ext4_find_unwritten_pgoff() does not properly handle a situation when starting index is in the middle of a page and blocksize < pagesize. The following command shows the bug on filesystem with 1k blocksize: xfs_io -f -c "falloc 0 4k" \ -c "pwrite 1k 1k" \ -c "pwrite 3k 1k" \ -c "seek -a -r 0" foo In this example, neither lseek(fd, 1024, SEEK_HOLE) nor lseek(fd, 2048, SEEK_DATA) will return the correct result. Fix the problem by neglecting buffers in a page before starting offset. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
