platform_get_resource(pdev, IORESOURCE_IRQ, ..) relies on static allocation of IRQ resources in DT core code, this causes an issue when using hierarchical interrupt domains using "interrupts" property in the node as this bypasses the hierarchical setup and messes up the irq chaining. In preparation for removal of static setup of IRQ resource from DT core code use platform_get_irq_optional(). There are no non-DT users for this driver so interrupt range (irq_res->start-irq_res->end) is no longer required and with DT we will be sure it will be a single IRQ resource for each index. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
