mptcp_token_get_sock() may return a mptcp socket that is in
a different net namespace than the socket that received the token value.
The mptcp syncookie code path had an explicit check for this,
this moves the test into mptcp_token_get_sock() function.
Eventually token.c should be converted to pernet storage, but
such change is not suitable for net tree.

This change reorder the mptcp_options_received fields
to shrink the structure a bit and to ensure the most
frequently used fields are all in the first cacheline.
Sub-opt specific flags are moved out of the suboptions area,
and we must now explicitly set them when the relevant
suboption is parsed.
There is a notable exception: 'csum_reqd' is used by both DSS
and MPC suboptions, and keeping such field in the suboptions
flag area will simplfy the next patch.

When a bad checksum is detected, set the send_mp_fail flag to send out
the MP_FAIL option.
Add a new function mptcp_has_another_subflow() to check whether there's
only a single subflow.
When multiple subflows are in use, close the affected subflow with a RST
that includes an MP_FAIL option and discard the data with the bad
checksum.
Set the sk_state of the subsocket to TCP_CLOSE, then the flag
MPTCP_WORK_CLOSE_SUBFLOW will be set in subflow_sched_work_if_closed,
and the subflow will be closed.
When a single subfow is in use, temporarily handled by sending MP_FAIL
with a RST too.

This patch added handling for receiving MP_FAIL suboption.
Add a new members mp_fail and fail_seq in struct mptcp_options_received.
When MP_FAIL suboption is received, set mp_fail to 1 and save the sequence
number to fail_seq.
Then invoke mptcp_pm_mp_fail_received to deal with the MP_FAIL suboption.

This patch added the MP_FAIL suboption sending support.
Add a new flag named send_mp_fail in struct mptcp_subflow_context. If
this flag is set, send out MP_FAIL suboption.
Add a new member fail_seq in struct mptcp_out_options to save the data
sequence number to put into the MP_FAIL suboption.
An MP_FAIL option could be included in a RST or on the subflow-level
ACK.

Currently we have several protocol constraints on MPTCP options
generation (e.g. MPC and MPJ subopt are mutually exclusive)
and some additional ones required by our implementation
(e.g. almost all ADD_ADDR variant are mutually exclusive with
everything else).
We can leverage the above to optimize the out option generation:
we check DSS/MPC/MPJ presence in a mutually exclusive way,
avoiding many unneeded conditionals in the common cases.
Additionally extend the existing constraints on ADD_ADDR opt on
all subvariants, so that it becomes fully mutually exclusive with
the above and we can skip another conditional statement for the
common case.
This change is also needed by the next patch.

Use MPTCP_ADD_ADDR_SIGNAL only for the action of sending ADD_ADDR, and
use MPTCP_ADD_ADDR_ECHO only for the action of sending ADD_ADDR echo.
Use msk->pm.local to save the announced ADD_ADDR address only, and reuse
msk->pm.remote to save the announced ADD_ADDR_ECHO address.

This patch moved the drop_other_suboptions check from
mptcp_established_options_add_addr() into mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal(), do
it under the PM lock to avoid the race between this check and
mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal().
For this, added a new parameter for mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal() to get
the drop_other_suboptions value. And drop the other suboptions after the
option length check if drop_other_suboptions is true.
Additionally, always drop the other suboption for TCP pure ack:
that makes both the code simpler and the MPTCP behaviour more
consistent.

The msk can use backup subflows to transmit in-sequence data
only if there are no other active subflow. On active backup
scenario, the MPTCP connection can do forward progress only
due to MPTCP retransmissions - rtx can pick backup subflows.
This patch introduces a new flag flow MPTCP subflows: if the
underlying TCP connection made no progresses for long time,
and there are other less problematic subflows available, the
given subflow become stale.
Stale subflows are not considered active: if all non backup
subflows become stale, the MPTCP scheduler can pick backup
subflows for plain transmissions.
Stale subflows can return in active state, as soon as any reply
from the peer is observed.
Active backup scenarios can now leverage the available b/w
with no restrinction.

The PM can close active subflow, e.g. due to ingress RM_ADDR
option. Such subflow could carry data still unacked at the
MPTCP-level, both in the write and the rtx_queue, which has
never reached the other peer.
Currently the mptcp-level retransmission will deliver such data,
but at a very low rate (at most 1 DSM for each MPTCP rtx interval).
We can speed-up the recovery a lot, moving all the unacked in the
tcp write_queue, so that it will be pushed again via other
subflows, at the speed allowed by them.
Also make available the new helper for later patches.

The current mptcp re-inject strategy is very aggressive,
we have mptcp-level retransmissions even on single subflow
connection, if the link in-use is lossy.
Let's be a little more conservative: we do retransmit
only if at least a subflow has write and rtx queue empty.
Additionally use the backup subflows only if the active
subflows are stale - no progresses in at least an rtx period
and ignore stale subflows for rtx timeout update

After commit 879526030c ("mptcp: protect the rx path with
the msk socket spinlock") the rmem currently used by a given
msk is really sk_rmem_alloc - rmem_released.
The safety check in mptcp_data_ready() does not take the above
in due account, as a result legit incoming data is kept in
subflow receive queue with no reason, delaying or blocking
MPTCP-level ack generation.
This change addresses the issue introducing a new helper to fetch
the rmem memory and using it as needed. Additionally add a MIB
counter for the exceptional event described above - the peer is
misbehaving.
Finally, introduce the required annotation when rmem_released is
updated.

The current cleanup rbuf tries a bit too hard to avoid acquiring
the subflow socket lock. We may end-up delaying the needed ack,
or skip acking a blocked subflow.
Address the above extending the conditions used to trigger the cleanup
to reflect more closely what TCP does and invoking tcp_cleanup_rbuf()
on all the active subflows.
Note that we can't replicate the exact tests implemented in
tcp_cleanup_rbuf(), as MPTCP lacks some of the required info - e.g.
ping-pong mode.

This patch added a new flag named deny_join_id0 in struct
mptcp_options_received. Set it when MP_CAPABLE with the flag
MPTCP_CAP_DENYJOIN_ID0 is received.
Also add a new flag remote_deny_join_id0 in struct mptcp_pm_data. When the
flag deny_join_id0 is set, set this remote_deny_join_id0 flag.
In mptcp_pm_create_subflow_or_signal_addr, if the remote_deny_join_id0 flag
is set, and the remote address id is zero, stop this connection.

The msk socket state is currently updated in a few spots without
owning the msk socket lock itself.
Some of such operations are safe, as they happens before exposing
the msk socket to user-space and can't race with other changes.
A couple of them, at connect time, can actually race with close()
or shutdown(), leaving breaking the socket state machine.
This change addresses the issue moving such update under the msk
socket lock with the usual:
<acquire spinlock>
<check sk lock onwers>
<ev defer to release_cb>
scheme.

When receiving 32 bits DSS ack from the peer, the MPTCP need
to expand them to 64 bits value. The current code is buggy
WRT detecting 32 bits ack wrap-around: when the wrap-around
happens the current unsigned 32 bit ack value is lower than
the previous one.
Additionally check for possible reverse wrap and make the helper
visible, so that we could re-use it for the next patch.

This patch added three new members named data_csum, csum_len and
map_csum in struct mptcp_subflow_context, implemented a new function
named mptcp_validate_data_checksum().
If the current mapping is valid and csum is enabled traverse the later
pending skbs and compute csum incrementally till the whole mapping has
been covered. If not enough data is available in the rx queue, return
MAPPING_EMPTY - that is, no data.
Next subflow_data_ready invocation will trigger again csum computation.
When the full DSS is available, validate the csum and return to the
caller an appropriate error code, to trigger subflow reset of fallback
as required by the RFC.
Additionally:
- if the csum prevence in the DSS don't match the negotiated value e.g.
csum present, but not requested, return invalid mapping to trigger
subflow reset.
- keep some csum state, to avoid re-compute the csum on the same data
when multiple rx queue traversal are required.
- clean-up the uncompleted mapping from the receive queue on close, to
allow proper subflow disposal

This patch added a new member named csum in struct mptcp_options_received.
When parsing the MP_CAPABLE with data, if the checksum is enabled,
adjust the expected_opsize. If the receiving option length matches the
length with the data checksum, get the checksum value and save it in
mp_opt->csum. And in mptcp_incoming_options, pass it to mpext->csum.
We always parse any csum/nocsum combination and delay the presence check
to later code, to allow reset if missing.
Additionally, in the TX path, use the newly introduce ext field to avoid
MPTCP csum recomputation on TCP retransmission and unneeded csum update
on when setting the data fin_flag.

This patch added a new member named csum in struct mptcp_ext, implemented
a new function named mptcp_generate_data_checksum().
Generate the data checksum in mptcp_sendmsg_frag, save it in mpext->csum.
Note that we must generate the csum for zero window probe, too.
Do the csum update incrementally, to avoid multiple csum computation
when the data is appended to existing skb.
Note that in a later patch we will skip unneeded csum related operation.
Changes not included here to keep the delta small.

when Linux receives an echo-ed ADD_ADDR, it checks the IP address against
the list of "announced" addresses. In case of a positive match, the timer
that handles retransmissions is stopped regardless of the 'Address Id' in
the received packet: this behaviour does not comply with RFC8684 3.4.1.
Fix it by validating the 'Address Id' in received echo-ed ADD_ADDRs.
Tested using packetdrill, with the following captured output:

We can't use tcp_set_congestion_control() on an mptcp socket, as
such function can end-up accessing a tcp-specific field -
prior_ssthresh - causing an OOB access.
To allow propagating the correct ca algo on subflow, cache the ca
name at initialization time.
Additionally avoid overriding the user-selected CA (if any) at
clone time.

Paolo Abeni suggested to avoid re-syncing new subflows because
they inherit options from listener. In case options were set on
listener but are not set on mptcp-socket there is no need to
do any synchronisation for new subflows.
This change sets sockopt_seq of new mptcp sockets to the seq of
the mptcp listener sock.
Subflow sequence is set to the embedded tcp listener sk.
Add a comment explaing why sk_state is involved in sockopt_seq
generation.

Handle following cases:
1. setsockopt is called with multiple subflows.
Change might have to be mirrored to all of them.
This is done directly in process context/setsockopt call.
2. Outgoing subflow is created after one or several setsockopt()
calls have been made. Old setsockopt changes should be
synced to the new socket.
3. Incoming subflow, after setsockopt call(s).
Cases 2 and 3 are handled right after the join list is spliced to the conn
list.
Not all sockopt values can be just be copied by value, some require
helper calls. Those can acquire socket lock (which can sleep).
If the join->conn list splicing is done from preemptible context,
synchronization can be done right away, otherwise its deferred to work
queue.

This patch added a new struct mptcp_addr_info member addr in struct
mptcp_options_received, and dropped the original family, addr_id, addr,
addr6 and port fields in it. Then we can pass the parameter mp_opt.addr
directly to mptcp_pm_add_addr_received and mptcp_pm_add_addr_echoed.
Since the port number became big-endian now, use htons to convert the
incoming port number to it. Also use ntohs to convert it when passing
it to add_addr_generate_hmac or printing it out.

This patch moved the mptcp_addr_info struct from protocol.h to mptcp.h,
added a new struct mptcp_addr_info member addr in struct mptcp_out_options,
and dropped the original addr, addr6, addr_id and port fields in it. Then
we can use opts->addr to get the adding address from PM directly using
mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal.
Since the port number became big-endian now, use ntohs to convert it
before sending it out with the ADD_ADDR suboption. Also convert it

This patch moved the flags and ifindex fields from struct mptcp_addr_info
to struct mptcp_pm_addr_entry. Add the flags and ifindex values as two new
parameters to __mptcp_subflow_connect.
In mptcp_pm_create_subflow_or_signal_addr, pass the local address entry's
flags and ifindex fields to __mptcp_subflow_connect.
In mptcp_pm_nl_add_addr_received, just pass two zeros to it.

The MPTCP reset option allows to carry a mptcp-specific error code that
provides more information on the nature of a connection reset.
Reset option data received gets stored in the subflow context so it can
be sent to userspace via the 'subflow closed' netlink event.
When a subflow is closed, the desired error code that should be sent to
the peer is also placed in the subflow context structure.
If a reset is sent before subflow establishment could complete, e.g. on
HMAC failure during an MP_JOIN operation, the mptcp skb extension is
used to store the reset information.

When an invalid address was announced, the subflow couldn't be created
for this address. Therefore mptcp_pm_nl_subflow_established couldn't be
invoked. Then the next addresses in the local address list didn't have a
chance to be announced.
This patch invokes the new function mptcp_pm_add_addr_echoed when the
address is echoed. In it, use mptcp_lookup_anno_list_by_saddr to check
whether this address is in the anno_list. If it is, PM schedules the
status MPTCP_PM_SUBFLOW_ESTABLISHED to invoke
mptcp_pm_create_subflow_or_signal_addr to deal with the next address in
the local address list.

the workqueue to perform the retransmission, if the
msk socket lock is held at rtx timer expiration.

In mptcp_pm_remove_subflow, changed the input parameter local_id as an
list of removing address ids, and passed the list to
mptcp_pm_nl_rm_subflow_received.
In mptcp_pm_nl_rm_subflow_received, iterated each address id from the
received ids list. Then shut down and closed each address id's subsocket.
In mptcp_nl_remove_subflow_and_signal_addr, put the single address id into
an ids list, and passed it to mptcp_pm_remove_subflow.

This patch defined a new struct mptcp_rm_list, the ids field was an
array of the removing address ids, the nr field was the valid number of
removing address ids in the array. The array size was definced as a new
macro MPTCP_RM_IDS_MAX. Changed the member rm_id of struct
mptcp_out_options to rm_list.
In mptcp_established_options_rm_addr, invoked mptcp_pm_rm_addr_signal to
get the rm_list. According the number of addresses in it, calculated
the padded RM_ADDR suboption length. And saved the ids array in struct
mptcp_out_options's rm_list member.
In mptcp_write_options, iterated each address id from struct
mptcp_out_options's rm_list member, set the invalid ones as TCPOPT_NOP,
then filled them into the RM_ADDR suboption.
Changed TCPOLEN_MPTCP_RM_ADDR_BASE from 4 to 3.

Allow userspace (mptcpd) to subscribe to mptcp genl multicast events.
This implementation reuses the same event API as the mptcp kernel fork
to ease integration of existing tools, e.g. mptcpd.
Supported events include:
1. start and close of an mptcp connection
2. start and close of subflows (joins)
3. announce and withdrawals of addresses
4. subflow priority (backup/non-backup) change.

Prepare for subflow close events:
When mptcp connection is torn down its enough to send the mptcp socket
close notification rather than a subflow close event for all of the
subflows followed by the mptcp close event.
This splits the helper: mptcp_close_ssk() will emit the close
notification, __mptcp_close_ssk will not.

The mptcp_worker tries to update the MPTCP retransmission timer
even if such timer is not currently scheduled.
The mptcp_rtx_head() return value is bogus: we can have enqueued
data not yet transmitted. The above may additionally cause spurious,
unneeded MPTCP-level retransmissions.
Fix the issue adding an explicit clearing of the rtx queue before
trying to retransmit and checking for unacked data.
Additionally drop an unneeded timer stop call and the unused
mptcp_rtx_tail() helper.

Currently all errors received on msk subflows are ignored.
We need to catch at least the errors on connect() and
on fallback sockets.
Use a custom sk_error_report callback at subflow level,
and do the real action under the msk socket lock - via
the usual sock_owned_by_user()/release_callback() schema.

This patch adds two new helpers, subflow_use_different_sport and
subflow_use_different_dport, to check whether the subflow's source or
destination port number is different from the msk's port number. When
receiving the MP_JOIN's SYN/SYNACK/ACK, we do these port number checks
and print out the different port numbers.
And furthermore, when receiving the MP_JOIN's SYN/ACK, we also use a new
helper mptcp_pm_sport_in_anno_list to check whether this port number is
announced. If it isn't, we need to abort this connection.
This patch also populates the local address's port field in
local_address.

This patch creates a listening socket when an address with a port-number
is added by PM netlink. Then binds the new port to the socket, and
listens for new connections.
When the address is removed or the addresses are flushed by PM netlink,
release the listening socket.

This patch drops the per-msk values add_addr_signal_max,
add_addr_accept_max, local_addr_max and subflows_max fields in struct
mptcp_pm_data, uses the pernet *_max values instead. And adds four new
helpers to get the pernet *_max values separately.

With version 0 of the protocol it was legal to encode the 'Subflow Id' in
the MP_PRIO suboption, to specify which subflow would change its 'Backup'
flag. This has been removed from v1 specification: thus, according to RFC
8684 §3.3.8, the resulting 'Length' for MP_PRIO changed from 4 to 3 byte.
Current Linux generates / parses MP_PRIO according to the old spec, using
'Length' equal to 4, and hardcoding 1 as 'Subflow Id'; RFC compliance can
improve if we change 'Length' in other to become 3, leaving a 'Nop' after
the MP_PRIO suboption. In this way the kernel will emit and accept *only*
MP_PRIO suboptions that are compliant to version 1 of the MPTCP protocol.

On MPTCP-level ack reception, the packet scheduler
may select a subflow other then the current one.
Prior to this commit we rely on the workqueue to trigger
action on such subflow.
This changeset introduces an infrastructure that allows
any MPTCP subflow to schedule actions (MPTCP xmit) on
others subflows without resorting to (multiple) process
reschedule.
A dummy NAPI instance is used instead. When MPTCP needs to
trigger action an a different subflow, it enqueues the target
subflow on the NAPI backlog and schedule such instance as needed.
The dummy NAPI poll method walks the sockets backlog and tries
to acquire the (BH) socket lock on each of them. If the socket
is owned by the user space, the action will be completed by
the sock release cb, otherwise push is started.
This change leverages the delegated action infrastructure
to avoid invoking the MPTCP worker to spool the pending data,
when the packet scheduler picks a subflow other then the one
currently processing the incoming MPTCP-level ack.
Additionally we further refine the subflow selection
invoking the packet scheduler for each chunk of data
even inside __mptcp_subflow_push_pending().

After commit 6e628cd3a8 ("mptcp: use mptcp release_cb for
delayed tasks"), MPTCP never sets the flag bit SOCK_NOSPACE
on its subflow. As a side effect, autotune never takes place,
as it happens inside tcp_new_space(), which in turn is called
only when the mentioned bit is set.
Let's sendmsg() set the subflows NOSPACE bit when looking for
more memory and use the subflow write_space callback to propagate
the snd buf update and wake-up the user-space.
Additionally, this allows dropping a bunch of duplicate code and
makes the SNDBUF_LIMITED chrono relevant again for MPTCP subflows.

Currently, incoming subflows link to the parent socket,
while outgoing ones link to a per subflow socket. The latter
is not really needed, except at the initial connect() time and
for the first subflow.
Always graft the outgoing subflow to the parent socket and
free the unneeded ones early.
This allows some code cleanup, reduces the amount of memory
used and will simplify the next patch

This patch added the incoming MP_PRIO logic:
Added a flag named mp_prio in struct mptcp_options_received, to mark the
MP_PRIO is received, and save the priority value to struct
mptcp_options_received's backup member. Then invoke
mptcp_pm_mp_prio_received with the receiving subsocket and the backup
value.
In mptcp_pm_mp_prio_received, get the subflow context according the input
subsocket, and change the subflow's backup as the incoming priority value.

This patch added the outgoing MP_PRIO logic:
In mptcp_pm_nl_mp_prio_send_ack, find the related subflow and subsocket
according to the input parameter addr. Save the input priority value to
suflow's backup, then set subflow's send_mp_prio flag to true, and save
the input priority value to suflow's request_bkup. Finally, send out a
pure ACK on the related subsocket.
In mptcp_established_options_mp_prio, check whether the subflow's
send_mp_prio is set. If it is, this is the packet for sending MP_PRIO.
So save subflow->request_bkup value to mptcp_out_options's backup, and
change the option type to OPTION_MPTCP_PRIO.
In mptcp_write_options, clear the send_mp_prio flag and send out the
MP_PRIO suboption with mptcp_out_options's backup value.

When multiple subflows are active, we can receive a
window update on subflow with no write space available.
MPTCP will try to push frames on such subflow and will
fail. Pending frames will be pushed only after receiving
a window update on a subflow with some wspace available.
Overall the above could lead to suboptimal aggregate
bandwidth usage.
Instead, we should try to push pending frames as soon as
the subflow reaches both conditions mentioned above.
We can finally enable self-tests with asymmetric links,
as the above makes them finally pass.

After commit 0397c6d85f ("mptcp: keep unaccepted MPC subflow into
join list"), the msk's workqueue and/or PM can touch the MPC
subflow - and acquire its socket lock - even if it's still unaccepted.
If the above event races with the relevant listener socket close, we
can end-up with the above splat.
This change addresses the issue delaying the MPC socket insertion
in conn_list at accept time - that is, partially reverting the
blamed commit.
We must additionally ensure that mptcp_pm_fully_established()
happens after accept() time, or the PM will not be able to
handle properly such event - conn_list could be empty otherwise.
In the receive path, we check the subflow list node to ensure
it is out of the listener queue. Be sure client subflows do
not match transiently such condition moving them into the join
list earlier at creation time.
Since we now have multiple mptcp_pm_fully_established() call sites
from different code-paths, said helper can now race with itself.
Use an additional PM status bit to avoid multiple notifications.

Since the RM_ADDR signal had been reused with add_addr_signal, it's not
suitable to call it add_addr_signal or mptcp_add_addr_status. So this
patch renamed add_addr_signal to addr_signal, and renamed
mptcp_add_addr_status to mptcp_addr_signal_status.

This patch reused add_addr_signal for the RM_ADDR announcing signal, by
defining a new ADD_ADDR status named MPTCP_RM_ADDR_SIGNAL. Then the flag
rm_addr_signal in PM could be dropped.

This patch added a new parameter 'port' for mptcp_pm_announce_addr. If
this parameter is true, we set the MPTCP_ADD_ADDR_PORT bit of the
add_addr_signal. That means the announced address is added with a port
number.

This patch added a new add_addr_signal type named MPTCP_ADD_ADDR_PORT,
to identify it is an address with port to be added.
It also added a new parameter 'port' for both mptcp_add_addr_len and
mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal.
In mptcp_established_options_add_addr, we check whether the announced
address is added with port. If it is, we put this port number to
mptcp_out_options's port field.

In rfc8684, the length of ADD_ADDR suboption with IPv4 address and port
is 18 octets, but mptcp_write_options is 32-bit aligned, so we need to
pad it to 20 octets. All the other port related option lengths need to
be added up 2 octets similarly.
This patch added a new field 'port' in mptcp_out_options. When this
field is set with a port number, we need to add up 4 octets for the
ADD_ADDR suboption, and put the port number into the suboption.

We have some tasks triggered by the subflow receive path
which require to access the msk socket status, specifically:
mptcp_clean_una() and mptcp_push_pending()
We have almost everything in place to defer to the msk
release_cb such tasks when the msk sock is owned.
Since the worker is no more used to clean the acked data,
for fallback sockets we need to explicitly flush them.
As an added bonus we can move the wake-up code in __mptcp_clean_una(),
simplify a lot mptcp_poll() and move the timer update under
the data lock.
The worker is now used only to process and send DATA_FIN
packets and do the mptcp-level retransmissions.

Move the TX skbs allocation in mptcp_sendmsg() scope,
and tentatively pre-allocate a skbs number proportional
to the sendmsg() length.
Use the ssk tx skb cache to prevent the subflow allocation.
This allows removing the msk skb extension cache and will
make possible the later patches.

Such spinlock is currently used only to protect the 'owned'
flag inside the socket lock itself. With this patch, we extend
its scope to protect the whole msk receive path and
sk_forward_memory.
Given the above, we can always move data into the msk receive
queue (and OoO queue) from the subflow.
We leverage the previous commit, so that we need to acquire the
spinlock in the tx path only when moving fwd memory.
recvmsg() must now explicitly acquire the socket spinlock
when moving skbs out of sk_receive_queue. To reduce the number of
lock operations required we use a second rx queue and splice the
first into the latter in mptcp_lock_sock(). Additionally rmem
allocated memory is bulk-freed via release_cb()

This leverages the previous commit to reserve the wmem
required for the sendmsg() operation when the msk socket
lock is first acquired.
Some heuristics are used to get a reasonable [over] estimation of
the whole memory required. If we can't forward alloc such amount
fallback to a reasonable small chunk, otherwise enter the wait
for memory path.
When sendmsg() needs more memory it looks at wmem_reserved
first and if that is exhausted, move more space from
sk_forward_alloc.
The reserved memory is not persistent and is released at the
next socket unlock via the release_cb().
Overall this will simplify the next patch.
