George Kennedy c28d9a2856 ax88172a: fix ax88172a_unbind() failures
If ax88172a_unbind() fails, make sure that the return code is
less than zero so that cleanup is done properly and avoid UAF.

If a malicious device gives a short MAC it can elicit up to

Greg Ungerer c8b5d129ee net: usbnet: support 64bit stats
Add support for the net stats64 counters to the usbnet core. With that
in place put the hooks into every usbnet driver to use it.

This is a strait forward addition of 64bit counters for RX and TX packet
and byte counts. It is done in the same style as for the other net drivers
that support stats64. Note that the other stats fields remain as 32bit
sized values (error counts, etc).

The motivation to add this is that it is not particularly difficult to
get the RX and TX byte counts to wrap on 32bit platforms.

In order to R/W registers in suspend/resume functions, in_pm flags are

Save BMCR and ANAR PHY registers in suspend function and restore them

Florian Fainelli f9a8f83b04 net: phy: remove flags argument from phy_{attach, connect, connect_direct}
The flags argument of the phy_{attach,connect,connect_direct} functions
is then used to assign a struct phy_device dev_flags with its value.
All callers but the tg3 driver pass the flag 0, which results in the
underlying PHY drivers in drivers/net/phy/ not being able to actually
use any of the flags they would set in dev_flags. This patch gets rid of
the flags argument, and passes phydev->dev_flags to the internal PHY
library call phy_attach_direct() such that drivers which actually modify
a phy device dev_flags get the value preserved for use by the underlying
phy driver.

Christian Riesch ceb02c91dd asix: Rework reading from EEPROM
The current code for reading the EEPROM via ethtool in the asix
driver has a few issues. It cannot handle odd length values
(accesses must be aligned at 16 bit boundaries) and interprets the
offset provided by ethtool as 16 bit word offset instead as byte offset.

The new code for asix_get_eeprom() introduced by this patch is
modeled after the code in
drivers/net/ethernet/atheros/atl1e/atl1e_ethtool.c
and provides read access to the entire EEPROM with arbitrary
offsets and lengths.
