Hal Finkel c07e19b2c1 Add a loop's debug location to its llvm.loop metadata
Getting accurate locations for loops is important, because those locations are
used by the frontend to generate optimization remarks. Currently, optimization
remarks for loops often appear on the wrong line, often the first line of the
loop body instead of the loop itself. This is confusing because that line might
itself be another loop, or might be somewhere else completely if the body was
an inlined function call. This happens because of the way we find the loop's
starting location. First, we look for a preheader, and if we find one, and its
terminator has a debug location, then we use that. Otherwise, we look for a
location on an instruction in the loop header.

The fallback heuristic is not bad, but will almost always find the beginning of
the body, and not the loop statement itself. The preheader location search
often fails because there's often not a preheader, and even when there is a
preheader, depending on how it was formed, it sometimes carries the location of
some preceeding code.

I don't see any good theoretical way to fix this problem. On the other hand,
this seems like a straightforward solution: Put the debug location in the
loop's llvm.loop metadata. When emitting debug information, this commit causes
us to add the debug location as an operand to each loop's llvm.loop metadata.
Thus, we now generate this metadata for all loops (not just loops with
optimization hints) when we're otherwise generating debug information.

The remark test case changes depend on the companion LLVM commit r270771.

Nico Weber fb42078d7c Fix mangled name of method with ns_consumed parameters.
When a function/method use a parameter with "ns_consumed" attribute,
ensure that the mangled name is the same whether -fobjc-arc is used
or not.

Since "ns_consumed" attribute is generally used to inform ARC that
a function/method does sink the reference, it mean it is usually
implemented in a compilation unit compiled without -fobjc-arc but
used form a compilation unit compiled with it.

Originally found while trying to use "ns_consumed" attribute in an
Objective-C++ file in Chromium (http://crbug.com/599980) where it
caused a linker error.

Regression introduced by revision 262278 (previously the attribute
was incorrectly not part of the mangled name).

Bob Wilson f4f54e3178 arc-repeated-use-of-weak should not warn about IBOutlet properties
Revision r211132 was supposed to disable -Warc-repeated-use-of-weak for
Objective-C properties marked with the IBOutlet attribute. Those properties
are supposed to be weak but they are only accessed from the main thread
so there is no risk of asynchronous updates setting them to nil. That
combination makes -Warc-repeated-use-of-weak very noisy. The previous
change only handled one kind of access to weak IBOutlet properties.
Instead of trying to add checks for all the different kinds of property
accesses, this patch removes the previous special case check and adds a
check at the point where the diagnostic is reported. rdar://21366461

MSVC now supports the __is_assignable type trait intrinsic,
to enable easier and more efficient implementation of the
Standard Library's is_assignable trait.
As of Visual Studio 2015 Update 3, the VC Standard Library

The implementation is pretty straightforward due to the previously
existing is_nothrow_assignable and is_trivially_assignable.
We handle __is_assignable via the same code as the other two except
that we skip the extra checks for nothrow or triviality.

David Majnemer cd3ebfe293 [MS ABI] Implement __declspec(empty_bases) and __declspec(layout_version)
The layout_version attribute is pretty straightforward: use the layout
rules from version XYZ of MSVC when used like
struct __declspec(layout_version(XYZ)) S {};

The empty_bases attribute is more interesting. It tries to get the C++
empty base optimization to fire more often by tweaking the MSVC ABI
rules in subtle ways:
1. Disable the leading and trailing zero-sized object flags if a class
   is marked __declspec(empty_bases) and is empty.

   This means that given:
   struct __declspec(empty_bases) A {};
   struct __declspec(empty_bases) B {};
   struct C : A, B {};

   'C' will have size 1 and nvsize 0 despite not being annotated
   __declspec(empty_bases).

2. When laying out virtual or non-virtual bases, disable the injection
   of padding between classes if the most derived class is marked
   __declspec(empty_bases).

   This means that given:
   struct A {};
   struct B {};
   struct __declspec(empty_bases) C : A, B {};

   'C' will have size 1 and nvsize 0.

3. When calculating the offset of a non-virtual base, choose offset zero
   if the most derived class is marked __declspec(empty_bases) and the
   base is empty _and_ has an nvsize of 0.

   Because of the ABI rules, this does not mean that empty bases
   reliably get placed at offset 0!

   For example:
   struct A {};
   struct B {};
   struct __declspec(empty_bases) C : A, B { virtual ~C(); };

   'C' will be pointer sized to account for the vfptr at offset 0.
   'A' and 'B' will _not_ be at offset 0 despite being empty!
   Instead, they will be located right after the vfptr.

   This occurs due to the interaction betweeen non-virtual base layout
   and virtual function pointer injection: injection occurs after the
   nv-bases and shifts them down by the size of a pointer.

OpenCL builtin functions to_{global|local|private} accepts argument of pointer type to arbitrary pointee type, and return a pointer to the same pointee type in different addr space, i.e.

It is not desirable to declare it as

global void *to_global(void *);
in opencl header file since it misses diagnostics.

This patch implements these builtin functions as Clang builtin functions. In the builtin def file they are defined to have signature void*(void*). When handling call expressions, their declarations are re-written to have correct parameter type and return type corresponding to the call argument.

In codegen call to addr void *to_addr(void*) is generated with addrcasts or bitcasts to facilitate implementation in builtin library.

The `FreeBSDTargetInfo` class has always set the `__FreeBSD_cc_version`
predefined macro to a rather static value, calculated from the major OS

In the FreeBSD base system, we will start incrementing the value of this
macro whenever we make any signifant change to clang, so we need a way
to configure the macro's value at build time.

Use `FREEBSD_CC_VERSION` for this, which we can define in the FreeBSD
build system using either the `-D` command line option, or an include
file. Stock builds will keep the earlier value.

Vedant Kumar 95a2a7f2a1 [Lexer] Don't merge macro args from different macro files
The lexer sets the end location of macro arguments incorrectly *if*,
while merging consecutive args to fit into a single SLocEntry, it finds
args which come from different macro files.

Fix the issue by using separate SLocEntries in this situation.

This fixes a code coverage crasher (rdar://problem/26181005). Because
the lexer reported end locations for certain macro args incorrectly, we
would generate bogus coverage mappings with negative line offsets.

Summary:
MONITORX/MWAITX instructions provide similar capability to the MONITOR/MWAIT
pair while adding a timer function, such that another termination of the MWAITX
instruction occurs when the timer expires. The presence of the MONITORX and
MWAITX instructions is indicated by CPUID 8000_0001, ECX, bit 29.

The MONITORX and MWAITX instructions are intercepted by the same bits that
intercept MONITOR and MWAIT. MONITORX instruction establishes a range to be
monitored. MWAITX instruction causes the processor to stop instruction
execution and enter an implementation-dependent optimized state until
occurrence of a class of events.

Opcode of MONITORX instruction is "0F 01 FA". Opcode of MWAITX instruction is
"0F 01 FB". These opcode information is used in adding tests for the
disassembler.

These instructions are enabled for AMD's bdver4 architecture.

Nico Weber 379a1952b3 [ms] Reintroduce feature guards in intrinsic headers in Microsoft mode
Visual Studio's C++ standard library headers include intrin.h, so the intrinsic
headers get included a lot more often in Microsoft mode than elsewhere. The
AVX512 intrinsics are a lot of code (0.7 MB, causing 30% compile time overhead
for small programs including e.g. <string> and 6% compile time overhead for
larger projects like e.g. v8). Since multiversioning can't be relied on in
Microsoft mode (cl.exe doesn't support it), having faster compiles seems like
the much better tradeoff until we have a better intrinsic story going forward
(which we'll need for e.g. PR19898).

Actually using intrinsics on Windows already requires the right /arch:
settings, so this patch should have no big behavior change.

Bruno Cardoso Lopes b171a59bfd [Modules] Use vfs for (recursive) directory iteration
Clang performs directory walk while searching headers inside modules by
using the ::sys::fs instead of ::vfs. This prevents any code that uses

the VFS will never be searched for those.

Sean Callanan f94ef1df8b Fixed a bug where the ASTImporter didn't propagate builtin IDs at all.
IdentifierInfos are assigned builtin IDs during parsing, but Idents.get() does
not do that work. So the ASTImporter needs to additionally set the builtin ID
for the newly-created IdentifierInfo. This patch does that.

Currently ASTMerge tests only check syntax and the ASTMatchers don't check for
builtin IDs, so this is tricky to test, but LLDB will have a test for this.

-fms-compatibility-version was defaulting to 18 (VS 2013), which is a pain if your environment is pointing to version 19 (VS 2015) libraries.

If cl.exe can be found, this patch uses its version number as the default instead. It re-uses the existing code to find the Visual Studio binaries folder and WinAPI methods to check its version. You can still explicitly specify a compatibility version on the command line. If you don't have cl.exe, this should be a no-op and you'll get the old default of 18.

This affected the tests, which assumed that if you didn't specific a version, that it would default to 18, but this won't be true for all machines. So a couple test cases had to be eliminated and a couple others had to be tweaked to allow for various outputs.

Bruno Cardoso Lopes b3a0fa4863 [ModuleMap][CrashReproducer] Collect headers from inner frameworks
(1) Collect headers under inner frameworks (frameworks inside other
other frameworks).
(2) Make sure we also collect the right header files inside them.

More info on (2):

Consider a dummy framework module B, with header Frameworks/B/B.h. Now
consider that another framework A, with header Frameworks/A/A.h, has a
layout with a inner framework Frameworks/A/Frameworks/B/B.h, where the
"B/B.h" part is a symlink for Frameworks/B/B.h. Also assume that
Frameworks/A/A.h includes <B/B.h>.

When parsing header Frameworks/A/A.h, framework module lookup is
performed in search for B, and it happens that
"Frameworks/A/Frameworks/B/B.h" path is registered in the module instead
of real "Frameworks/B/B.h". This occurs because
"Frameworks/A/Frameworks/B/B.h" is scanned first by the FileManager,
when looking for inner framework modules under Frameworks/A/Frameworks.
This makes Frameworks/A/Frameworks/B/B.h the default cached named inside
the FileManager for the B.h file UID.

This leads to modules being built without consistent paths to underlying
header files. This is usually not a problem in regular compilation flow,
but it's an issue when running the crash reproducer. The issue is that
clangs collect "Frameworks/A/Frameworks/B/B.h" but not
"Frameworks/B/B.h" into the VFS, leading to err_mmap_umbrella_clash. So
make sure we also collect the original header.

Summary:
Clang does not detect `aapcs-vfp` for the EABIHF environment. The reason is that only GNUEABIHF is considered while choosing calling convention, EABIHF is ignored.

This causes clang to use `aapcs` for EABIHF and add the `arm_aapcscc` specifier to functions in generated IR.

The modified `arm-cc.c` test checks that no calling convention specifier is added to functions for EABIHF, which means the default one is used (`CallingConv::ARM_AAPCS_VFP`).

Bruno Cardoso Lopes f6a0a72dbe [VFS] Reapply #2: Reconstruct the VFS overlay tree for more accurate lookup
Reapply r269100 and r269270, reverted due to
https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=27725. Isolate the testcase that
corresponds to the new feature side of this commit and skip it on
windows hosts until we find why it does not work on these platforms.

Original commit message:

The way we currently build the internal VFS overlay representation leads
to inefficient path search and might yield wrong answers when asked for
recursive or regular directory iteration.

Currently, when reading an YAML file, each YAML root entry is placed
inside a new root in the filesystem overlay. In the crash reproducer, a
simple "@import Foundation" currently maps to 43 roots, and when looking
up paths, we traverse a directory tree for each of these different
roots, until we find a match (or don't). This has two consequences:

- It's slow.
- Directory iteration gives incomplete results since it only return
results within one root - since contents of the same directory can be
declared inside different roots, the result isn't accurate.

This is in part fault of the way we currently write out the YAML file
when emitting the crash reproducer - we could generate only one root and
that would make it fast and correct again. However, we should not rely
on how the client writes the YAML, but provide a good internal
representation regardless.

Build a proper virtual directory tree out of the YAML representation,
allowing faster search and proper iteration. Besides the crash

David Majnemer 7f980d842c [MS ABI] Don't crash when zero-initializing a vbase which contains a vbase
Bases can be zero-initialized: the storage is zero-initialized before
the base constructor is run.
The MS ABI has a quirk where base VBPtrs are not installed by the
base constructor but by the most derived class. In particular, they are
installed before the base constructor is run.
The derived constructor must be careful to zero-initialize only the bits
of the class which haven't already been populated by virtual base
pointers.

While we correctly avoided this scenario, we didn't handle the case
where the base class has virtual bases which have virtual bases.

Bruno Cardoso Lopes ab83dc646d [VFS] Reapply r269100: Reconstruct the VFS overlay tree for more accurate lookup

This patch builds a proper virtual directory tree out of the YAML
representation, allowing faster search and proper iteration. Besides the
crash reproducer, this potentially benefits other VFS clients.

Derek Schuff cc42df4a30 Do not register incompatible C++ destructors with __cxa_atexit
Summary:
For a static object with a nontrivial destructor, clang generates an
initializer function (__cxx_global_var_init) which registers that
object's destructor using __cxa_atexit. However some ABIs (ARM,
WebAssembly) use destructors that return 'this' instead of having void
return (which does not match the signature of function pointers passed
to __cxa_atexit). This results in undefined behavior when the destructors are
called. All the calling conventions I know of on ARM can tolerate this,
but WebAssembly requires the signatures of indirect calls to match the
called function.

This patch disables that direct registration of destructors for ABIs
that have this-returning destructors.

George Burgess IV 3dc1669133 [Sema] Fix an overload resolution bug with enable_if.
Currently, if clang::isBetterOverloadCandidate encounters an enable_if
attribute on either candidate that it's inspecting, it will ignore all
lower priority attributes (e.g. pass_object_size). This is problematic
in cases like:

```
void foo(char *c) __attribute__((enable_if(1, "")));
void foo(char *c __attribute__((pass_object_size(0))))
    __attribute__((enable_if(1, "")));
```

...Because we would ignore the pass_object_size attribute in the second
`foo`, and consider any call to `foo` to be ambiguous.

This patch makes overload resolution consult further tiebreakers (e.g.
pass_object_size) if two candidates have equally good enable_if
attributes.

    see --sysroot and -isysroot.

Add support to expand the `=` as a prefix of the include path with the sysroot
if specified. `-isysroot` takes precedence over `--sysroot` as the normal
argument behaviour occurs. The ordering of the `-isysroot` is relevant to the
path substituted. If no `--sysroot=` or `-isysroot` option is present, the = is
not expanded.

Two version is attached in this patch (thus it will not compile), to be decided which approach to take. The second one always chooses one single parent while the first one does a depth-first search upwards (thus a height-first search) and returns the first positive match of the inner matcher (thus it always returns zero or one matches, not more). Further questions: is it enough to implement it in-place, or ASTMatchersInternals or maybe ASTMatchFinder should be involved?

Reid Kleckner 9d03109233 Fix argument expansion of reference fields of structs
r268261 made Clang "expand" more struct arguments on Windows. It removed
the check for 'RD->isCLike()', which was preventing us from attempting
to expand structs with reference type fields.

Our expansion code was attempting to load and pass each field of the
type in turn. We were accidentally doing one to many loads on reference
type fields.

On the function prologue side, we can use
EmitLValueForFieldInitialization, which obviously gets the address of
the field. On the call side, I tweaked EmitRValueForField directly,
since this is the only use of this method.

Before this change, we would pass all non-HFA record arguments on
Windows with byval. Byval often blocks optimizations and results in bad
code generation. Windows now uses the existing workaround that other
x86_32 platforms use.

I also expanded the workaround to handle C++ records with constructors
on Windows. On non-Windows platforms, we have to keep generating the
same LLVM IR prototypes if we want our bitcode to be ABI compatible.
Otherwise we will encounter mismatch issues like PR21573.

Essentially fixes PR27522 in Clang instead of LLVM.

Denis Zobnin 2290dacaf8 Recommit "[MS] Improved implementation of stack pragmas (vtordisp, *_seg)"
Slightly updated version, double-checked build and tests.
Improve implementation of MS pragmas that use stack + compatibility fixes.
This patch:
  1. Changes implementation of #pragma vtordisp to use PragmaStack class
     that other stack pragmas use;
  2. Fixes "#pragma vtordisp()" behavior - it shouldn't affect the stack;
  3. Supports "save-restore" of pragma stacks on enter / exit a C++ method
     body, as MSVC does.

TODO:
  1. Change implementation of #pragma pack to use the same approach;
  2. Introduce diagnostics on popping named stack slots, as MSVC does.

Akira Hatanaka 10aced824a [Parser] Clear the TemplateParamScope bit of the current scope's flag
if we are parsing a template specialization.

This commit makes changes to clear the TemplateParamScope bit and set
the TemplateParamParent field of the current scope to null if a template
specialization is being parsed.

Before this commit, Sema::ActOnStartOfLambdaDefinition would check
whether the parent template scope had any decls to determine whether
or not a template specialization was being parsed. This wasn't correct
since it couldn't distinguish between a real template specialization and
a template defintion with an unnamed template parameter (only template
parameters with names are added to the scope's decl list). To fix the
bug, this commit changes the code to check the pointer to the parent
template scope rather than the decl list.

Reid Kleckner f463a8a424 Avoid -Wshadow warnings about constructor parameters named after fields
Usually these parameters are used solely to initialize the field in the
initializer list, and there is no real shadowing confusion.

There is a new warning under -Wshadow called
-Wshadow-field-in-constructor-modified. It attempts to find
modifications of such constructor parameters that probably intended to
modify the field.

It has some false negatives, though, so there is another warning group,
-Wshadow-field-in-constructor, which always warns on this special case.
For users who just want the old behavior and don't care about these fine
grained groups, we have a new warning group called -Wshadow-all that
activates everything.

Alexey Bataev 2b19a6fe53 [OPENMP 4.5] Codegen for 'grainsize/num_tasks' clauses of 'taskloop'
directive.

OpenMP 4.5 defines 'taskloop' directive and 2 additional clauses
'grainsize' and 'num_tasks' for this directive. Patch adds codegen for
these clauses.
These clauses are generated as arguments of the '__kmpc_taskloop'
libcall and are encoded the following way:

void __kmpc_taskloop(ident_t *loc, int gtid, kmp_task_t *task, int if_val, kmp_uint64 *lb, kmp_uint64 *ub, kmp_int64 st, int nogroup,  int sched, kmp_uint64 grainsize, void *task_dup);

If 'grainsize' is specified, 'sched' argument must be set to '1' and
'grainsize' argument must be set to the value of the 'grainsize' clause.
If 'num_tasks' is specified, 'sched' argument must be set to '2' and
'grainsize' argument must be set to the value of the 'num_tasks' clause.
It is possible because these 2 clauses are mutually exclusive and can't
be used at the same time on the same directive.
If none of these clauses is specified, 'sched' argument must be set to
'0'.

Peter Collingbourne a8b2f7c0d7 Rework interface for bitset-using features to use a notion of LTO visibility.
Bitsets, and the compiler features they rely on (vtable opt, CFI),
only have visibility within the LTO'd part of the linkage unit. Therefore,
only enable these features for classes with hidden LTO visibility. This
notion is based on object file visibility or (on Windows)
dllimport/dllexport attributes.

We provide the [[clang::lto_visibility_public]] attribute to override the
compiler's LTO visibility inference in cases where the class is defined
in the non-LTO'd part of the linkage unit, or where the ABI supports
calling classes derived from abstract base classes with hidden visibility
in other linkage units (e.g. COM on Windows).

If the cross-DSO CFI mode is enabled, bitset checks are emitted even for
classes with public LTO visibility, as that mode uses a separate mechanism
to cause bitsets to be exported.

This mechanism replaces the whole-program-vtables blacklist, so remove the
-fwhole-program-vtables-blacklist flag.

Because __declspec(uuid()) now implies [[clang::lto_visibility_public]], the
support for the special attr:uuid blacklist entry is removed.
