indirectly via registers) for many of platforms due to its
restrictive model for stub generation (one "stub" per symbol). JITLink allows
arbitrary mutation of the atom graph, allowing both GOT and PLT atoms to be
added naturally.
(3) Native support for asynchronous linking.
JITLink uses asynchronous calls for symbol resolution and finalization: these
callbacks are passed a continuation function that they must call to complete the
linker's work. This allows for cleaner interoperation with the new concurrent
ORC JIT APIs, while still being easily implementable in synchronous style if
asynchrony is not needed.
To maximise sharing, the design has a hierarchy of common code:
(1) Generic atom-graph data structure and algorithms (e.g. dead stripping and
| memory allocation) that are intended to be shared by all architectures.
|
+ -- (2) Shared per-format code that utilizes (1), e.g. Generic MachO to
| atom-graph parsing.
|
+ -- (3) Architecture specific code that uses (1) and (2). E.g.
JITLinkerMachO_x86_64, which adds x86-64 specific relocation
support to (2) to build and patch up the atom graph.
To support asynchronous symbol resolution and finalization, the callbacks for
these operations take continuations as arguments:
using JITLinkAsyncLookupContinuation =
std::function<void(Expected<AsyncLookupResult> LR)>;
using JITLinkAsyncLookupFunction =
std::function<void(const DenseSet<StringRef> &Symbols,
JITLinkAsyncLookupContinuation LookupContinuation)>;
using FinalizeContinuation = std::function<void(Error)>;
virtual void finalizeAsync(FinalizeContinuation OnFinalize);
In addition to its headline features, JITLink also makes other improvements:
- Dead stripping support: symbols that are not used (e.g. redundant ODR
definitions) are discarded, and take up no memory in the target process
(In contrast, RuntimeDyld supported pointer equality for weak definitions,
but the redundant definitions stayed resident in memory).
- Improved exception handling support. JITLink provides a much more extensive
eh-frame parser than RuntimeDyld, and is able to correctly fix up many
eh-frame sections that RuntimeDyld currently (silently) fails on.
- More extensive validation and error handling throughout.
This initial patch supports linking MachO/x86-64 only. Work on support for
other architectures and formats will happen in-tree.

This is more suitable than std:: alternatives in many cases:
- std::binary_search only indicates presence/absence
- upper_bound/lower_bound give you the opportunity to pick the wrong one
- all of the options have confusing names and definitions when your predicate
doesn't have simple "less than" semantics
- all of the options require iterators
- we plumb around a useless `value` parameter that should be a lambda capture
The API is inspired by Go's standard library, but we add an extra parameter as

Summary:
This patch is part of a patch series to add support for FileCheck
numeric expressions. This specific patch adds a new class to hold
pattern matching global state.
The table holding the values of FileCheck variable constitutes some sort
of global state for the matching phase, yet is passed as parameters of
all functions using it. This commit create a new FileCheckPatternContext
class pointed at from FileCheckPattern. While it increases the line
count, it separates local data from global state. Later commits build
on that to add numeric expression global state to that class.

Because CodeGen can't depend on GlobalISel, we need a way to encapsulate the CSE
configs that can be passed between TargetPassConfig and the targets' custom
pass configs. This CSEConfigBase allows targets to create custom CSE configs
which is then used by the GISel passes for the CSEMIRBuilder.
This support will be used in a follow up commit to allow constant-only CSE for

As motivated in D60598, this drops support for specifying both NUW and
NSW in makeGuaranteedNoWrapRegion(). None of the users of this function
currently make use of this.
When both NUW and NSW are specified, the exact nowrap region has two
disjoint parts and makeGNWR() returns one of them. This result doesn't
seem to be useful for anything, but makes the semantics of the function
fuzzier.

makeGuaranteedNoWrapRegion() is actually makeExactNoWrapRegion() as
long as only one of NUW or NSW is specified. This is not obvious from
the current documentation, and some code seems to think that it is
only exact for single-element ranges. Clarify docs and add tests to
be more confident this really holds.
There are currently no users of makeGuaranteedNoWrapRegion() that
pass both NUW and NSW. I think it would be best to drop support for
this entirely and then rename the function to makeExactNoWrapRegion().
Knowing that the no-wrap region is exact is useful, because we can
backwards-constrain values. What I have in mind in particular is
that LVI should be able to constrain values on edges where the
with.overflow overflow flag is false.

This is for D60460. computeForAddSub() essentially already supports
carries because it has to deal with subtractions. This revision
extracts a lower-level computeForAddCarry() function, which allows
computing the known bits for add (carry known zero), sub (carry known
one) and addcarry (carry unknown).
As we don't seem to have any yet, I've added a unit test file for
KnownBits and exhaustive tests for the new computeForAddCarry()
functionality, as well the existing computeForAddSub() function.

Summary:
The ModuleList stream consists of an integer giving the number of
entries in the list, followed by the list itself. Each entry in the list
describes a module (dynamically loaded objects which were loaded in the
process when it crashed (or when the minidump was generated).
The code for reading the list is relatively straight-forward, with a
single gotcha. Some minidump writers are emitting padding after the
"count" field in order to align the subsequent list on 8 byte boundary
(this depends on how their ModuleList type was defined and the native
alignment of various types on their platform). Fortunately, the minidump
format contains enough redundancy (in the form of the stream length
field in the stream directory), which allows us to detect this situation
and correct it.
This patch just adds the ability to parse the stream. Code for
conversion to/from yaml will come in a follow-up patch.

This extends D59959 to unionWith(), allowing to specify that a
non-wrapping unsigned/signed range is preferred. This is somewhat
less useful than the intersect case, because union operations are
rarer. An example use would the the phi union computed in SCEV.
The implementation is mostly a straightforward use of getPreferredRange(),
but I also had to adjust some <=/< checks to make sure that no ranges with
lower==upper get constructed before they're passed to getPreferredRange(),
as these have additional constraints.

The intersection of two ConstantRanges may consist of two disjoint
ranges. As we can only return one range as the result, we need to
return one of the two possible ranges that cover both. Currently the
result is picked based on set size. However, this is not always
optimal: If we're in an unsigned context, we'd prefer to get a large
unsigned range over a small signed range -- the latter effectively
becomes a full set in the unsigned domain.
This revision adds a PreferredRangeType, which can be either Smallest,
Unsigned or Signed. Smallest is the current behavior and Unsigned and
Signed are new variants that prefer not to wrap the unsigned/signed
domain. The new type isn't used anywhere yet (but SCEV will be a good
first user, see D60035).
I've also added some comments to illustrate the various cases in
intersectWith(), which should hopefully make it more obvious what is
going on.

Summary:
Reorder the condition code enum to match their encodings. Move it to MC layer so it can be used by the scheduler models.
This avoids needing an isel pattern for each condition code. And it removes
translation switches for converting between CMOV instructions and condition
codes.
Now the printer, encoder and disassembler take care of converting the immediate.
We use InstAliases to handle the assembly matching. But we print using the
asm string in the instruction definition. The instruction itself is marked
IsCodeGenOnly=1 to hide it from the assembly parser.
This does complicate the scheduler models a little since we can't assign the
A and BE instructions to a separate class now.
I plan to make similar changes for SETcc and Jcc.

Summary:
Strings in minidump files are stored as a 32-bit length field, giving
the length of the string in *bytes*, which is followed by the
appropriate number of UTF16 code units. The string is also supposed to
be null-terminated, and the null-terminator is not a part of the length
field. This patch:
- adds support for reading these strings out of the minidump file (this
implementation does not depend on proper null-termination)
- adds support for writing them to a minidump file
- using the previous two pieces implements proper (de)serialization of
the CSDVersion field of the SystemInfo stream. Previously, this was
only read/written as hex, and no attempt was made to access the
referenced string -- now this string is read and written correctly.
The changes are tested via yaml2obj|obj2yaml round-trip as well as a
unit test which checks the corner cases of the string deserialization
logic.

A block reachable from the entry block can't have any route to a block that's not reachable from the entry block (if it did, that route would make it reachable from the entry block). That is the intended performance optimization for isPotentiallyReachable. For the case where we ask whether an unreachable from entry block has a route to a reachable from entry block, we can't conclude one way or the other. Fix a bug where we claimed there could be no such route.
The fix in rL357425 ironically reintroduced the very bug it was fixing but only when a DominatorTree is provided. This fixes the remaining bug.
