Handle non-default array bounds. Some languages, e.g. Ada and Pascal, allow you to specify that the array bounds are different from the default (1 in these cases). If we have a lower bound that's non-default, then we emit the lower bound. We also calculate the correct upper bound in those cases. llvm-svn: 169484

Now that llvm-dwarfdump supports flags to specify which DWARF section to dump, use them in tests that run llvm-dwarfdump. This is in order to make tests as specific as possible. llvm-svn: 173498

Renumber testcase metadata nodes after r290153. This patch renumbers the metadata nodes in debug info testcases after https://reviews.llvm.org/D26769. This is a separate patch because it causes so much churn. This was implemented with a python script that pipes the testcases through llvm-as - | llvm-dis - and then goes through the original and new output side-by side to insert all comments at a close-enough location. The purpose is to handle all DIE creations similarly: constructs the context first, then creates the DIE and immediately adds the DIE to its parent. llvm-dwarfdump: Do not include address offsets for attributes, only for tags This reduces the noise in diffs making it more likely that, at least for LLVM revision-over-revision, diffs will actually yield usable results. This is consistent with objdump's DWARF dumping behavior. llvm-svn: 188650

Implement DW_TAG_subrange_type with DW_AT_count rather than DW_AT_upper_bound This allows proper disambiguation of unbounded arrays and arrays of zero bound ("struct foo { int x[]; };" and "struct foo { int x[0]; }"). GCC instead produces an upper bound of -1 in the latter situation, but count seems tidier. This way lower_bound is provided if it's not the language default and count is provided if the count is known, otherwise it's omitted. Simple. If someone wants to look at rdar://problem/12566646 and see if this change is acceptable to that bug/fix, that might be helpful (see the empty-and-one-elem-array.ll test case which cites that radar). llvm-svn: 218726

DebugInfo: Use a 64 bit type for the subrange While we were encoding 64 bit values (data8) in the subrange itself, using a 32 bit type for the subrange was still confusing the gdb. Canonicalize the representation of empty an expression in DIGlobalVariableExpression This change simplifies code that has to deal with DIGlobalVariableExpression and mirrors how we treat DIExpressions in debug info intrinsics. Before this change there were two ways of representing empty expressions on globals, a nullptr and an empty !DIExpression(). If someone needs to upgrade out-of-tree testcases: perl -pi -e 's/(!DIGlobalVariableExpression\(var: ![0-9]*)\)/\1, expr: !DIExpression())/g' <MYTEST.ll> will catch 95%. llvm-svn: 312144
