Tim Schmielau cd354f1ae7 [PATCH] remove many unneeded #includes of sched.h
After Al Viro (finally) succeeded in removing the sched.h #include in module.h
recently, it makes sense again to remove other superfluous sched.h includes.
There are quite a lot of files which include it but don't actually need
anything defined in there. Presumably these includes were once needed for
macros that used to live in sched.h, but moved to other header files in the
course of cleaning it up.

To ease the pain, this time I did not fiddle with any header files and only
removed #includes from .c-files, which tend to cause less trouble.

Compile tested against 2.6.20-rc2 and 2.6.20-rc2-mm2 (with offsets) on alpha,
arm, i386, ia64, mips, powerpc, and x86_64 with allnoconfig, defconfig,
allmodconfig, and allyesconfig as well as a few randconfigs on x86_64 and all
configs in arch/arm/configs on arm. I also checked that no new warnings were
introduced by the patch (actually, some warnings are removed that were emitted
by unnecessarily included header files).

Masahide NAKAMURA 793832361f [IPV6] MIP6: Revert address to send ICMPv6 error.
IPv6 source address is replaced in receiving packet
with home address option carried by destination options header.
To send ICMPv6 error back, original address which is received one on wire
should be used. This function checks such header is included
and reverts them.
Based on MIPL2 kernel patch.

KAMEZAWA Hiroyuki 6f91204225 [PATCH] for_each_possible_cpu: network codes
for_each_cpu() actually iterates across all possible CPUs. We've had mistakes
in the past where people were using for_each_cpu() where they should have been
iterating across only online or present CPUs. This is inefficient and
possibly buggy.

We're renaming for_each_cpu() to for_each_possible_cpu() to avoid this in the
future.

This patch replaces for_each_cpu with for_each_possible_cpu under /net

Herbert Xu fb286bb299 [NET]: Detect hardware rx checksum faults correctly
Here is the patch that introduces the generic skb_checksum_complete
which also checks for hardware RX checksum faults. If that happens,
it'll call netdev_rx_csum_fault which currently prints out a stack
trace with the device name. In future it can turn off RX checksum.

I've converted every spot under net/ that does RX checksum checks to
use skb_checksum_complete or __skb_checksum_complete with the
exceptions of:

* Those places where checksums are done bit by bit. These will call
netdev_rx_csum_fault directly.

* The following have not been completely checked/converted:

ipmr
ip_vs
netfilter
dccp

John Hawkes 670c02c2bf [NET]: Wider use of for_each_*cpu()
In 'net' change the explicit use of for-loops and NR_CPUS into the
general for_each_cpu() or for_each_online_cpu() constructs, as
appropriate. This widens the scope of potential future optimizations
of the general constructs, as well as takes advantage of the existing
optimizations of first_cpu() and next_cpu(), which is advantageous
when the true CPU count is much smaller than NR_CPUS.

YOSHIFUJI Hideaki 2dac4b96b9 [IPV6]: Repair Incoming Interface Handling for Raw Socket.

YOSHIFUJI Hideaki 84427d5330 [IPV6]: Ensure to use icmpv6_socket in non-preemptive context.
We saw following trace several times:

|BUG: using smp_processor_id() in preemptible [00000001] code: httpd/30137
|caller is icmpv6_send+0x23/0x540
| [<c01ad63b>] smp_processor_id+0x9b/0xb8
| [<c02993e7>] icmpv6_send+0x23/0x540

This is because of icmpv6_socket, which is the only one user of
smp_processor_id() in icmpv6_send(), AFAIK.

Since it should be used in non-preemptive context,
let's defer the dereference after disabling preemption
(by icmpv6_xmit_lock()).

Herbert Xu 0d3d077cd4 [SELINUX]: Fix ipv6_skip_exthdr() invocation causing OOPS.
The SELinux hooks invoke ipv6_skip_exthdr() with an incorrect
length final argument. However, the length argument turns out
to be superfluous.

I was just reading ipv6_skip_exthdr and it occured to me that we can
get rid of len altogether. The only place where len is used is to
check whether the skb has two bytes for ipv6_opt_hdr. This check
is done by skb_header_pointer/skb_copy_bits anyway.

Now it might appear that we've made the code slower by deferring
the check to skb_copy_bits. However, this check should not trigger
in the common case so this is OK.

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.

Let it rip!
