Mariusz Ceier 9383e9c1e6 Fix lld macho standalone build by including llvm/Config/llvm-config.h instead of llvm/Config/config.h
lld/MachO/Driver.cpp and lld/MachO/SyntheticSections.cpp include
llvm/Config/config.h which doesn't exist when building standalone lld.

This patch replaces llvm/Config/config.h include with llvm/Config/llvm-config.h
just like it is in lld/ELF/Driver.cpp and HAVE_LIBXAR with LLVM_HAVE_LIXAR and
moves LLVM_HAVE_LIBXAR from config.h to llvm-config.h

Also it adds LLVM_HAVE_LIBXAR to LLVMConfig.cmake and links liblldMachO2.so
with XAR_LIB if LLVM_HAVE_LIBXAR is set.

Jez Ng 982e3c0510 [lld-macho] Sibling N_SO symbols must have the empty string
We had been giving them a string index of zero, which actually corresponds to a
string with a single space due to {D89639}.

This was far from obvious in the old test because llvm-nm doesn't quote the
symbol names, making the empty string look identical to a string of a single
space. `dsymutil -s` quotes its strings, so I've changed the test accordingly.

Fixes llvm.org/PR48714. Thanks @clayborg for the tips!

Stella Stamenova ed98676fa4 Support multi-configuration generators correctly in several config files
Multi-configuration generators (such as Visual Studio and Xcode) allow the specification of a build flavor at build time instead of config time, so the lit configuration files need to support that - and they do for the most part. There are several places that had one of two issues (or both!):

1) Paths had %(build_mode)s set up, but then not configured, resulting in values that would not work correctly e.g. D:/llvm-build/%(build_mode)s/bin/dsymutil.exe
2) Paths did not have %(build_mode)s set up, but instead contained $(Configuration) (which is the value for Visual Studio at configuration time, for Xcode they would have had the equivalent) e.g. "D:/llvm-build/$(Configuration)/lib".

This seems to indicate that we still have a lot of fragility in the configurations, but also that a number of these paths are never used (at least on Windows) since the errors appear to have been there a while.

This patch fixes the configurations and it has been tested with Ninja and Visual Studio to generate the correct paths. We should consider removing some of these settings altogether.

Fangrui Song bcea3a7a28 Add test utility 'split-file'
See https://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2020-July/143373.html
"[llvm-dev] Multiple documents in one test file" for some discussions.

This patch has explored several alternatives. The current semantics are similar to
what @dblaikie proposed.
`split-file filename output` splits the input file into multiple parts separated by
regex `^(.|//)--- filename` and write each part to the file `output/filename`
(`filename` can include path separators).

Use case A (organizing input of different formats (e.g. linker
script+assembly) in one file).

```
# RUN: split-file %s %t
# RUN: llvm-mc %t/asm -o %t.o
# RUN: ld.lld -T %t/lds %t.o -o %t
This is sometimes better than the %S/Inputs/ approach because the user
can see the auxiliary files immediately and don't have to open another file.
# asm
...
# lds
...
```

Use case B (for utilities which don't have built-in input splitting
feature):

```
// RUN: split-file %s %t
// RUN: llc < %t/1.ll | FileCheck %s --check-prefix=CASE1
// RUN: llc < %t/2.ll | FileCheck %s --check-prefix=CASE2
Combing tests prudently can improve readability.
For example, when testing parsing errors if the recovery mechanism isn't possible,
grouping the tests in one file can more readily see test coverage/strategy.
//--- 1.ll
...
//--- 2.ll
...
```

Since this is a new utility, there is no git history concerns for
UpperCase variable names. I use lowerCase variable names like mlir/lld.

"[llvm-dev] Multiple documents in one test file" for some discussions.

`extract part filename` splits the input file into multiple parts separated by
regex `^(.|//)--- ` and extract the specified part to stdout or the
output file (if specified).

Jez Ng 7bbdbacd00 [lld-macho] Use export trie instead of symtab when linking against dylibs
Summary:
This allows us to link against stripped dylibs. Moreover, it's simply
more correct: The symbol table includes symbols that the dylib uses but
doesn't export.

This temporarily regresses our ability to do lazy symbol binding because
dyld_stub_binder isn't in libSystem's export trie. Rather, it is in one
of the sub-libraries libSystem re-exports. (This doesn't affect our
tests since we are mocking out dyld_stub_binder there.) A follow-up diff
will address this by adding support for sub-libraries.

Nico Weber af6bc65ddf lld-link: Reject more than one resource .obj file
Users are exepcted to pass all .res files to the linker, which then
merges all the resource in all .res files into a tree structure and then
converts the final tree structure to a .obj file with .rsrc$01 and
.rsrc$02 sections and then links that.

If the user instead passes several .obj files containing such resources,
the correct thing to do would be to have custom code to merge the trees
in the resource sections instead of doing normal section merging -- but
link.exe rejects if multiple resource obj files are passed in with
LNK4078, so let lld-link do that too instead of silently writing broken
.rsrc sections in that case.

The only real way to run into this is if users manually convert .res
files to .obj files by running cvtres and then handing the resulting
.obj files to lld-link instead, which in practice likely never happens.

(lld-link is slightly stricter than link.exe now: If link.exe is passed
one .obj file created by cvtres, and a .res file, for some reason it
just emits a warning instead of an error and outputs strange looking
data. lld-link now errors out on mixed input like this.)

One way users could accidentally run into this is the following
scenario: If a .res file is passed to lib.exe, then lib.exe calls
cvtres.exe on the .res file before putting it in the output .lib.
(llvm-lib currently doesn't do this.)
link.exe's /wholearchive seems to only add obj files referenced from the
static library index, but lld-link current really adds all files in the
archive. So if lld-link /wholearchive is used with .lib files produced
by lib.exe and .res files were among the files handed to lib.exe, we
previously silently produced invalid output, but now we error out.

link.exe's /wholearchive semantics on the other hand mean that it
wouldn't load the resource object files from the .lib file at all.
Since this scenario is probably still an unlikely corner case,
the difference in behavior here seems fine -- and lld-link might have to
change to use link.exe's /wholearchive semantics in the future anyways.

Vaguely related to PR42180.
