The HandlerMap describes, to the runtime, what sort of catches surround
the try. In principle, this structure has to be emitted by the backend
because only it knows the layout of the stack (the runtime needs to know
where on the stack the destination of a copy lives, etc.) but there is
some C++ specific information that the backend can't reason about.
Stick this information in special LLVM globals with the relevant

namespace to not merge properly.
We have an invariant here: after a declaration reads its canonical declaration,
it can assume the canonical declaration is fully merged. This invariant can be
violated if deserializing some declaration triggers the deserialization of a
later declaration, because that later declaration can in turn deserialize a
redeclaration of that first declaration before it is fully merged.
The anonymous namespace for a namespace gets stored with the first declaration
of that namespace, which may be before its parent namespace, so defer loading
it until after we've finished merging the surrounding namespace.

Qualifiers are located next to the TypeDescriptor in order to properly
ensure that a pointer type can only be caught by a more qualified catch
handler. This means that a catch handler of type 'const int *' requires
an RTTI object for 'int *'. We got this correct for 'throw' but not for
'catch'.
N.B. We don't currently have the means to store the qualifiers because
LLVM's EH strategy is tailored to the Itanium scheme. The Itanium ABI
stores qualifiers inside the type descriptor in such a way that the
manner of qualification is stored in addition to the pointee type's
descriptor. Perhaps the best way of modeling this for the MS ABI is
using an aggregate type to bundle the qualifiers with the descriptor?
This is tricky because we want to make it clear to the optimization
passes which catch handlers invalidate other handlers.
My current thoughts on a design for this is along the lines of:
{ { TypeDescriptor* TD, i32 QualifierFlags }, i32 MiscFlags }
The idea is that the inner most aggregate is all that is needed to
communicate that one catch handler might supercede another. The
'MiscFlags' field would be used to hold the bitpattern for the notion
that the 'catch' handler does not need to invoke a copy-constructor
because we are catching by reference.

The MS ABI utilizes a compiler generated function called the "vector
constructor iterator" to construct arrays of objects with
non-trivial constructors/destructors. For this to work, the constructor
must follow a specific calling convention. A thunk must be created if
the default constructor has default arguments, is variadic or is
otherwise incompatible. This thunk is called the default constructor
closure.
N.B. Default constructor closures are only generated if the default
constructor is exported because clang itself does not utilize vector
constructor iterators. Failing to export the default constructor
closure will result in link/load failure if a translation unit compiled
with MSVC is on the import side.

headers even if they arrived when merging non-system modules.
The idea of this code is that we don't want to warn the user about
macros defined multiple times by their system headers with slightly
different definitions. We should have this behavior if either the
macro comes from a system module, or the definition within the module
comes from a system header. Previously, we would warn on ambiguous
macros being merged when they came from a users modules even though they
only showed up via system headers.
By surviving this we can handle common system header macro differences
like differing 'const' qualification of pointers due to some headers
predating 'const' being valid in C code, even when those systems headers
are pre-built into a system module.

of the changes:
1. Call ActOnFinishFunctionBody _after_ we parsed =default and
=delete specifiers. Saying that we finished the body before parsing
=default is just wrong. Changing this allows us to use isDefaulted

2. Check for -Wmissing-prototypes after we parsed the function body.
3. Disable -Wmissing-prototypes when the Decl isDeleted.

In the test case -Wmissing-prototypes (ignored) was the culprit, use
'int main' to suppress that warning so we see when this regresses.
Also move it into Sema/ as it's not testing any C++.

For crashes with a VFS (ie, with modules), the -isysroot flag is often
necessary to reproduce the crash. This is especially true if some

it seems better to be conservative.

Support for the QPX vector instruction set, used on the IBM BG/Q supercomputer,

handled as native vector types (similar to how Altivec vectors are handled on
mainline PPC systems). I've named this ABI variant elfv1-qpx, have made this

This adds support for copy-constructor closures. These are generated

This only warns on direct gotos and indirect gotos with a unique label

This isn't O(1), but goto statements are less common than continue, break, and

sense, and it should be pretty fast in practice.

llvm-svn: 231628
Since continue, break, return are much more common than __finally, this tries
to keep the work for continue, break, return O(1). Sema keeps a stack of active

statements then check if the current __finally scope (if present) is deeper
than then destination scope of the jump.

Instead of creating a copy on the stack just stash them in a private
constant global. This saves both the copying overhead and the stack
space, and gives the optimizer more room to constant fold.
This tries to make array temporaries more similar to regular arrays,
they can't use the same logic because a temporary has no VarDecl to be
bound to so we roll our own version here.
The original use case for this optimization was code like
for (int i : {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10})
foo(i);
where without this patch (assuming that the loop is not unrolled) we
would alloca an array on the stack, copy the 10 values over and

We used to save out and eagerly load a (potentially huge) table of merged
formerly-canonical declarations when we loaded each module. This was extremely
inefficient in the presence of large amounts of merging, and didn't actually
save any merging lookup work, because we still needed to perform name lookup to
check that our merged declaration lists were complete. This also resulted in a
loss of laziness -- even if we only needed an early declaration of an entity, we
would eagerly pull in all declarations that had been merged into it regardless.
We now store the relevant fragments of the table within the declarations
themselves. In detail:
* The first declaration of each entity within a module stores a list of first
declarations from imported modules that are merged into it.
* Loading that declaration pre-loads those other entities, so that they appear
earlier within the redeclaration chain.
* The name lookup tables list the most recent local lookup result, if there
is one, or all directly-imported lookup results if not.

Throwing a C++ exception, under the MS ABI, is implemented using three
components:
- ThrowInfo structure which contains information like CV qualifiers,
what destructor to call and a pointer to the CatchableTypeArray.
- In a significant departure from the Itanium ABI, copying by-value
occurs in the runtime and not at the catch site. This means we need
to enumerate all possible types that this exception could be caught as
and encode the necessary information to convert from the exception
object's type to the catch handler's type. This includes complicated
derived to base conversions and the execution of copy-constructors.
N.B. This implementation doesn't support the execution of a
copy-constructor from within the runtime for now. Adding support for
that functionality is quite difficult due to things like default
argument expressions which may evaluate arbitrary code hiding in the
copy-constructor's parameters.

This will not only allow LLVM to generate better code, but it will also allow us

To make matters worse the code in GetByteVectorType still defaulted to

function is defined when we got to the end of the TU (and when we got to the

causes unnecessary deserialization of every dynamic class in every compilation.
We now use a much simpler (and, in a modules build, vastly more efficient)

whether that function was in fact its class's key function. (If so, we need to
emit the vtable.)

For global reg lvalue - use regular store through global register.
For simple lvalue - use simple atomic store.
For bitfields, vector element, extended vector elements - the original value of the whole storage (for vector elements) or of some aligned value (for bitfields) is atomically read, the part of this value for the given lvalue is modified and then use atomic compare-and-exchange operation to try to atomically write modified value (if it was not modified).

OpenCL: handle shift operator with vector operands
Introduce a number of checks:
1. If LHS is a scalar, then RHS cannot be a vector.
2. Operands must be of integer type.
3. If both are vectors, then the number of elements must match.
Relax the requirement for "usual arithmetic conversions":
When LHS is a vector, a scalar RHS can simply be expanded into a
vector; OpenCL does not require that its rank be lower than the LHS.
For example, the following code is not an error even if the implicit
type of the constant literal is "int".
char2 foo(char2 v) { return v << 1; }
Consolidate existing tests under CodeGenOpenCL, and add more tests

1) It's too late to rebuild at this point, because we won't go through

This patch removes the huge blob of code that is dealing with
rtti/exceptions/sanitizers and replaces it with:
A ToolChain function which, for a given set of Args, figures out if rtti
should be:
- enabled
- disabled implicitly
- disabled explicitly
A change in the way SanitizerArgs figures out what sanitizers to enable
(or if it should error out, or warn);
And a check for exceptions/rtti interaction inside addExceptionArgs.
The RTTIMode algorithm is:
- If -mkernel, -fapple-kext, or -fno-rtti are passed, rtti was disabled explicitly;
- If -frtti was passed or we're not targetting the PS4, rtti is enabled;
- If -fexceptions or -fcxx-exceptions was passed and we're targetting
the PS4, rtti was enabled implicitly;
- If we're targetting the PS4, rtti is disabled implicitly;
- Otherwise, rtti is enabled;
Since the only flag needed to pass to -cc1 is -fno-rtti if we want to
disable it, there's no problem in saying rtti is enabled if we're
compiling C code, so we don't look at the input file type.
addExceptionArgs now looks at the RTTIMode and warns that rtti is being
enabled implicitly if targetting the PS4 and exceptions are on. It also
errors out if, targetting the PS4, -fno-rtti was passed, and exceptions
were turned on.
SanitizerArgs now errors out if rtti was disabled explicitly and the vptr
sanitizer was enabled implicitly, but just turns off vptr if rtti is
disabled but -fsanitize=undefined was passed.
Also fixed tests, removed duplicate name from addExceptionArgs comment,
and added one or two surrounding lines when running clang-format.
This changes test/Driver/fsanitize.c to make it not expect a warning when
passed -fsanitize=undefined -fno-rtti, but expect vptr to not be on.

The coverage mapping generation code previously generated a large
number of redundant coverage regions and then tried to merge similar
ones back together. This then relied on some awkward heuristics to
prevent combining of regions that were importantly different but
happened to have the same count. The end result was inefficient and
hard to follow.
Now, we more carefully create the regions we actually want. This makes
it much easier to create regions at precise locations as well as
making the basic approach quite a bit easier to follow. There's still
a fair bit of complexity here dealing with included code and macro
expansions, but that's pretty hard to avoid without significantly
reducing the quality of data we provide.
I had to modify quite a few tests where the source ranges became more
precise or the old ranges seemed to be wrong anyways, and I've added
quite a few new tests since a large number of constructs didn't seem

struct S {} s;
Foo S::~S() { s.~S(); }
What was happening here was that S::~S() was marked as invalid since its
return type is invalid, and as a consequence CheckFunctionDeclaration() wasn't
called and S::~S() didn't get merged into S's implicit destructor. This way,
the class ended up with two destructors, which confused the overload printer
when it suddenly had to print two possible destructors for `s.~S()`.
In addition to fixing the crash, this change also seems to improve diagnostics
