Guennadi Liakhovetski 3071cafb7f mmc: tmio: use generic GPIO CD and WP handlers
The tmio-mmc driver is already using the generic GPIO CD handler in IRQ
mode. This patch adds support for CD polling mode and also checks for
availability of a WP GPIO.

Guennadi Liakhovetski 7d17baa05d mmc: sh_mmcif: add regulator support
Add regulator support to the sh_mmcif driver, but also preserve the current
power-callback.

Also note, that the card power is not switched off during clock gating
periods, hence there's no need to power it on every time the card is
re-activated.

Guennadi Liakhovetski e2ee996eaa mmc: sh_mmcif: remove redundant .down_pwr() callback
From the original version of sh_mmcif the .set_pwr() callback has only been
used to turn the card's power on, and the .down_pwr() callback has been
used to turn it off. .set_pwr() can be used for both these tasks, which is
also how it is implemented by the only user of this API: the SH7724 ecovec
board.

Guennadi Liakhovetski a660926710 mmc: sh_mmcif: re-read the clock frequency every time it is turned on
With aggressive clock gating the clock can be disabled during interface
inactivity. During this time its frequency can be changed by another its
user. Therefore when the interface is activated again and the clock is
re-enabled, its frequency has to be re-read.

Guennadi Liakhovetski b289174ff7 mmc: sh_mmcif: fix clock management
Regardless of whether the MMC bus clock is the same as the PM clock on
this specific interface, it has to be managed separately. Its proper
management should also include enabling and disabling of the clock,
whenever the interface is becoming active or going idle respectively.

Guennadi Liakhovetski 71da63e767 mmc: sdhi: do not install dummy callbacks
Currently the SDHI glue for the TMIO MMC driver installs dummy .get_cd() and
.set_pwr() callbacks even if the platform didn't supply them. This is not
necessary, since the TMIO MMC driver itself checks for NULL callbacks. This
is also dubious if the platform provides a regulator for SD-card power
switching. It is better to only install those callbacks, if they are really
provided by the platform.

Laurent Pinchart 6de707f200 mmc: tmio: Don't access hardware registers after stopping clocks
The tmio_mmc_set_ios() function configures the MMC power, clock and bus
width. When the mmc core requests the driver to power off the card, we
inform runtime PM, that the controller can be suspended. This can lead
to the MSTP clock being turned off.

Writing to any 16-bit hardware registers with the MSTP clock off leads
to timeouts and errors being printed to the kernel log. This can occur
both when stopping the MMC clock and when configuring the bus width.

To fix this, stop the MMC clock before calling put_runtime_pm(), and
skip bus width configuration when power is off.

Laurent Pinchart 7541ca9847 mmc: sh_mmcif: Support MMC_SLEEP_AWAKE command
The MMC_SLEEP_AWAKE and SD_IO_SEND_OP_COND commands share the same
opcode. SD_IO_SEND_OP_COND isn't supported by the SH MMCIF, but
MMC_SLEEP_AWAKE is. Discriminate between the two commands using the
command flags, and reject SD_IO_SEND_OP_COND only.

Girish K S 94c6cee91b mmc: dw_mmc: Add check for IDMAC configuration
In the current dwmmc driver there is support for selecting IDMAC from
the menu config option. If the support for IDMAC is enabled in the menu
config and the hardware configuration register's DMA_INTERFACE field is
0, the driver will still try to do the DMA initialization.

The dw_mci_idmac_init function currently implemented returns only success
indicating that the DMA initialization is always successful. This patch
adds a check for existence of the DMA IP to allow the DMA initialization.

Guennadi Liakhovetski 0e79f9ae16 mmc: sh_mmcif: switch to the new DMA channel allocation and configuration
Using the "private" field from struct dma_chan is deprecated. The sh
dmaengine driver now also supports the preferred DMA channel allocation
and configuration method, using a standard filter function and a channel
configuration operation. This patch updates sh_mmcif to use this new
method.

Now that all users have been updated to use the embedded in struct
sh_mmcif_plat_data DMA slave IDs, struct sh_mmcif_dma is no longer needed
and can be removed. This also makes preparation to the shdma base library
conversion easier.

Ming Lei fe85227347 Revert "mmc: omap_hsmmc: Enable Auto CMD12"
This patch reverts the commit dba3c29ea4.

After bisecting, this commit dba3c29 is found to ruin micro-SD card data
(writing incorrect file, or fs is corrupt after several times mount)
on the beagle-xm revB, and reverting the commit will fix the problem.

Also from TRM of OMAP3/OMAP4/DM37x, the below is mentioned about
the Auto CMD12 Enable bit.
        - SDIO does not support this feature.
        - SD card only.
Looks it is not suitable to always enable Auto CMD12 in host controller
driver.

Considered that the commit is not mature enough, so ask to revert it
first.

Roland Stigge 2805b9ab7c ARM: 7427/1: mmc: mmci: Defer probe() in case of yet uninitialized GPIOs
If the GPIOs used by the MMCI driver are not registered yet when the driver is
probe()d, they can't be used. This happens if the mmci driver is probed before
the respective GPIO controller (e.g. on the LPC32xx EA3250 board, the PCA9532
GPIO controller would be initialized via DT after mmci). Therefore, we defer
mmci in this case.

When booting with Device Tree enabled, platform specific information
is gathered by parsing the DT binary. Platform data is subsequently
populated with the result. The memory required for this is not
automatically allocated during Device Tree boot, so we'll do it here
instead.

Tony Lindgren ebbe6f889f mmc: omap: Fix broken reg_shift initialization
Commit fa550189 (mmc: core: Prevent eMMC VCC supply to be cut from late init)
slightly affected timings for how things are done for the omap MMC driver
causing the MMC cards not getting detected any longer.

Turns out this was caused by buggy reg_shift initialization in the omap
MMC driver that was happening after mmc_add_host() was being called.

Fix this by initializing reg_shift before mmc_add_host() is called.

Seungwon Jeon e419990b5e mmc: dw_mmc: correct the calculation for CLKDIV
In case of "host->bus_hz < slot->clock", divider value is
miscalculated. And clock divider register value is multiple of 2. If

IDMAC may not be cleaned in driver probe if it has been already used in
boot time. So IDMAC needs sw reset newly. And DMA interface reset
precedes the internal DMAC reset. Additionally SDMMC_IDMAC_SWRESET is
replaced with magic code.

Seungwon Jeon eed6c63cef mmc: dw_mmc: fix the transmission handling in IDMAC
DTO interrupt can be later than transmit interrupt(IDMAC) in case of
write. Current handling of IDMAC interrupt sets EVENT_DATA_COMPLETE as
well as EVENT_XFER_COMPLETE regardless of DTO rising. This makes the
current request finish in tasklet and permits the next request even
though current data transfer is still in progress. As a result, sequence
is broken and lock-up happens. Setting EVENT_DATA_COMPLETE is not proper
after IDMAC interrupt. It should be taken after DTO interrupt is
generated.

Chris Ball 09eeff52bf mmc: sdhci: Use DBG() instead of pr_warning() on large timeout
3bdc9ba892 ("mmc: use really long write timeout to deal with crappy
cards") in 3.4 increased the write timeout that the core sends to host
drivers to 3 seconds.  This makes sdhci's "requested timeout too large"
warning trigger on every write; so, change this pr_warning() to a DBG().

Pull arm soc-specific pinctrl changes from Olof Johansson:
 "With this, five platforms are moving to the relatively new pinctrl
  subsystem for their pin management, replacing the older soc specific
  in-kernel interfaces with common code.

  There is quite a bit of net addition of code for each platform being
  added to the pinctrl subsystem.  But the payback comes later when
  adding new boards can be done by only providing new device trees
  instead."

The flag of IRQF_ONESHOT should be passed to request_threaded_irq,
otherwise the following failure message should be dumped because
hardware handler is defined as NULL:

The patch fixes one kernel hang bug which is caused by mmc card

Ludovic Desroches 7a90dcc2d7 mmc: atmel-mci: the r/w proof capability lack was not well managed
First mci IPs (mainly on rm9200 and 9261) don't have the r/w proof
capability.  The driver didn't work correctly without this capability
in PDC mode because of the double buffer switch which is too slow
even if we stop the transfer to perform this switch.

The sdio interrupt mask bits are arranged in [31:16].
(1 << SDMMC_INT_SDIO(slot->id))) does 16 bits left shift twice.

Thomas Abraham 95dcc2cb6c mmc: dw_mmc: make multiple instances of dw_mci_card_workqueue
The variable 'dw_mci_card_workqueue' is a global variable shared between
multiple instances of the dw_mmc host controller. Due to this, data
corruption has been noticed when multiple instances of dw_mmc controllers
are actively reading/writing the media. Fix this by adding a instance
of 'struct workqueue_struct' for each host instance and removing the
global 'dw_mci_card_workqueue' instance.

Linus Walleij 34fd421349 ARM: 7378/1: mmci: add support for the Nomadik MMCI variant
The Nomadik variant is somewhere inbetween the U300 and the Ux500
variant, its actually expose the same primecell ID as the U300
but had different characteristics so it needs a small revision
bump and hard-coding from the board/device tree. After this it
works just fine.

Sascha Hauer 6187fee46f mmc: remove imxmmc driver
This driver is broken since 2.6.31 when the traditional i.MX1
support was removed.

In theory the i.MX1 mmc controller can be supported by the mxcmmc
driver which basically is the same hardware. However, the i.MX1
controller has severe bugs which made several workarounds necessary which
resulted in a different driver structure. At that time it seemed easier
to write a second driver to support hardware without bugs.

As noone cared for the i.MX1 driver for a long time and it does
not compile, remove it.

Rajendra Nayak cd03d9a858 mmc: omap_hsmmc: Cleanup use of cpu_is_* for debounce_clock
There really does not seem to be a need to use cpu_is_* check for getting
the debounce clock as clkdev is perfectly capable of handling situations
when certain clocks are only available on select platforms.

Also get rid of the 'got_dbclk' flag and instead use the dbclk clock
pointer to know if a valid debounce clock exists for the platform.

Daniel Drake 87b87a3fc0 mmc: sdhci: refine non-removable card checking for card detection
Commit c79396c191 ("mmc: sdhci: prevent card detection activity
for non-removable cards") disables card detection where the cards
are marked as non-removable.

This makes sense, but the implementation detail of calling
mmc_card_is_removable() causes some problems, because
mmc_card_is_removable() is overloaded with CONFIG_MMC_UNSAFE_RESUME
semantics.

In the OLPC XO case, we need CONFIG_MMC_UNSAFE_RESUME because our root
filesystem is stored on SD, but we also have external SD card slots
where we want automatic card detection.

Refine the check to only apply to hosts marked as MMC_CAP_NONREMOVABLE,
which is defined to mean that the card is *really* nonremovable. This
could be revisited in future if we find a way to improve
CONFIG_MMC_UNSAFE_RESUME semantics.

Seungwon Jeon a99aa9b9b4 mmc: dw_mmc: Fix switch from DMA to PIO
When dw_mci_pre_dma_transfer returns failure in some reasons,
dw_mci_submit_data will prepare to switch the PIO mode from DMA.
After switching to PIO mode, DMA(IDMAC in particular) is still
enabled. This makes the corruption in handling interrupt and
the driver lock-up.

Rajendra Nayak 4d048f915f mmc: omap_hsmmc: Get rid of of_have_populated_dt() usage
of_have_populated_dt() is not expected to be used in drivers but
instead only in early platform init code.
Drivers on the other hand should rely on dev->of_node or of_match_device().
Besides usage of of_have_populated_dt() also throws up build error as below
which was reported by Balaji TK, when omap_hsmmc is built as a module.

Al Cooper 4188bba0e9 mmc: Prevent 1.8V switch for SD hosts that don't support UHS modes.
The driver should not try to switch to 1.8V when the SD 3.0 host
controller does not have any UHS capabilities bits set (SDR50, DDR50
or SDR104). See page 72 of "SD Specifications Part A2 SD Host
Controller Simplified Specification Version 3.00" under
"1.8V Signaling Enable". Instead of setting SDR12 and SDR25 in the host
capabilities data structure for all V3.0 host controllers, only set them
if SDR104, SDR50 or DDR50 is set in the host capabilities register. This
will prevent the switch to 1.8V later.

Balaji T K fc307df88f mmc: omap_hsmmc: fix module re-insertion
OMAP4 and OMAP3 HSMMC IP registers differ by 0x100 offset.
Adding the offset to platform_device resource structure
increments the start address for every insmod operation.
MMC command fails on re-insertion as module due to incorrect register
base.  Fix this by updating the ioremap base address only.

Simon Horman f938825704 mmc: sh_mmcif: double clock speed
Correct an off-by one error when calculating the clock divisor in cases
where the host clock is a power of two of the target clock.  Previously the
divisor was one greater than the correct value in these cases leading to
the clock being set at half the desired speed.

Julia Lawall 9bda6da7ff mmc: sdhci-s3c: use devm_ functions
The various devm_ functions allocate memory that is released when a driver
detaches.  This patch uses these functions for data that is allocated in
the probe function of a platform device and is only freed in the remove
function.

By using devm_ioremap, it also removes a potential memory leak, because
there was no call to iounmap in the probe function.

The call to platform_get_resource was moved just to make it closer to the
place where its result it used.

Thomas Abraham 3119936a28 mmc: sdhci-s3c: Remove usage of clk_type member in platform data
SDHCI controllers on Exynos4 do not include the sdclk divider as per the
sdhci controller specification. This case can be represented using the
sdhci quirk SDHCI_QUIRK_NONSTANDARD_CLOCK instead of using an additional
enum type definition 'clk_types'.

Hence, usage of clk_type member in platform data is removed and the sdhci
quirk is used. In addition to that, since this qurik is SoC specific,
driver data is introduced to represent controllers on SoC's that require
this quirk.

Guennadi Liakhovetski 7f52421743 mmc: sh_mobile_sdhi: support modular mmc-core with non-standard hotplug
Currently if a platform wants to implement a non-standard card-detection
method, it would need to call tmio_mmc_cd_wakeup(), which is an inline
function, calling mmc_detect_change(). For this the platform would have
to link mmc_core statically into the kernel, losing the ability to build
it as a module. This patch adds a callback to the sh_mobile_sdhi driver,
which eliminates this dependency.

On sh-mobile platforms the MMC clock frequency for the TMIO MMC unit is
obtained from the same clock, as the one, that runtime power-manages the
controller. The SDHI glue code has to access that clock directly,
bypassing the runtime PM framework, to get its frequency, but it
shouldn't enable or disable it.

Alexander Stein 6379b2375a mmc: sdhci: check interrupt flags in ISR again
When using MSI it is possible that a new MSI is sent while an earlier
MSI is currently handled. In this case SDHCI_INT_STATUS only contains
SDHCI_INT_RESPONSE and the ISR would not be called again. But at the end
of the ISR SDHCI_INT_DATA_END is now also pending which would be ignored.

Fix this by rereading the interrupt flags in the ISR until no interrupt
we care is pending.

Ido Yariv ee698f5034 mmc: davinci: Poll status for small size transfers
For small size non-dma sdio transactions, it is sometimes better to poll
the mmc host and avoid interrupts altogether. Polling lowers the number
of interrupts and context switches. Tests have shown that for small
transactions, only a few polling iterations are needed, so this is worth
while.

Ido Yariv be7b5622e6 mmc: davinci: Eliminate spurious interrupts
The davinci mmc interrupt handler fills the fifo, as long as the DXRDY
or DRRDY bits are set in the status register.

If interrupts fire during this loop, they will be handled by the
handler, but the interrupt controller will still buffer these. As a
result, the handler will be called again to serve these needlessly. In
order to avoid these spurious interrupts, keep interrupts masked while
filling the fifo.

Rajendra Nayak 1f84b71b3f mmc: omap_hsmmc: Avoid a regulator voltage change with dt
When booting with Device tree, the omap_hsmmc driver does not
program the pbias cell (inside OMAP control module) during
a regulator voltage change.

In case of non-dt boot, this is handled using callbacks
from within platform_data and implemented in machine code.
To be able to do this with device tree, without invoking
any machine code, a OMAP control module driver is needed
which is yet missing.

The pbias cell is used to provide a 1.8v or 3.0v reference
to the mmc/sd/sdio1 interface supporting both 1.8v and 3.0v
voltages.

Until a OMAP control module driver is available to handle this,
when booting with a device tree blob, never change the regulator
voltage which might then require a pbias cell re-program.
There are 2 instances where in the mmc regulator voltage can be
changed.
-1- when the regulator is turned OFF.
-2- when attempting a switch to 1.8v from 3.0v for dual volt cards

This patch avoids a voltage change in both cases when booting from
device tree, and hence compromises on power savings.
Once the OMAP control module driver is available and hsmmc driver
is modified to then do pbias programming even when booting
with device tree, these limitaions can be removed to achieve better
power savings.

Use omap_hsmmc_235_set_poweri() (now renamed as omap_hsmmc_set_power())

omap_hsmmc_235_set_power() seems to be implemented as a superset of
omap_hsmmc_1_set_power() with additional functionality implemented
based on additional checks and hence should just work for MMC1

Seungwon Jeon 885c3e800c mmc: dw_mmc: Regression fix for non-IDMAC DMA
3ec7699d3bb1b0ee7 ("mmc: dw_mmc: Add support for pre_req and post_req")
broke non-IDMAC DMA, because dw_mci_pre_dma_transfer() is valid only if
using internal DMA. In case of using other DMA it returns -ENOSYS. It
prevents the DMA operations.  This patch makes dw_mci_pre_dma_transfer()
effective in all DMA cases again.

[1] Background :
    The GPMI does ECC read page operation with a DMA chain consist of three DMA
    Command Structures. The middle one of the chain is used to enable the BCH,
    and read out the NAND page.

    The WAIT4END(wait for command end) is a comunication signal between
    the GPMI and MXS-DMA.

[2] The current DMA code sets the WAIT4END bit at the last one, such as:

SD card read was failing (data crc error) on some cards at
maximum possible frequency on P1010 (CCB frequency set to 400MHz).

Stephen Warren 3e44a1a7d2 mmc: sdhci-tegra: Explicitly support Tegra30
Tegra30 differs from Tegra20 in a number of ways. This patch implements a
minimal set of differences in order to get the Cardhu board's SD slot and
eMMC working. Given the diffs between the mainline sdhci-tegra.c and our
downstream versions, I expect we'll eventually need to add many more
differences, hence the seemingly heavy-weight addition of the soc_data
structure.

* Tegra30 doesn't need to override register access to SDHCI_HOST_VERSION or
  SDHCI_INT_ENABLE.

* Tegra30 needs quirk SDHCI_QUIRK_DATA_TIMEOUT_USES_SDCLK.

For FSL ESDHC controllers, when entering sleep the controller will power off,
therefore the registers will lose their values, and the driver should save
the value of registers during suspend and write them back during resume.
