Eric W. Biederman cead185526 exit: Rename complete_and_exit to kthread_complete_and_exit
Update complete_and_exit to call kthread_exit instead of do_exit.

Change the name to reflect this change in functionality. All of the
users of complete_and_exit are causing the current kthread to exit so
this change makes it clear what is happening.

Move the implementation of kthread_complete_and_exit from
kernel/exit.c to to kernel/kthread.c. As this function is kthread
specific it makes most sense to live with the kthread functions.

There are no functional change.

Linus Torvalds fe91c4725a SCSI misc on 20211105
This series consists of the usual driver updates (ufs, smartpqi, lpfc,
 target, megaraid_sas, hisi_sas, qla2xxx) and minor updates and bug
 fixes. Notable core changes are the removal of scsi->tag which caused
 some churn in obsolete drivers and a sweep through all drivers to call
 scsi_done() directly instead of scsi->done() which removes a pointer
 indirection from the hot path and a move to register core sysfs files
 earlier, which means they're available to KOBJ_ADD processing, which
 necessitates switching all drivers to using attribute groups.

Bart Van Assche af049dfd0b scsi: core: Remove the 'done' argument from SCSI queuecommand_lck functions
The DEF_SCSI_QCMD() macro passes the addresses of the SCSI host lock and
also that of the scsi_done function to the queuecommand_lck() function
implementations. Remove the 'scsi_done' argument since its address is
now a constant and instead call 'scsi_done' directly from inside the
queuecommand_lck() functions.

Vaibhav Gupta b21204b60d staging: rts5208/rtsx.c: use generic power management
Drivers should not use legacy power management as they have to manage power
states and related operations, for the device, themselves. This driver was
handling them with the help of PCI helper functions like
pci_save/restore_state(), pci_enable/disable_device(), etc.

With generic PM, all essentials will be handled by the PCI core. Driver
needs to do only device-specific operations.

The driver was also using pci_enable_wake(...,..., 0) to disable wake. Use
device_wakeup_disable() instead.

Compile-tested only.

Cleans up checks of "Avoid CamelCase" in file sd.h
Even though the constant "DCM_LOW_FREQUENCY_MODE_SET" is defined and never used,
it's useful to keep it because it documents the device.

Colin Ian King 2e63a4a4b7 staging: rts5208: remove redundant sd30_mode checks
There are two hunks of code that check if sd30_mode is true however
an earlier check in an outer code block on sd30_mode being false means
that sd30_mode can never be true at these points so these checks are
redundant.  Remove the dead code.

Tobias Nießen 321cab4b5e staging: rts5208: Simplify boolean expression to improve code style
This bitwisen / boolean expression can be made more readable while
reducing the line lengths at the same time. This commit uses the
fact that

    a & (b | c) == (b | c)

evaluates to true if and only if

    (a & b) && (a & c)

is true. Since b and c are constants with relatively long names,
using the second form makes the code much more readable and shorter.

Tobias Nießen 34a49d9edf staging: rts5208: Rewrite redundant if statement to improve code style
This commit uses the fact that

    if (a) {
            if (b) {
                    ...
            }
    }

can instead be written as

    if (a && b) {
            ...
    }

without any change in behavior, allowing to decrease the indentation
of the contained code block and thus reducing the average line length.

Nishka Dasgupta eb2b3edfd4 staging: rts5208: Remove negations
Previously return variable fake_para was being negated before return.
For simplification, fake_para can be changed to valid_para, which is
returned without negation (corresponding values swapped accordingly).
Further, the function names check_sd_current_prior and check_sd_speed_prior
can be changed to valid_sd_current_prior and valid_sd_speed_prior
respectively for greater clarity on the purpose of the functions.

Linus Torvalds 02061181d3 Staging/IIO driver patches for 4.21-rc1
Here is the big staging and iio driver pull request for 4.21-rc1.

 Lots and lots of tiny patches here, nothing major at all. Which is
 good, tiny cleanups is nice to see. No new huge driver removal or
 addition, this release cycle, although there are lots of good IIO driver
 changes, addtions, and movement from staging into the "real" part of the
 kernel, which is always great.

 Full details are in the shortlog, and all of these have been in
 linux-next for a while with no reported issues.
