(1) Fixed mismatch in intrinsics names in declarations and in doxygen comments.

(2) Removed uncessary anymore \c commands, since the same effect will be achived by <c> ... </c> sequence. 

I got an OK from Eric Christopher to commit doxygen comments without prior code
review upstream.
