Sander de Smalen 0f7bbbc481 Always emit error for wrong interfaces to scalable vectors, unless cmdline flag is passed.
In order to bring up scalable vector support in LLVM incrementally,
we introduced behaviour to emit a warning, instead of an error, when
asking the wrong question of a scalable vector, like asking for the
fixed number of elements.

This patch puts that behaviour under a flag. The default behaviour is
that the compiler will always error, which means that all LLVM unit
tests and regression tests will now fail when a code-path is taken that
still uses the wrong interface.

The behaviour to demote an error to a warning can be individually enabled
for tools that want to support experimental use of scalable vectors.
This patch enables that behaviour when driving compilation from Clang.
This means that for users who want to try out scalable-vector support,
fixed-width codegen support, or build user-code with scalable vector
intrinsics, Clang will not crash and burn when the compiler encounters
such a case.

This allows us to do away with the following pattern in many of the SVE tests:
  RUN: .... 2>%t
  RUN: cat %t | FileCheck --check-prefix=WARN
  WARN-NOT: warning: ...

The behaviour to emit warnings is only temporary and we expect this flag
to be removed in the future when scalable vector support is more stable.

This patch also has fixes the following tests:
 unittests:
   ScalableVectorMVTsTest.SizeQueries
   SelectionDAGAddressAnalysisTest.unknownSizeFrameObjects
   AArch64SelectionDAGTest.computeKnownBitsSVE_ZERO_EXTEND_VECTOR_INREG

 regression tests:
   Transforms/InstCombine/vscale_gep.ll

David Sherwood f5815105d2 [SVE] Remove reliance on TypeSize comparison operators in unit tests
The EXPECT_XY comparison functions all rely upon using the existing
TypeSize comparison operators, which we are deprecating in favour
of isKnownXY. I've changed all such cases to compare either the known
minimum size or the fixed size.

David Sherwood b8ce6a6756 [SVE][CodeGen] Add new EVT/MVT getFixedSizeInBits() functions
When we know that a particular type is always going to be fixed
width we have so far been writing code like this:

  getSizeInBits().getFixedSize()

Since we are doing this in quite a few places now it seems to make
sense to add a new helper function that allows us to replace
these calls with a single getFixedSizeInBits() call.

David Sherwood bafdd11326 [SVE] Replace / operator in TypeSize/ElementCount with divideCoefficientBy
After some recent upstream discussion we decided that it was best
to avoid having the / operator for both ElementCount and TypeSize,
since this could give the impression that these classes can be used
in the same way as basic integer integer types. However, division
for scalable types is a bit odd because we are only dividing the
minimum quantity by a value, as opposed to something like:

  (MinSize * Vscale) / SomeValue

This is why when performing division it's important the caller
first establishes whether the operation makes sense, perhaps by
calling isKnownMultipleOf() prior to division. The caller must now
explictly call divideCoefficientBy() on the class to perform the
operation.

David Sherwood f4257c5832 [SVE] Make ElementCount members private
This patch changes ElementCount so that the Min and Scalable
members are now private and can only be accessed via the get
functions getKnownMinValue() and isScalable(). In addition I've
added some other member functions for more commonly used operations.
Hopefully this makes the class more useful and will reduce the
need for calling getKnownMinValue().

* Explicit casts for several places where implicit integer sign

Graham Hunter b302561b76 [SVE][IR] Scalable Vector size queries and IR instruction support
* Adds a TypeSize struct to represent the known minimum size of a type
along with a flag to indicate that the runtime size is a integer multiple
  of that size
* Converts existing size query functions from Type.h and DataLayout.h to
  return a TypeSize result
* Adds convenience methods (including a transparent conversion operator
to uint64_t) so that most existing code 'just works' as if the return
  values were still scalars.
* Uses the new size queries along with ElementCount to ensure that all
supported instructions used with scalable vectors can be constructed
  in IR.

Chandler Carruth 2946cd7010 Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo
to reflect the new license.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.

Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

Craig Topper 2fa1436206 [IR][CodeGen] Remove dependency on EVT from IR/Function.cpp. Move EVT to CodeGen layer.
Currently EVT is in the IR layer only because of Function.cpp needing a very small piece of the functionality of EVT::getEVTString(). The rest of EVT is used in codegen making CodeGen a better place for it.

The previous code converted a Type* to EVT and then called getEVTString. This was only expected to handle the primitive types from Type*. Since there only a few primitive types, we can just print them as strings directly.
