Ashish Jangam f6130be652 regulator: DA9055 regulator driver
This is the Regulator patch for the DA9055 PMIC and has got dependency on
the DA9055 MFD core.

This patch support all of the DA9055 regulators. The output voltages are
fully programmable through I2C interface only. The platform data with regulation
constraints is passed down from the board to the regulator.

This patch is functionaly tested on SMDK6410 board. DA9055 Evaluation board
was connected to the SMDK6410 board.

Laxman Dewangan 64e481603a mfd: tps6586x: move regulator dt parsing to regulator driver
Moving regulator node parsing to regulator driver in place
of parsing it on mfd driver.
The motivation for this change are:
- MFD core driver should not depends on regulator and able
  to instantiate device without regulator.
- The API for matching regulators are in regulator core and
it is good that regulator driver only calls this API.
- Regulator specific support should be in regulator driver only
to ease any enhancement/modification for regulators.
- The regulator driver is now registered as mfd sub device and
all regulator registration is done from single probe call.

Linus Torvalds f5a246eab9 Sound updates for 3.7-rc1
This contains pretty many small commits covering fairly large range of
files in sound/ directory. Partly because of additional API support
and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff.

 Some highlights:

 - Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the
channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI
drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later

 - Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if
   the bus is supported)

 - HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support of
D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs kicks
off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode.

 - Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of
firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in HD-audio
are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic auto
parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in addition to
   the support of channel-map API.

 - Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the
   mid-x86 drivers.

 - Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and
   DaVinci.

 - Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine.

 - New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells.

 - New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010.

 - Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers

 - A new driver for DA9055 and the support for regulator bypass mode.

Linus Torvalds 11126c611e Merge branch 'akpm' (Andrew's patch-bomb)
Merge misc patches from Andrew Morton:
"The MM tree is rather stuck while I wait to find out what the heck is
happening with sched/numa. Probably I'll need to route around all the
code which was added to -next, sigh.

So this is "everything else", or at least most of it - other small
bits are still awaiting resolutions of various kinds."

Linus Torvalds 578f1ef91a MFD bits for the 3.7 merge window.
As usual we have a few new drivers:

 - TI LP8788
 - TI OMAP USB TLL
 - Maxim MAX8907
 - SMSC ECE1099
 - Dialog Semiconductor DA9055
 - A simpler syscon driver that allow us to get rid of the anatop one.

Drivers are also gradually getting Device Tree and IRQ domain support.

The following drivers got DT support:
 - palmas, 88pm860x, tc3589x and twl4030-audio

And those ones now use the IRQ domain APIs:
 - 88pm860x, tc3589x, db8500_prcmu

 Also some other interesting changes:
 - Intel's ICH LPC now supports Lynx Point
 - TI's twl4030-audio added a GPO child
 - tps6527 enabled its backlight subdevice
 - The twl6030 pwm driver moved to the new PWM subsystem

And finally a bunch of cleanup and casual fixes for mc13xxx, 88pm860x, palmas,
 ab8500, wm8994, wm5110, max8907 and the tps65xxx family.

Linus Torvalds 61464c8357 ARM: soc: general cleanups
This is a large branch that contains a handful of different cleanups:

 - Fixing up the I/O space remapping on PCI on ARM. This is a series
from Rob Herring that restructures how all pci devices allocate I/O
space, and it's part of the work to allow multiplatform kernels.
 - A number of cleanup series for OMAP, moving and removing some
headers, sparse irq rework and in general preparation for
   multiplatform.
 - Final removal of all non-DT boards for Tegra, it is now
   device-tree-only!
 - Removal of a stale platform, nxp4008. It's an old mobile chipset
that is no longer in use, and was very likely never really used with
a mainline kernel. We have not been able to find anyone interested
in keeping it around in the kernel.
 - Removal of the legacy dmaengine driver on tegra

The TPS65217 chip contains a boost converter and current sinks which can be

Tested on an AM335x based custom board with a single WLED string, using
different values for ISEL and FDIM (though it would be hard to tell the
difference except for the value in WLEDCTRL1). Both instantiation through the
device tree and by passing platform data have been tested. Testing has been

that appeared in v3.6-rc6 adds another argument to the mfd_add_devices()
call, and that makes commit a830d28b48 ("power_supply: Enable
battery-charger for 88pm860x", which is battery tree) no longer compatible
with the latest kernels.

This commit is used to merge upstream back into battery tree and
accommodate 88pm860x driver for the latest changes in MFD core.

Milo Kim eea6b7cc53 mfd: Add lp8788 mfd driver
TI LP8788 PMU provides regulators, battery charger, ADC,
RTC, backlight driver and current sinks.

This MFD patch supports the I2C communication using the regmap,
the interrupt handling using the linear IRQ domain and
configurable platform data structures for each driver module.

 (Driver Architecture)

                                         < mfd devices >
  LP8788 HW .......... mfd .......... regulator drivers
                I2C power supply driver
                IRQs iio adc driver
                                         rtc driver
                                         backlight driver
                                         current sink drivers

o regulators : LDOs and BUCKs
o power supply : Battery charger
  o iio adc : Battery voltage/temperature
o rtc : RTC and alarm
  o backlight
o current sink : LED and vibrator

All MFD device modules are registered by LP8788 MFD core driver.
For sharing information such like the virtual IRQ number,
MFD core driver uses the resource structure.
Then each module can retrieve the specific IRQ number and detect it
in the IRQ thread.

Configurable platform data is handled in each driver module.

Mark Brown 0848c94fb4 mfd: core: Push irqdomain mapping out into devices
Currently the MFD core supports remapping MFD cell interrupts using an
irqdomain but only if the MFD is being instantiated using device tree
and only if the device tree bindings use the pattern of registering IPs
in the device tree with compatible properties. This will be actively
harmful for drivers which support non-DT platforms and use this pattern
for their DT bindings as it will mean that the core will silently change
remapping behaviour and it is also limiting for drivers which don't do
DT with this particular pattern. There is also a potential fragility if
there are interrupts not associated with MFD cells and all the cells are
omitted from the device tree for some reason.

Instead change the code to take an IRQ domain as an optional argument,
allowing drivers to take the decision about the parent domain for their
interrupts. The one current user of this feature is ab8500-core, it has
the domain lookup pushed out into the driver.

MFD core now takes care of HWIRQ <-> VIRQ mapping, so the helper

Jean Delvare 4f600ada70 gpio: gpio-ich: Share ownership of GPIO groups
The ICH chips have their GPIO pins organized in 2 or 3 independent
groups of 32 GPIO pins. It can happen that the ACPI BIOS wants to make
use of pins in one group, preventing the OS to access these. This does
not prevent the OS from accessing the other group(s).

This is the case for example on my Asus Z8NA-D6 board. The ACPI BIOS
wants to control GPIO 18 (group 1), while I (the OS) need to control
GPIO 52 and 53 (group 2) for SMBus multiplexing.

So instead of checking for ACPI resource conflict on the whole I/O
range, check on a per-group basis, and consider it a success if at
least one of the groups is available for the OS to use.

Mark Brown 55692af5eb mfd: core: Push irqdomain mapping out into devices
Currently the MFD core supports remapping MFD cell interrupts using an
irqdomain but only if the MFD is being instantiated using device tree

in the device tree with compatible properties. This will be actively
harmful for drivers which support non-DT platforms and use this pattern

Fix up mostly trivial conflicts, with the exception of
drivers/usb/host/ehci-omap.c in particular, which had some
re-organization of the reset sequence (commit 1a49e2ac9651: "EHCI:
centralize controller initialization") that clashed with commit
2761a63945 ("mfd: USB: Fix the omap-usb EHCI ULPI PHY reset fix
issues").

In particular, commit 2761a63945 moved the usb_add_hcd() to the
*middle* of the reset sequence, which clashes fairly badly with the
reset sequence re-organization (although it could have been done inside
the new omap_ehci_init() function).

I left that part of commit 2761a63945 just undone.

Lee Jones c94bb233a9 mfd: Make MFD core code Device Tree and IRQ domain aware
During Device Tree enablement of the ab8500 and db8500-prcmu drivers,
a decision was made to omit registration through the MFD API and use
Device Tree directly. However, because MFD devices have a different
address space and the ab8500 and db8500 both use I2C to communicate,
this causes issues with address translation during execution of
of_platform_populate(). So the solution is to make the MFD core aware
of Device Tree and have it assign the correct node pointers instead.

To make this work the MFD core also needs to be awere of IRQ domains,
as Device Tree insists on IRQ domain compatibility. So, instead of
providing an irq-base via platform code, in the DT case we simply
look up the IRQ domain and map to the correct virtual IRQ.

Axel Lin d172f319c1 regulator: tps65217: Convert LDO1 to use regulator_list_voltage_table
Convert tps65217_pmic_ldo1_ops to use regulator_list_voltage_table.

We have n_voltages and volt_table settings in regulator_desc,
so we don't need the table and table_len fields in struct tps_info.
Thus remove them from struct tps_info.

Mark Brown 3cc7298694 mfd: arizona: Core driver
Several forthcoming Wolfson devices are based on a common platform
known as Arizona allowing a great deal of reuse of driver code. This
patch adds core support for these devices.

In order to handle systems which do not use the generic clock API a
simple wrapper for the 32kHz clock domain in the devices is provided.
Once the generic clock API is widely available this code will be moved
over to use that.

For simplicity some WM5102 specific code is included in the core driver,
the effort involved in splitting the device out isn't worth it.

Sangbeom Kim c848bc8538 regulator: s5m8767a: Support AP watchdog reset operation
The S5M8767A can't know status of ap reset.
So, After AP watchdog reset, AP can't boot normally.

Problem can be happened like below condition.
- AP Bootable lowest voltage(vdd_arm): 0.9v
- AP DVFS voltage table: 0.8v, 0.9v, 1.0v
- During AP works on lowest voltage(0.8V), watchdog reset is asserted
- AP can't boot, because vdd arm is still 0.8v

Solution
- Basic concept:
After ap watchdog reset, GPIO configuration is changed by default value
- S5M8767A has function of voltage control with gpio (8 levels with 3 gpios)
- Set bootable voltage on level 0 -> can work with default gpio configuration
- In the probing, Change voltage control level from level 0 to level 1
- Execute normal dvfs operation on level 1
- After watchdog reset, ap gpio is set by default value
- PMIC operation mode is changed by ap reset (level1 -> level0)
- Regardless of previous vdd_arm voltage, AP always can be booted.

Axel Lin b4bc9ef625 regulator: tps65217: Convert to regulator_[is_enabled|get_voltage_sel]_regmap
This patch converts .is_enabled and .get_voltage_sel to
regulator_is_enabled_regmap and regulator_get_voltage_sel_regmap.

For .enable, .disable, and .set_voltage_sel, the write protect level is either
1 or 2. So we cannot use regulator_[enable|disable|set_voltage_sel]_regmap.

Now we store the enable reg/mask and vsel reg/mask in regulator_desc,
so we can remove enable_mask, set_vout_reg, and set_vout_mask from
struct tps_info.

Linus Torvalds b1bf7d4d1b GPIO driver changes for v3.5 merge window
Lots of gpio changes, both to core code and drivers. Changes do touch
architecture code to remove the need for separate arm/gpio.h includes
in most architectures. Some new drivers are added, and a number of
gpio drivers are converted to use irq_domains for gpio inputs used as
interrupts. Device tree support has been amended to allow multiple
gpio_chips to use the same device tree node. Remaining changes are
 primarily bug fixes.

Linus Torvalds 2e341ca686 Sound updates for 3.5-rc1
This is the first big chunk for 3.5 merges of sound stuff.
There are a few big changes in different areas. First off, the
streaming logic of USB-audio endpoints has been largely rewritten
for the better support of "implicit feedback". If anything about USB
got broken, this change has to be checked.

For HD-audio, the resume procedure was changed; instead of delaying
the resume of the hardware until the first use, now waking up immediately
at resume. This is for buggy BIOS.

For ASoC, dynamic PCM support and the improved support for digital links
between off-SoC devices are major framework changes.

 Some highlights are below:

 * HD-audio
 - Avoid the accesses of invalid pin-control bits that may stall the codec
 - V-ref setup cleanups
 - Fix the races in power-saving code
 - Fix the races in codec cache hashes and connection lists
 - Split some common codes for BIOS auto-parser to hda_auto_parser.c
 - Changed the PM resume code to wake up immediately for buggy BIOS
 - Creative SoundCore3D support
 - Add Conexant CX20751/2/3/4 codec support

 * ASoC
 - Dynamic PCM support, allowing support for SoCs with internal routing
through components with tight sequencing and formatting constraints
within their internal paths or where there are multiple components
connected with CPU managed DMA controllers inside the SoC.
 - Greatly improved support for direct digital links between off-SoC
devices, providing a much simpler way of connecting things like digital
   basebands to CODECs.
 - Much more fine grained and robust locking, cleaning up some of the
confusion that crept in with multi-component.
 - CPU support for nVidia Tegra 30 I2S and audio hub controllers and
   ST-Ericsson MSP I2S controolers
 - New CODEC drivers for Cirrus CS42L52, LAPIS Semiconductor ML26124, Texas
   Instruments LM49453.
 - Some regmap changes needed by the Tegra I2S driver.
 - mc13783 audio support.

 * Misc
 - Rewrite with module_pci_driver()
 - Xonar DGX support for snd-oxygen
 - Improvement of packet handling in snd-firewire driver
 - New USB-endpoint streaming logic
 - Enhanced M-audio FTU quirks and relevant cleanups
 - Increment the support of OSS devices to 256
 - snd-aloop accuracy improvement

There are a few more pending changes for 3.5, but they will be
sent slightly later as partly depending on the changes of DRM.

Linus Torvalds 5d4e2d08e7 Driver core pull for 3.5-rc1
Here's the driver core, and other driver subsystems, pull request for
 the 3.5-rc1 merge window.

Outside of a few minor driver core changes, we ended up with the
following different subsystem and core changes as well, due to
 interdependancies on the driver core:
  - hyperv driver updates
  - drivers/memory being created and some drivers moved into it
  - extcon driver subsystem created out of the old Android staging switch
    driver code
  - dynamic debug updates
  - printk rework, and /dev/kmsg changes

All of this has been tested in the linux-next releases for a few weeks
 with no reported problems.

Linus Torvalds ac1806572d regulator updates for 3.5
The major thing here is the addition of some helpers to factor code out
of drivers, making a fair proportion of regulators much more just data
rather than code which is nice.

 - Helpers in the core for regulators using regmap, providing generic
implementations of the enable and voltage selection operations which
just need data to describe them in the drivers.
 - Split out voltage mapping and voltage setting, allowing many more
drivers to take advantage of the infrastructure for selectors.
 - Loads and loads of cleanups from Axel Lin once again, including many
changes to take advantage of the above new framework features
 - New drivers for Ricoh RC5T583, TI TPS62362, TI TPS62363, TI TPS65913,
   TI TWL6035 and TI TWL6037.

Some of the registration changes to support the core refactoring caused
so many conflicts that eventually topic branches were abandoned for this
 release.

Mark Brown cd99758ba3 mfd: Convert wm831x to irq_domain
The modern idiom is to use irq_domain to allocate interrupts. This is
useful partly to allow further infrastructure to be based on the domains
and partly because it makes it much easier to allocate virtual interrupts
to devices as we don't need to allocate a contiguous range of interrupt
numbers.

Convert the wm831x driver over to this infrastructure, using a legacy
IRQ mapping if an irq_base is specified in platform data and otherwise
using a linear mapping, always registering the interrupts even if they
won't ever be used. Only boards which need to use the GPIOs as
interrupts should need to use an irq_base.

This means that we can't use the MFD irq_base management since the
unless we're using an explicit irq_base from platform data we can't rely
on a linear mapping of interrupts. Instead we need to map things via
the irq_domain - provide a conveniencem function wm831x_irq() to save a
small amount of typing when doing so. Looking at this I couldn't clearly
see anything the MFD core could do to make this nicer.

Since we're not supporting device tree yet there's no meaningful
advantage if we don't do this conversion in one, the fact that the
interrupt resources are used for repeated IP blocks makes accessor
functions for the irq_domain more trouble to do than they're worth.
