This allows the following syntax:
void baz(__attribute__((nonnull)) const char *str);
instead of:
void baz(const char *str) __attribute__((nonnull(1)));
This also extends to Objective-C methods.
The checking logic in Sema is not as clean as I would like. Effectively
now we need to check both the FunctionDecl/ObjCMethodDecl and the parameters,
so the point of truth is spread in two places, but the logic isn't that
cumbersome.

several first-class attribute syntaxes we support, all of which are

As discussed on cfe-commits, we may want to revisit this if we start allowing

The MSVC ABI is rather finicky about the exact representation of it's
pointer-to-member representation. The exact position of when and where
it will go with one representation versus another appears to be when it
desires the pointer-to-member to be complete.
To properly implement this in clang, do several things:
- Give up on tracking the polymorphic nature of the class. It isn't
useful to Sema and is only pertinent when choosing CodeGen-time
details like whether the field-offset can be 0 instead of -1.
- Insist on locking-in the inheritance model when we ask our
pointer-to-member type to be complete. From there, grab the
underlying CXXRecordDecl and try to make *that* complete. Once we've
done this, we can calculate it's inheritance model and apply it using
an attribute.
N.B. My first bullet point is a lie. We will eventually care about the
specifics of whether or not a CXXRecordDecl is or is not polymorphic
because MSVC compatible mangling of such things depends on it. However,
I believe we will handle this in a rather different way.

where it is not the default behavior.
- It is completely unused, as far as we know.
- It is ABI-incompatible with non-zero-base shadow, which means all
objects in a process must be built with the same setting. Failing to
do so results in a segmentation fault at runtime.
- It introduces a backward dependency of compiler-rt on user code,
which is uncommon and complicates testing.
This is the Clang part of a larger change.

test the CC1 layer.
This actually uncovered that the test semes to no longer be passing for
the reasons intended. =[ The name of the test would lead me to believe
that it should be testing the semantics of noreturn in the static
analyzer.... but there are in fact no -verify assertions about noreturn
that i can find. And the noreturn checker is no longer in 'alpha.core'.
It is in 'core.builtins'. The test *does* have one assertion for a null
dereference warning. This *also* isn't in 'alpha.core', but the driver
inserts a pile of other checker packages, including 'core' which has
this warning.
So I have switch the RUN line to actually do the minimal thing that this
test currently exercises, but someone who works on the static analyzer
should probably look at this and either nuke it or move it to actually
check the noreturn behavior.

This is a follow-up to r199260. On ARM hosts, we were attempting to run

cover all non-x86 targets since we only support MS ABI on x86.
llvm-svn: 199280
This makes the C++ ABI depend entirely on the target: MS ABI for -win32 triples,
Itanium otherwise. It's no longer possible to do weird combinations.
To be able to run a test with a specific ABI without constraining it to a
specific triple, new substitutions are added to lit: %itanium_abi_triple and
%ms_abi_triple can be used to get the current target triple adjusted to the
desired ABI. For example, if the test suite is running with the i686-pc-win32
target, %itanium_abi_triple will expand to i686-pc-mingw32.

In an expression like "new (a, b) Foo(x, y)", two things happen:
- Memory is allocated by calling a function named 'operator new'.
- The memory is initialized using the constructor for 'Foo'.
Currently the analyzer only models the second event, though it has special
cases for both the default and placement forms of operator new. This patch
is the first step towards properly modeling both events: it changes the CFG
so that the above expression now generates the following elements.
1. a
2. b
3. (CFGNewAllocator)
4. x
5. y
6. Foo::Foo
The analyzer currently ignores the CFGNewAllocator element, but the next
step is to treat that as a call like any other.
The CFGNewAllocator element is not added to the CFG for analysis-based
warnings, since none of them take advantage of it yet.

Summary:
This makes us more compatible with MSVC 2012+ and fixes PR17748 where we
would give two tables the same name.
Rather than doing a fresh depth-first traversal of the inheritance graph
for every record's vbtables, now we memoize vbtable paths for each
record. By doing memoization, we end up considering virtual bases of
subobjects that come later in the depth-first traversal. Where
previously we would have ignored a virtual base that we'd already seen,
we now consider it for name mangling purposes without emitting a
duplicate vbtable for it.

CMake could find one in $PATH by default.
- ENABLE_ASSERTIONS obeys LLVM's.
* Use cases
a) With LLVM build tree
Assume llvm-config is in your build tree.
Everything should work as ever.
b) With *installed* LLVM
Assume distributions. The source tree can be optional.
b1) The source tree is provided on the location `llvm-config --src-root`
- Test utils, FileCheck &c., are imported and built in the new tree.
- Gtest is built in the tree if gtest library is not found.
- Lit is used in $(SRCROOT)/utils/lit/lit.py.
b2) The source tree is not provided
- clang and utilities can be built.
- All tests, unittests and check-clang are invalidated and not built.

We started by trying to deserialize decltype(func-param) in a trailing return
type, which causes the function parameter decl to be deserialized, which pulls
in the function decl, which pulls the function type, which pulls the same
decltype() in the return type, and then we crashed.

The alignment impact of the virtual bases apperas to be applied in
order, rather than up front. This patch adds the new behavior and
provides a test case.

Fixes <rdar://problem/15584219> and <rdar://problem/12241361>.
This change looks large, but all it does is reuse and consolidate
the delayed diagnostic logic for deprecation warnings with unavailability
warnings. By doing so, it showed various inconsistencies between the
diagnostics, which were close, but not consistent. It also revealed
some missing "note:"'s in the deprecated diagnostics that were showing
up in the unavailable diagnostics, etc.
This change also changes the wording of the core deprecation diagnostics.
Instead of saying "function has been explicitly marked deprecated"
we now saw "'X' has been been explicitly marked deprecated". It
turns out providing a bit more context is useful, and often we
got the actual term wrong or it was not very precise
(e.g., "function" instead of "destructor"). By just saying the name
of the thing that is deprecated/deleted/unavailable we define
this issue away. This diagnostic can likely be further wordsmithed
to be shorter.
llvm-svn: 197627
The problem here is more serious than the fix implies. Adding a field
to a class updates the triviality bits for the class (among other
things). Failing to require a complete type before adding the field
meant that these updates don't happen in the well-formed case where
the capture is an uninstantiated class template specialization,
leading the lambda itself to be treated as having a trivial copy
constructor when it shouldn't. Fixes <rdar://problem/15560464>.
llvm-svn: 197623
Move some of the verifier directives away from the end of the pragma line.
This ensures that the diagnostics relate to the trailing token being tested and
not the verifier comments which are themselves part of the token stream.

The recovery was failing due to a missing case in SkipUntil().
Also add back tests from r197553 that were reverted in the previous commit.
llvm-svn: 197598
These parser changes were redundant. The same or better recovery can be
achieved with a one-line fix to SkipUntil() due to land in the next commit.
This reverts commit r197553.

Right now clang produces the same DataLayout for all of them, but it could, for
example, add 'n' specifications when the end architecture is given.
No functionality change, this should just make future changes easier to read.
llvm-svn: 197549
This has no functionality change as clang adds explicit alignment info for
byval arguments. The only difference is that now the clang produced
DataLayout string for AArch64 is identical to the LLVM produced one.

Unlike Itanium's VTTs, the 'most derived' boolean or bitfield is the
last parameter for non-variadic constructors, rather than the second.
For variadic constructors, the 'most derived' parameter comes after the
'this' parameter. This affects constructor calls and constructor decls
in a variety of places.

We would previously emit redundant diagnostics for the following code:
struct S {
virtual ~S() = delete;
void operator delete(void*, int);
void operator delete(void*, double);
} s;
First we would check on ~S() and error about the ambigous delete functions,
and then we would error about using the deleted destructor.
If the destructor is deleted, there's no need to check it.
Also, move the check from Sema::ActOnFields to CheckCompleteCXXClass. These
are run at almost the same time, called from ActOnFinishCXXMemberSpecification.
However, CHeckCompleteCXXClass may mark a defaulted destructor as deleted, and
if that's the case we don't want to check it.

Instead, mark the module as unavailable so that clang errors as soon as
someone tries to build this module.
This works towards the long-term goal of not stat'ing the header files at all
while reading the module map and instead read them only when the module is
being built (there is a corresponding FIXME in parseHeaderDecl()). However, it
seems non-trivial to get there and this unblock us and moves us into the right
direction.
Also changed the implementation to reuse the same DiagnosticsEngine.
