Greg Kroah-Hartman 16b0314aa7 dma-buf: move dma-buf symbols into the DMA_BUF module namespace
In order to better track where in the kernel the dma-buf code is used,
put the symbols in the namespace DMA_BUF and modify all users of the
symbols to properly import the namespace to not break the build at the
same time.

Now the output of modinfo shows the use of these symbols, making it
easier to watch for users over time:

$ modinfo drivers/misc/fastrpc.ko | grep import
import_ns:      DMA_BUF

Alexander A. Klimov 1b409fda60 drm: omapdrm: Replace HTTP links with HTTPS ones
Rationale:
Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM
as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate.

Deterministic algorithm:
For each file:
  If not .svg:
    For each line:
      If doesn't contain `\bxmlns\b`:
        For each link, `\bhttp://[^# \t\r\n]*(?:\w|/)`:
	  If neither `\bgnu\.org/license`, nor `\bmozilla\.org/MPL\b`:
            If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions
            return 200 OK and serve the same content:

Daniel Vetter 0d1da1fe30 drm/omapdrm: Drop dma_buf->k(un)map
No in-tree users left.

Note that this is one of the few (if only) implementations of dma-buf
that provided a kmap, but not a vmap implemenation. Given that the
only real user (in-tree at least) of kmap was tegra, and it's
impossible to buy a chip with tegra host1x and ompadrm on the same
SoC, there's no problem here.

Laurent Pinchart c488dd2048 drm: omapdrm: Take GEM object reference when exporting dmabuf
To ensure that neither the GEM object nor the DRM device goes away while
a GEM object exported through dma-buf is still accessible, references
must be taken to both the GEM object and the DRM device at export time.
The dma-buf release handler already releases the GEM object, but the
export handler doesn't take a corresponding reference, which results in
a refcount underflow.

Fix this by replacing the custom implementation by
drm_gem_dmabuf_export() and drm_gem_dmabuf_release() that handle
reference counting for us.

Seeing the kunmap_atomic dma_buf_ops share the same name with a macro

I'm personally trying to include highmem.h inside scatterlist.h and this
breaks the dma-buf code proper.

Christoph Hellwig suggested [1] renaming it and pushing this patch ASAP.

To maintain consistency I've renamed all four of kmap* and kunmap* to be
map* and unmap*. (Even though only kmap_atomic presently conflicts.)

omap_gem_dmabuf_mmap() returns an error (with a WARN) when called for a

Chris Wilson 18b862dcd5 dma-buf, drm, ion: Propagate error code from dma_buf_start_cpu_access()
Drivers, especially i915.ko, can fail during the initial migration of a
dma-buf for CPU access. However, the error code from the driver was not
being propagated back to ioctl and so userspace was blissfully ignorant
of the failure. Rendering corruption ensues.

Whilst fixing the ioctl to return the error code from
dma_buf_start_cpu_access(), also do the same for
dma_buf_end_cpu_access().  For most drivers, dma_buf_end_cpu_access()
cannot fail. i915.ko however, as most drivers would, wants to avoid being
uninterruptible (as would be required to guarrantee no failure when
flushing the buffer to the device). As userspace already has to handle
errors from the SYNC_IOCTL, take advantage of this to be able to restart
the syscall across signals.

This fixes a coherency issue for i915.ko as well as reducing the
uninterruptible hold upon its BKL, the struct_mutex.

Laurent Pinchart b22e6690a3 drm/omap: gem: Implement dma_buf import
OMAP GEM objects backed by dma_buf reuse the current OMAP GEM object
support as much as possible. If the imported buffer is physically
contiguous its physical address will be used directly, reusing the
OMAP_BO_MEM_DMA_API code paths. Otherwise it will be mapped through the
TILER using a pages list created from the scatterlist instead of the
shmem backing storage.

Tiago Vignatti 831e9da7dc dma-buf: Remove range-based flush
This patch removes range-based information used for optimizations in
begin_cpu_access and end_cpu_access.

We don't have any user nor implementation using range-based flush. It seems a
consensus that if we ever want something like that again (or even more robust
using 2D, 3D sub-range regions) we can use the upcoming dma-buf sync ioctl for
such.

Sumit Semwal d8fbe341be dma-buf: cleanup dma_buf_export() to make it easily extensible
At present, dma_buf_export() takes a series of parameters, which
makes it difficult to add any new parameters for exporters, if required.

Make it simpler by moving all these parameters into a struct, and pass
the struct * as parameter to dma_buf_export().

While at it, unite dma_buf_export_named() with dma_buf_export(), and
change all callers accordingly.

YoungJun Cho 4368dd846d drm/gem: add mutex lock when using drm_gem_mmap_obj
The drm_gem_mmap_obj() has to be protected with dev->struct_mutex,

callers and adds assertion to check whether drm_gem_mmap_obj() is
called with mutex lock or not.

Imre Deak 011c2282c7 drm: prime: fix refcounting on the dmabuf import error path
In commit be8a42ae60 we inroduced a refcount problem, where on the
drm_gem_prime_fd_to_handle() error path we'll call dma_buf_put() for
self imported dma buffers.

Fix this by taking a reference on the dma buffer in the .gem_import
hook instead of assuming the caller had taken one. Besides fixing the
bug this is also more logical.
