ecdh_set_secret() casts a void* pointer to a const u64* in order to feed it into ecc_is_key_valid(). This is not generally permitted by the C standard, and leads to actual misalignment faults on ARMv6 cores. In some cases, these are fixed up in software, but this still leads to performance hits that are entirely avoidable. So let's copy the key into the ctx buffer first, which we will do anyway in the common case, and which guarantees correct alignment. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
