Make DependencyFileGenerator a DependencyCollector as it was intended when
DependencyCollector was introduced. The missing PPCallbacks overrides are added to
the DependencyCollector as well.
This change will allow clang-scan-deps to access the produced dependencies without
writing them out to .d files to disk, so that it will be able collate them and
report them to the user.

Summary:
This patch applies a change similar to rC363069, but for SARIF files.
The `%diff_sarif` lit substitution invokes `diff` with a non-portable
`-I` option. The intended effect can be achieved by normalizing the
inputs to `diff` beforehand. Such normalization can be done with
`grep -Ev`, which is also used by other tests.
Additionally, this patch updates the SARIF output to have a newline at
the end of the file. This makes it so that the SARIF file qualifies as a
POSIX text file, which increases the consumability of the generated file
in relation to various tools.

Previously, we attempted to write out template parameters and specializations to their own array, but due to the architecture of the ASTNodeTraverser, this meant that other nodes were not being written out. This now follows the same behavior as the regular AST dumper and puts all the (correct) information into the "inner" array. When we correct the AST node traverser itself, we can revisit splitting this information into separate arrays again.

Using the -fdeclare-opencl-builtins option will require a way to
predefine types and macros such as `int4`, `CLK_GLOBAL_MEM_FENCE`,
etc. Move these out of opencl-c.h into opencl-c-base.h such that the
latter can be shared by -fdeclare-opencl-builtins and
-finclude-default-header.
This changes the behaviour of -finclude-default-header when
-fdeclare-opencl-builtins is specified: instead of including the full
header, it will include the header with only the base definitions.

Summary:
I've found that most often the proper way to fix this warning is to add
`static`, because if the code otherwise compiles and links, the function
or variable is apparently not needed outside of the TU.
We can't provide a fix-it hint for variable declarations, because
multiple VarDecls can share the same type, and if we put static in front
of that, we affect all declared variables, some of which might have
previous declarations.
We also provide no fix-it hint for the rare case of an `extern` function
definition, because that would require removing `extern` and I have no
idea how to get the source location of the storage class specifier from
a FunctionDecl. I believe this information is only available earlier in
the AST construction from DeclSpec::getStorageClassSpecLoc(), but we
don't have that here.

Device have to use the same mangling as the host for 128bit float types. Otherwise, the codegen for the device is unable to find the parent function when it tries to generate the outlined function for the target region and it leads to incorrect compilation and crash at the runtime.

Summary:
When a function argument or return type is a homogeneous aggregate
which contains an FP16 vector but the target does not support FP16
operations natively, the type must be converted into an array of
integer vectors by then front end (otherwise LLVM will handle FP16
vectors incorrectly by scalarizing them and promoting FP16 to float,
see https://reviews.llvm.org/D50507).
Currently the logic for checking whether or not a given homogeneous
aggregate contains FP16 vectors is incorrect: it only looks at the
type of the first vector.
This patch fixes the issue by adding a new method
ARMABIInfo::containsAnyFP16Vectors and using it. The traversal logic
of this method is largely the same as in
ABIInfo::isHomogeneousAggregate.

clangIndex depends on clangFrontend. r363626 adds a dependency from
clangFrontend to clangIndex, which creates a circular dependency.
This is disallowed by -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=on builds:
CMake Error: The inter-target dependency graph contains the following strongly connected component (cycle):
"clangFrontend" of type SHARED_LIBRARY
depends on "clangIndex" (weak)
"clangIndex" of type SHARED_LIBRARY
depends on "clangFrontend" (weak)
At least one of these targets is not a STATIC_LIBRARY. Cyclic dependencies are allowed only among static libraries.
Note, the dependency on clangIndex cannot be removed because
libclangFrontend.so is linked with -Wl,-z,defs: a shared object must
have its full direct dependencies specified on the linker command line.
In -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=off builds, this appears to work when linking
`bin/clang-9`. However, it can cause trouble to downstream clang library
users. The llvm build system links libraries this way:
clang main_program_object_file ... lib/libclangIndex.a ... lib/libclangFrontend.a -o exe
libclangIndex.a etc are not wrapped in --start-group.
If the downstream application depends on libclangFrontend.a but not any
other clang libraries that depend on libclangIndex.a, this can cause undefined
reference errors when the linker is ld.bfd or gold.
The proper fix is to not include clangIndex files in clangFrontend.

Clang interface stubs (previously referred to as clang-ifsos) is a new frontend
action in clang that allows the generation of stub files that contain mangled
name info that can be used to produce a stub library. These stub libraries can
be useful for breaking up build dependencies and controlling access to a
library's internal symbols. Generation of these stubs can be invoked by:
clang -fvisibility=<visibility> -emit-interface-stubs \
-interface-stub-version=<interface format>
Notice that -fvisibility (along with use of visibility attributes) can be used
to control what symbols get generated. Currently the interface format is
experimental but there are a wide range of possibilities here.

This adds a ConstantBuilder class that deals with incrementally building
an aggregate constant, including support for overwriting
previously-emitted parts of the aggregate with new values.
This fixes a bunch of cases where we used to be unable to reduce a

groundwork for emission of class constants with [[no_unique_address]]

The flag is useful when wanting to create .o files that are independent
from the absolute path to the build directory. -fdebug-prefix-map= can
be used to the same effect, but it requires putting the absolute path
to the build directory on the build command line, so it still requires
the build command line to be dependent on the absolute path of the build
directory. With this flag, "-fdebug-compilation-dir ." makes it so that
both debug info and the compile command itself are independent of the
absolute path of the build directory, which is good for build
determinism (in the sense that the build is independent of which
directory it happens in) and for caching compile results.
(The tradeoff is that the debugger needs explicit configuration to know
the build directory. See also http://dwarfstd.org/ShowIssue.php?issue=171130.2)

Often times, when an ArraySubscriptExpr was reported as null or
undefined, the bug report was difficult to understand, because the
analyzer explained why arr[i] has that value, but didn't realize that in
fact i's value is very important as well. This patch fixes this by

Summary:
With Split DWARF the resulting object file (then called skeleton CU)
contains the file name of another ("DWO") file with the debug info.
This can be a problem for remote compilation, as it will contain the
name of the file on the compilation server, not on the client.
To use Split DWARF with remote compilation, one needs to either
* make sure only relative paths are used, and mirror the build directory
structure of the client on the server,
* inject the desired file name on the client directly.
Since llc already supports the latter solution, we're just copying that
over. We allow setting the actual output filename separately from the
value of the DW_AT_[GNU_]dwo_name attribute in the skeleton CU.

When using ConstantExpr we often need the result of the expression to be kept in the AST. Currently this is done on a by the node that needs the result and has been done multiple times for enumerator, for constexpr variables... . This patch adds to ConstantExpr the ability to store the result of evaluating the expression. no functional changes expected.
Changes:
- Add trailling object to ConstantExpr that can hold an APValue or an uint64_t. the uint64_t is here because most ConstantExpr yield integral values so there is an optimized layout for integral values.
- Add basic* serialization support for the trailing result.
- Move conversion functions from an enum to a fltSemantics from clang::FloatingLiteral to llvm::APFloatBase. this change is to make it usable for serializing APValues.
- Add basic* Import support for the trailing result.
- ConstantExpr created in CheckConvertedConstantExpression now stores the result in the ConstantExpr Node.
- Adapt AST dump to print the result when present.
basic* : None, Indeterminate, Int, Float, FixedPoint, ComplexInt, ComplexFloat,
the result is not yet used anywhere but for -ast-dump.

Summary:
When a variable is named in a context where we can't directly emit a
reference to it (because we don't know for sure that it's going to be
defined, or it's from an enclosing function and not captured, or the
reference might not "work" for some reason), we emit a copy of the
variable as a global and use that for the known-to-be-read-only access.
This reinstates r363295, reverted in r363352, with a fix for PR42276:
we now produce a proper name for a non-odr-use reference to a static
constexpr data member. The name <mangled-name>.const is used in that
case; such names are reserved to the implementation for cases such as
this and should demangle nicely.

ARM has a special target feature called soft-float-abi. This feature is
special, since we get it passed to us explicitly in the frontend, but
filter it out before it can land in any target feature strings in LLVM
IR.
__attribute__((target(""))) doesn't quite filter these features out
properly, so today, we get warnings about soft-float-abi being an
unknown feature from the backend.
This CL has us filter soft-float-abi out at a slightly different point,
so we don't end up passing these invalid features to the backend.

Summary:
This test fails to link shared libraries because tries to run
a copied version of clang-check to see if the mock version of libcxx
in the same directory can be loaded dynamically. Since the test is
specifically designed not to look in the default just-built lib
directory, it must be disabled when building with
BUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON.
Currently only disabling it on Darwin and basing it on the

dependencies over a JSON compilation database
This commit introduces an outline for the clang-scan-deps tool that will be
used to implement fast dependency discovery phase using implicit modules for
explicit module builds.
The initial version of the tool works by computing non-modular header dependencies
for files in the compilation database without any optimizations
(i.e. without source minimization from r362459).
The tool spawns a number of worker threads to run the clang compiler workers in parallel.
The immediate goal for clang-scan-deps is to create a ClangScanDeps library
which will be used to build up this tool to use the source minimization and
caching multi-threaded filesystem to implement the optimized non-incremental
dependency scanning phase for a non-modular build. This will allow us to do
benchmarks and comparisons for performance that the minimization and caching give us

Fixes link errors with clang and the latest Visual C++ 14.21.27702
headers, which was reported as PR42027.
I chose to intentionally make these things linkonce_odr, i.e.
discardable, so that we don't emit definitions of these things in every
translation unit that includes STL headers.
Note that this is *not* what MSVC does: MSVC has not yet implemented C++
DR2387, so they emit fully specialized constexpr variable templates with
static / internal linkage.

Port emmintrin.h which include Intel SSE2 intrinsics implementation to PowerPC platform (using Altivec).
The new headers containing those implemenations are located into a directory named ppc_wrappers
which has higher priority when the platform is PowerPC on Linux. They are mainly developed by Steven Munroe,
with contributions from Paul Clarke, Bill Schmidt, Jinsong Ji and Zixuan Wu.

According to System V i386 ABI: the __m64 type paramater and return
value are passed by MMX registers. But current implementation treats
__m64 as i64 which results in parameter passing by stack and returning
by EDX and EAX.

Summary:
In most cases the FriendDecl contains the declaration of the befriended
class as a child node, so it is discovered during the recursive
visitation. However, there are cases when the befriended class is not a
child, thus it must be fetched explicitly from the FriendDecl, and only
then can we add it to the lookup table.
(Note, this does affect only CTU and does not affect LLDB, because we
cannot and do not use the ASTImporterLookupTable in LLDB.)

Functions using stdcall, fastcall, or vectorcall with C linkage mangle
in the size of the parameter pack. Calculating the size of the pack
requires the parameter types to complete, which may require template
instantiation.
Previously, we would crash during IRgen when requesting the size of
incomplete or uninstantiated types, as in this reduced example:

The recently added cooperlake CPU has made our already ugly switch statement even worse. There's a CPU exclusion list around the bf16 feature in the cooper lake block. I worry that we'll have to keep adding new CPUs to that until bf16 intercepts a client space CPU. We have several other exclusion lists in other parts of the switch due to skylakeserver, cascadelake, and cooperlake not having sgx. Another for cannonlake not having clwb but having all other features from skx.
This removes all these special ifs at the cost of some duplication of features and a goto. I've copied all of the skx features into either cannonlake or icelakeclient(for clwb). And pulled sklyakeserver, cascadelake, and cooperlake out of the main inheritance chain into their own chain. At the end of skylakeserver we merge back into the main chain at skylakeclient but below sgx. I think this is at least easier to follow.

Summary:
We're using the clang static analyzer together with a number of
custom analyses in our CI system to ensure that certain invariants
are statiesfied for by the code every commit. Unfortunately, there
currently doesn't seem to be a good way to determine whether any
analyzer warnings were emitted, other than parsing clang's output
(or using scan-build, which then in turn parses clang's output).
As a simpler mechanism, simply add a `-analyzer-werror` flag to CC1
that causes the analyzer to emit its warnings as errors instead.
I briefly tried to have this be `Werror=analyzer` and make it go
through that machinery instead, but that seemed more trouble than
it was worth in terms of conflicting with options to the actual build
and special cases that would be required to circumvent the analyzers
usual attempts to quiet non-analyzer warnings. This is simple and it
works well.

Summary:
It is useful to build with _XOPEN_SOURCE defined on AIX, enabling X/Open
and POSIX compatibility mode, to work around stray macros and other
bugs in the headers provided by the system and build compiler.
This patch adds the config to cmake to build with _XOPEN_SOURCE defined
on AIX with a few exceptions. Google Test internals require access to
platform specific thread info constructs on AIX so in that case we build
with _ALL_SOURCE defined instead. Libclang also uses header which needs
_ALL_SOURCE on AIX so we leave that as is as well.
We also add building on AIX with the large file API and doing CMake
header checks with X/OPEN definitions so the results are consistent with
the environment that will be present in the build.

Change D60691 caused some knock-on failures that weren't caught by the
existing tests. Firstly, selecting a CPU that should have had a
restricted FPU (e.g. `-mcpu=cortex-m4`, which should have 16 d-regs
and no double precision) could give the unrestricted version, because
`ARM::getFPUFeatures` returned a list of features including subtracted
ones (here `-fp64`,`-d32`), but `ARMTargetInfo::initFeatureMap` threw
away all the ones that didn't start with `+`. Secondly, the
preprocessor macros didn't reliably match the actual compilation
settings: for example, `-mfpu=softvfp` could still set `__ARM_FP` as
if hardware FP was available, because the list of features on the cc1
command line would include things like `+vfp4`,`-vfp4d16` and clang
didn't realise that one of those cancelled out the other.
I've fixed both of these issues by rewriting `ARM::getFPUFeatures` so
that it returns a list that enables every FP-related feature
compatible with the selected FPU and disables every feature not
compatible, which is more verbose but means clang doesn't have to
understand the dependency relationships between the backend features.
Meanwhile, `ARMTargetInfo::handleTargetFeatures` is testing for all
the various forms of the FP feature names, so that it won't miss cases
where it should have set `HW_FP` to feed into feature test macros.
That in turn caused an ordering problem when handling `-mcpu=foo+bar`
together with `-mfpu=something_that_turns_off_bar`. To fix that, I've
arranged that the `+bar` suffixes on the end of `-mcpu` and `-march`
cause feature names to be put into a separate vector which is
concatenated after the output of `getFPUFeatures`.
Another side effect of all this is to fix a bug where `clang -target
armv8-eabi` by itself would fail to set `__ARM_FEATURE_FMA`, even
though `armv8` (aka Arm v8-A) implies FP-Armv8 which has FMA. That was
because `HW_FP` was being set to a value including only the `FPARMV8`
bit, but that feature test macro was testing only the `VFP4FPU` bit.
Now `HW_FP` ends up with all the bits set, so it gives the right
answer.
Changes to tests included in this patch:
* `arm-target-features.c`: I had to change basically all the expected
results. (The Cortex-M4 test in there should function as a
regression test for the accidental double-precision bug.)
* `arm-mfpu.c`, `armv8.1m.main.c`: switched to using `CHECK-DAG`
everywhere so that those tests are no longer sensitive to the order
of cc1 feature options on the command line.
* `arm-acle-6.5.c`: been updated to expect the right answer to that
FMA test.
* `Preprocessor/arm-target-features.c`: added a regression test for
the `mfpu=softvfp` issue.

when pointers become opaque and no longer have an element type the
information will still be present in IR.

As reported in https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42113, there are a
number of locations in Clang where it is assumed that exception
specifications are only valid in C++ mode. Since the original
justification for the NoThrow Exception Specifier Type was C++ related,
this patch just makes C mode use the attribute-based nothrow handling.
Additionally, I noticed that the handling of non-prototype functions
regressed the behavior of the nothrow attribute, in part because it is
was listed in the function type macro(which I did in the previous
patch). In reality, it should only be doing so in a conditional nature,
so this patch removes it there and puts it directly in the switch to be
handled correctly.

Now, when clang processes an argument of the form "-march=foo+x+y+z",
then instead of calling getArchExtFeature() for each of the extension
names "x", "y", "z" and appending the returned string to its list of
low-level subtarget features, it will call appendArchExtFeatures()
which does the appending itself.
The difference is that appendArchExtFeatures can add _more_ than one
low-level feature name to the output feature list if it has to, and
also, it gets told some information about what base architecture and
CPU the extension is going to go with, which means that "+fp" can now
mean something different for different CPUs. Namely, "+fp" now selects
whatever the _default_ FPU is for the selected CPU and/or
architecture, as defined in the ARM_ARCH or ARM_CPU_NAME macros in
ARMTargetParser.def.
On the clang side, I adjust DecodeARMFeatures to call the new
appendArchExtFeatures function in place of getArchExtFeature. This
means DecodeARMFeatures needs to be passed a CPU name and an ArchKind,
which meant changing its call sites to make those available, and also
sawing getLLVMArchSuffixForARM in half so that you can get an ArchKind
enum value out of it instead of a string.
Also, I add support here for the extension name "+fp.dp", which will
automatically look through the FPU list for something that looks just
like the default FPU except for also supporting double precision.

Part 2 (the Clang portion) of D59881.
This patch (first of two patches) enables the vectorizer to recognize the
IBM MASS vector library routines. This patch specifically adds support for
recognizing the -vector-library=MASSV option, and defines mappings from IEEE
standard scalar math functions to generic PowerPC MASS vector counterparts.
For instance, the generic PowerPC MASS vector entry for double-precision
cbrt function is __cbrtd2_massv.
The second patch will further lower the generic PowerPC vector entries to
PowerPC subtarget-specific entries.
For instance, the PowerPC generic entry cbrtd2_massv is lowered to
cbrtd2_P9 for Power9 subtarget.
The overall support for MASS vector library is presented as such in two patches
for ease of review.
