Revert "Revert "As a follow-up to my initial mail to llvm-dev here's a first pass at the O1 described there."" This reapplies: 8ff85ed905a7306977d07a5cd67ab4d5a56fafb4 Original commit message: As a follow-up to my initial mail to llvm-dev here's a first pass at the O1 described there. This change doesn't include any change to move from selection dag to fast isel and that will come with other numbers that should help inform that decision. There also haven't been any real debuggability studies with this pipeline yet, this is just the initial start done so that people could see it and we could start tweaking after. Test updates: Outside of the newpm tests most of the updates are coming from either optimization passes not run anymore (and without a compelling argument at the moment) that were largely used for canonicalization in clang. [ARM] Allow passing/returning of __fp16 arguments The ACLE (ARM C Language Extensions) 2.0 allows the __fp16 type to be used as a functon argument or return type (ACLE 1.1 did not). The current public release of the AAPCS (2.09) states that __fp16 values should be converted to single-precision before being passed or returned, but AAPCS 2.10 (to be released shortly) changes this, so that they are passed in the least-significant 16 bits of either a GPR (for base AAPCS) or a single-precision register (for AAPCS-VFP). This does not change how arguments are passed if they get passed on the stack. This patch brings clang up to compliance with the latest versions of both of these specs. We can now set the __ARM_FP16_ARGS ACLE predefine, and we have always been able to set the __ARM_FP16_FORMAT_IEEE predefine (we do not support the alternative format). llvm-svn: 246764

[test] Add {{.*}} to make ELF tests immune to dso_local/dso_preemptable/(none) differences For a default visibility external linkage definition, dso_local is set for ELF -fno-pic/-fpie and COFF and Mach-O. Since default clang -cc1 for ELF is similar to -fpic ("PIC Level" is not set), this nuance causes unneeded binary format differences. To make emitted IR similar, ELF -cc1 -fpic will default to -fno-semantic-interposition, which sets dso_local for default visibility external linkage definitions. To make this flip smooth and enable future (dso_local as definition default), this patch replaces (function) `define ` with `define{{.*}} `, (variable/constant/alias) `= ` with `={{.*}} `, or inserts appropriate `{{.*}} `.
