The TI AM64x SoCs Gigabit Ethernet Switch subsystem (CPSW3g NUSS) has three
ports (2 ext. ports) and provides Ethernet packet communication for the
device and can be configured in multi port mode or as an Ethernet switch.
This patch adds support for the corresponding CPSW3g version.

Use the glue layer's functions to convert the dma_addr_t to and from CPPI5
address (with the ASEL bits), which should be used within the descriptors
and data buffers.
- Per channel coherency support
The DMAs use the 'ASEL' bits to select data and configuration fetch path.
The ASEL bits are placed at the unused parts of any address field used by
the DMAs (pointers to descriptors, addresses in descriptors, ring base
addresses). The ASEL is not part of the address (the DMAs can address
48bits). Individual channels can be configured to be coherent (via ACP
port) or non coherent individually by configuring the ASEL to appropriate
value.

For DMA API the DMA device should be used as cpsw does not accesses to
descriptors or data buffers in any ways. The DMA does.
Also, drop dma_coerce_mask_and_coherent() setting on CPSW device, as it
should be done by DMA driver which does data movement.
This is required for adding AM64x CPSW3g support where DMA coherency
supported per DMA channel.

Since the introduction of the switchdev API, port attributes were
transmitted to drivers for offloading using a two-step transactional
model, with a prepare phase that was supposed to catch all errors, and a
commit phase that was supposed to never fail.
Some classes of failures can never be avoided, like hardware access, or
memory allocation. In the latter case, merely attempting to move the
memory allocation to the preparation phase makes it impossible to avoid
memory leaks, since commit 91cf8eceff ("switchdev: Remove unused
transaction item queue") which has removed the unused mechanism of
passing on the allocated memory between one phase and another.
It is time we admit that separating the preparation from the commit
phase is something that is best left for the driver to decide, and not
something that should be baked into the API, especially since there are
no switchdev callers that depend on this.
This patch removes the struct switchdev_trans member from switchdev port
attribute notifier structures, and converts drivers to not look at this
member.
In part, this patch contains a revert of my previous commit 2e554a7a5d
("net: dsa: propagate switchdev vlan_filtering prepare phase to
drivers").
For the most part, the conversion was trivial except for:
- Rocker's world implementation based on Broadcom OF-DPA had an odd
implementation of ofdpa_port_attr_bridge_flags_set. The conversion was
done mechanically, by pasting the implementation twice, then only
keeping the code that would get executed during prepare phase on top,
then only keeping the code that gets executed during the commit phase
on bottom, then simplifying the resulting code until this was obtained.
- DSA's offloading of STP state, bridge flags, VLAN filtering and
multicast router could be converted right away. But the ageing time
could not, so a shim was introduced and this was left for a further
commit.

Where driver conversion is trivial (like in the case of the Marvell
Prestera driver, NXP DPAA2 switch, TI CPSW, and Rocker drivers), it is
done in this patch.
Where driver conversion needs more attention (DSA, Mellanox Spectrum),
the conversion is left for subsequent patches and here we only fake the
prepare/commit phases at a lower level, just not in the switchdev
notifier itself.
Where the code has a natural structure that is best left alone as a
preparation and a commit phase (as in the case of the Ocelot switch),
that structure is left in place, just made to not depend upon the
switchdev transactional model.

br_switchdev_port_vlan_add
The ranges UAPI was introduced to the bridge in commit bdced7ef78
("bridge: support for multiple vlans and vlan ranges in setlink and
dellink requests") (Jan 10 2015). But the VLAN ranges (parsed in br_afspec)
have always been passed one by one, through struct bridge_vlan_info
tmp_vinfo, to br_vlan_info. So the range never went too far in depth.
Then Scott Feldman introduced the switchdev_port_bridge_setlink function
in commit 47f8328bb1 ("switchdev: add new switchdev bridge setlink").
That marked the introduction of the SWITCHDEV_OBJ_PORT_VLAN, which made
full use of the range. But switchdev_port_bridge_setlink was called like
this:
br_setlink
-> br_afspec
-> switchdev_port_bridge_setlink
Basically, the switchdev and the bridge code were not tightly integrated.
Then commit 41c498b935 ("bridge: restore br_setlink back to original")
came, and switchdev drivers were required to implement
.ndo_bridge_setlink = switchdev_port_bridge_setlink for a while.
In the meantime, commits such as 0944d6b5a2 ("bridge: try switchdev op
first in __vlan_vid_add/del") finally made switchdev penetrate the
br_vlan_info() barrier and start to develop the call path we have today.
But remember, br_vlan_info() still receives VLANs one by one.
Then Arkadi Sharshevsky refactored the switchdev API in 2017 in commit
29ab586c3d ("net: switchdev: Remove bridge bypass support from
switchdev") so that drivers would not implement .ndo_bridge_setlink any
longer. The switchdev_port_bridge_setlink also got deleted.
This refactoring removed the parallel bridge_setlink implementation from
switchdev, and left the only switchdev VLAN objects to be the ones
offloaded from __vlan_vid_add (basically RX filtering) and __vlan_add
(the latter coming from commit 9c86ce2c1a ("net: bridge: Notify about
bridge VLANs")).
That is to say, today the switchdev VLAN object ranges are not used in
the kernel. Refactoring the above call path is a bit complicated, when
the bridge VLAN call path is already a bit complicated.
Let's go off and finish the job of commit 29ab586c3d by deleting the
bogus iteration through the VLAN ranges from the drivers. Some aspects
of this feature never made too much sense in the first place. For
example, what is a range of VLANs all having the BRIDGE_VLAN_INFO_PVID
flag supposed to mean, when a port can obviously have a single pvid?
This particular configuration _is_ denied as of commit 6623c60dc2
("bridge: vlan: enforce no pvid flag in vlan ranges"), but from an API
perspective, the driver still has to play pretend, and only offload the
vlan->vid_end as pvid. And the addition of a switchdev VLAN object can
modify the flags of another, completely unrelated, switchdev VLAN
object! (a VLAN that is PVID will invalidate the PVID flag from whatever
other VLAN had previously been offloaded with switchdev and had that
flag. Yet switchdev never notifies about that change, drivers are
supposed to guess).
Nonetheless, having a VLAN range in the API makes error handling look
scarier than it really is - unwinding on errors and all of that.
When in reality, no one really calls this API with more than one VLAN.
It is all unnecessary complexity.
And despite appearing pretentious (two-phase transactional model and
all), the switchdev API is really sloppy because the VLAN addition and
removal operations are not paired with one another (you can add a VLAN
100 times and delete it just once). The bridge notifies through
switchdev of a VLAN addition not only when the flags of an existing VLAN
change, but also when nothing changes. There are switchdev drivers out
there who don't like adding a VLAN that has already been added, and
those checks don't really belong at driver level. But the fact that the
API contains ranges is yet another factor that prevents this from being
addressed in the future.
Of the existing switchdev pieces of hardware, it appears that only
Mellanox Spectrum supports offloading more than one VLAN at a time,
through mlxsw_sp_port_vlan_set. I have kept that code internal to the
driver, because there is some more bookkeeping that makes use of it, but
I deleted it from the switchdev API. But since the switchdev support for
ranges has already been de facto deleted by a Mellanox employee and
nobody noticed for 4 years, I'm going to assume it's not a biggie.

Since commit 7f0a838254 ("bpf, xdp: Maintain info on attached XDP BPF
programs in net_device"), the XDP program attachment info is now maintained
in the core code. This interacts badly with the xdp_attachment_flags_ok()
check that prevents unloading an XDP program with different load flags than
it was loaded with. In practice, two kinds of failures are seen:
- An XDP program loaded without specifying a mode (and which then ends up
in driver mode) cannot be unloaded if the program mode is specified on
unload.
- The dev_xdp_uninstall() hook always calls the driver callback with the
mode set to the type of the program but an empty flags argument, which
means the flags_ok() check prevents the program from being removed,
leading to bpf prog reference leaks.
The original reason this check was added was to avoid ambiguity when
multiple programs were loaded. With the way the checks are done in the core
now, this is quite simple to enforce in the core code, so let's add a check
there and get rid of the xdp_attachment_flags_ok() callback entirely.

The current implementation uses .ndo_set_features() callback to track
NETIF_F_HW_CSUM feature changes and update generic
CPSW_P0_CONTROL_REG.RX_CHECKSUM_EN option accordingly. It's not going to
work in case of multi-port devices as TX csum offload can be changed per
netdev.
On K3 CPSWxG devices TX csum offload enabled in the following way:
- the CPSW_P0_CONTROL_REG.RX_CHECKSUM_EN option enables TX csum offload in
generic and affects all TX DMA channels and packets;
- corresponding fields in TX DMA descriptor have to be filed properly when
upper layer wants to offload TX csum (skb->ip_summed == CHECKSUM_PARTIAL)
and it's per-packet option.
The Linux Network core is expected to never request TX csum offload if
netdev NETIF_F_HW_CSUM feature is disabled, and, as result, TX DMA
descriptors should not be modified, and per-packet TX csum offload will be
disabled (or enabled) on per-netdev basis. Which, in turn, makes it safe to
enable the CPSW_P0_CONTROL_REG.RX_CHECKSUM_EN option unconditionally.
Hence, fix TX csum offload for multi-port devices by:
- enabling the CPSW_P0_CONTROL_REG.RX_CHECKSUM_EN option in
am65_cpsw_nuss_common_open() unconditionally
- and removing .ndo_set_features() callback implementation, which was used

is added by 8021Q core (.ndo_vlan_rx_add_vid) and forcibly removes VLAN
from ALE table in .ndo_vlan_rx_kill_vid(). This works as for AM65x CPSW2G
(which has only one Ext. Port) as for legacy CPSW devices (which can't
support same VLAN on more then one Port in multi mac (dual-mac) mode). But
it doesn't work for the new J721E and AM64x multi port CPSWxG versions
doesn't have such restrictions and allow to offload the same VLAN on any
number of ports.
Now the attempt to add same VLAN on two (or more) K3 CPSWxG Ports will
cause:
- VLAN members mask overwrite when VLAN is added
- VLAN removal from ALE table when any Port removes VLAN
This patch fixes an issue by:
- switching to use cpsw_ale_vlan_add_modify() instead of
cpsw_ale_add_vlan() when VLAN is added to ALE table, so VLAN members
mask will not be overwritten;
- Updates cpsw_ale_del_vlan() as:
if more than one ext. Port is in VLAN member mask
then remove only current port from VLAN member mask
else remove VLAN ALE entry
Example:
add: P1 | P0 (Host) -> members mask: P1 | P0
add: P2 | P0 -> members mask: P2 | P1 | P0
rem: P1 | P0 -> members mask: P2 | P0
rem: P2 | P0 -> members mask: -
The VLAN is forcibly removed if port_mask=0 passed to cpsw_ale_del_vlan()
to preserve existing legacy CPSW drivers functionality.

The TI CPTS does not natively support PTPv1, only PTPv2. But, as it
happens, the CPTS can provide HW timestamp for PTPv1 Sync messages, because
CPTS HW parser looks for PTP messageType id in PTP message octet 0 which
value is 0 for PTPv1. As result, CPTS HW can detect Sync messages for PTPv1
and PTPv2 (Sync messageType = 0 for both), but it fails for any other PTPv1
messages (Delay_req/resp) and will return PTP messageType id 0 for them.
The commit e9523a5a32 ("net: ethernet: ti: cpsw: enable
HWTSTAMP_FILTER_PTP_V1_L4_EVENT filter") added PTPv1 hw timestamping
advertisement by mistake, only to make Linux Kernel "timestamping" utility
work, and this causes issues with only PTPv1 compatible HW/SW - Sync HW
timestamped, but Delay_req/resp are not.
Hence, fix it disabling PTPv1 hw timestamping advertisement, so only PTPv1
compatible HW/SW can properly roll back to SW timestamping.

The driver uses in_irq() to determine if the tlan_priv::lock has to be
acquired in tlan_mii_read_reg() and tlan_mii_write_reg().
The interrupt handler acquires the lock outside of these functions so the
in_irq() check is meant to prevent a lock recursion deadlock. But this
check is incorrect when interrupt force threading is enabled because then
the handler runs in thread context and in_irq() correctly returns false.
The usage of in_*() in drivers is phased out and Linus clearly requested
that code which changes behaviour depending on context should either be
seperated or the context be conveyed in an argument passed by the caller,
which usually knows the context.
tlan_set_timer() has this conditional as well, but this function is only
invoked from task context or the timer callback itself. So it always has to
lock and the check can be removed.
tlan_mii_read_reg(), tlan_mii_write_reg() and tlan_phy_print() are invoked
from interrupt and other contexts.
Split out the actual function body into helper variants which are called
from interrupt context and make the original functions wrappers which
acquire tlan_priv::lock unconditionally.

When it makes sense, just remove the lvalue assignment and the

As existing, as newly introduced CPSW ALE versions have differences in
supported features and ALE table formats. Especially it's actual for the
recent AM65x/J721E/J7200 SoC and feature AM64x, which supports features
like: auto-aging, classifiers, Link aggregation, additional hw filtering,
etc.
Existing ALE configuration interface is not practical in terms of adding
new features and requires consumers to program a lot static parameters. Any
attempt to add new options will case endless adding and maintaining
different combination of flags and options.
Hence CPSW ALE configuration is static and fixed for SoC (or set of SoC) It
is reasonable to add support for static ALE configurations inside ALE
module. This patch adds static ALE configuration table for different ALE
versions and provides option for consumers to select required ALE
configuration by providing ALE const char *dev_id identifier.
This feature is not enabled by default until existing CPSW drivers will be
modified by follow up patches.

This patch fixes a bunch of issues in cpsw_ndo_vlan_rx_kill_vid()
- pm_runtime_get_sync() returns non zero value. This results in
non zero value return to caller which will be interpreted as error.
So overwrite ret with zero.
- If VID matches with port VLAN VID, then set error code.
- Currently when VLAN interface is deleted, all of the VLAN mc addresses
are removed from ALE table, however the return values from ale function
calls are not checked. These functions can return error code -ENOENT.
But that shouldn't happen in a normal case. So add error print to
catch the situations so that these can be investigated and addressed.
return zero in these cases as these are not real error case, but only
serve to catch ALE table update related issues and help address the
same in the driver.

Drivers using legacy power management .suspen()/.resume() callbacks
have to manage PCI states and device's PM states themselves. They also
need to take care of standard configuration registers.
Switch to generic power management framework using a single
"struct dev_pm_ops" variable to take the unnecessary load from the driver.
This also avoids the need for the driver to directly call most of the PCI
helper functions and device power state control functions, as through
the generic framework PCI Core takes care of the necessary operations,
and drivers are required to do only device-specific jobs.

The UDP reuseport conflict was a little bit tricky.
The net-next code, via bpf-next, extracted the reuseport handling
into a helper so that the BPF sk lookup code could invoke it.
At the same time, the logic for reuseport handling of unconnected
sockets changed via commit efc6b6f6c3
which changed the logic to carry on the reuseport result into the
rest of the lookup loop if we do not return immediately.
This requires moving the reuseport_has_conns() logic into the callers.
While we are here, get rid of inline directives as they do not belong
in foo.c files.
The other changes were cases of more straightforward overlapping
modifications.

On AM65xx MCU CPSW2G NUSS and 66AK2E/L NUSS allmulti setting does not allow
unregistered mcast packets to pass.
This happens, because ALE VLAN entries on these SoCs do not contain port
masks for reg/unreg mcast packets, but instead store indexes of
ALE_VLAN_MASK_MUXx_REG registers which intended for store port masks for
reg/unreg mcast packets.
This path was missed by commit 9d1f644727 ("net: ethernet: ti: ale: fix

Hence, fix it by taking into account ALE type in cpsw_ale_set_allmulti().

AM65 CPSW h/w supports Enhanced Scheduled Traffic (EST – defined
in P802.1Qbv/D2.2 that later got included in IEEE 802.1Q-2018)
configuration. EST allows express queue traffic to be scheduled
(placed) on the wire at specific repeatable time intervals. In
Linux kernel, EST configuration is done through tc command and
the taprio scheduler in the net core implements a software only
scheduler (SCH_TAPRIO). If the NIC is capable of EST configuration,
user indicate "flag 2" in the command which is then parsed by
taprio scheduler in net core and indicate that the command is to
be offloaded to h/w. taprio then offloads the command to the
driver by calling ndo_setup_tc() ndo ops. This patch implements
ndo_setup_tc() to offload EST configuration to CPSW h/w.
Currently driver supports only SetGateStates operation. EST
operates on a repeating time interval generated by the CPTS EST
function generator. Each Ethernet port has a global EST fetch
RAM that can be configured as 2 buffers, each of 64 locations
or one large buffer of 128 locations. In 2 buffer configuration,
a ping pong mechanism is used to hold the active schedule (oper)
in one buffer and new (admin) command in the other. Each 22-bit
fetch command consists of a 14-bit fetch count (14 MSB’s) and an
8-bit priority fetch allow (8 LSB’s) that will be applied for the
fetch count time in wireside clocks. Driver process each of the
sched-entry in the offload command and update the fetch RAM.
Driver configures duration in sched-entry into the fetch count
and Gate mask into the priority fetch bits of the RAM. Then
configures the CPTS EST function generator to activate the
schedule. Currently driver supports only 2 buffer configuration
which means driver supports a max cycle time of ~8 msec.
CPSW supports a configurable number of priority queues (up to 8)
and needs to be switched to this mode from the default round
robin mode before EST can be offloaded. User configures
these through ethtool commands (-L for changing number of
queues and --set-priv-flags to disable round robin mode).
Driver doesn't enable EST if pf_p0_rx_ptype_rrobin privat flag
is set. The flag is common for all ports, and so can't be just
overridden by taprio configuration w/o user involvement.
Command fails if pf_p0_rx_ptype_rrobin is already set in the
driver.
Scheds (commands) configuration depends on interface speed so
driver translates the duration to the fetch count based on
link speed. Each schedule can be constructed with several
command entries in fetch RAM depending on interval. For example
if each sched has timer interval < ~130us on 1000 Mb link then
each sched consumes one command and have 1:1 mapping. When
Ethernet link goes down, driver purge the configuration if link
is down for more than 1 second.
The patch allows to update the timer and scheds memory only if it's
really needed, and skip cases required the user to stop timer by
configuring only shceds memory.

TAPRIO/EST offload support in CPSW2G requires EST scheduler
function enabled in CPTS. So this patch add a function to

Mostly to verify if timer update is needed or to get actual
state of oper/admin schedule.

My recent commit b6d49cab44 ("net: Make PTP-specific drivers depend on
PTP_1588_CLOCK") exposes a missing dependency in defconfigs that select
TI_CPTS without selecting PTP_1588_CLOCK, leading to linker errors of the
form:
drivers/net/ethernet/ti/cpsw.o: in function `cpsw_ndo_stop':
cpsw.c:(.text+0x680): undefined reference to `cpts_unregister'
...
That's because TI_CPTS_MOD (which is the symbol gating the _compilation_ of
cpts.c) now depends on PTP_1588_CLOCK, and so is not enabled in these
configurations, but TI_CPTS (which is the symbol gating _calls_ to the cpts
functions) _is_ enabled. So we end up compiling calls to functions that
don't exist, resulting in the linker errors.
This patch fixes build errors and restores previous behavior by:
- ensure PTP_1588_CLOCK=y in TI specific configs and CPTS will be built
- remove TI_CPTS_MOD and, instead, add dependencies from CPTS in
TI_CPSW/TI_KEYSTONE_NETCP/TI_CPSW_SWITCHDEV as below:
config TI_CPSW_SWITCHDEV
...
depends on TI_CPTS || !TI_CPTS
which will ensure proper dependencies PTP_1588_CLOCK -> TI_CPTS ->
TI_CPSW/TI_KEYSTONE_NETCP/TI_CPSW_SWITCHDEV and build type selection.
Note. For NFS boot + CPTS all of above configs have to be built-in.

Main features of CPTS module are:
- selection of multiple external clock sources
- control of time sync events via interrupt or polling
- 64-bit timestamp mode in ns with HW PPM and nudge adjustment.
- hardware timestamp ext. inputs (HWx_TS_PUSH)
- timestamp Generator function outputs (TS_GENFx)
Depending on integration it enables compliance with the IEEE 1588-2008

PTP_1588_CLOCK`, "in order to break the hard dependency between the PTP
clock subsystem and ethernet drivers capable of being clock providers."
As a result it is possible to build PTP-capable Ethernet drivers without
the PTP subsystem by deselecting PTP_1588_CLOCK. Drivers are required to
handle the missing dependency gracefully.
Some PTP-capable Ethernet drivers (e.g., TI_CPSW) factor their PTP code
out into separate drivers (e.g., TI_CPTS_MOD). The above commit also
changed these PTP-specific drivers to `imply PTP_1588_CLOCK`, making it
possible to build them without the PTP subsystem. But as Grygorii
Strashko noted in [1]:

In my view, enabling a PTP-specific driver without the PTP subsystem is
a configuration error made possible by the above commit. Kconfig should
not allow users to create a configuration with missing dependencies that
results in "completely nonfunctional" drivers.
I audited all network drivers that call ptp_clock_register() but merely
`imply PTP_1588_CLOCK` and found five PTP-specific drivers that are
likely nonfunctional without PTP_1588_CLOCK:
NET_DSA_MV88E6XXX_PTP
NET_DSA_SJA1105_PTP
MACB_USE_HWSTAMP
CAVIUM_PTP
TI_CPTS_MOD
Note how these symbols all reference PTP or timestamping in their name;
this is a clue that they depend on PTP_1588_CLOCK.
Change them from `imply PTP_1588_CLOCK` [2] to `depends on PTP_1588_CLOCK`.
I'm not using `select PTP_1588_CLOCK` here because PTP_1588_CLOCK has
its own dependencies, which `select` would not transitively apply.
Additionally, remove the `select NET_PTP_CLASSIFY` from CPTS_TI_MOD;
PTP_1588_CLOCK already selects that.

[2]: NET_DSA_SJA1105_PTP had never declared any type of dependency on
PTP_1588_CLOCK (`imply` or otherwise); adding a `depends on PTP_1588_CLOCK`
here seems appropriate.
