Kelsey Skunberg 244c06c3b6 PCI/IOV: Remove group write permission from sriov_numvfs, sriov_drivers_autoprobe
Previously the sriov_numvfs and sriov_drivers_autoprobe sysfs files had
0664 permissions, which allowed group write.  libvirt runs as root when
dealing with PCI, and it chowns files needed by qemu, so group write
permission should not be needed.

Change these permissions from 0664 to 0644, which is what DEVICE_ATTR_RW()
does by default.

Oliver O'Halloran 018c49e999 pci-hotplug/pnv_php: Add attention indicator support
pnv_php is generally used with PCIe bridges which provide a native
interface for setting the attention and power indicator LEDs. Wire up
those interfaces even if firmware does not have support for them (yet...)

Oliver O'Halloran a839bd87a2 pci-hotplug/pnv_php: Add support for IODA3 Power9 PHBs
Currently we check that an IODA2 compatible PHB is upstream of this slot.
This is mainly to avoid pnv_php creating slots for the various "virtual
PHBs" that we create for NVLink. There's no real need for this restriction
so allow it on IODA3.

Oliver O'Halloran 7fd1fe4e48 pci-hotplug/pnv_php: Add a reset_slot() callback
When performing EEH recovery of devices in a hotplug slot we need to use
the slot driver's ->reset_slot() callback to prevent spurious hotplug
events due to spurious DLActive and PresDet change interrupts. Add a
reset_slot() callback to pnv_php so we can handle recovery of devices
in pnv_php managed slots.

It can for example return -ENOMEM if it runs out of memory as it tries
to allocate devres structures. Propagating only -EPROBE_DEFER is
problematic because it results in these legitimately fatal errors being
treated as "PHY not specified in DT".

What we really want is to ignore the optional PHYs only if they have not
been specified in DT. devm_phy_optional_get() is a function that exactly
does what's required here, so use that instead.

Krzysztof Wilczynski 4a2dbeddd3 PCI/ACPI: Remove unnecessary struct hotplug_program_ops
Move the ACPI-specific structs hpx_type0, hpx_type1, hpx_type2 and
hpx_type3 to drivers/pci/pci-acpi.c as they are not used anywhere else.
Then remove the struct hotplug_program_ops that has been shared between
drivers/pci/probe.c and drivers/pci/pci-acpi.c from drivers/pci/pci.h as it
is no longer needed.

The struct hotplug_program_ops was added by 87fcf12e84 ("PCI/ACPI: Remove
the need for 'struct hotplug_params'") and replaced previously used struct
hotplug_params enabling the support for the _HPX Type 3 Setting Record that
was added by f873c51a15 ("PCI/ACPI: Implement _HPX Type 3 Setting
Record").

The new struct allowed for the static functions such program_hpx_type0(),
program_hpx_type1(), etc., from the drivers/pci/probe.c to be called from
the function pci_acpi_program_hp_params() in the drivers/pci/pci-acpi.c.

Previously a programming of _HPX Type 0 was as follows:

  drivers/pci/probe.c:

of the _HPX Type 0, 1, 2 and 3 are directly accessible.

Krzysztof Wilczynski e2797ad31f PCI/ACPI: Rename _HPX structs from hpp_* to hpx_*
The names of the hpp_type0, hpp_type1 and hpp_type2 structs suggest that
they're related to _HPP, when in fact they're related to _HPX.

The struct hpp_type0 denotes an _HPX Type 0 setting record that supersedes
the _HPP setting record, and it has been used interchangeably for _HPP as
per the ACPI specification (see version 6.3, section 6.2.9.1) which states
that it should be applied to PCI, PCI-X and PCI Express devices, with
settings being ignored if they are not applicable.

Rename them to hpx_type0, hpx_type1 and hpx_type2 to reflect their relation
to _HPX rather than _HPP.

Hou Zhiqiang 66de33f09f PCI: dwc: Return directly when num-lanes is not found
The num-lanes is optional since it is not needed on some platforms
that bring up the link in firmware.

The link programming is based on the num-lanes properties (which is
optional); if it is not present code must return instead of fiddling
with the lanes value to print an error message.

Dexuan Cui e5d2f910cf PCI: hv: Add a paravirtual backchannel in software
Windows SR-IOV provides a backchannel mechanism in software for communication
between a VF driver and a PF driver.  These "configuration blocks" are
similar in concept to PCI configuration space, but instead of doing reads and
writes in 32-bit chunks through a very slow path, packets of up to 128 bytes
can be sent or received asynchronously.

Nearly every SR-IOV device contains just such a communications channel in
hardware, so using this one in software is usually optional.  Using the
software channel, however, allows driver implementers to leverage software
tools that fuzz the communications channel looking for vulnerabilities.

The usage model for these packets puts the responsibility for reading or
writing on the VF driver.  The VF driver sends a read or a write packet,
indicating which "block" is being referred to by number.

If the PF driver wishes to initiate communication, it can "invalidate" one or
more of the first 64 blocks.  This invalidation is delivered via a callback
supplied by the VF driver by this driver.

No protocol is implied, except that supplied by the PF and VF drivers.

Hou Zhiqiang df901c85cc PCI: mobiveil: Fix the CPU base address setup in inbound window
Current code erroneously sets-up the CPU base address through the
parameter 'pci_addr', which is passed to initialize the CPU (AXI) base
address of the inbound window where the controller maps the PCI address
space into CPU physical address space; furthermore, it also truncates it
by programming only the lower 32-bit value into the inbound CPU address
register.

Fix both issues by introducing a new parameter 'u64 cpu_addr' to
initialize both lower 32-bit and upper 32-bit of the CPU physical
base address mapping PCI inbound transactions into CPU (AXI) ones.

Haiyang Zhang be700103ef PCI: hv: Detect and fix Hyper-V PCI domain number collision
Currently in Azure cloud, for passthrough devices, the host sets the
device instance ID's bytes 8 - 15 to a value derived from the host HWID,
which is the same on all devices in a VM. So, the device instance ID's
bytes 8 and 9 provided by the host are no longer unique. This affects
all Azure hosts since July 2018, and can cause device passthrough to VMs
to fail because the bytes 8 and 9 are used as PCI domain number.
Collision of domain numbers will cause the second device with the same
domain number fail to load.

In the cases of collision, we will detect and find another number that is
not in use.

The sysfs SR-IOV functions are only needed when the kernel is built with
SR-IOV support.  Rather than put them in pci-sysfs.c under #ifdef
CONFIG_PCI_IOV, move them to iov.c, which is only compiled when
CONFIG_PCI_IOV=y.

Matthew Garrett eb627e1772 PCI: Lock down BAR access when the kernel is locked down
Any hardware that can potentially generate DMA has to be locked down in
order to avoid it being possible for an attacker to modify kernel code,
allowing them to circumvent disabled module loading or module signing.
Default to paranoid - in future we can potentially relax this for
sufficiently IOMMU-isolated devices.

Logan Gunthorpe 494d63b0d5 PCI/P2PDMA: Whitelist some Intel host bridges
Intel devices do not have good support for P2P requests that span different
host bridges as the transactions will cross the QPI/UPI bus and this does
not perform well.

Therefore, enable support for these devices only if the host bridges match.

Add Intel devices that have been tested and are known to work. There are
likely many others out there that will need to be tested and added.

Add constant flags to indicate how two devices will be mapped or if they
are unsupported. upstream_bridge_distance() will now return the
mapping type and the distance in a passed-by-reference argument.

This helps annotate the code better, but the main reason is so we can use
the information to store the required mapping method in an xarray.

Lyude Paul ad54567ad5 PCI: Reset both NVIDIA GPU and HDA in ThinkPad P50 workaround
quirk_reset_lenovo_thinkpad_50_nvgpu() resets NVIDIA GPUs to work around
an apparent BIOS defect.  It previously used pci_reset_function(), and
the available method was a bus reset, which was fine because there was
only one function on the bus.  After b516ea586d ("PCI: Enable NVIDIA
HDA controllers"), there are now two functions (the HDA controller and
the GPU itself) on the bus, so the reset fails.

Use pci_reset_bus() explicitly instead of pci_reset_function() since it's
OK to reset both devices.

Fix build errors when building almost-allmodconfig but with SYSFS
not set (not enabled). Fixes these build errors:

ERROR: "pci_destroy_slot" [drivers/pci/controller/pci-hyperv.ko] undefined!
ERROR: "pci_create_slot" [drivers/pci/controller/pci-hyperv.ko] undefined!

drivers/pci/slot.o is only built when SYSFS is enabled, so
pci-hyperv.o has an implicit dependency on SYSFS.
Make that explicit.

Also, depending on X86 && X86_64 is not needed, so just change that
to depend on X86_64.

Vidya Sagar 3924bc2fd1 PCI: dwc: Group DBI registers writes requiring unlocking
Some of DesignWare core's DBI registers (a.k.a configuration space
registers) are write-protected with a lock without enabling which they
are read-only by default.

These write-protected registers are implementation specific. Tegra194's
BAR-0 register which is at offset 0x10 in the configuration space is an
example. Current implementation in dw_pcie_setup_rc() API attempts to
unlock those write-protected registers whenever they are updated and
lock them back again for writing.

Group all write-protected registers writes so that locking and unlocking
is performed once to avoid bloating the code with multiple unlock/lock
sequences for all those write-protected registers.

Tegra PCIe rootports don't generate MSI interrupts for PME and AER events.
Since PCIe spec (Ref: r4.0 sec 7.7.1.2 and 7.7.2.2) doesn't support using
a mix of INTx and MSI/MSI-X, MSI needs to be disabled to avoid root ports
service drivers registering their respective ISRs with MSI interrupt and
to let only INTx be used for all events.

Nishka Dasgupta 9e38e690ac PCI: tegra: Fix OF node reference leak
Each iteration of for_each_child_of_node() executes of_node_put() on the
previous node, but in some return paths in the middle of the loop
of_node_put() is missing thus causing a reference leak.

Hence stash these mid-loop return values in a variable 'err' and add a
new label err_node_put which executes of_node_put() on the previous node
and returns 'err' on failure.

Change mid-loop return statements to point to jump to this label to
fix the reference leak.

Sumit Saxena d2182b2d4b PCI: Restore Resizable BAR size bits correctly for 1MB BARs
In a Resizable BAR Control Register, bits 13:8 control the size of the BAR.
The encoded values of these bits are as follows (see PCIe r5.0, sec
7.8.6.3):

  Value    BAR size
     0     1 MB (2^20 bytes)
     1     2 MB (2^21 bytes)
     2     4 MB (2^22 bytes)
   ...
    43     8 EB (2^63 bytes)

Previously we incorrectly set the BAR size bits for a 1 MB BAR to 0x1f
instead of 0, so devices that support that size, e.g., new megaraid_sas and
mpt3sas adapters, fail to initialize during resume from S3 sleep.

Correctly calculate the BAR size bits for Resizable BAR control registers.

Marc Zyngier 467a3bb974 PCI: hv: Allocate a named fwnode instead of an address-based one
To allocate its fwnode that is then used to allocate an irqdomain,
the driver uses irq_domain_alloc_fwnode(), passing it a VA as an
identifier. This is a rather bad idea, as this address ends up
published in debugfs (and we want to move away from VAs there
anyway).

Instead, let's allocate a named fwnode by using the device GUID as
an identifier. It is allegedly unique, and can be traced back to
the original device.

Mika Westerberg 0617bdede5 Revert "PCI: Add missing link delays required by the PCIe spec"
Commit c2bf1fc212 ("PCI: Add missing link delays required by the PCIe
spec") turned out causing issues with some systems either by making them
unresponsive or slowing down runtime and system wide resume of PCIe
devices. While root cause for the unresponsiveness is still under
investigation given the amount of issues reported better to revert it
for now.
