Chris Metcalf ef06f55a5c arch/tile: catch up on various minor cleanups.
None of these changes fix any actual bugs, but are just various cleanups
that fell out along the way.  In particular, some unused #defines and
includes are removed, PREFETCH_STRIDE is added (the default is right for
our shipping chips, but wrong for our next generation), our tile-specific
prefetching code is removed so the (identical) generic prefetching code
can be used instead, a comment is fixed to be proper GPL and not just a
"paste GPL here" token, a "//" comment is converted to "/* */", etc.

FUJITA Tomonori c6673cb54d tile: set ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN
Architectures that handle DMA-non-coherent memory need to set
ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN to make sure that kmalloc'ed buffer is DMA-safe:
the buffer doesn't share a cache with the others.

Chris Metcalf 0707ad30d1 arch/tile: Miscellaneous cleanup changes.
This commit is primarily changes caused by reviewing "sparse"
and "checkpatch" output on our sources, so is somewhat noisy, since
things like "printk() -> pr_err()" (or whatever) throughout the
codebase tend to get tedious to read.  Rather than trying to tease
apart precisely which things changed due to which type of code
review, this commit includes various cleanups in the code:

- sparse: Add declarations in headers for globals.
- sparse: Fix __user annotations.
- sparse: Using gfp_t consistently instead of int.
- sparse: removing functions not actually used.
- checkpatch: Clean up printk() warnings by using pr_info(), etc.;
  also avoid partial-line printks except in bootup code.
  - checkpatch: Use exposed structs rather than typedefs.
  - checkpatch: Change some C99 comments to C89 comments.

In addition, a couple of minor other changes are rolled in
to this commit:

- Add support for a "raise" instruction to cause SIGFPE, etc., to be raised.
- Remove some compat code that is unnecessary when we fully eliminate
  some of the deprecated syscalls from the generic syscall ABI.
- Update the tile_defconfig to reflect current config contents.

Chris Metcalf c78095bd8c arch/tile: Split the icache flush code off to a generic <arch> header.
This code is used in other places in our system than in Linux, so
to share it we now implement it as an inline function in our low-level
<arch> headers, and instantiate it in one file in Linux's arch/tile/lib.
The file is now cacheflush.c and is C code rather than the strangely-named
and assembler-implemented __invalidate_icache.S.

Chris Metcalf 2db0982781 arch/tile: Fix bug in support for atomic64_xx() ops.
This wasn't properly tested until the perf-event subsystem started
to get brought up under the tile architecture.

The bug caused bogus atomic64_cmpxchg() values to be returned,
among other things.

Chris Metcalf 863fbac671 arch/tile: Shrink the tile-opcode files considerably.
The C file (tile-desc_{32,64}.c) was about 300KB before this change,
and is now shrunk down to 100K.  The original file included support
for BFD in the binutils toolchain, which is not necessary in the
kernel; the kernel version only needs to include enough support to
enable the single-stepper and backtracer.

Chris Metcalf 9f9c0382cd arch/tile: Add driver to enable access to the user dynamic network.
This network (the "UDN") connects all the cpus on the chip in a
wormhole-routed dynamic network.  Subrectangles of the chip can
be allocated by a "create" ioctl on /dev/hardwall, and then to access the
UDN in that rectangle, tasks must perform an "activate" ioctl on that
same file object after affinitizing themselves to a single cpu in
the region.  Sending a wormhole-routed message that tries to leave
that subrectangle causes all activated tasks to receive a SIGILL
(just as they would if they tried to access the UDN without first
activating themselves to a hardwall rectangle).

The original submission of this code to LKML had the driver
instantiated under /proc/tile/hardwall.  Now we just use a character
device for this, conventionally /dev/hardwall.  Some futures planning
for the TILE-Gx chip suggests that we may want to have other types of
devices that share the general model of "bind a task to a cpu, then
'activate' a file descriptor on a pseudo-device that gives access to
some hardware resource".  As such, we are using a device rather
than, for example, a syscall, to set up and activate this code.

As part of this change, the compat_ptr() declaration was fixed and used
to pass the compat_ioctl argument to the normal ioctl.  So far we limit
compat code to 2GB, so the difference between zero-extend and sign-extend
(the latter being correct, eventually) had been overlooked.

Chris Metcalf fb702b942b arch/tile: Enable more sophisticated IRQ model for 32-bit chips.
This model is based on the on-chip interrupt model used by the
TILE-Gx next-generation hardware, and interacts much more cleanly
with the Linux generic IRQ layer.

The change includes modifications to the Tilera hypervisor, which
are reflected in the hypervisor headers in arch/tile/include/arch/.

Chris Metcalf de5d9bf654 Move list types from <linux/list.h> to <linux/types.h>.
This allows a list_head (or hlist_head, etc.) to be used from places
that used to be impractical, in particular <asm/processor.h>, which
used to cause include file recursion: <linux/list.h> includes
<linux/prefetch.h>, which always includes <asm/processor.h> for the
prefetch macros, as well as <asm/system.h>, which often includes
<asm/processor.h> directly or indirectly.

This avoids a lot of painful workaround hackery on the tile
architecture, where we use a list_head in the thread_struct to chain
together tasks that are activated on a particular hardwall.

Yehuda Sadeh ff49d74ad3 module: initialize module dynamic debug later
We should initialize the module dynamic debug datastructures
only after determining that the module is not loaded yet. This
fixes a bug that introduced in 2.6.35-rc2, where when a trying
to load a module twice, we also load it's dynamic printing data
twice which causes all sorts of nasty issues. Also handle
the dynamic debug cleanup later on failure.

Will Deacon 446a5a8b1e ARM: 6205/1: perf: ensure counter delta is treated as unsigned
Hardware performance counters on ARM are 32-bits wide but atomic64_t
variables are used to represent counter data in the hw_perf_event structure.

The armpmu_event_update function right-shifts a signed 64-bit delta variable
and adds the result to the event count. This can lead to shifting in sign-bits
if the MSB of the 32-bit counter value is set. This results in perf output
such as:

Mauro Carvalho Chehab 2d95d8158b i7core_edac: Avoid doing multiple probes for the same card
As Nehalem/Nehalem-EP/Westmere devices uses several devices for the same
functionality (memory controller), the default way of proping devices doesn't
work. So, instead of a per-device probe, all devices should be probed at once.

This means that we should block any new attempt of probe, otherwise, it will
try to register the same device several times.

Mauro Carvalho Chehab bda142890e i7core_edac: Properly discover the first QPI device
On Nehalem/Nehalem-EP/Westmere, the first QPI device is the last PCI bus.
The last bus is generally at 0x3f or 0xff, but there are also other systems
using different setups. For example, HP Z800 has 0x7f as the last bus.

This patch adds a logic to discover the last bus, dynamically detecting it
at runtime.

Borislav Petkov 41c310447f amd64_edac: Fix syndrome calculation on K8
When calculating the DCT channel from the syndrome we need to know the
syndrome type (x4 vs x8). On F10h, this is read out from extended PCI
cfg space register F3x180 while on K8 we only support x4 syndromes and
don't have extended PCI config space anyway.

Make the code accessing F3x180 F10h only and fall back to x4 syndromes
on everything else.

may have issues (hardware deadlock) with the mandatory barriers (DSB
followed by an L2 cache sync) when ARM_DMA_MEM_BUFFERABLE is enabled.
The patch disables ARM_DMA_MEM_BUFFERABLE for these boards.

processors only) may have issues (hardware deadlock) with the recent changes to
the mb() barrier implementation (DSB followed by an L2 cache sync). The patch
redefines the RealView ARM11MPCore mandatory barriers without the outer_sync()
call.

Daniel J Blueman 980533b018 correct console log level when ERST ACPI table is not found
When booting 2.6.35-rc3 on a x86 system without an ERST ACPI table with
the 'quiet' option, we still observe an "ERST: Table is not found!"
warning.

Quiesce it to the same info log level as the other 'table not found'
warnings.

Linus Torvalds 985b823b91 drm/i915: fix hibernation since i915 self-reclaim fixes
Since commit 4bdadb9785 ("drm/i915:
Selectively enable self-reclaim"), we've been passing GFP_MOVABLE to the
i915 page allocator where we weren't before due to some over-eager
removal of the page mapping gfp_flags games the code used to play.

This caused hibernate on Intel hardware to result in a lot of memory
corruptions on resume.  See for example

Jesse Barnes dd1ea37d92 drm/i915: change default panel fitting mode to preserve aspect ratio
We did this a long time ago in the DDX driver, but now this fix belongs
in the kernel.

Preserving the aspect ratio is a nicer default.

Dan Carpenter ee0c6bfbd6 drm/i915: take struct_mutex in i915_dma_cleanup()
intel_cleanup_ring_buffer() calls drm_gem_object_unreference() (as
opposed to drm_gem_object_unreference_unlocked()) so it needs to be
called with "struct_mutex" held.  If we don't hold the lock, it triggers
a BUG_ON(!mutex_is_locked(&dev->struct_mutex));

I also audited the other places that call intel_cleanup_ring_buffer()
and they all hold the lock so they're OK.

This was introduced in: 8187a2b70e "drm/i915: introduce
intel_ring_buffer structure (V2)" and it's a regression from v2.6.34.

Andy Lutomirski 2d1c9752ea drm/i915: Fix CRT hotplug regression in 2.6.35-rc1
Commit 7a772c492f has two bugs which
made the hotplug problems on my laptop worse instead of better.

First, it did not, in fact, disable the CRT plug interrupt -- it
disabled all the other hotplug interrupts.  It seems rather doubtful
that that bit of the patch fixed anything, so let's just remove it.
(If you want to add it back, you probably meant ~CRT_HOTPLUG_INT_EN.)

Second, on at least my GM45, setting CRT_HOTPLUG_ACTIVATION_PERIOD_64
and CRT_HOTPLUG_VOLTAGE_COMPARE_50 (when they were previously unset)
causes a hotplug interrupt about three seconds later.  The old code
never restored PORT_HOTPLUG_EN so this could only happen once, but
they new code restores those registers.  So just set those bits when
we set up the interrupt in the first place.

Dave Airlie fe27d53e5c i915: fix ironlake edp panel setup (v4)
The eDP spec claims a 20% overhead for the 8:10 encoding scheme used
on the wire. Take this into account when picking the lane/clock speed
for the panel.

v3: some panels are out of spec, try our best to deal with them, don't
refuse modes on eDP panels, and try the largest allowed settings if
all else fails on eDP.
v4: fix stupid typo, forgot to git add before amending.

Jesse Barnes adcdbc6651 drm/i915: don't access FW_BLC_SELF on 965G
The register offset for FW_BLC_SELF is a totally different set of bits
on Broadwater (it's actually MI_RDRET_STATE), so don't treat it like
FW_BLC_SELF on 965G chips.

Tejun Heo 1529c69adc ata_generic: implement ATA_GEN_* flags and force enable DMA on MBP 7,1
IDE mode of MCP89 on MBP 7,1 doesn't set DMA enable bits in the BMDMA
status register.  Make the following changes to work around the problem.

* Instead of using hard coded 1 in id->driver_data as class code
  match, use ATA_GEN_CLASS_MATCH and carry the matched id in
  host->private_data.

* Instead of matching PCI_VENDOR_ID_CENATEK, use ATA_GEN_FORCE_DMA
  flag in id instead.

* Add ATA_GEN_FORCE_DMA to the id entry of MBP 7,1.

Tejun Heo c6353b4520 ahci,ata_generic: let ata_generic handle new MBP w/ MCP89
For yet unknown reason, MCP89 on MBP 7,1 doesn't work w/ ahci under
linux but the controller doesn't require explicit mode setting and
works fine with ata_generic.  Make ahci ignore the controller on MBP
7,1 and let ata_generic take it for now.
