Following the introduction of the generic ECC engine infrastructure, it
was necessary to reorganize the code and move the ECC configuration in
the ->attach_chip() hook. Failing to do that properly lead to a first
series of fixes supposed to stabilize the situation. Unfortunately, this
only fixed the use of software ECC engines, preventing any other kind of
engine to be used, including on-die ones.
It is now time to (finally) fix the situation by ensuring that we still
provide a default (eg. software ECC) but will still support different
ECC engines such as on-die ECC engines if properly described in the
device tree.
There are no changes needed on the core side in order to do this, but we
just need to leverage the logic there which allows:
1- a subsystem default (set to Host engines in the raw NAND world)
2- a driver specific default (here set to software ECC engines)
3- any type of engine requested by the user (ie. described in the DT)
As the raw NAND subsystem has not yet been fully converted to the ECC
engine infrastructure, in order to provide a default ECC engine for this
driver we need to set chip->ecc.engine_type *before* calling
nand_scan(). During the initialization step, the core will consider this
entry as the default engine for this driver. This value may of course
be overloaded by the user if the usual DT properties are provided.

Originally, commit d7157ff49a ("mtd: rawnand: Use the ECC framework
user input parsing bits") kind of broke the logic around the
initialization of several ECC engines.
Unfortunately, the fix (which indeed moved the ECC initialization to
the right place) did not take into account the fact that a different
ECC algorithm could have been used thanks to a DT property,
considering the "Hamming" algorithm entry a configuration while it was
only a default.
Add the necessary logic to be sure Hamming keeps being only a default.

The probe function is only supposed to initialize the controller
hardware but not the ECC engine. Indeed, we don't know anything about
the NAND chip(s) at this stage. Let's move the logic initializing the
ECC engine, even pretty simple, to the ->attach_chip() hook which gets
called during nand_scan() routine, after the NAND chip discovery. As
the previously mentioned logic is supposed to parse the DT for us, it
is likely that the chip->ecc.* entries be overwritten. So let's avoid
this by moving these lines to ->attach_chip().

Commit 7c2f66a960 ("mtd: rawnand: ams-delta: Add module device
tables") introduced an OF module device table but wrapped a reference
to it with of_match_ptr() which resolves to NULL in non-OF configs.
That resulted in a clang compiler warning on unused variable in non-OF
builds. Fix it.

In order to be merged with "gpio-nand", the driver must support custom
(non-GPIO) I/O accessors.
Allow platforms to omit data GPIO port as well as NWE pin info from
device setup. For the driver to still work on such platform, custom
I/O accessors as well as a custom probe function which initialises the
driver private structure with those accessors must be added to the
driver.

Allow platforms to omit NRE pin from device configuration by requesting
that pin as optional. In that case, also don't apply read pulse width
from chip SDR timings. There should be no need for further code
adjustments as gpiolib can handle NULL GPIO descriptor pointers.

Let platforms take care of declaring correct GPIO pin polarity so we
can just ask a GPIO line to be asserted or deasserted and gpiolib deals
with the rest depending on how the platform is configured.

Don't readw()/writew() data directly from/to GPIO port which is under
control of gpio-omap driver, use GPIO consumer API instead.
The driver should now work with any 8-bit bidirectional GPIO port, not
only OMAP.

Data port used by the driver is actually an OMAP MPUIO device, already
under control of gpio-omap driver. For that reason we used to not
request the memory region of the port as that would fail because the
region is already busy. Despite that, we are still accessing the port
by just ioremapping it and performing read/write operations. Moreover,
we are doing that without any proteciton from other users legally
manipulating the port pins over GPIO API.
The plan is to convert the driver to access the port over GPIO consumer
API. Before that happens, already prevent from other users accessing
the port pins by requesting an array of its GPIO descriptors.

In its current shape, the driver sets data port direction before each
byte read/write operation, even during multi-byte transfers. Improve
performance of the driver by setting the port direction only when
needed.
This optimisation will become particularly important as soon as
planned conversion of the driver to GPIO API for data I/O will be
implemented.

Introduce a driver private structure and allocate it on device probe.
Use it for storing nand_chip structure, GPIO descriptors prevoiusly
stored in static variables as well as io_base pointer previously passed
as nand controller data or platform driver data. Subsequent patches
may populate the structure with more members as needed.

Now as Amstrad Delta board - the only user of this driver - provides
GPIO lookup tables, switch from GPIO numbers to GPIO descriptors and
use the table to locate required GPIO pins.
Declare static variables for storing GPIO descriptors and replace
gpio_ function calls with their gpiod_ equivalents.
Pin naming used by the driver should be followed while respective GPIO
lookup table is initialized by a board init code.

We regularly have new NAND controller drivers that are making use of
fields/hooks that we want to get rid of but can't because of all the
legacy drivers that we might break if we do.
So, instead of removing those fields/hooks, let's move them to a
sub-struct which is clearly documented as deprecated.
We start with the ->IO_ADDR_{R,W] fields.
