This patch changes the compatibility string to match with the smallest
supported chip (EP7209). Since the DT-support for this CPU is not yet
announced, this change is safe.

IS_ERR_VALUE() assumes that its parameter is an unsigned long.
It can not be used to check if an unsigned int reflects an error.
Doing so can result in the following build warning.
drivers/tty/serial/clps711x.c: In function ‘uart_clps711x_probe’:
include/linux/err.h:21:38: warning:
comparison is always false due to limited range of data type
drivers/tty/serial/clps711x.c:471:6: note: in expansion of macro ‘IS_ERR_VALUE’
If that warning is seen, an error return from platform_get_irq() is missed.
Use a temporary variable to check for errors from platform_get_irq().
Also don't use IS_ERR_VALUE() to check if an integer variable is < 0.
The variable can be checked directly in that case.

This is done before adding more functionality to the init function with
the existing name. As this new functionality conflicts with stuff
drivers are required to implement themselves up to I want to convert
them one by one to make reviewing and reverting more easy in case I
broke something.
Once mctrl_gpio_init is there and all drivers are converted
mctrl_gpio_init_noauto can be removed again.

Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1.
They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform
drivers. They touch a lot of files, but they are "simple" changes, just
removing a line in a structure.
Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There are
some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been acked by
the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs changes.
Everything has been in linux-next for a while.

UART drivers which enable modem status interrupts when switching
to N_PPS line discipline need to determine if modem status
interrupts should be disabled when switching from N_PPS.
Specifically, the set_ldisc() notification needs to evaluate
UART_ENABLE_MS() which requires termios->c_cflag.
Convert in-tree UART drivers to new interface.

CLPS711X serial driver uses the system wide registers to control the
modem signals. Now gpio-syscon driver can be used for this purposes.
mctrl_gpio helpers allow us to create GPIO bindings for any of modem/tty
control signals that extends the functionality of the driver.
This patch makes such change.
This change does not break any current DT bindings, since DT support
for this platform is not introduced yet.

The nice thing about devm_* is that the driver doesn't need to free the
resources but the driver core takes care about that.

The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release
or on probe failure, since commit 0998d06310
(device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound).
Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL.

Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use
tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many
call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more
tty_port_tty_get in those paths.
Now, the one where most of tty_port_tty_get gets removed:
tty_flip_buffer_push.
IOW we also closed all the races in drivers not using tty_port_tty_get
at all yet.
Also we move tty_flip_buffer_push declaration from include/linux/tty.h
to include/linux/tty_flip.h to all others while we are changing it
anyway.
