Adds entry/exit messages for all objects that are evaluated.
Works for the kernel-level code as well as acpiexec. The "-eo"
flag enables acpiexec to display these messages.
The messages are very useful when debugging the flow of table
initialization.

acpi_gbl_group_module_level_code and acpi_gbl_execute_tables_as_methods were
used to enable different table load behavior. The different table
load behaviors are as follows:
A.) acpi_gbl_group_module_level_code enabled the legacy approach where
ASL if statements are executed after the namespace object has
been loaded.
B.) acpi_gbl_execute_tables_as_methods is currently used to enable the
table load to be a method invocation. This meaning that ASL If
statements are executed in-line rather than deferred until after
the ACPI namespace has been populated. This is the correct
behavior and option A will be removed in the future.
We do not support a table load behavior where these variables are
assigned the same value. In otherwords, we only support option A or B
and do not need acpi_gbl_group_module_level_code to enable A. From now on,
acpi_gbl_execute_tables_as_methods == 0 enables option A and
acpi_gbl_execute_tables_as_methods == 1 enables option B.
Note: option A is expected to be removed in the future and option B
will become the only supported table load behavior.

It is possible to have _DSD entries where the data is compatible with
device properties format but are using different GUID for various reasons.
In addition to that there can be many such _DSD entries for a single device
such as for PCIe root port used to host a Thunderbolt hierarchy:

To make these available for drivers via unified device property APIs,
modify ACPI property core so that it supports multiple _DSD entries
organized in a linked list. We also store GUID of each _DSD entry in struct
acpi_device_properties in case there is need to differentiate between
entries. The supported GUIDs are then listed in prp_guids array.

PMCG nodes were added by IORT revision C, with the unfortunate oversight
that it only defined a single base address, and thus was incapable of
properly describing PMCG implementations with PMCG_CFGR.RELOC_CTRS = 1,
where the counters are in a separate page from the control registers.
Revision D corrects this by clarifying the existing field as the page 0
base address and adding a second field to describe the page 1 address
when implemented. With the spec now fit for purpose, let's support it.

IORT revision D contains a few additions and fixes to
currently-supported tables:
- SMMUv3 proximity domain field is enlarged to 4 bytes for consistency
with SRAT
- Root complex nodes gain an address size limit field equivalent to that
of named components
- Named component nodes gain a way to describe PASID (substream_ID)
support, encoded in their flags
Additionally, we fix a couple of outstanding points in passing:
- Add the stall support flag for named components defined in revision C
- Fix SMMUv3 HTTU override mask, which should always have been 2 bits

Provide a new lock type acpi_raw_spinlock which is implemented as
raw_spinlock_t on Linux. This type should be used in code which covers
small areas of code and disables interrupts only for short time even on
a realtime OS.
There is a fallback to spinlock_t if an OS does not provide an
implementation for acpi_raw_spinlock.

Tony reported seeing
"Internal error: Can't find EDAC structure"
when injecting correctable errors due to the fact that ghes_edac would
still load even if the whitelist won't hit. Drop the pr_err() in
ghes_edac_report_mem_error() for now due to the hacky way how ghes_edac
depends on ghes.c.
While at it, make ghes_edac_register() return an error if it doesn't hit
in the whitelist as it is the only sensible thing to do in that
situation.
Furthermore, move the call to it to happen last in ghes_probe() so that
GHES initializing properly does not depend on ghes_edac init at all
as latter is only reporting errors and not required for GHES's proper
functioning.

CPPC V3 introduces two new entries to make it easier to convert between
abstract processor performance and frequency. The two new entries are
lowest frequency and nominal frequency. These are the frequencies
corresponding to lowest and nominal abstract performance.
Add support to read the new entries and populate them as part of the
CPPC performance capabilities which can be used by cpufreq drivers

Currently the ACPI scan has special handling for serial bus slaves, in that
it makes it the responsibility of the slave device's parent to enumerate
the device.
To support other types of slave devices which require the same special
handling but where the bus is not strictly a serial bus, such as devices on
the HiSilicon LPC controller bus, rename acpi_is_serial_bus_slave() to
acpi_device_enumeration_by_parent(), so that the name can fit the wider
purpose.
Also rename the associated device flag acpi_device_flags.serial_bus_slave
to .enumeration_by_parent.

All uploaded PM data from non-dom0 CPUs takes the info from vCPU 0 and
changing only the acpi_id. For processors which P-state coordination type
is HW_ALL (0xFD) it is OK to upload bogus P-state dependency information
(_PSD), because Xen will ignore any cpufreq domains created for past CPUs.
Albeit for platforms which expose coordination types as SW_ANY or SW_ALL,
this will have some unintended side effects. Effectively, it will look at
the P-state domain existence and *if it already exists* it will skip the
acpi-cpufreq initialization and thus inherit the policy from the first CPU
in the cpufreq domain. This will finally lead to the original cpu not
changing target freq to P0 other than the first in the domain. Which will
make turbo boost not getting enabled (e.g. for 'performance' governor) for
all cpus.
This patch fixes that, by also evaluating _PSD when we enumerate all ACPI
processors and thus always uploading the correct info to Xen. We export
acpi_processor_get_psd() for that this purpose, but change signature
to not assume an existent of acpi_processor given that ACPI isn't creating
an acpi_processor for non-dom0 CPUs.

As the documentatuon above its declaration indicates, acpi_get_object_info()
is intended for early probe usage and as such should not call any methods
which may rely on op_regions, before this commit it was also calling _STA,
which on some systems does rely on op_regions.

reason. Removing current_status from struct acpi_device_info only has a limited
impact. Within ACPICA it is only used by 2 debug messages, both
of which are modified to no longer print it with this commit.
Outside of ACPICA, there was one user in Linux, which has been patched to
no longer use current_status in Torvald's current master.
I've not checked if free_BSD or others are using the current_status field.

After being enabled for the first time, the GPEs may have STS bits already
set. Setting EN bits is not sufficient to trigger the GPEs again, so this
patch polls GPEs after enabling them for the first time.
This is a cleaner version on top of the "GPE clear" fix generated according
to Mika's report and Rafael's original Linux based fix. Based on Linux
commit originated from Rafael J. Wysocki, fixed by Lv Zheng.

EDAC driver needs to look up attributes of NVDIMMs provided in SMBIOS.
Provide a function that looks up an acpi_nfit_memory_map from a device
handle (node/socket/mc/channel/dimm) and returns the SMBIOS handle.
Also pass back the "flags" so we can see if the NVDIMM is OK.

For the kernel-resident ACPICA, optionally be silent about the
NOT_FOUND case. Although this is potentially a serious problem,
it can generate a lot of noise/errors on platforms whose
firmware carries around a bunch of unused Package objects.
To disable these errors, define ACPI_IGNORE_PACKAGE_RESOLUTION_ERRORS
in the OS-specific header.

This change completes the integration of the recent changes to
package object handling with the module-level code support.
For acpi_exec, the -ep flag is removed.
This change allows table load to behave as if it were a method
invocation. Before this, the definition block definition below would
have loaded all named objects at the root scope. After loading, it
would execute the if statements at the root scope.

The above code would load OBJ1 to the namespace, defer the execution
of the if statement and attempt to add OBJ2 within the scope of DEV1.
Since DEV1 is not in scope, this would incur an AE_NOT_FOUND error.
After this error is emitted, the if block is invoked and DEV1 and its
_HID is added to the namespace.
This commit changes the behavior to execute the if block in place
rather than deferring it until all tables are loaded. The new
behavior is as follows: insert OBJ1 in the namespace, invoke the if
statement and add DEV1 and its _HID to the namespace, add OBJ2 to the
scope of DEV1.

This is a patch that implements a generic hooking API for the
generic ACPI battery driver.
With this new generic API, drivers can expose platform specific
behaviour via sysfs attributes in /sys/class/power_supply/BATn/
in a generic way.
A perfect example of the need for this API are Lenovo ThinkPads.
Lenovo ThinkPads have a ACPI extension that allows the setting of
start and stop charge thresholds in the EC and battery firmware
via ACPI. The thinkpad_acpi module can use this API to expose
sysfs attributes that it controls inside the ACPI battery driver
sysfs tree, under /sys/class/power_supply/BATN/.
The file drivers/acpi/battery.h has been moved to
include/acpi/battery.h and the includes inside ac.c, sbs.c, and
battery.c have been adjusted to reflect that.
When drivers hooks into the API, the API calls add_battery() for
each battery in the system that passes it a acpi_battery
struct. Then, the drivers can use device_create_file() to create
new sysfs attributes with that struct and identify the batteries
for per-battery attributes.

We should not assume NULL is defined as "(void *)0" because NULL is
an implementation-defined macro. Especially, Clang 6 complains about
it, i.e., "arithmetic on a null pointer treated as a cast from integer

Sometimes the user wants to have device name of the match rather than
just checking if device present or not. To make life easier for such
users introduce acpi_dev_get_first_match_name() helper based on code
for acpi_dev_present().
For example, GPIO driver for Intel Merrifield needs to know the device
name of pin control to be able to apply GPIO mapping table to the proper
device.
To be more consistent with the purpose rename
struct acpi_dev_present_info -> struct acpi_dev_match_info
acpi_dev_present_cb() -> acpi_dev_match_cb()
in the utils.c file.

The data table compiler throws under the following conditions:
1.) there is a table with a last field that is optional
2.) if the optional field is not present
3.) the optional field is the last line of the data table
A change was made to dt_compile_table to return an AE_EOF under
these conditions. This AE_EOF means that we are at the end of the
file. The caller to dt_compile_table() is responsible for handling
this case. For DBG2 table, we will complete the compilation of this
subtable. For other tables, this could be different.

This patch implements a new infinite loop detection mechanism to replace
the old one, it uses acpi_os_get_timer() to limit loop execution into a
determined time slice.
This is useful in case some hardware/firmware operations really require the
AML interpreter to wait while the old mechanism could expire too fast on
recent machines.
The new mechanism converts old acpi_gbl_max_loop_iterations to store the user
configurable value for the new mechanism in order to allow users to be
still able to configure this value for acpiexec via command line. This
patch also removes wrong initilization code of acpi_gbl_max_loop_iterations
accordingly (it should have been initialized by ACPI_INIT_GLOBAL, and the
default value is also properly tuned for acpiexec). Reported by M. Foronda,
fixed by Lv Zheng.

On platforms (ASUS X550ZE and possibly all ASUS X series) with valid ECDT
EC but invalid DSDT EC, EC PM ops won't be invoked as ECDT EC is not an
ACPI device. Thus the following commit actually removed post-resume
acpi_ec_enable_event() invocation for such platforms, and triggered a
regression on them that after being resumed, EC (actually should be ECDT)
driver stops handling EC events:

Notice that the root cause actually is "ECDT is not an ACPI device" rather
than "the timing of acpi_ec_enable_event() invocation", this patch fixes
this issue by enumerating ECDT EC as an ACPI device. Due to the existence
of the noirq stage, the ability of tuning the timing of
acpi_ec_enable_event() invocation is still meaningful.
This patch is a little bit different from the posted fix by moving
acpi_config_boot_ec() from acpi_ec_ecdt_start() to acpi_ec_add() to make
sure that EC event handling won't be stopped as long as the ACPI EC driver
is bound. Thus the following sequence shouldn't disable EC event handling:
unbind,suspend,resume,bind.

Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.
By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.
Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.
This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.
How this work was done:
Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
- file had no licensing information it it.
- file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
- file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,
Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.
The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.
The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.
Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
- Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
- Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
lines of source
- File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
lines).
All documentation files were explicitly excluded.
The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
identifiers to apply.
- when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
COPYING file license applied.
For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

- when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
the concluded license(s).
- when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.
- In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).
- When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.
- If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier,
the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later
in time.
In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.
Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
they are related.
Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
in about 15000 files.
In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
correct identifier.
Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
version early this week with:
- a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
license ids and scores
- reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
- reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
SPDX license was correct
This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.
These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

UART devices is expected to be enumerated by SerDev subsystem.
During ACPI scan, serial devices behind SPI, I2C or UART buses are not
enumerated, allowing them to be enumerated by their respective parents.
Rename *spi_i2c_slave* to *serial_bus_slave* as this will be used for serial
devices on serial buses (SPI, I2C or UART).
On Macs an empty ResourceTemplate is returned for uart slaves.
Instead the device properties "baud", "parity", "dataBits", "stopBits" are
provided. Add a check for "baud" in acpi_is_serial_bus_slave().

Add functionality to read LPIT table, which provides:
- Sysfs interface to read residency counters via
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuidle/low_power_idle_cpu_residency_us

Here the count "low_power_idle_cpu_residency_us" shows the time spent
by CPU package in low power state. This is read via MSR interface,
which points to MSR for PKG C10.
Here the count "low_power_idle_system_residency_us" show the count the
system was in low power state. This is read via MMIO interface. This
is mapped to SLP_S0 residency on modern Intel systems. This residency
is achieved only when CPU is in PKG C10 and all functional blocks are
in low power state.
It is possible that none of the above counters present or anyone of the
counter present or all counters present.
For example: On my Kabylake system both of the above counters present.
After suspend to idle these counts updated and prints:

This counter can be read by tools like turbostat to display. Or it can
be used to debug, if modern systems are reaching desired low power state.
- Provides an interface to read residency counter memory address
This address can be used to get the base address of PMC memory
mapped IO. This is utilized by intel_pmc_core driver to print
more debug information.
In addition, to avoid code duplication to read iomem, removed the read of
iomem from acpi_os_read_memory() in osl.c and made a common function
acpi_os_read_iomem(). This new function is used for reading iomem in
in both osl.c and acpi_lpit.c.

Due to commit db3e50f323 (device property: Get rid of struct
fwnode_handle type field), ACPI_HANDLE() inadvertently became
a GPL-only call. The call path that led to that was:

In order to avoid changing any of that, let's instead provide ever
so slightly better encapsulation of those struct fwnode_operations
instances. Those do not really need to be directly used in
inline function calls in header files. Simply moving two small
functions (is_acpi_device_node and is_acpi_data_node) out of
acpi_bus.h, and into a .c file, does that.
That leaves the internals of struct fwnode_operations as GPL-only
(which I think was the intent all along), but un-breaks any driver
code out there that relies on the ACPI subsystem's being (historically)
an EXPORT_SYMBOL-usable system. By that, I mean, ACPI_HANDLE() and
other basic ACPI calls were non-GPL-protected.
Also, while I'm there, remove a tiny bit of redundancy that was missed
in the earlier commit, by having is_acpi_node() use the other two
routines, instead of checking fwnode directly.

According to the ACPI specification, firmware is not required to provide
the Hardware Error Source Table (HEST). When HEST is not present, the
following superfluous message is printed to the kernel boot log -
[ 3.460067] GHES: HEST is not enabled!
Extend hest_disable variable to track whether the firmware provides this
table and if it is not present skip any log output. The existing
behaviour is preserved in all other cases.

The revision 0x300 generic error data entry is different
from the old version, but currently iterating through the
GHES estatus blocks does not take into account this difference.
This will lead to failure to get the right data entry if GHES
has revision 0x300 error data entry.
Update the GHES estatus iteration macro to properly increment using
acpi_hest_get_next(), and correct the iteration termination condition
because the status block data length only includes error data
length.
Convert the CPER estatus checking and printing iteration logic
to use same macro.

Runtime GPEs have corresponding _Lxx/_Exx methods and are enabled
automatically during the initialization of the ACPI subsystem through
acpi_update_all_gpes() with the assumption that acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake()
will be called in advance for all of the GPEs pointed to by _PRW
objects in the namespace that may be affected by acpi_update_all_gpes().
That is, acpi_ev_initialize_gpe_block() can only be called for a GPE
block after acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake() has been called for all of the
_PRW (wakeup) GPEs in it.
The platform firmware on some systems, however, expects GPEs to be
enabled before the enumeration of devices which is when
acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake() is called and that goes against the above
assumption.
For this reason, introduce a new flag to be set by
acpi_ev_initialize_gpe_block() when automatically enabling a GPE
to indicate to acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake() that it needs to drop the
reference to the GPE coming from acpi_ev_initialize_gpe_block()
and modify acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake() accordingly. These changes
allow acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake() and acpi_ev_initialize_gpe_block()
to be invoked in any order.

Some devices have limited addressing capabilities and cannot
reference the whole memory address space while carrying out DMA
operations (eg some devices with bus address bits range smaller than
system bus - which prevents them from using bus addresses that are
otherwise valid for the system).
The ACPI _DMA object allows bus devices to define the DMA window that is
actually addressable by devices that sit upstream the bus, therefore
providing a means to parse and initialize the devices DMA masks and
addressable DMA range size.
By relying on the generic ACPI kernel layer to retrieve and parse
resources, introduce ACPI core code to parse the _DMA object.

In order to build ACPICA EFI tools with EDK-II on Windows, 64-bit
multiply/shift supports are also required to be implemented. Otherwise,
MSVC complains:

This patch fixes this issue. Reported by Shao Ming, fixed by Lv Zheng.
For Linux kernel, this patch is a functional no-op.

The acpi_pci_propagate_wakeup() routine is there to handle cases in
which PCI bridges (or PCIe ports) are expected to signal wakeup
for devices below them, but currently it doesn't do that correctly.
The problem is that acpi_pci_propagate_wakeup() uses
acpi_pm_set_device_wakeup() for bridges and if that routine is
called for multiple times to disable wakeup for the same device,
it will disable it on the first invocation and the next calls
will have no effect (it works analogously when called to enable
wakeup, but that is not a problem).
Now, say acpi_pci_propagate_wakeup() has been called for two
different devices under the same bridge and it has called
acpi_pm_set_device_wakeup() for that bridge each time. The
bridge is now enabled to generate wakeup signals. Next,
suppose that one of the devices below it resumes and
acpi_pci_propagate_wakeup() is called to disable wakeup for that
device. It will then call acpi_pm_set_device_wakeup() for the bridge
and that will effectively disable remote wakeup for all devices under
it even though some of them may still be suspended and remote wakeup
may be expected to work for them.
To address this (arguably theoretical) issue, allow
wakeup.enable_count under struct acpi_device to grow beyond 1 in
certain situations. In particular, allow that to happen in
acpi_pci_propagate_wakeup() when wakeup is enabled or disabled
for PCI bridges, so that wakeup is actually disabled for the
bridge when all devices under it resume and not when just one
of them does that.

To prepare for a subsequent change and make the code somewhat easier
to follow, do the following in the ACPI device wakeup handling code:
* Replace wakeup.flags.enabled under struct acpi_device with
wakeup.enable_count as that will be necessary going forward.
For now, wakeup.enable_count is not allowed to grow beyond 1,
so the current behavior is retained.
* Split acpi_device_wakeup() into acpi_device_wakeup_enable()
and acpi_device_wakeup_disable() and modify the callers of
it accordingly.
* Introduce a new acpi_wakeup_lock mutex to protect the wakeup
enabling/disabling code from races in case it is executed
more than once in parallel for the same device (which may
happen for bridges theoretically).

Instead of relying on the struct fwnode_handle type field, define
fwnode_operations structs for all separate types of fwnodes. To find out
the type, compare to the ops field to relevant ops structs.
This change has two benefits:
1. it avoids adding the type field to each and every instance of struct
fwnode_handle, thus saving memory and
2. makes the ops field the single factor that defines both the types of
the fwnode as well as defines the implementation of its operations,
decreasing the possibility of bugs when developing code dealing with
fwnode internals.

its argument. The validity of the pointer is first checked. Extend the
check to cover error values as is done by similar is_acpi_node() and

The current SPCR code does not check the access width of the MMIO, and
uses a default of 8bit register accesses. This prevents devices that
only do 16 or 32bit register accesses from working. By simply checking
this field and setting the MMIO string appropriately, this issue can be
corrected. To prevent any legacy issues, the code will default to 8bit
accesses if the value is anything but 16 or 32.

The pme_interrupt flag in struct pci_dev is set when PMEs generated
by the device are going to be signaled via root port PME interrupts.
Ironically enough, that information is only used by the code setting
up device wakeup through ACPI which returns as soon as it sees the
pme_interrupt flag set while setting up "remote runtime wakeup".
That is questionable, however, because in theory there may be PCIe
devices using out-of-band PME signaling under root ports handled
by the native PME code or devices requiring wakeup power setup to be
carried out by AML. For such devices, ACPI wakeup should be invoked
regardless of whether or not native PME signaling is used in general.
For this reason, drop the pme_interrupt flag and rework the code
using it which then allows the ACPI-based device wakeup handling
in PCI to be consolidated to use one code path for both "runtime
remote wakeup" and system wakeup (from sleep states).

Currently, there are two separate ways of handling device wakeup
settings in the ACPI core, depending on whether this is runtime
wakeup or system wakeup (from sleep states). However, after the
previous commit eliminating the run_wake ACPI device wakeup flag,
there is no difference between the two any more at the ACPI level,
so they can be combined.
For this reason, introduce acpi_pm_set_device_wakeup() to replace both
acpi_pm_device_run_wake() and acpi_pm_device_sleep_wake() and make it
check the ACPI device object's wakeup.valid flag to determine whether
or not the device can be set up to generate wakeup signals.
Also notice that zpodd_enable/disable_run_wake() only call
device_set_run_wake() because acpi_pm_device_run_wake() called
device_run_wake(), which is not done by acpi_pm_set_device_wakeup(),
so drop the now redundant device_set_run_wake() calls from there.

The run_wake flag in struct acpi_device_wakeup_flags stores the
information on whether or not the device can generate wakeup
signals at run time, but in ACPI that really is equivalent to
being able to generate wakeup signals at all.
In fact, run_wake will always be set after successful executeion of
acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake(), but if that fails, the device will not be
able to use a wakeup GPE at all, so it won't be able to wake up the
systems from sleep states too. Hence, run_wake actually means that
the device is capable of triggering wakeup and so it is equivalent
to the valid flag.
For this reason, drop run_wake from struct acpi_device_wakeup_flags
and make sure that the valid flag is only set if
acpi_setup_gpe_for_wake() has been successful.

The struct layout randomization plugin detects and randomizes any structs
that contain only function pointers. Once layout is randomized, all
initialization must be designated or the compiler will misalign the
assignments. This switches all the ACPICA function pointer struct to
use designated initializers, using the proposed upstream ACPICA macro:

Currently external aborts are unsupported by the guest abort
handling. Add handling for SEAs so that the host kernel reports
SEAs which occur in the guest kernel.
When an SEA occurs in the guest kernel, the guest exits and is
routed to kvm_handle_guest_abort(). Prior to this patch, a print
message of an unsupported FSC would be printed and nothing else
would happen. With this patch, the code gets routed to the APEI
handling of SEAs in the host kernel to report the SEA information.

ARM APEI extension proposal added SEA (Synchronous External Abort)
notification type for ARMv8.
Add a new GHES error source handling function for SEA. If an error
source's notification type is SEA, then this function can be registered
into the SEA exception handler. That way GHES will parse and report
SEA exceptions when they occur.
An SEA can interrupt code that had interrupts masked and is treated as
an NMI. To aid this the page of address space for mapping APEI buffers
while in_nmi() is always reserved, and ghes_ioremap_pfn_nmi() is
changed to use the helper methods to find the prot_t to map with in
the same way as ghes_ioremap_pfn_irq().

A RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) controller
may be a separate processor running in parallel with OS
execution, and may generate error records for consumption by
the OS. If the RAS controller produces multiple error records,
then they may be overwritten before the OS has consumed them.
The Generic Hardware Error Source (GHES) v2 structure
introduces the capability for the OS to acknowledge the
consumption of the error record generated by the RAS
controller. A RAS controller supporting GHESv2 shall wait for
the acknowledgment before writing a new error record, thus
eliminating the race condition.
Add support for parsing of GHESv2 sub-tables as well.
