Add support for Cypress GX3 SuperSpeed to Gigabit Ethernet
Bridge Controller (Vendor=04b4 ProdID=3610).
Patch verified on x64 linux kernel 4.7.4, 4.8.6, 4.9-rc4 systems
with the Kensington SD4600P USB-C Universal Dock with Power,
which uses the Cypress GX3 SuperSpeed to Gigabit Ethernet Bridge
Controller.
A similar patch was signed-off and tested-by Allan Chou
<allan@asix.com.tw> on 2015-12-01.
Allan verified his similar patch on x86 Linux kernel 4.1.6 system
with Cypress GX3 SuperSpeed to Gigabit Ethernet Bridge Controller.

The r8152 driver has been broken since (approx) 3.16.xx
when support was added for hardware RX checksums
on newer chip versions. Symptoms include random
segfaults and silent data corruption over NFS.
The hardware checksum logig does not work on the VER_02
dongles I have here when used with a slow embedded system CPU.
Google reveals others reporting similar issues on Raspberry Pi.
So, disable hardware RX checksum support for VER_02, and fix
an obvious coding error for IPV6 checksums in the same function.
Because this bug results in silent data corruption,
it is a good candidate for back-porting to -stable >= 3.16.xx.

The kalmia_send_init_packet() returns zero or a negative return
code, but gcc has no way of knowing that there cannot be a
positive return code, so it determines that copying the ethernet
address at the end of kalmia_bind() will access uninitialized
data:
drivers/net/usb/kalmia.c: In function ‘kalmia_bind’:
arch/x86/include/asm/string_32.h:78:22: error: ‘*((void *)ðernet_addr+4)’ may be used uninitialized in this function [-Werror=maybe-uninitialized]
*((short *)to + 2) = *((short *)from + 2);
^
drivers/net/usb/kalmia.c:138:5: note: ‘*((void *)ðernet_addr+4)’ was declared here
This warning is harmless, but for consistency, we should make
the check for the return code match what the driver does everywhere
else and just progate it, which then gets rid of the warning.

The Quectel EC21 and EC25 need the same "set DTR" request as devices
based on the MDM9230 chipset, but has no USB3 support. Our best guess
is that the "set DTR" functionality depends on chipset and/or
baseband firmware generation. But USB3 is still an optional feature.
Since we cannot enable this unconditionally for all older devices, and
there doesn't appear to be anything we can use in the USB descriptors
to identify these chips, we are forced to use a device specific quirk
flag.

With centralized MTU checking, there's nothing productive done by
eth_change_mtu that isn't already done in dev_set_mtu, so mark it as
deprecated and remove all usage of it in the kernel. All callers have been
audited for calls to alloc_etherdev* or ether_setup directly, which means
they all have a valid dev->min_mtu and dev->max_mtu. Now eth_change_mtu
prints out a netdev_warn about being deprecated, for the benefit of
out-of-tree drivers that might be utilizing it.
Of note, dvb_net.c actually had dev->mtu = 4096, while using
eth_change_mtu, meaning that if you ever tried changing it's mtu, you
couldn't set it above 1500 anymore. It's now getting dev->max_mtu also set
to 4096 to remedy that.

The firmware in several ZTE devices (at least the MF823/831/910
modems/mifis) use OS fingerprinting to determine which type of device to
export. In addition, these devices export a REST API which can be used to
control the type of device. So far, on Linux, the devices have been seen as
RNDIS or CDC Ether.
When CDC Ether is used, devices of the same type are, as with RNDIS,
exported with the same, bogus random MAC address. In addition, the devices
(at least on all firmware revisions I have found) use the bogus MAC when
sending traffic routed from external networks. And as a final feature, the
devices sometimes export the link state incorrectly. There are also
references online to several other ZTE devices displaying this behavior,
with several different PIDs and MAC addresses.
This patch tries to improve the handling of ZTE devices by doing the
following:
* Create a new driver_info-struct that is used by ZTE devices that do not
have an explicit entry in the product table. This struct is the same as the
default cdc_ether driver info, but a new bind- and an rx_fixup-function
have been added.
* In the new bind function, we check if we have read a random MAC from the
device. If we have, then we generate a new random MAC address. This will
ensure that all devices get a unique MAC.
* The rx_fixup-function replaces the destination MAC address in the skb
with that of the device. I have not seen a revision of these devices that
behaves correctly (i.e., sets the right destination MAC), so I chose not to
do any comparison with for example the known, bogus addresses.
* The MF823/MF832/MF910 sometimes export cdc carrier on twice on connect
(the correct behavior is off then on). Work around this by manually setting
carrier to off if an on-notification is received and the NOCARRIER-bit is
not set.
This change will affect all devices, but it should take care of similar
mistakes made by other manufacturers. I tried to think of/look/test for
problems/regressions that could be introduced by this behavior, but could
not find any. However, my familiarity with this code path is not that
great, so there could be something I have overlooked.
I have tested this patch with multiple revisions of all three devices, and
they behave as expected. In other words, they all got a valid, random MAC,
the correct operational state and I can receive/sent traffic without
problems. I also tested with some other cdc_ether devices I have and did
not find any problems/regressions caused by the two general changes.
v3->v4:
* Forgot to remove unused variables, sorry about that (thanks David
Miller).
v2->v3:
* I had forgot to remove the random MAC generation from usbnet_cdc_bind()
(thanks Oliver).
* Rework logic in the ZTE bind-function a bit.
v1->v2:
* Only generate random MAC for ZTE devices (thanks Oliver Neukum).
* Set random MAC and do RX fixup for all ZTE devices that do not have a
product-entry, as the bogus MAC have been seen on devices with several
different PIDs/MAC addresses. In other words, it seems to be the default
behavior of ZTE CDC Ether devices (thanks Lars Melin).

Some devices of the same type all export the same, random MAC address. This
behavior has been seen on the ZTE MF910, MF823 and MF831, and there are
probably more devices out there. Fix this by generating a valid random MAC
address if we read a random MAC from device.
Also, changed the memcpy() to ether_addr_copy(), as pointed out by
checkpatch.

The RTL8153-AD supports a persistent system specific MAC address.
This means a device plugged into two different systems with host side
support will show different (but persistent) MAC addresses.
This information for the system's persistent MAC address is burned in when
the system HW is built and available under \_SB.AMAC in the DSDT at runtime.
This technology is currently implemented in the Dell TB15 and WD15 Type-C
docks. More information is available here:

Several Lenovo users have reported problems with their Sierra
Wireless EM7455 modem. The driver has loaded successfully and
the MBIM management channel has appeared to work, including
establishing a connection to the mobile network. But no frames
have been received over the data interface.
The problem affects all EM7455 and MC7455, and is assumed to
affect other modems based on the same Qualcomm chipset and
baseband firmware.
Testing narrowed the problem down to what seems to be a
firmware timing bug during initialization. Adding a short sleep
while probing is sufficient to make the problem disappear.
Experiments have shown that 1-2 ms is too little to have any
effect, while 10-20 ms is enough to reliably succeed.

Move the settings of PHY to a work queue and schedule it after
rtl_ops.init().
There are some reasons for this. First, the settings are only
needed for the first time initialization or after the power
down occurs.
Second, the settings are independent with the others.
Last, the settings may take more time than the others. Leave
they in probe() or open() may delay the following flows.

[ 239.536413] asix 1-1.1:1.0 eth0: asix_rx_fixup() Bad Header Length 0x5638f7e2, offset 4
And network throughput ends up being pretty bursty and slow with
a overall throughput of at best ~30kB/s (where as previously we
got 1.1MB/s with the slower USB1.1 "full speed" host).
We found the issue also was reproducible on a x86_64 system,
using a "high-speed" USB2.0 port but the throughput did not
measurably drop (possibly due to the scp transfer being cpu
bound on my slow test hardware).
After lots of debugging, I found the check added in the
problematic commit seems to be calculating the offset
incorrectly.
In the normal case, in the main loop of the function, we do:
(where offset is zero, or set to "offset += (copy_length + 1) &
0xfffe" in the previous loop)
rx->header = get_unaligned_le32(skb->data +
offset);
offset += sizeof(u32);
But the problematic patch calculates:
offset = ((rx->remaining + 1) & 0xfffe) + sizeof(u32);
rx->header = get_unaligned_le32(skb->data + offset);
Adding some debug logic to check those offset calculation used
to find rx->header, the one in problematic code is always too
large by sizeof(u32).
Thus, this patch removes the incorrect " + sizeof(u32)" addition
in the problematic calculation, and resolves the issue.

from a the device tree. This is required to get a usable persistent

reason for even addressing this is that I'm getting close to
eliminating all 'randconfig' warnings on ARM, and this came up
a couple of times.
My workaround is to not even build the module when none of the
configurations are enable.
Alternatively we could simply remove the #warning (nothing wrong
for compile-testing), turn it into a runtime warning, or
change the Kconfig options into a menu to hide CONFIG_USB_NET_CDC_SUBSET.

NCM buffer sizes are negotiated with the device independently of
the network device MTU. The RX buffers are allocated by the
usbnet framework based on the rx_urb_size value set by cdc_ncm. A
single RX buffer can hold a number of MTU sized packets.
The default usbnet change_mtu ndo only modifies rx_urb_size if it
is equal to hard_mtu. And the cdc_ncm driver will set rx_urb_size
and hard_mtu independently of each other, based on dwNtbInMaxSize
and dwNtbOutMaxSize respectively. It was therefore assumed that
usbnet_change_mtu() would never touch rx_urb_size. This failed to
consider the case where dwNtbInMaxSize and dwNtbOutMaxSize happens
to be equal.
Fix by implementing an NCM specific change_mtu ndo, modifying the
netdev MTU without touching the buffer size settings.

When an interface is brought up which was previously suspended (via
runtime PM), it would hang. This happens because napi_disable is called
before napi_enable.
Solve this by avoiding napi_enable in the resume during open function
(netif_running is true when open is called, IFF_UP is set after a
successful open; netif_running is false when close is called, but IFF_UP
is then still set).
While at it, remove WORK_ENABLE check from rtl8152_open (introduced with
the original change) because it cannot happen:
- After this patch, runtime resume will not set it during rtl8152_open.
- When link is up, rtl8152_open is not called.
- When link is down during system/auto suspend/resume, it is not set.

QMI wwan devices have traditionally emulated ethernet devices
by default. But they have always had the capability of operating
without any L2 header at all, transmitting and receiving "raw"
IP packets over the USB link. This firmware feature used to be
configurable through the QMI management protocol.
Traditionally there was no way to verify the firmware mode
without attempting to change it. And the firmware would often
disallow changes anyway, i.e. due to a session already being
established. In some cases, this could be a hidden firmware
internal session, completely outside host control. For these
reasons, sticking with the "well known" default mode was safest.
But newer generations of QMI hardware and firmware have moved
towards defaulting to "raw IP" mode instead, followed by an
increasing number of bugs in the already buggy "802.3" firmware
implementation. At the same time, the QMI management protocol
gained the ability to detect the current mode. This has enabled
the userspace QMI management application to verify the current
firmware mode without trying to modify it.
Following this development, the latest QMI hardware and firmware
(the MDM9x30 generation) has dropped support for "802.3" mode
entirely. Support for "raw IP" framing in the driver is therefore
necessary for these devices, and to a certain degree to work
around problems with the previous generation,
This patch adds support for "raw IP" framing for QMI devices,
changing the netdev from an ethernet device to an ARPHRD_NONE
p-t-p device when "raw IP" framing is enabled.
The firmware setup is fully delegated to the QMI userspace
management application, through simple tunneling of the QMI
protocol. The driver will therefore not know which mode has been
"negotiated" between firmware and userspace. Allowing userspace
to inform the driver of the result through a sysfs switch is
considered a better alternative than to change the well established
clean delegation of firmware management to userspace.

MDM9x30 based modems appear to go into a deeper sleep when
suspended without "Remote Wakeup" enabled. The QMI interface
will not respond unless a "set DTR" control request is sent
on resume. The effect is similar to a QMI_CTL SYNC request,
resetting (some of) the firmware state.
We allow userspace sessions to span multiple character device
open/close sequences. This means that userspace can depend
on firmware state while both the netdev and the character
device are closed. We have disabled "needs_remote_wakeup" at
this point to allow devices without remote wakeup support to
be auto-suspended.
To make sure the MDM9x30 keeps firmware state, we need to
keep "needs_remote_wakeup" always set. We also need to
issue a "set DTR" request to enable the QMI interface.

Commit 77b0a09967 ("cdc-ncm: use common parser") added a dangerous
new trust in the CDC functional descriptors presented by the device,
unconditionally assuming that any device handled by the driver has
a CDC Union descriptor.
This descriptor is required by the NCM and MBIM specs, but crashing
on non-compliant devices is still unacceptable. Not only will that
allow malicious devices to crash the kernel, but in this case it is
also well known that there are non-compliant real devices on the
market - as shown by the comment accompanying the IAD workaround
in the same function.
The Sierra Wireless EM7305 is an example of such device, having
a CDC header and a CDC MBIM descriptor but no CDC Union:

The conversion to a common parser also left the local cdc_union
variable untouched. This caused the IAD workaround code to be applied
to all devices with an IAD descriptor, which was never intended. Finish
the conversion by testing for hdr.usb_cdc_union_desc instead.

Avoid a loss of synchronisation of the Ethernet Data header 32-bit
word due to a failure to get a netdev socket buffer.
The ASIX RX handling algorithm returned 0 upon a failure to get
an allocation of a netdev socket buffer. This causes the URB
processing to stop which potentially causes a loss of synchronisation
with the Ethernet Data header 32-bit word. Therefore, subsequent
processing of URBs may be rejected due to a loss of synchronisation.
This may cause additional good Ethernet frames to be discarded
along with outputting of synchronisation error messages.
Implement a solution which checks whether a netdev socket buffer
has been allocated before trying to copy the Ethernet frame into
the netdev socket buffer. But continue to process the URB so that
synchronisation is maintained. Therefore, only a single Ethernet
frame is discarded when no netdev socket buffer is available.

When RX Ethernet frames span multiple URB socket buffers,
the data stream may suffer a discontinuity which will cause
the current Ethernet frame in the netdev socket buffer
to be incomplete. This frame needs to be discarded instead
of appending unrelated data from the current URB socket buffer
to the Ethernet frame in the netdev socket buffer. This avoids
creating a corrupted Ethernet frame in the netdev socket buffer.
A discontinuity can occur when the previous URB socket buffer
held an incomplete Ethernet frame due to truncation or a
URB socket buffer containing the end of the Ethernet frame
was missing.
Therefore, add a sanity test for when an Ethernet frame
spans multiple URB socket buffers to check that the remaining
bytes of the currently received Ethernet frame point to
a good Data header 32-bit word of the next Ethernet
frame. Upon error, reset the remaining bytes variable to
zero and discard the current netdev socket buffer.
Assume that the Data header is located at the start of
the current socket buffer and attempt to process the next
Ethernet frame from there. This avoids unnecessarily
discarding a good URB socket buffer that contains a new
Ethernet frame.

The code is checking that the Ethernet frame will fit into a
netdev allocated socket buffer within the constraints of MTU size,
Ethernet header length plus VLAN header length.
The original code was checking rx->remaining each loop of the while
loop that processes multiple Ethernet frames per URB and/or Ethernet
frames that span across URBs. rx->remaining decreases per while loop
so there is no point in potentially checking multiple times that the
Ethernet frame (remaining part) will fit into the netdev socket buffer.
The modification checks that the size of the Ethernet frame will fit
the netdev socket buffer before allocating the netdev socket buffer.
This avoids grabbing memory and then deciding that the Ethernet frame
is too big and then freeing the memory.

Tidy-up the Data header 32-bit word synchronisation logic in
asix_rx_fixup_internal() by removing redundant logic tests.
The code is looking at the following cases of the Data header
32-bit word that is present before each Ethernet frame:
a) all 32 bits of the Data header word are in the URB socket buffer
b) first 16 bits of the Data header word are at the end of the URB
socket buffer
c) last 16 bits of the Data header word are at the start of the URB
socket buffer eg. split_head = true
Note that the lifetime of rx->split_head exists outside of the
function call and is accessed per processing of each URB. Therefore,
split_head being true acts on the next URB to be processed.
To check for b) the offset will be 16 bits (2 bytes) from the end of
the buffer then indicate split_head is true.
To check for c) split_head must be true because the first 16 bits
have been found.
To check for a) else c)
Note that the || logic of the old code included the state
(skb->len - offset == sizeof(u16) && rx->split_head) which is not
possible because the split_head cannot be true whilst checking for b).
This is because the split_head indicates that the first 16 bits have
been found and that is not possible whilst checking for the first 16
bits. Therefore simplify the logic.

The Data header synchronisation is easier to understand
if the variables "remaining" and "size" are renamed.
Therefore, the lifetime of the "remaining" variable exists
outside of asix_rx_fixup_internal() and is used to indicate
any remaining pending bytes of the Ethernet frame that need
to be obtained from the next socket buffer. This allows an
Ethernet frame to span across multiple socket buffers.
"size" is now local to asix_rx_fixup_internal() and contains
the size read from the Data header 32-bit word.
Add "copy_length" to hold the number of the Ethernet frame
bytes (maybe a part of a full frame) that are to be copied
out of the socket buffer.

If asix_rx_fixup_internal() fails to allocate rx->ax_skb, it will return
but not clear rx->size. rx points to driver private data. A later call
assumes that nonzero size means ax_skb was allocated and passes a null
ax_skb to skb_put. Changed allocation failure return to clear size first.

There's a bunch of cheap USB 10/100 devices based on QinHeng chipsets. The
vendor driver supports the CH9100 and CH9200 devices, but the majority of
the code is of the if (ch9100) {} else {} form, with the most significant
difference being that CH9200 provides a real MII interface but CH9100 fakes
one with a bunch of global variables and magic commands. I don't have a
CH9100, so it's probably better if someone who does provides an independent
driver for it. In any case, this is a lightly cleaned up version of the
vendor driver with all the CH9100 code dropped.

The race may happen when a device (e.g. YOTA 4G LTE Modem) is
unplugged while the system is downloading a large file from the Net.
Hardware breakpoints and Kprobes with delays were used to confirm that
the race does actually happen.
The race is on skb_queue ('next' pointer) between usbnet_stop()
and rx_complete(), which, in turn, calls usbnet_bh().
Here is a part of the call stack with the code where the changes to the
queue happen. The line numbers are for the kernel 4.1.0:
*0 __skb_unlink (skbuff.h:1517)
prev->next = next;
*1 defer_bh (usbnet.c:430)
spin_lock_irqsave(&list->lock, flags);
old_state = entry->state;
entry->state = state;
__skb_unlink(skb, list);
spin_unlock(&list->lock);
spin_lock(&dev->done.lock);
__skb_queue_tail(&dev->done, skb);
if (dev->done.qlen == 1)
tasklet_schedule(&dev->bh);
spin_unlock_irqrestore(&dev->done.lock, flags);
*2 rx_complete (usbnet.c:640)
state = defer_bh(dev, skb, &dev->rxq, state);
At the same time, the following code repeatedly checks if the queue is
empty and reads these values concurrently with the above changes:
*0 usbnet_terminate_urbs (usbnet.c:765)
/* maybe wait for deletions to finish. */
while (!skb_queue_empty(&dev->rxq)
&& !skb_queue_empty(&dev->txq)
&& !skb_queue_empty(&dev->done)) {
schedule_timeout(msecs_to_jiffies(UNLINK_TIMEOUT_MS));
set_current_state(TASK_UNINTERRUPTIBLE);
netif_dbg(dev, ifdown, dev->net,
"waited for %d urb completions\n", temp);
}
*1 usbnet_stop (usbnet.c:806)
if (!(info->flags & FLAG_AVOID_UNLINK_URBS))
usbnet_terminate_urbs(dev);
As a result, it is possible, for example, that the skb is removed from
dev->rxq by __skb_unlink() before the check
"!skb_queue_empty(&dev->rxq)" in usbnet_terminate_urbs() is made. It is
also possible in this case that the skb is added to dev->done queue
after "!skb_queue_empty(&dev->done)" is checked. So
usbnet_terminate_urbs() may stop waiting and return while dev->done
queue still has an item.
Locking in defer_bh() and usbnet_terminate_urbs() was revisited to avoid
this race.

NCM specs are not actually mandating a specific position in the frame for
the NDP (Network Datagram Pointer). However, some Huawei devices will
ignore our aggregates if it is not placed after the datagrams it points
to. Add support for doing just this, in a per-device configurable way.
While at it, update NCM subdrivers, disabling this functionality in all of
them, except in huawei_cdc_ncm where it is enabled instead.
We aren't making any distinction between different Huawei NCM devices,
based on what the vendor driver does. Standard NCM devices are left
unaffected: if they are compliant, they should be always usable, still
stay on the safe side.
This change has been tested and working with a Huawei E3131 device (which
works regardless of NDP position), a Huawei E3531 (also working both
ways) and an E3372 (which mandates NDP to be after indexed datagrams).

cdc_ncm disagrees with usbnet about how much framing overhead should
be counted in the tx_bytes statistics, and tries 'fix' this by
decrementing tx_bytes on the transmit path. But statistics must never
be decremented except due to roll-over; this will thoroughly confuse
user-space. Also, tx_bytes is only incremented by usbnet in the
completion path.
Fix this by requiring drivers that set FLAG_MULTI_FRAME to set a
tx_bytes delta along with the tx_packets count.

Currently the usbnet core does not update the tx_packets statistic for
drivers with FLAG_MULTI_PACKET and there is no hook in the TX
completion path where they could do this.
cdc_ncm and dependent drivers are bumping tx_packets stat on the
transmit path while asix and sr9800 aren't updating it at all.
Add a packet count in struct skb_data so these drivers can fill it
in, initialise it to 1 for other drivers, and add the packet count
to the tx_packets statistic on completion.

There is a capability which let the hw could change the settings
automatically when the power change to ON. However, the USB reset
would reset the settings to the hw default, so the driver has to
restore the relative settings. Otherwise, it would influence the
functions of the hw, and the compatibility for the USB hub and
USB host controller.
The relative settings are as following.
- set the power down scale to 96.
- enable the power saving function of USB 2.0.
- disable the ALDPS of ECM mode.
- set burst mode depending on the burst size.
- enable the flow control of endpoint full.
- set fifo empty boundary to 32448 bytes.
- enable the function of exiting LPM when Rx OK occurs.
- set the connect timer to 1.

If skb allocation fails once the IP header has been received, the rx state is
being set to WAIT_SYNC. The logic, though, shouldn't directly return, as the
buffer may contain a full packet, and therefore the WAIT_SYNC state needs to be
processed (resetting state to WAIT_IP, clearing rx_buf_size and re-initializing
rx_buf_missing).
So, just let the while loop continue so that in the next iteration the WAIT_SYNC
state cleanly stops the loop. The WAIT_SYNC processing will be done just after
that, only if the end of packet is flagged.

Conflicts:
drivers/net/vxlan.c
drivers/vhost/net.c
include/linux/if_vlan.h
net/core/dev.c
The net/core/dev.c conflict was the overlap of one commit marking an
existing function static whilst another was adding a new function.
In the include/linux/if_vlan.h case, the type used for a local
variable was changed in 'net', whereas the function got rewritten
to fix a stacked vlan bug in 'net-next'.
In drivers/vhost/net.c, Al Viro's iov_iter conversions in 'net-next'
overlapped with an endainness fix for VHOST 1.0 in 'net'.
In drivers/net/vxlan.c, vxlan_find_vni() added a 'flags' parameter
in 'net-next' whereas in 'net' there was a bug fix to pass in the
correct network namespace pointer in calls to this function.

The serial_table is used to map the minor number of the usb serial device
to its associated context. The table is updated in the probe method and
in hso_serial_ref_free() which is called either from the tty cleanup
method or from the usb disconnect method.
This patch ensures that the serial_table is updated in the disconnect
method and no more from the cleanup method to avoid the following
potential race condition.
- hso_disconnect() is called for usb interface "x". Because the serial
port was open and because the cleanup method of the tty_port hasn't
been called yet, hso_serial_ref_free() is not run.
- hso_probe() is called and fails for a new hso serial usb interface
"y". The function hso_free_interface() is called and iterates
over the element of serial_table to find the device associated to
the usb interface context.
If the usb interface context of usb interface "y" has been created
at the same place as for usb interface "x", then the cleanup
functions are called for usb interfaces "x" and "y" and
hso_serial_ref_free() is called for both interfaces.
- release_tty() is called for serial port linked to usb interface "x"
and possibly crash because the tty_port structure contained in the
hso_device structure has been freed.

The function hso_serial_common_free() is called either by the cleanup
method of the tty or by the usb disconnect method.
In the former case, the usb_disconnect() has been already called
and the sysfs group associated to the device has been removed.
By calling tty_unregister directly from the usb_disconnect() method,
we avoid a warning due to the removal of the sysfs group of the usb
device.

When the device disappear, the function hso_disconnect() is called to
perform cleanup. In the cleanup function, hso_free_interface() calls
tty_port_tty_hangup() in view of scheduling a work to hang up the tty if
needed. If the port was not open then hso_serial_ref_free() is called
directly to cleanup everything. Otherwise, hso_serial_ref_free() is called
when the last fd associated to the port is closed.
For each open port, tty_release() will call the close method,
hso_serial_close(), which drops the last kref and call
hso_serial_ref_free() which unregisters, destroys the tty port
and finally frees the structure in which the tty_port structure
is included. Later, in tty_release(), more precisely when release_tty()
is called, the tty_port previously freed is accessed to cancel
the tty buf workqueue and it leads to a crash.
In view of avoiding this crash, we add a cleanup method that is called
at the end of the hangup process and we drop the last kref in this
function when all the ports have been closed, when tty_port is no
more needed and when it is safe to free the structure containing the
tty_port structure.
