Fix port-data memory leak by replacing attach and release with

We already do that as part of the ringbuffer re-setup at resume time.
Furthermore the register offset has moved on gen6+ around quite a bit,
and on ilk/gm45 we also need to restore the HWS reg for the bsd ring,
not just the render ring.
So again in kms mode this is only confusing a best, hence don't
bother.

With the introduction of per-process GTT space, the hardware designers
thought it wise to also limit the ability to write to MMIO space to only
a "secure" batch buffer. The ability to rewrite registers is the only
way to program the hardware to perform certain operations like scanline
waits (required for tear-free windowed updates). So we either have a
choice of adding an interface to perform those synchronized updates
inside the kernel, or we permit certain processes the ability to write
to the "safe" registers from within its command stream. This patch
exposes the ability to submit a SECURE batch buffer to
DRM_ROOT_ONLY|DRM_MASTER processes.

There is a subtle difference between dma_transfer_direction and
dma_data_direction: the former is used by the dmaengine framework,
while the latter is used by the dma-mapping API. Although the
purpose is comparable, the actual values are different and must
not be mixed. In this case, the driver just wants to use
dma_transfer_direction.

The recovery thread, when failing, tears down the respective interface. To do
so, it needs to obtain the rtnl lock first, as the interface configuration is
changed.
If another process tries to modify an interface setting at the same time, that
process can obtain the rtnl lock first, but the respective callback in the qeth
driver will block until recovery has completed - which cannot happen since the
calling process already obtained it.
In one particular case, the bonding driver acquired the rtnl lock to modify the
card's MAC address, while the recovery failed at the same time due to the card
being removed. Hence qeth_l2_set_mac_address (implicitly holding the rtnl lock)
was waiting on qeth_l2_recover, which deadlocked when waiting on the rtnl lock.
This patch uses rtnl_trylock instead of rtnl_lock in the recovery thread. If the
lock cannot be obtained, the interface will be left up, but the card state
remains in CARD_STATE_RECOVER, which will prevent any further activities on the
card.

This patch (as1615) fixes a bug in the Garmin USB serial driver. It
uses attach, disconnect, and release routines to carry out actions
that should be handled by port_probe and port_remove routines, because
they access port-specific data.
The bug causes an oops when the device in unplugged, because the
private data for each port structure now gets erased when the port is

customers should update the BIOS as only it would know the optimal

Unfortunately this isn't fixing any of the issues it was targeted to

Commit 0236141837 ("thermal: add generic cpufreq cooling
implementation") requires cpufreq_frequency_get_table(), but that
function is only defined for CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE resulting in the
following build error:
drivers/built-in.o: In function `cpufreq_get_max_state':
drivers/thermal/cpu_cooling.c:259: undefined reference to `cpufreq_frequency_get_table'
drivers/built-in.o: In function `get_cpu_frequency':
drivers/thermal/cpu_cooling.c:129: undefined reference to `cpufreq_frequency_get_table'
Fix it by selecting CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE for such a configuration.
It turns out CONFIG_EXYNOS_THERMAL also needs CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE, so
select it there as well.

radeon_i2c_fini() walks thru the list of I2C bus recs rdev->i2c_bus[]
to destroy each of them.
radeon_ext_tmds_enc_destroy() however also has code to destroy it's
associated I2C bus rec which has been obtained by radeon_i2c_lookup()
and is therefore also in the i2c_bus[] list.
This causes a double free resulting in a kernel panic when unloading
the radeon driver.
Removing destroy code from radeon_ext_tmds_enc_destroy() fixes this
problem.

The compilation of the pinctrl driver failed on the legacy
Nomadik NHK8815 platform because it was not providing the PRCMU
interfaces needed to support the extended alternate functions
used by the ux500 series.
Solve this by providing some stubs for the legacy platform, to
avoid too much #ifdefs in the code per se. Theoretically this
actually allows the Nomadik and Ux500 to have a single kernel
image with support for the PRCM registers on the Ux500 (though
they have incompatible archs, but the spirit is there).

The prima2 platform advertises needing no mach/gpio.h header file,
but its pinctrl driver now has a sirfsoc_gpio_set_pull function
that uses constants defined in arch/arm/mach-prima2/include/mach/gpio.h,
which fails to build.
Fortunately, the sirfsoc_gpio_set_pull is not used anywhere in the
kernel, so we can safely remove it. Any out of tree drivers using
it will have to be converted to use proper pinctrl functions to
do the same.
Without this patch, building prima2_defconfig results in:

The samsung pinctrl driver has a probe function that is
__devinit and that calls a lot of other functions that are
marked __init, which kbuild complains about.
Marking everything __devinit means that the code does not
discarded when CONFIG_HOTPLUG is set, which is a little
more wasteful, but also more consistent
Without this patch, building exynos_defconfig results in:
WARNING: drivers/pinctrl/built-in.o(.devinit.text+0x124): Section mismatch in reference from the function samsung_pinctrl_probe() to the function .init.text:samsung_gpiolib_register()

Use the recently-added bio front_pad field to allocate struct dm_target_io.
Prior to this patch, dm_target_io was allocated from a mempool. For each
dm_target_io, there is exactly one bio allocated from a bioset.
This patch merges these two allocations into one allocation: we create a
bioset with front_pad equal to the size of dm_target_io so that every
bio allocated from the bioset has sizeof(struct dm_target_io) bytes
before it. We allocate a bio and use the bytes before the bio as
dm_target_io.
_tio_cache is removed and the tio_pool mempool is now only used for
request-based devices.

Support discards when the pool's block size is not a power of 2.
The block layer assumes discard_granularity is a power of 2 (in
blkdev_issue_discard), so we set this to the largest power of 2 that is
a divides into the number of sectors in each block, but never less than
DATA_DEV_BLOCK_SIZE_MIN_SECTORS.
This patch eliminates the "Discard support must be disabled when the
block size is not a power of 2" constraint that was imposed in commit
55f2b8b ("dm thin: support for non power of 2 pool blocksize"). That

initially in my tree due to oversight.
The feature is for kdump kernels to speed up the /proc/vmcore reading.
There is a ram_is_pfn helper function that the different platforms can
register for. We are now doing that.
The bug-fixes cover some embarrassing struct pv_cpu_ops variables
being set to NULL on Xen (but not baremetal). We had a similar issue
in the past with {write|read}_msr_safe and this fills the three
missing ones. The other bug-fix is to make the console output (hvc)
be capable of dealing with misbehaving backends and not fall flat on
its face. Lastly, a quirk for older XenBus implementations that came
with an ancient v3.4 hypervisor (so RHEL5 based) - reading of certain
non-existent attributes just hangs the guest during bootup - so we
take precaution of not doing that on such older installations.
Feature:

"xen/pv-on-hvm kexec: shutdown watches from old kernel" assumes that the

"control/platform-feature-xs_reset_watches":
... a patch for xenstored is required so that it
accepts the XS_RESET_WATCHES request from a client (see changeset
23839:42a45baf037d in xen-unstable.hg). Without the patch for xenstored
the registration of watches will fail and some features of a PVonHVM
guest are not available. The guest is still able to boot, but repeated
kexec boots will fail."
Sadly this is not true when using a Xen 3.4 hypervisor and booting a PVHVM
guest. We end up hanging at:
err = xenbus_scanf(XBT_NIL, "control",
"platform-feature-xs_reset_watches", "%d", &supported);
This can easily be seen with guests hanging at xenbus_init:

It is possible to miss data when using the kdb pager. The kdb pager
does not pay attention to the maximum column constraint of the screen
or serial terminal. This result is not incrementing the shown lines
correctly and the pager will print more lines that fit on the screen.
Obviously that is less than useful when using a VGA console where you
cannot scroll back.
The pager will now look at the kdb_buffer string to see how many
characters are printed. It might not be perfect considering you can
output ASCII that might move the cursor position, but it is a
substantially better approximation for viewing dmesg and trace logs.
This also means that the vt screen needs to set the kdb COLUMNS
variable.

It is a common enough mistake for people to specify "kdb" when they
meant to type "kbd" that the kgdboc can just accept both since they
both mean the same thing anyway. Specifically it is for the case
where you want kdb to be active on your graphics console + keyboard
(where kbd was the original abbreviation for keyboard).
With this change kgdboc will now accept either to mean the same thing:
kgdboc=kbd

Backlight is initialized for eDP, but cleaned up only for eDP on DP-D
port. This leaves behind a dangling backlight interface on module unload on
machines that have eDP connected to something other than DP-D, and breaks
the backlight interface for subsequent module reloads. Fix the cleanup, and
thus module reload on affected machines.

This seems to be the root-cause that breaks resume on my i855gm when I
apply the "drm/i915: fixup the plane->pipe fixup code" patch. And that
code doesn't even run on my machine, so it's pure timing changes
causing the regression.
Furthermore resume has been constantly switching between working and
broken on this machine ever since kms support has been merged,
seemingly with no related change as a root cause. And always with the
same symptoms of the backlight lighting up, but the lvds panel only
displaying black.
Also, of both i855gm variants only one is in the table. And in the
past we've only ever removed entries from this quirk table because it
breaks things.
So let's just remove it - in case there's indeed a bios out there
relying on a running pipe A, we can add back in a more precise quirk
entry, like all the others (save for i830/i845).

Note that just because we have n == MAX elements left, does not imply
that there are only MAX elements left in the scatterlist and so we may
not be on the last chain, and the nth element may in fact be a chain ptr.
This is exercised by the improved hangman tests and the gem_exec_big

The intention was to allow the caller to avoid a failure to queue a
request having already written commands to the ring. However, this is a
moot point as the i915_add_request() can fail for other reasons than a
mere allocation failure and those failure cases are more likely than
ENOMEM. So the overlay code already had to handle i915_add_request()
failures, and due to

Rather than further complicate i915_add_request() and callers, realise

The game "Dante" demonstrates random clipping issues when guardband

- Some V4L2 compliance fixes applied on a few drivers;
- Several random trivial patches, including several fixes and a few

Notes:
1) Some Exynos media patches were dependent on some -arm fixes that
got merged on changeset 782cd9e. That's why this pull request is
based that changeset.
2) As promised, I reviewed the pending VB2 DMABUF series.
While setting a test environment, it was noticed that the upstream
support for Samsung Exynos 4 boards (smdk310 and Origen) are
broken upstream, likely due to regressions: both defconfigs are
wrong and regulator settings for both boards are broken. That,
allied with some bug at the dummy regulator driver, causes OOPSes
during boot time.
Long story short: even fixing the above, the proposed patches
OOPSed when running the DMABUF test. Not sure yet if the OOPSes
are due to some other undetected regressions, or due to some bug
on the patches.
Due to the above, DMABUF patches for vb2 got NACKed for 3.7."

Pull second set of pinctrl patches from Linus Walleij:
"Here is a late pinctrl pull request with stuff that wasn't quite
tested at the first pull request.
The main reason to not hold off is that the modifications to
irq_domain_add_simple() as reviewed by Rob Herring introduce new
infrastructure for irqdomains that will be useful for the next cycle:
instead of sprinkling irq descriptor allocation all over the kernel
wherever a "legacy" domain is registered, which is necessary for any
platform using sparse IRQs, and many irq chips are say GPIO
controllers which may be used with several systems, some with sparse
IRQs some not, we push this into the irq_domain_add_simple() so we can
atleast do mistakes in one place.
The irq_domain_add_simple() is currently unused in the kernel, so I
need to provide a user. The Nomadik stuff that goes with are changes
to the driver I use day-to-day to make use of this facility (and a

If 'resync_max' is set to 0 (as is often done when starting a
reshape, so the mdadm can remain in control during a sensitive
period), and if the reshape request is initially delayed because
another array using the same array is resyncing or reshaping etc,
when user-space cannot easily tell when the delay changes from being
due to a conflicting reshape, to being due to resync_max = 0.
So introduce a new state: (curr_resync == 3) to reflect this, make
sure it is visible both via /proc/mdstat and via the "sync_completed"
sysfs attribute, and ensure that the event transition from one delay
state to the other is properly notified.

When a RAID5 is reshaping, conf->raid_disks is increased
before mddev->delta_disks becomes zero.
This can result in check_reshape calling resize_stripes with a
number that is too large. This particularly happens
when md_check_recovery calls ->check_reshape().
If we use ->previous_raid_disks, we don't risk this.

If you make an array bigger but suppress resync of the new region with

then stop the array before anything is written to it, the effect of

when restarted.

In some cases array are started in 'read-auto' state where in
nothing gets written to any device until the array is written
to. The purpose of this is to make accidental auto-assembly
of the wrong arrays less of a risk, and to allow arrays to be
started to read suspend-to-disk images without actually changing
anything (as might happen if the array were dirty and a
resync seemed necessary).
Explicitly writing the 'sync_action' for a read-auto array currently
doesn't clear the read-auto state, so the sync action doesn't
happen, which can be confusing.
So allow any successful write to sync_action to clear any read-auto
state.

This patch originated from Hiroaki SHIMODA but has been modified
by Intel with some minor cleanups and additional commit log text.
Denys Fedoryshchenko and others reported Tx stalls on e1000e with
BQL enabled. Issue was root caused to hardware delays. They were
introduced because some of the e1000e hardware with transmit
writeback bursting enabled, waits until the driver does an
explict flush OR there are WTHRESH descriptors to write back.
Sometimes the delays in question were on the order of seconds,
causing visible lag for ssh sessions and unacceptable tx
completion latency, especially for BQL enabled kernels.
To avoid possible Tx stalls, change WTHRESH back to 1.
The current plan is to investigate a method for re-enabling
WTHRESH while not harming BQL, but those patches will be later
for net-next if they work.

to_read and to_write are part of the result of analysing
a stripe before handling it.
Their use is to avoid some loops and tests if the values are
known to be zero. Thus it is not a problem if they are a
little bit larger than they should be.
So decrementing them in handle_failed_stripe serves little value, and
due to races it could cause some loops to be skipped incorrectly.
So remove those decrements.

We want to avoid zero discarded dev page, because it's useless for discard.
But if we don't zero it, another read/write hit such page in the cache and will
get inconsistent data.
To avoid zero the page, we don't set R5_UPTODATE flag after construction is
done. In this way, discard write request is still issued and finished, but read
will not hit the page. If the stripe gets accessed soon, we need reread the
stripe, but since the chance is low, the reread isn't a big deal.

Discard for raid4/5/6 has limitation. If discard request size is
small, we do discard for one disk, but we need calculate parity and
write parity disk. To correctly calculate parity, zero_after_discard
must be guaranteed. Even it's true, we need do discard for one disk
but write another disks, which makes the parity disks wear out
fast. This doesn't make sense. So an efficient discard for raid4/5/6
should discard all data disks and parity disks, which requires the
write pattern to be (A, A+chunk_size, A+chunk_size*2...). If A's size
is smaller than chunk_size, such pattern is almost impossible in
practice. So in this patch, I only handle the case that A's size
equals to chunk_size. That is discard request should be aligned to
stripe size and its size is multiple of stripe size.
Since we can only handle request with specific alignment and size (or
part of the request fitting stripes), we can't guarantee
zero_after_discard even zero_after_discard is true in low level
drives.
The block layer doesn't send down correctly aligned requests even
correct discard alignment is set, so I must filter out.
For raid4/5/6 parity calculation, if data is 0, parity is 0. So if
zero_after_discard is true for all disks, data is consistent after
discard. Otherwise, data might be lost. Let's consider a scenario:
discard a stripe, write data to one disk and write parity disk. The
stripe could be still inconsistent till then depending on using data
from other data disks or parity disks to calculate new parity. If the
disk is broken, we can't restore it. So in this patch, we only enable
discard support if all disks have zero_after_discard.
If discard fails in one disk, we face the similar inconsistent issue
above. The patch will make discard follow the same path as normal
write request. If discard fails, a resync will be scheduled to make
the data consistent. This isn't good to have extra writes, but data
consistency is important.
If a subsequent read/write request hits raid5 cache of a discarded
stripe, the discarded dev page should have zero filled, so the data is
consistent. This patch will always zero dev page for discarded request
stripe. This isn't optimal because discard request doesn't need such
payload. Next patch will avoid it.

There are two table arguments that can be given to a DM RAID target
that control whether the array is forced to (re)synchronize or skip
initialization: "sync" and "nosync". When "sync" is given, we set
mddev->recovery_cp to 0 in order to cause the device to resynchronize.
This is insufficient if there is a bitmap in use, because the array
will simply look at the bitmap and see that there is no recovery
necessary.
The fix is to skip over the loading of the superblocks when "sync" is
given, causing new superblocks to be written that will force the array
to go through initialization (i.e. synchronization).

queuing writes to the md thread means that all requests go through the
one processor which may not be able to keep up with very high request
rates.
So use the plugging infrastructure to submit all requests on unplug.
If a 'schedule' is needed, we fall back on the old approach of handing
the requests to the thread for it to handle.

"The changes for i2c-embedded include:
- massive rework of the omap driver
- massive rework of the at91 driver. In fact, the old driver gets
removed; I am okay with this approach since the old driver was
depending on BROKEN and its limitations made it practically
unusable, so people used bitbanging instead. But even if there are
users, there is no platform_data or module parameter which would
need to be converted. It is just another driver doing I2C
transfers, just way better. Modifications of arch/arm/at91 related
files have proper acks from the maintainer.
- new driver for R-Car I2C
- devicetree and generic_clock conversions and fixes
- usual driver fixes and changes.
The rework patches have come a long way and lots of people have been
involved in creating/testing them. Most patches have been in
linux-next at least since 3.6-rc5. A few have been added in the last
week, I have to admit.
An unexpected (but welcome :)) peak in private life is the cause for
that. The "late" patches shouldn't cause any merge conflicts and I
will have a special eye on them during the stabilization phase. This
is an exception and I want to have the patches in place properly in

Commit 6b8029fab6 ("rtc: kconfig: remove unnecessary dependencies")
removed various 'depends on RTC_CLASS' dependencies but also removed a
few 'default RTC_CLASS' statements, which actually changed default
behavior.
This resulted in the various RTC interfaces (sysfs, proc, dev) all being
disabled by default, even when RTC_CLASS is enabled:
# CONFIG_RTC_INTF_SYSFS is not set
# CONFIG_RTC_INTF_PROC is not set
# CONFIG_RTC_INTF_DEV is not set
which is different from previous behavior (all of these where enabled.)
To fix, add back the 'default RTC_CLASS' statments to each of the
RTC_INTF_* options.
I noticed this because some RTC tests started failing on my TI OMAP
platforms because /dev/rtc0 was not present anymore, even though the
driver was present and RTC_CLASS was enabled.

tpm_write calls tpm_transmit without checking the return value and
assigns the return value unconditionally to chip->pending_data, even if
it's an error value.
This causes three bugs.
So if we write to /dev/tpm0 with a tpm_param_size bigger than
TPM_BUFSIZE=0x1000 (e.g. 0x100a)
and a bufsize also bigger than TPM_BUFSIZE (e.g. 0x100a)
tpm_transmit returns -E2BIG which is assigned to chip->pending_data as
-7, but tpm_write returns that TPM_BUFSIZE bytes have been successfully
been written to the TPM, altough this is not true (bug #1).
As we did write more than than TPM_BUFSIZE bytes but tpm_write reports
that only TPM_BUFSIZE bytes have been written the vfs tries to write
the remaining bytes (in this case 10 bytes) to the tpm device driver via
tpm_write which then blocks at
/* cannot perform a write until the read has cleared
either via tpm_read or a user_read_timer timeout */
while (atomic_read(&chip->data_pending) != 0)
msleep(TPM_TIMEOUT);
for 60 seconds, since data_pending is -7 and nobody is able to
read it (since tpm_read luckily checks if data_pending is greater than
0) (#bug 2).
After that the remaining bytes are written to the TPM which are
interpreted by the tpm as a normal command. (bug #3)
So if the last bytes of the command stream happen to be a e.g.
tpm_force_clear this gets accidentally sent to the TPM.
This patch fixes all three bugs, by propagating the error code of
tpm_write and returning -E2BIG if the input buffer is too big,
since the response from the tpm for a truncated value is bogus anyway.
Moreover it returns -EBUSY to userspace if there is a response ready to be
read.

Amitkumar Karwar provides a couple of mwifiex fixes to correctly
report some reason codes for certain connection failures. He also
provides a fix to cleanup after a scanning failure. Bing Zhao rounds
that out with another mwifiex scanning fix.
Daniel Golle gives us a fix for a copy/paste error in rt2x00.
Felix Fietkau brings a couple of ath9k fixes related to suspend/resume,
and a couple of fixes to prevent memory leaks in ath9k and mac80211.
Ronald Wahl sends a carl9170 fix for a sleep in softirq context.
Thomas Pedersen reorders some code to prevent drv_get_tsf from being

The virq_disabled flag tracks the userspace view of INTx masking
across interrupt mode changes, but we're not consistently applying
this to the interrupt and masking handler notion of the device.
Currently if the user sets DisINTx while in MSI or MSIX mode, then
returns to INTx mode (ex. rebooting a qemu guest), the hardware has
DisINTx+, but the management of INTx thinks it's enabled, making it
impossible to actually clear DisINTx. Fix this by updating the
handler state when INTx is re-enabled.

We need to be ready to recieve an interrupt as soon as we call
request_irq, so our eventfd context setting needs to be moved
earlier. Without this, an interrupt from our device or one

Problems with the previous code:
- HDMI just uses WRPLL1 for everything, so dual head cases might not
work sometimes.
- At encoder->mode_set we just write the PLL register without doing
any kind of check (e.g., check if the PLL is already being used).
- There is no way to fail and return error codes at
encoder->mode_set.
- We write to PORT_CLK_SEL at mode_set and we never disable it.
- Machines hang due to wrong clock enable/disable sequence.
So here we rewrite the code, making it a little more like the
pre-Haswell PLL mode set code:
- Check PLL availability at ironlake_crtc_mode_set.
- Try to use both WRPLLs.
- Check if PLLs are used before actually trying to use them, and
properly fail with error messages.
- Enable/disable PORT_CLK_SEL at the right place.
- Add some WARNs to check for bugs.
The next improvement will be to try to reuse PLLs if the timings
match, but this is content for another patch and it's already
documented with a TODO comment.

This patch try to fix the S3 regression https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/10/5/433,
which includes below line:
[ 1554.684638] sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/devices/pnp0/00:0c/ppi'
The root cause is that ppi sysfs teardown code is MIA, so while S3 resume,
the ppi kobject will be created again upon existing one.
To make the tear down code simple, change the ppi subfolder creation from
using kobject_create_and_add to just using a named ppi attribute_group. Then
ppi sysfs teardown could be done with a simple sysfs_remove_group call.
Adjusted the name & return type for ppi sysfs init function.

All legacy PWM providers have now been moved to the PWM subsystem. The
plan for 3.8 is to adapt all board files to provide a lookup table for
PWM devices in order to get rid of the global namespace. Subsequently,
users of the legacy pwm_request() and pwm_free() functions can be
migrated to the new pwm_get() and pwm_put() functions. Once this has
been completed, the legacy API and the compatibility code in the core
can be removed.
In addition to the above, these changes also add support for configuring
the polarity of a PWM signal (currently only supported on ECAP and
EHRPWM) and include a much needed rework of the i.MX driver. Managed
functions to obtain and release a PWM device (devm_pwm_get() and
devm_pwm_put()) have been added and the pwm-backlight driver has been
updated to use them. If the PWM subsystem hasn't been enabled, dummy
functions are provided that allow the subsystem to safely compile out.
Some common checks on input parameters have been moved to the core and
removed from the drivers. Finally, a small fix corrects the description
of the PWM specifier's second cell in the device tree representation.

Upgrade nomadik pinctrl driver to enable selection of other
alternate-C[1-4] functions on some specific ux500 SoC pins.
Handling of those functions is done thanks to PRCM GPIOCR
registers. This was previously managed in PRCMU driver and
it was not really convenient. Idea is to provide a common
way to control all alternate functions.
Note that this improvement does not support the old-fashioned way
used to control nomadik pins, namely the "nmk_config_pin()" function
and its derivatives.

"This time we have Andy updates on dw_dmac which is attempting to make
this IP block available as PCI and platform device though not fully
complete this time.
We also have TI EDMA moving the dma driver to use dmaengine APIs, also
have a new driver for mmp-tdma, along with bunch of small updates.
Now for your excitement the merge is little unusual here, while
merging the auto merge on linux-next picks wrong choice for pl330
(drivers/dma/pl330.c) and this causes build failure. The correct
resolution is in linux-next. (DMA: PL330: Fix build error) I didn't
back merge your tree this time as you are better than me so no point
in doing that for me :)"
Fixed the pl330 conflict as in linux-next, along with trivial header
file conflicts due to changed includes.

This series a couple bug fixes and a couple fixes that make this
driver support recently added OMAP-based SoCs.
The 'get_cpu_device' patch is needed due to a change in the OMAP
OMAP PM core code which enforces use of get_cpu_device() instead of
a deprecated OMAP-specific API.
The usage of plat/*.h headers breaks single zImage, so platforms are
cleaning up and/or removing plat/*.h so the driver needs to be fixed
accordingly.

Fix two bugs of the /dev/fw* character device concerning the
FW_CDEV_IOC_GET_INFO ioctl with nonzero fw_cdev_get_info.bus_reset.
(Practically all /dev/fw* clients issue this ioctl right after opening
the device.)
Both bugs are caused by sizeof(struct fw_cdev_event_bus_reset) being 36
without natural alignment and 40 with natural alignment.
1) Memory corruption, affecting i386 userland on amd64 kernel:
Userland reserves a 36 bytes large buffer, kernel writes 40 bytes.
This has been first found and reported against libraw1394 if
compiled with gcc 4.7 which happens to order libraw1394's stack such
that the bug became visible as data corruption.
2) Information leak, affecting all kernel architectures except i386:
4 bytes of random kernel stack data were leaked to userspace.
Hence limit the respective copy_to_user() to the 32-bit aligned size of
struct fw_cdev_event_bus_reset.

Currently it is possible to unmap one more block than user requested to
due to the off-by-one error in unmap_region(). This is probably due to
the fact that the end variable despite its name actually points to the
last block to unmap + 1. However in the condition it is handled as the
last block of the region to unmap.
The bug was not previously spotted probably due to the fact that the
region was not zeroed, which has changed with commit
be1dd78de5. With that commit we were able
to corrupt the ext4 file system on 256M scsi_debug device with LBPRZ
enabled using fstrim.
Since the 'end' semantic is the same in several functions there this
commit just fixes the condition to use the 'end' variable correctly in
that context.
