This goes inhand with changes to the driver, that you will find in the soc pull request. Mediatek PCI device tree binding described the root port in a wrong. The IP actaully implements several root complex with everyone having a single root port. We need to fix the DT in an incompatible way to describe the HW as it is. This also fixes a problem that no IRQ bigger then 32 could be handled. The only public available HW that is affected by this is the BananaPi R64. I'm not aware that there is a big user base using the upstream kernel. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
