And while it is not a problem for example for 32k connections, bind() completion time grows exponentially (since after each successful binding we have to traverse one bucket more to find empty one) even if we start each time from random offset inside the hash table. And that will have exponential growth, but because of above random selection, not every next port selection will necessary take longer time than previous. As INET_MATCH first comparison uses inet_sk(__sk)->daddr, wich is far away from the begining of "struct sock", it has to bring into CPU cache cold cache line. Each iteration has to use at least 2 cache lines.
