Linus Torvalds 44598f98b9 ARM: SoC board updates for 3.12
Board updates for 3.12. Again, a bit of domain overlap with SoC and DT branches,
but most of this is around legacy code and board support. We've found that
platform maintainers have a hard time separating all of these out and might
move towards fewer branches for next release.

 - Removal of a number of Marvell Kirkwood board files, since contents
is now common and mostly configured via DT.
 - Device-tree updates for Marvell Dove, including irqchip and clocksource
   setup.
 - Defconfig updates. Gotta go somewhere. One new one for Renesas Lager.
 - New backlight drivers for backlights used on Renesas shmobile platforms.
 - Removal of Renesas leds driver.
 - Shuffling of some of the new Broadcom platforms to give room for others in
the same mach directory. More in 2.13.

Linus Torvalds b4b50fd78b ARM: SoC platform changes for 3.12
This branch contains mostly additions and changes to platform enablement
and SoC-level drivers. Since there's sometimes a dependency on device-tree
changes, there's also a fair amount of those in this branch.

 Pieces worth mentioning are:

 - Mbus driver for Marvell platforms, allowing kernel configuration
and resource allocation of on-chip peripherals.
 - Enablement of the mbus infrastructure from Marvell PCI-e drivers.
 - Preparation of MSI support for Marvell platforms.
 - Addition of new PCI-e host controller driver for Tegra platforms
 - Some churn caused by sharing of macro names between i.MX 6Q and 6DL
platforms in the device tree sources and header files.
 - Various suspend/PM updates for Tegra, including LP1 support.
 - Versatile Express support for MCPM, part of big little support.
 - Allwinner platform support for A20 and A31 SoCs (dual and quad Cortex-A7)
 - OMAP2+ support for DRA7, a new Cortex-A15-based SoC.

The code that touches other architectures are patches moving
MSI arch-specific functions over to weak symbols and removal of
 ARCH_SUPPORTS_MSI, acked by PCI maintainers.

Russell King 2facbc8873 ARM: debug: move 8250 debug include into arch/arm/include/debug/
Now that the 8250 debug include can stand alone without requiring
platforms to provide any macros, move it into the debug directory
so it can be directly included. This allows us to get rid of a lot
of debug-macros include files.

Jason Cooper d04d97c264 ARM: kirkwood: fix DT building and update defconfig
commit

844703c ARM: kirkwood: Remove all remaining trace of DNS-320/325 platform code

removed the last kirkwood DT/platform board in kirkwood_defconfig, this
triggered a rescan of the config symbols, the result of which breaks the
build because KIRKWOOD_DT does not select OF_IRQ.

This commit fixes the regression and updates the defconfig to
explicitly enable SERIAL_OF_PLATFORM and KIRWOOD_DT.

Thomas Petazzoni 37ae08c939 ARM: kirkwood: convert the mv88f6281gtw_ge board to DT
This commit converts the mv88f6281gtw_ge Kirkwood board to use a
Device Tree representation, except for the Ethernet devices and the

converting this board to use it is for now left on the side because it

Linus Torvalds 40e71e7015 ARM SoC board specific changes
These are 18 branches on 9 platforms with board specific changes, mostly
for defconfig files, but nothing really exciting in here.

Since the shmobile platform still uses board files for some of the newer
machines, we get a few changes there as the result of drivers getting
enabled for those boards. This causes some conflicts with contents getting
added from multiple branches in sh-mobile specific files. Renesas is
putting a lot of work into migrating to device-tree based setup, which
will make all those files obsolete in the future and avoid both the
conflicts and the need to have these files in the first place.

Andrew Lunn e89b405809 ARM: Kirkwood: TS219: Fix crash by double PCIe instantiation
When creating the DT based boards-ts219.c the none DT ts219-setup.c
was used as a template. This includes a lateinit() call to initialize
the PCIe bus. The code makes use of machine_is_ts219() which is never
true on DT, so a FIXME was added and the code left as is. This was
unproblematic until b73690c8f8b5d: "ARM: Kirkwood: Support basic
hotplug for PCI-E" which changes the way the PCIe bus is
initialized. The non-DT ts219-setup.c now crashes during boot. The
lateinit() call in the DT boards-ts219.c is being called,
machine_is_ts219() is true and so the PCIe is initialized a second
time.

This patch removes the useless, and now clearly dangerous, code from
boards-ts219.c, making ts219-setup.c work again.

Thomas Petazzoni 0d0632f523 arm: kirkwood: convert db-88f6281/db-88f6282 to the Device Tree
This commit converts the Marvell DB-88F6281/DB-88F6282 board to the
Device Tree. In fact, the code was supporting two different boards:
one with the 6281 SoC variant, and one with the 6282 SoC variant. The
difference between the two being that the 6281 has one PCIe interface,
and the 6282 has two PCIe interfaces.

In order to handle that with the Device Tree, we create a
'kirkwood-db.dtsi' file that contains the definitions common to both
boards, and 'kirkwood-db-88f6281.dts' and 'kirkwood-db-88f6282.dts'
for the definitions specific to each board. This is similar to what is
done for the QNAP TS219 Kirkwood platform.

We have kept one single Kconfig option, just like it was before.

Thomas Petazzoni 5afb9fe367 arm: kirkwood: move PCIe window init to legacy driver
Since we are going to enable the usage of the mvebu PCIe driver on
Kirkwood, we don't want the PCIe windows to be unconditionally created
by kirkwood_setup_wins(). Therefore, we move the PCIe window
initialization into the legacy PCIe driver
(arch/arm/mach-kirkwood/pcie.c).

The platforms using the legacy driver will see their windows
statically allocated by
arch/arm/mach-kirkwood/pcie.c:kirkwood_pcie_init(). The platforms
using the new driver in drivers/pci/ will see their windows
dynamically allocated directly by the driver.

Thomas Petazzoni 3207792e62 arm: kirkwood: use the default of match table
mach-kirkwood/board-dt.c defines its own OF matching table, but in
fact, it is the same to the default of_default_bus_match_table[] which
is already used by mach-mvebu, mach-dove and mach-orion5x.

This patch therefore makes mach-kirkwood use the same default OF
matching table.

Andrew Lunn 6d31727a0b ARM: Orion: Remove redundant init_dma_coherent_pool_size()
The patch:

387870f mm: dmapool: use provided gfp flags for all dma_alloc_coherent() calls

makes these calls on Kirkwood and Orion5x redundant. The drivers are
not making atomic requests for coherent memory and hence the default
pool size is now sufficient.

Jason Cooper added mach-mvebu/ hunk, and corrected minor typos in commit
message.

Linus Torvalds fcba914542 ARM: arm-soc platform updates for 3.10, part 3
This is the third and smallest of the SoC specific updates.
 Changes include:

 * SMP support for the Xilinx zynq platform
 * Smaller imx changes
 * LPAE support for mvebu
 * Moving the orion5x, kirkwood, dove and mvebu platforms
to a common "mbus" driver for their internal devices.

It would be good to get feedback on the location of the "mbus"
driver. Since this is used on multiple platforms may potentially
get shared with other architectures (powerpc and arm64), it
was moved to drivers/bus/. We expect other similar drivers to
get moved to the same place in order to avoid creating more
top-level directories under drivers/ or cluttering up the
 messy drivers/misc/ even more.

Linus Torvalds 150a8dcf10 ARM: arm-soc board specific changes for 3.10, part 1
These changes are all for board specific files. These used to make up a
large portion of the ARM changes in the past, but as we are generalizing
the support and moving to device tree probing, this has gotten
significantly smaller. The only platform actually adding new code here
at the moment is Renesas shmobile, as they are still busy converting
their code to device tree and have not come far enough to not need it.
