The current timeout logic for Control Queue-Pair (CQP) OPs
does not take into account whether CQP makes progress but
rather blindly waits for a large timeout value, 100000 jiffies
for the completion event. Improve this by setting the timeout
based on whether the CQP is making progress or not. If the CQP
is hung, the timeout will happen sooner, in 5000 jiffies. Each
time the CQP progress is detetcted, the timeout extends by 5000
jiffies.

Do not track physical state separately from host_link_state.
Deduce physical state from host_link_state when required.
Change cache_physical_state to log_physical_state to make
sure host_link_state reflects hardwares physical state properly.

Currently fallback configuration is loaded once per driver instance.
With multiple HFI devices in the same system the current code may not
load the platform config data for the device. Change fallback platform
config data loading to be per device.

A couple bits are used by OPA for link physical state that are not present

PIO/SDMA send logic now uses the hdr_type field to determine
the type of packet that has been constructed. Based on the hdr_type,
certain things such as PBC flags, padding count and the LT extra
trailing bytes are determined.

When address handle attributes are initialized, the LIDs are
transformed to be in the 32 bit LID space.
When constructing the header, hfi1 driver will look at the LID
to determine the packet header to be created.

There is a mixture of mutex and spinlocks to protect receive context
(rcd/uctxt) information. This is not used consistently.
Use the mutex to protect device receive context information only.
Use the spinlock to protect sub context information only.
Protect access to items in the rcd array with a spinlock and
reference count.
Remove spinlock around dd->rcd array cleanup. Since interrupts are
disabled and cleaned up before this point, this lock is not useful.

The rcd array can be accessed from user context or during interrupts.
Protecting this with a mutex isn't a good idea because the mutex should
not be used from an IRQ.
Protect the allocation and freeing of rcd array elements with a
spinlock.

When DC is shut down (by e.g. disconnecting the cable), the
driver should use host_link_state to get port's current
physical state. This is due to the fact that physical state
is read from DC's CSRs and when DC is shut down and state is
changed, its registers are not impacted.

Most user verbs pass user data to the kernel with the inclusion of the
ib_uverbs_cmd_hdr structure. This is problematic because the vendor has
no ideas if the verb was called by a legacy verb or an extended verb.
Also, the incosistency between the verbs is confusing.

Enables multiple Interrupt vectors. Driver is requesting the max
MSIX vectors based on the number of online cpus and creates upto
9 MSIx vectors (1 for control path and 8 for data path).
A tasklet is created for each of these vectors. NQs are assigned
to CQs in round robin fashion.
This patch also adds IRQ affinity hint for the MSIX vector of each NQ.

This patch series primarily increases sizes of variables that hold
lid values from 16 to 32 bits. Additionally, it adds a check in
the IB mad stack to verify a properly formatted MAD when OPA
extended LIDs are used.

Remove NULL check for cm_node->listener in i40iw_accept
as listener is always present at this point.
Remove the check for cm_node->accept_pend and related code
in i40iw_cm_event_connected as the cm_node in this context
is only pertinent to active node and cm_node->accept_pend
is always 0.

Some drivers (specifically the nes IB driver), want to create a lot of
sysfs driver attributes. Instead of open-coding the creation and
removal of these files (and getting it wrong btw), it's a better idea to
let the driver core handle all of this logic for us.
So add a new field to the pci driver structure, **groups, that allows
pci drivers to specify an attribute group list it wishes to have created
when it is registered with the driver core.
Big bonus is now the driver doesn't race with userspace when the sysfs
files are created vs. when the kobject is announced, so any script/tool
that actually wanted to use these files will not have to poll waiting
for them to show up.

The hns driver uses __raw_writeq which is only defined in 64BIT
environments. Trying to compile the driver in a 32BIT environment
results in errors. Only COMPILE_TEST when 64BIT is defined.

There is a need to forward FW version to user space
application through RDMA netlink. In order to make it safe, there
is need to declare nla_policy and limit the size of FW string.
The new define IB_FW_VERSION_NAME_MAX will limit the size of
FW version string. That define was chosen to be equal to
ETHTOOL_FWVERS_LEN, because many drivers anyway are limited
by that value indirectly.
The introduction of this define allows us to remove the string size
from get_fw_str function signature.

The UDP offload conflict is dealt with by simply taking what is
in net-next where we have removed all of the UFO handling code
entirely.
The TCP conflict was a case of local variables in a function
being removed from both net and net-next.
In netvsc we had an assignment right next to where a missing
set of u64 stats sync object inits were added.

The extended address vector is the highest bit in be32 variable,
but it was compared with the lowest. This patch fixes the endianness
of that check and removes already declared define.

Always initiate an offline transition request
when a link down occurs. The firmware will
use this request to confirm that the driver
has seen the link down message. A host version
is set to indicate this driver behavior to the
firmware.

When link interrupts occur, multiple link down requests
could be queued up when only one is needed. This could get
the hfi1 out of sync with its link partner during LNI.
Only allow one link down request to be queued at any one time.

The allocate_ctxt() function adds the context to the fd data structure.
Since the context is not completely initialized, this can cause confusion
as to whether the context is valid or not.
Move the fd reference from allocate_ctxt() to setup_base_ctxt().
Update the necessary functions to be aware of this move.

There is a window that allows other threads to read state of
'host_link_state' as a new, before the hardware actual state is set.
This patch closes the window by indicating a new state only after
hardware transition is complete.

There is a window where the FM can read the buffer control table
and decide not to program buffers. When a port goes down, the code
clears the table and if it is not programmed, posted SDMA descriptors
will never complete due to no buffer credits.

During PCIe initialization some registers' values from
PCI config space are saved in order to restore them later
(i.e. after reset). Restoring those value is done by a
function called restore_pci_variables, while saving them
is put directly into function hfi1_pcie_ddinit.
Move saving values to a separate function in the image
of restoring functionality.

Loading debug signed firmware fails if started immediately after
failed attempt to load production firmware. A short delay is
required so add about a 100us delay after RSA check failure.

Code structure is not consistent for if/else blocks and break
instructions in set_link_state for case HLS_UP_INIT. Physical
state uses break in case of an error and if/else blocks for
logical use cases. These blocks should be implemented consistently.

A trap should be sent to the FM until the FM sends a repress message.
This is in line with the IBTA 13.4.9.

The hfi1_<set|clear>_ctxt_<j|p>key functions take a context index and
look up the context based on that index.
Since the context index is being retrieved from the context, this
doesn't seem optimal.
Pass the context pointer for use, rather than the context index.

The array index for the rcd array is sized several different ways
throughout the code.
Use the user interface size (u16) as the standard size and update the
necessary code to reflect this.
u16 is large enough for the largest amount of supported contexts.

When an egress resource(SDMA descriptors, pio credits) is not available,
a sending thread will be put on the resource's wait queue. When the
resource becomes available again, up to a fixed number of sending threads
can be awakened sequentially and removed from the wait queue, depending
on the number of waiting threads and the number of free resources. Since
each awakened sending thread will send as many packets as possible, it
is highly likely that the first sending thread will consume all the
egress resources. Subsequently, it will be put back to the end of the wait
queue. Depending on the timing when the later sending threads wake up,
they may not be able to send any packet and be again put back to the end
of the wait queue sequentially, right behind the first sending thread.
This starvation cycle continues until some sending threads exceed their
retry limit and consequently fail.
This patch fixes the issue by two simple approaches:
(1) Any starved sending thread will be put to the head of the wait queue
while a served sending thread will be put to the tail;
(2) The most starved sending thread will be served first.

The ioremap_wc() clearly is not returning a write combining mapping due
to an overlap where the RcvArray is mapped in a uncached mapping prior
to creating the proposed write combining mapping.
The patch replaces the single base register for uncached CSRs that
used to overlap the RcvArray with two mappings. One, kregbase1, from the
bar0 up to the RcvArray and another, kregbase2, from the end of the
RcvArray to the pio send buffer space. A new dd field, base2_start,
is used to convert the zero-based offset in the CSR routines to the
correct kregbase1/kregbase2 mapping. A single direct write of the
RcvArray CSRs is replaced with hfi1_put_tid() to insure correct access
using the new disjoint mapping.
Additionally, the kregend field is deleted since it is only ever written.
patdebug now shows the RcvArray as write combining:

bnxt_en depends on MAY_USE_DEVLINK; this is used to force bnxt_en
to be =m when DEVLINK is =m.
Now, bnxt_re selects bnxt_en. Unless bnxt_re also explicitly calls
out dependency on MAY_USE_DEVLINK, Kconfig does not force bnxt_re

The 0day build system flags implicit includes as errors. A patch from
Matan Barak to allow hns_roce, an aarch64 specific RDMA driver, to be
built on other arches, but it resulted in build regressions. The
problem is that hns_roce_device.h needs a definition for __raw_writeq
but did not have an include to provide it. Add <linux/io.h> as an
include to resolve the issue.

Add support to work with a RSS QP by using an indirection table object
upon QP creation. Other related QP verbs (e.g. modify/destroy/query) were
updated as well for that QP mode.
Notes:
- The RX hash properties are supplied as driver private data.
- The RSS QP port is used on the associated WQs in its indirection
table. Applying different ports during WQ life time is not allowed.
- The expected RSS QP flow is: create, modify(RST->INIT),
modify(RST->RTR), destroy.

Support create/modify/destroy WQ related verbs.
The base IB object to enable RSS functionality is a WQ (i.e. ib_wq).
This patch implements the related WQ verbs as of create, modify and
destroy.
In downstream patches the WQ will be used as part of an indirection
table (i.e. ib_rwq_ind_table) to enable RSS QP creation.
Notes:
ConnectX-3 hardware requires consecutive WQNs list as receive descriptor
queues for the RSS QP. Hence, the driver manages consecutive ranges lists
per context which the user must respect.
Destroying the WQ does not return its WQN back to its range for
reusing. However, destroying all WQs from the same range releases the
range and in turn releases its WQNs for reusing.
Since the WQ object is not a natural object in the hardware, the driver
implements the WQ by the hardware QP.
As such, the WQ inherits its port from its RSS QP parent upon its
RST->INIT transition and by that time its state is applied to the
hardware.

Adding visibility of resource usage of QPs, CQs and counters used by
virtual functions. This feature will be used to give the PF administrator
more data while debugging VF status. Usage info was added to ALLOC_RES
command, to notify the PF if the resource which is being reserved or
allocated for the VF will be used by kernel driver or by user verbs.
Updated reservation and allocation functions of QP, CQ and counter with
additional usage parameter.

When inline-receive is enabled, the HCA may write received
data into the receive WQE.
Inline-receive is enabled by setting its matching bit in
the QP context and each single-packet message with payload
not exceeding the receive WQE size will be delivered to
the WQE.
The completion report will indicate that the payload was placed to the WQE.
It includes:
1) Return maximum supported size of inline-receive by the hardware
in query_device vendor's data part.
2) Enable the feature when requested by the vendor data input.

The extended address vector is the highest bit in be32 variable,
but it was compared with the lowest. This patch fixes the endianness

When we have a miss in one order of the mkey cache, we try to get
an mkey from a higher order.
We still need to check that the higher order can be used with UMR
before using it. Otherwise, we will get an mkey with 0 entries and
the post send operation that is used to fill it will complete with
the following error:

to block the attaching of mcg flow for underlay QP, recognize

Allow user space applications to accelerate send and receive
traffic which is typically handled by IPoIB ULP by creating
a UD QP with a given source QPN of the IPoIB UD QP.
UD QP with a given source QPN should basically be similar to
RAW QP from point of view of its created resources.
However,
- Its TIS should point to the source QPN.
- Modify can be done only on its state as the transport attributes
are managed by its source QP.
This patch manages below:
- Creating/destroying/modifying UD QP with a given source QPN.

Add debugfs interface for monitor the number of delay drop timeout
events and the number of existing dropless RQs in the system.

RQs that were configured for "delay drop" will prevent packet drops
when their WQEs are depleted.
Marking an RQ to be drop-less is done by setting delay_drop_en in RQ
context using CREATE_RQ command.
Since this feature is globally activated/deactivated by using the
SET_DELAY_DROP command on all the marked RQs, we activated/deactivated
it according to the number of RQs with 'delay_drop' enabled.
When timeout is expired, then the feature is deactivated. Therefore
the driver handles the delay drop timeout event and reactivate it.

When a user sets port_guid, node_guid or policy of an IB virtual
function, save this information in "struct mlx5_vf_context".
This information will be restored later when pci_resume is called.
To make sure this works, one can use aer-inject to generate PCI
errors on mlx5 devices and verify if relevant fields are restored
after PCI resume.

The old logic ignored link state. This led to missing IB events like
when link goes down on the switch while admin state is up or to redundant
events like when admin state goes up while link is down.
To fix that, probe the port state on NETDEV events and compare to last
known state to decide if IB events needs to be dispatched.

Currently, unicast/multicast loopback raw ethernet
(non-RDMA) packets are sent back to the vport.
A unicast loopback packet is the packet with destination
MAC address the same as the source MAC address.
For multicast, the destination MAC address is in the
vport's multicast filter list.
Moreover, the local loopback is not needed if
there is one or none user space context.
After this patch, the raw ethernet unicast and multicast
local loopback are disabled by default. When there is more
than one user space context, the local loopback is enabled.
Note that when local loopback is disabled, raw ethernet
packets are not looped back to the vport and are forwarded
to the next routing level (eswitch, or multihost switch,
or out to the wire depending on the configuration).

This patch allows driver to post send and receive
requests on QPs which are in error state.
Instead of flushing the QP in the context of polling
error CQEs, the QPs will be added to a flush list
maintained per CQ. QP state is moved to error.
QP is added to flush list if the user moves it
to error state using modify_qp also. After polling the HW
CQ in poll_cq routine, this flush list is traversed
and driver completes work requests on each QP in the flush
list, till the budget expires. The QP is moved out of
flush list during QP destroy or during modify_QP to RESET.
When ULPs post Work Requests while QP is in error state,
driver will store the ULP data and then increment the
QP producer s/w index, without ringing doorbell. It then
schedules a worker to invoke the CQ handler since the
interrupts wont be generated from the HW for this request.

Current implementation does not program vlan header insertion
in RoCE packet if no vlan is configured. Firmware does not add
prority when there is no vlan tag in the packet. Modify the code
to insert vlan header when PFC is enabled on the interface.

Only use the read sge lkey/addr and the remote rkey/addr if the
length of the read is not zero. Otherwise the read response might
be treated as the RTR read response and not delivered to the
application. Or worse Terminator hardware will fail a 0B read
if the STAG is 0 even if the read length is 0.

CM REQs cannot be successfully retried, because a new pv_cm_id is
created for each request, without checking if one already exists.
By checking if an id exists before creating one, the bug is fixed.
This bug can be provoked by running an RDMA CM user-land application,
but inserting a five seconds delay before the rdma_accept() call on
the passive side. This delay is larger than the default CMA timeout,
and triggers a retry from the active side. The retried REQ will use
another pv_cm_id (the cm_id on the wire). This confuses the CM
protocol and two REJs are sent from the passive side.

While invoking the req_notify_cq hook, ULPs can request
whether the CQs have any CQEs pending. If CQEs are pending,
drivers can indicate it by returning 1 for req_notify_cq.
The stack will poll CQ again till CQ is empty.
This patch peeks the CQ for any valid entries and return accordingly.

There's a couple of bugs in the support of max_rd_atomic and
max_dest_rd_atomic. In the modify_qp, if the requested max_rd_atomic,
which is the ORRQ size, is greater than what the chip can support,
then we have to cap the request to chip max as we can't have the HW
overflow the ORRQ. Capping the max_rd_atomic support internally is okay
to do as the remaining read/atomic WRs will still be sitting in the SQ.
However, for the max_dest_rd_atomic, the driver has to error out as
this dictates the IRRQ size and we can't control what the remote
side sends.

- Report supported value for max_mr_size to IB stack in query_device.
Also, check and log if MR size requested by application in
reg_user_mr() is greater than value currently supported by driver.
- Report only 4K page size support for now
- Fix Max_QP value returned by ibv_devinfo -vv.
In case of PF, FW reserves 129 QPs for creating QP1s of VFs
and PF. So the max_qp value reported by FW for PF doesn'tt include
the QP1. Fixing this issue by adding 1 with the value reported
by FW.

This fix is added only to avoid system crash in some a
specific scenario. When bnxt_re driver is loaded and if
user tries to change interface mac address, delete GID
fails because QP1 is still associated with existing MAC
(default GID). If the above command fails GID tables are
not modified in the h/w or driver, but the GID context memory
is freed. Now, if the user changes the mac back to the original
value, another add_gid comes to the driver where the driver
reports that the GID is already present in its table
and tries to access the context which was already freed.
So, in this case, in order to avoid NULL pointer de-reference,
this patch removes the context memory free if delete_gid fails
and the same context memory is re-used in new add_gid.
Memory cleanup will be taken care during driver unload, while
deleting the GID table.
