[ Upstream commit c48a7c44a1d02516309015b6134c9bb982e17008 ] The kernel-feat directive passes its argument straight to the shell. This is unfortunate and unnecessary. Let's always use paths relative to $srctree/Documentation/ and use subprocess.check_call() instead of subprocess.Popen(shell=True). This also makes the code shorter. This is analogous to commit 3231dd586277 ("docs: kernel_abi.py: fix command injection") where we did exactly the same thing for kernel_abi.py, somehow I completely missed this one. README
Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
