Sjoerd Meijer 35cf2f42dd [Driver][docs] Document option -mtune as a no-op.
This documents that option -mtune is accepted for compatibility with GCC,
currently it has no effect, and thus does not currently perform any CPU type
specific tuning.

Justin Hibbits 4ca2cad947 [PowerPC] Add clang -msvr4-struct-return for 32-bit ELF
Summary:

Change the default ABI to be compatible with GCC.  For 32-bit ELF
targets other than Linux, Clang now returns small structs in registers
r3/r4.  This affects FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD.  There is no change for
32-bit Linux, where Clang continues to return all structs in memory.

Add clang options -maix-struct-return (to return structs in memory) and
-msvr4-struct-return (to return structs in registers) to be compatible
with gcc.  These options are only for PPC32; reject them on PPC64 and
other targets.  The options are like -fpcc-struct-return and
-freg-struct-return for X86_32, and use similar code.

To actually return a struct in registers, coerce it to an integer of the
same size.  LLVM may optimize the code to remove unnecessary accesses to
memory, and will return i32 in r3 or i64 in r3:r4.

Bruno Cardoso Lopes d892eec710 Reapply: Make header inclusion order from umbrella dirs deterministic
Sort the headers by name before adding the includes in
collectModuleHeaderIncludes. This makes the include order for building
umbrellas deterministic across different filesystems and also guarantees
that the ASTWriter always dump top headers in the same order.

There's currently no good way to test for this behavior.

This was first introduced in r289478 and reverted few times because of
ASANifed test failures on open source bots (both from LLVM and Swift).

Finally reproduced the problem in a Linux machine and use std::sort as a
fix, since we are not dealing with POD-like types.

Haojian Wu 89d9912cbf [AST] dont invaliate VarDecl when the initializer contains errors.
Summary:
This patch contains 2 separate changes:
1) the initializer of a variable should play no part in decl "invalid" bit;
2) preserve the invalid initializer via recovery exprs;

With 1), we will regress the diagnostics (one big regression is that we loose
the "selected 'begin' function with iterator type" diagnostic in for-range stmt;
but with 2) together, we don't have regressions (the new diagnostics seems to be
improved).

Erik Pilkington 85cca945b4 [SemaObjC] Forbid storing an unboxed integer literal in an NSNumber
This fixes a common mistake (the 3 should be @3): NSNumber *n = 3. This extends
an existing check for NSString. Also, this only errs if the initializer isn't a
null pointer constant, so NSNumber *n = 0; continues to work. rdar://47029572

Sander de Smalen 06c980df46 [SveEmitter] Implement zeroing of false lanes
This implements zeroing of false lanes for binary operations,
where instead of merging into the first operand vector (_m)
a `select` is placed on the first input vector. This approach
easily translates to the use of the `zeroing movprfx` instruction.

This patch also adds builtins for svabd, svadd, svdiv, svdivr,
svmax, svmin, svmul, svmulh, svub and svsubr.

Sam McCall ee12edcb76 [Preamble] Allow recursive inclusion of header-guarded mainfile.
Summary:
This is guaranteed to be a no-op without the preamble, so should be a
no-op with it too.

This doesn't yet work for #ifndef guards, which are not recognized in preambles.

I can't for the life of me work out how to test this outside clangd.
The original reentrant preamble diagnostic was untested, I added a test
to clangd for that too.

Valeriy Savchenko 1f67508b7f [analyzer] Do not report CFError null dereference for nonnull params.
We want to trust user type annotations and stop assuming pointers declared
as nonnull still can be null. This functionality is implemented as part
of NonNullParamChecker because it already checks parameter attributes.
Whenever we start analyzing a new function, we assume that all parameters
with 'nonnull' attribute are indeed non-null.

Richard Smith 6bc7502385 When making modules transitively visible, don't take into account
whether they have missing header files.

Whether a module's headers happen to be present on the local file system
should make no difference to whether we make its contents visible when
importing another module that re-exports it. If we have an up-to-date
AST file that we can load, that's all that matters.

This fixes the ability to header syntax checking for modular headers in
C++20 mode (or in prior modes where -fmodules-local-submodule-visibility
is enabled but -fmodules is not).

Richard Smith fc76b4ad3d Rename IsMissingRequirement to IsUnimportable and set it for shadowed
modules too.

This more accurately reflects the semantics of this flag, as distinct
from "IsAvailable", which (in an explicit modules world) only describes
whether a module is buildable, not whether it's importable.

Richard Smith c8248dc3bb Change deprecated -fsanitize-recover flag to apply to all sanitizers, not just UBSan.
Summary:
This flag has been deprecated, with an on-by-default warning encouraging
users to explicitly specify whether they mean "all" or ubsan for 5 years
(released in Clang 3.7). Change it to mean what we wanted and
undeprecate it.

Also make the argument to -fsanitize-trap optional, and likewise default
it to 'all', and express the aliases for these flags in the .td file
rather than in code. (Plus documentation updates for the above.)

Raul Tambre 8e20516540 [CUDA] Define __CUDACC__ before standard library headers
libstdc++ since version 7 when GNU extensions are enabled (e.g. -std=gnu++11)
use it to avoid defining overloads using `__float128`.  This fixes compiling
with GNU extensions failing due to `__float128` being used.

Erich Keane f89abd6923 [SYCL] Update __builtin_unique_stable_name for other backends.
The CUDA backend (and other downstreams) have trouble with the tilde and
arrow delimiter, so replace these with 'm' (for macro) and '_'.  Since
these are in the normal lambda ID location, the format of these should
not conflict with anything else.

Erich Keane 61ba1481e2 Implement _ExtInt as an extended int type specifier.
Introduction/Motivation:
LLVM-IR supports integers of non-power-of-2 bitwidth, in the iN syntax.
Integers of non-power-of-two aren't particularly interesting or useful
on most hardware, so much so that no language in Clang has been
motivated to expose it before.

However, in the case of FPGA hardware normal integer types where the
full bitwidth isn't used, is extremely wasteful and has severe
performance/space concerns.  Because of this, Intel has introduced this
functionality in the High Level Synthesis compiler[0]
under the name "Arbitrary Precision Integer" (ap_int for short). This
has been extremely useful and effective for our users, permitting them
to optimize their storage and operation space on an architecture where
both can be extremely expensive.

We are proposing upstreaming a more palatable version of this to the
community, in the form of this proposal and accompanying patch.  We are
proposing the syntax _ExtInt(N).  We intend to propose this to the WG14
committee[1], and the underscore-capital seems like the active direction
for a WG14 paper's acceptance.  An alternative that Richard Smith
suggested on the initial review was __int(N), however we believe that
is much less acceptable by WG14.  We considered _Int, however _Int is
used as an identifier in libstdc++ and there is no good way to fall
back to an identifier (since _Int(5) is indistinguishable from an
unnamed initializer of a template type named _Int).

Dmitry Polukhin a7afb211dc [clang][AST] Support AST files larger than 512M
Summary:
Clang uses 32-bit integers for storing bit offsets from the beginning of
the file that results in 512M limit on AST file. This diff replaces
absolute offsets with relative offsets from the beginning of
corresponding data structure when it is possible. And uses 64-bit
offsets for DeclOffests and TypeOffssts because these coder AST
section may easily exceeds 512M alone.

This diff breaks AST file format compatibility so VERSION_MAJOR bumped.

Test Plan:
Existing clang AST serialization tests
Tested on clangd with ~700M and ~900M preamble files
check-clang with ubsan

Before this PR, `modernize-use-using` would transform the typedef in

The first one is missing the `template` keyword,
the second one has an extra `a::` scope. Both result
in compilation errors.

Bevin Hansson fd7a341861 [Fixed Point] Move the compassign LHS type correction a bit further down. NFCI.
Summary:
We can simplify the LHSTy correction for
fixed-point compassign by moving it below
the point where we know we have a compound
assignment.

Also, we shouldn't look at the LHS and RHS
separately; look at the computation result
type instead.

Looking at the LHS and RHS is also wrong
for compassigns with fixed and floating
point (though this does not work upstream
yet).

bd1976llvm 86478d3de9 [MC][ELF] Put explicit section name symbols into entry size compatible sections
Ensure that symbols explicitly* assigned a section name are placed into
a section with a compatible entry size.

This is done by creating multiple sections with the same name** if
incompatible symbols are explicitly given the name of an incompatible
section, whilst:

  - Avoiding using uniqued sections where possible (for readability and
    to maximize compatibly with assemblers).

  - Creating as few SHF_MERGE sections as possible (for efficiency).

Given that each symbol is assigned to a section in a single pass, we
must decide which section each symbol is assigned to without seeing the
properties of all symbols. A stable and easy to understand assignment is
desirable. The following rules facilitate this: The "generic" section
for a given section name will be mergeable if the name is a mergeable
"default" section name (such as .debug_str), a mergeable "implicit"
section name (such as .rodata.str2.2), or MC has already created a
mergeable "generic" section for the given section name (e.g. in response
to a section directive in inline assembly). Otherwise, the "generic"
section for a given name is non-mergeable; and, non-mergeable symbols
are assigned to the "generic" section, while mergeable symbols are
assigned to uniqued sections.

Terminology:
"default" sections are those always created by MC initially, e.g. .text
or .debug_str.

"implicit" sections are those created normally by MC in response to the
symbols that it encounters, i.e. in the absence of an explicit section
name assignment on the symbol, e.g. a function foo might be placed into
a .text.foo section.

"generic" sections are those that are referred to when a unique section
ID is not supplied, e.g. if there are multiple unique .bob sections then
".quad .bob" will reference the generic .bob section. Typically, the
generic section is just the first section of a given name to be created.
Default sections are always generic.

* Typically, section names might be explicitly assigned in source code
using a language extension e.g. a section attribute: _attribute_
((section ("section-name"))) -

Some minor fixes were required to LLVM's tests, for tests had been using
the old behavior - which allowed for explicitly assigning globals with
incompatible entry sizes to a section.

This fix relies on the ",unique ," assembly feature. This feature is not
available until bintuils version 2.35
(https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=25380). If the
integrated assembler is not being used then we avoid using this feature
for compatibility and instead try to place mergeable symbols into
non-mergeable sections or issue an error otherwise.

Dmitry Polukhin 30d5946db9 [clang][AST] Support AST files larger than 512M
Summary:
Clang uses 32-bit integers for storing bit offsets from the beginning of
the file that results in 512M limit on AST file. This diff replaces
absolute offsets with relative offsets from the beginning of
corresponding data structure when it is possible. And uses 64-bit
offsets for DeclOffests and TypeOffssts because these coder AST
section may easily exceeds 512M alone.

This diff breaks AST file format compatibility so VERSION_MAJOR bumped.

Test Plan:
Existing clang AST serialization tests
Tested on clangd with ~700M and ~900M preamble files

Gabor Marton e033ec291a [ASTImporter] Fix bug introduced in 2ba4e3a459
2ba4e3a459 (Move FPFeatures from BinaryOperator bitfields to Trailing
storage, D76384) introduced an assertion failure during CTU analysis.
The reason is that in ASTNodeImporter::VisitCompoundAssignOperator the
LHSType and the ResultType have been imported twice.
