James M Leddy 1c8bb760b6 bnx2[x]: Make module parameters readable
Occasionally users want to know what parameters their Broadcom drivers
are running with. For example, a user may want to know if MSI is
disabled.

This patch has been compile tested.

Maxime Ripard 4dae168678 net: ethernet: sunxi: Add new compatibles
The Allwinner A10 compatibles were following a slightly different compatible

matching the other pattern to the ethernet driver for consistency, and keep the
older one for backward compatibility.

Dmitry Kravkov e8c37aff2a bnx2x: fix L2-GRE TCP issues
When configuring GRE tunnel using OVS, tcp stream is distributed over
all RSS queues which may cause TCP reordering. It happens since OVS
uses L2GRE protocol when kernel gre uses IPGRE.
Patch defaults gre tunnel to L2GRE which allows proper RSS for L2GRE
packets and (implicitly) disables RSS for IPGRE traffic.

Max Filippov a13aff0641 net: ethoc: set up MII management bus clock
MII management bus clock is derived from the MAC clock by dividing it by
MIIMODER register CLKDIV field value. This value may need to be set up
in case it is undefined or its default value is too high (and
communication with PHY is too slow) or too low (and communication with
PHY is impossible). The value of CLKDIV is not specified directly, but
is derived from the MAC clock for the default MII management bus frequency
of 2.5MHz. The MAC clock may be specified in the platform data, or in
the 'clocks' device tree attribute.

Max Filippov 445a48cc9d net: ethoc: don't advertise gigabit speed on attached PHY
OpenCores 10/100 Mbps MAC does not support speeds above 100 Mbps, but does
not disable advertisement when PHY supports them. This results in
non-functioning network when the MAC is connected to a gigabit PHY connected
to a gigabit switch.

The fix is to disable gigabit speed advertisement on attached PHY
unconditionally.

Pull powerpc updates from Ben Herrenschmidt:
"So here's my next branch for powerpc. A bit late as I was on vacation
last week. It's mostly the same stuff that was in next already, I
just added two patches today which are the wiring up of lockref for
powerpc, which for some reason fell through the cracks last time and
  is trivial.

The highlights are, in addition to a bunch of bug fixes:

   - Reworked Machine Check handling on kernels running without a
hypervisor (or acting as a hypervisor). Provides hooks to handle
some errors in real mode such as TLB errors, handle SLB errors,
     etc...

   - Support for retrieving memory error information from the service
processor on IBM servers running without a hypervisor and routing
them to the memory poison infrastructure.

   - _PAGE_NUMA support on server processors

   - 32-bit BookE relocatable kernel support

   - FSL e6500 hardware tablewalk support

   - A bunch of new/revived board support

   - FSL e6500 deeper idle states and altivec powerdown support

You'll notice a generic mm change here, it has been acked by the
relevant authorities and is a pre-req for our _PAGE_NUMA support"

Yuval Mintz 5f6db130b5 bnx2x: More Shutdown revisions
Submission d9aee59 "bnx2x: Don't release PCI bars on shutdown" separated
the PCI remove and shutdown flows, but pci_disable_device() is still
being called on both.
As a result, a dev_WARN_ONCE will be hit during shutdown for every bnx2x
VF probed on a hypervisor (as its shutdown callback will be called and later
pci_disable_sriov() will call its remove callback).

This calls the pci_disable_device() only on the remove flow.

Gavin Shan 8b662fe70c net/cxgb4: Fix referencing freed adapter
The adapter is freed before we check its flags. It was caused
by commit 144be3d ("net/cxgb4: Avoid disabling PCI device for

Ben Hutchings d9317aea16 sfc: Use the correct maximum TX DMA ring size for SFC9100
As part of a workaround for a hardware erratum in the SFC9100 family
(SF bug 35388), the TX_DESC_UPD_DWORD register address is also used
for communicating with the event block, and only descriptor pointer
values < 2048 are valid.

If the TX DMA ring size is increased to 4096 descriptors (which the
firmware still allows) then we may write a descriptor pointer
value >= 2048, which has entirely different and undesirable effects!

Limit the TX DMA ring size correctly when this workaround is in
effect.

Moni Shoua 6cd28f044b net/mlx4_core: Remove unnecessary validation for port number
This is a fix to a regression introduced by commit:
"982290a net/mlx4_core: Check port number for validity
before accessing data"

IPoIB could not attach to multicast group and we get this in dmesg:
[144214.145008] ib0: failed to attach to multicast group, ret = -22
[144214.145016] ib0: couldn't attach QP to multicast group ff12:401b:ffff:0000:0000:0000:ffff:ffff
[144214.145019] ib0: multicast join failed for ff12:401b:ffff:0000:0000:0000:ffff:ffff, status -22

The cause to the problem is because port is extracted from gid[5].
Which is only valid for Ethernet.
Removed this validation in mlx4_qp_attach_common(), which is accessed
from both Ethernet and IB flows.
Error flow for bad port value in Ethernet is already exists in that
function.

Vince Bridgers 2618abb73c stmmac: Fix kernel crashes for jumbo frames
These changes correct the following issues with jumbo frames on the
stmmac driver:

1) The Synopsys EMAC can be configured to support different FIFO
sizes at core configuration time. There's no way to query the
controller and know the FIFO size, so the driver needs to get this
information from the device tree in order to know how to correctly
handle MTU changes and setting up dma buffers. The default
max-frame-size is as currently used, which is the size of a jumbo
frame.

2) The driver was enabling Jumbo frames by default, but was not allocating
dma buffers of sufficient size to handle the maximum possible packet
size that could be received. This led to memory corruption since DMAs were
occurring beyond the extent of the allocated receive buffers for certain types
of network traffic.

damuzi000 75e4364f67 net: stmmac: fix NULL pointer dereference in stmmac_get_tx_hwtstamp
When timestamping is enabled, stmmac_tx_clean will call
stmmac_get_tx_hwtstamp to get tx TS.
But the skb can be NULL because the last of its tx_skbuff is NULL
if this packet frame is filled in more than one descriptors.

To fix the issue, change the code:
- Store TX skb to the tx_skbuff[] of frame's last segment.
- Check skb is not NULL in stmmac_get_tx_hwtstamp.

This allows us to drop the adapter structure in some functions and should
help with performance.

Emil Tantilov 05d063aa86 ixgbevf: make use of the dev pointer in the ixgbevf_ring struct
This patch cleans up the code by removing the adapter structure as
parameter from multiple functions. The adapter structure was previously
being used to access the dev pointer, but this can also be done via the
ixgbevf_ring structure. This way we can drop the adapter as parameter from
these functions.

This patch also includes small cleanups in some error code paths.

Neerav Parikh 4e3b35b044 i40e: add DCB and DCBNL support
This patch adds capability to configure DCB on i40e network
interfaces using Intel XL710 adapter firmware APIs.

By default all VSIs are only enabled for the default traffic
class enabled by firmware for any given PF. The driver would
query the firmware for the traffic classes that are enabled for
the port and reconfigure the LAN VSI to match to the port traffic
class settings. All other VSIs are only enabled for the default
traffic class settings for now.

The driver registers and listens to firmware events that may
require change in the DCB settings. It may reconfigure the VSI
settings based on these events.

This patch exposes IEEE DCBNL interfaces for the i40e driver to
allow any application to query the DCB settings on the adapter.

Neerav Parikh afb3ff0da4 i40e: implement DCB support infastructure
Intel XL710 series of adapters support QoS as per the
IEEE 802.1 DCB (Data Center Bridging) standard.
This is supported in conjuction with:
- Enhanced Transmission Selection (ETS) - IEEE 802.1Qaz
- Priority Flow Control (PFC) - IEEE 802.1Qbb
- DCB eXchange Protocol (DCBX) - IEEE 802.1Qaz

On Intel XL710 adapters DCBX is performed by the adapter
firmware. The firmware runs DCBX in willing mode and configures
the port as per the DCB settings recommended by it's link
partner.

By default in absence of any DCBX; firmware would configure the
port with a single traffic class and all of the port bandwith
will be allocated to that traffic class.

This patch adds functions and calls to support querying and
configuring DCB using firmware APIs.

Anjali Singhai Jain cbf6132524 i40e: refactor flow director
The i40e hardware was generating some inconsistent results
when using current programming methods. This refactor
fixes the inconsistencies that were preventing clean

flow director errors into their own hardware VSI.

This patch also implements a corrected version of the
basic ethtool add ntuple rule, which will disable

Florian Fainelli 4f8d9f3ce0 r6040: add delays in MDIO read/write polling loops
On newer and faster machines (Vortex X86DX) using the r6040 driver, it
was noticed that the driver was returning an error during probing traced
down to being the MDIO bus probing and the inability to complete a MDIO
read operation in time. It turns out that the MDIO operations on these
faster machines usually complete after ~2140 iterations which is bigger
than 2048 (MAC_DEF_TIMEOUT) and results in spurious timeouts depending
on the system load.

Update r6040_phy_read() and r6040_phy_write() to include a 1
micro second delay in each busy-looping iteration of the loop which is a
much safer operation than incrementing MAC_DEF_TIMEOUT.
